Park Life Cafés Heaton Park in Bury

El café junto al lago solía ser encantador, pero ahora es mimado por perros mal comportados. La señora puso mi bebida en el mostrador, pero ni siquiera pude llegar a ella porque un perro grande estaba saltando en el lado del cliente del mostrador y poniendo sus patas sucias por todo él. ¡Aquí es donde se coloca la comida! El dueño del perro no hizo nada hasta que le pedí que bajara a su perro para que yo pudiera tomar mi bebida. Otro perro grande estaba bloqueando el acceso al mostrador donde estaba el azúcar. Entonces una mujer entró con dos perros que ladraban tan fuerte que nadie podía oír lo que alguien más decía. Ser "amigable para perros" para perros bien portados es una cosa, pero esto fue horrendo. ¡Y solía ser un lugar tan bonito!

Recientemente visité y pedí 3 bebidas calientes. Esperé más de 20 minutos y cuando vi a la gente que iba había llegado mucho después de que yo recogiera sus bebidas fui al mostrador. El personal me dijo que ya había tomado las bebidas y sospecho que pensaron que estaba tratando de obtener 3 más gratis. Me sentí avergonzado ya que la zona del mostrador estaba bastante ocupada. Le expliqué que no era un mentiroso ni un ladrón. La joven que estaba detrás del mostrador dijo que se había olvidado de hacerlas.

Realmente no uso mucho el café Stables en estos días, tiende a estar muy ocupado, así que vaya a la Gema Oculta. Sin embargo, en esta ocasión estábamos en el área de juegos con el nieto y decidí tomar un café. Moraleja es que debes leer el menú y prestar atención. Café con leche de avena, gema oculta no cobra pero el precio en los establos, £ 0. 75 peniques por la avena. Hablando de ser estafado, puedo comprar un litro por eso. Está en el menú, pero la mayoría de los lugares cobran 20 / 30 p. Lo pensaré dos veces antes de ir allí de nuevo, o al menos pedir avena.

Servicio súper amable de las damas que sirven. Gran café. Café amigo de perros. Buena comida y pasteles. Disfruté. Reccomendar

We have been to the stables cafe a few times and it is ok. Today we went and had 2 sausage rolls and 2 hot drinks. £13 for 4 items and the cold sausage rolls were terrible. Inedible and had a strange taste.

The stables cafe and staff are amazing. The food is brilliant and I can highly recommend the bacon and sausage sandwich they’re to die for.

ur afternoon tea experience was amazing from start to finish. Our server, Angel, was so warm and welcoming. Sarah went above and beyond to cater to my mums gluten allergy and was very attentive to detail. Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon. We will definitely be back!! X

The staff in this cafe are rude. Waited ages to be served. Dogs allowed behind food counter. So unygenic.

I’ve been going to the stables cafe for about a year, several times a week. The staff are amazing especially Jess. Jess is polite caring and very kind. Jess always makes a first class coffee and my dog loves that she gets her bacon bits especially when Jess reminds me! Thank you Jess xx

Attractive decor and friendly staff, so 5 rating for that. But I am only giving it 3 because they proudly proclaim that their coffee contains both Arabica beans (excellent) and Robusta beans (the cheap crap that goes into instant coffee). This isn't lying, but presenting this as a really good thing is very misleading - as it's a bad thing! So although the coffee is a disappointment, I did like the cafe.

Lovely walk around the park and thought we would call for breakfast at the Stables cafe.. big mistake! We ordered beans on toast and a sausage sandwich.. not much can go wrong with that can it?!?! The sausage sandwich was ok however beans on toast arrived with no butter on the toast and a tiny portion of beans we asked for the toast to be buttered and that’s what they did went away scraped the beans off buttered it and put the beans back on and it came back cold.. and for this we paid £15.45

I had a garlic bread (worth £8) from the mobile pizza van and it was discussing like it was a £1 cheap frozen garlic bread I was ill for over 24hrs with a bad stomach would not advice eating there very over priced and not nice at all.

It’s a shame this cafe is so overpriced, I had a hot choc it was £3.80 , very expensive, didn’t even have any cream or marshmallows with it , decided to take a flask with me in future , I’m sure this cafe would do much better if the prices were more reasonable

We arrived at a very quiet time & put a lunch order in for two people. I was told that they 'no longer dd' quite a few items in the menu (they were on four days ago) so the menu choice was very limited. One of the items took a long while to arrive, even longer for the other one as we had to chase it up, It turned out that they'd forgotten it. One of the staff was a young lad who didn't have a clue what he was doing & obviously was not supported by more experienced staff member(s). The food quality was acceptable, but overpriced for the portion size. My advice is to go to the Hidden Gem cafe if you're in Heaton Park (unfortunately not doing meals between Christmas & New Year).

The cafe is well signposted, clean and with very friendly staff. However, the pre-prepared sandwiches are ridiculously expensive. £7.10 for a ham bloomer! Be aware!

Came with my family and had a very nice time here. Very good service, quality food and a great atmosphere for family time. Had a lovely encounter with a young girl on the till, so happy to help and mad eusre we were satisfied with our food.

Falafel burger - £7.50! In a park cafe?! (It tasted ok however) Kids portion of fish goujons and chips - four measly slithers of over cooked fish in breadcrumbs and bog standard chips - £6.50! Daylight robbery. No sign of any veg or side salad, cos you know, it's important kids have just carbohydrates and protein, nothing else. Long queues. Very poor. Won't be rushing back.

Whilst waiting for my hot drinks today I watched a young girl at the till sneezing continuously into her bare hands and carrying on touching cutlery and food. I was actually disgusted when she then carried on setting up trays to take to the domes outside and sneezed again into her hands. With covid on the increase her hygiene was disgusting. I was glad she didn't hand me my drinks. Not very impressed.

Amazing, the food was beautiful but what really made the visit special was the service. Maurice and Nora were so thoughtful and took extra care of us. Even catered for a very fussy eater. Very attentive and funny! They’re a real asset to the business and I don’t think the trip would have been the same without them. Only thing I would say is I wish we could have tipped them. There was no option to tip at the till! Thanks again to both Nora and Maurice from the Murphy house. You made my mums birthday so special.

Visited here with a friend . Paid £5 for a tiny bacon roll that used cheap bacon .Friend bought a slice of cake for nearly £4- really dry and again not worth the money . Appreciate there has to be a bit of a mark up but prices are a rip off and quality is poor .

Very very bad. I had a Tomato mozzarella panini with bacon and the bread was soggy and not baked, my boyfriend had a barbecoa chilli con carne with fries and it hardly had any beef and the chips were rock solid. The coffee is ok....

Very good value and excellent service, a bit tatty inside due to lots of muddy dog paws, but a welcome bacon cob, and mushroom pesto sandwich went down a treat.
