Par One Bar & Restaurant by Prestwich Golf Club in Bury

8 of us played this fantastic golf course with a great clubhouse with sky sports and a games room. The breakfast was one of the best I've had. We will be back soon.

On the whole, it was good apart from the fact that there is a door with a disability lock, which I have a key for. Unfortunately, it doesn't contain a toilet, only washing machines and dryer when a member of staff told be not to go in I did tell them that they needed to take the disability badge of the lock as it was very confusing

Private members club attached to the golf course although you can book for food (lunch and tea). Not cheapest place for food or drink but quantity is reasonable and kitchen works quickly. Atmospheric is a tad subdued, it is a golf course. Parking may be restricted in good golfing weather.

We went for a Groupon cream tea. It is a really nice room. We had lovely nfresh food and very attentive staff.

This place really effd up our Christmas family dinner, the sausages were raw and made my kids sick, the food was under cooked (even the veg was horribly done and under cooked) ruined my Christmas dinner completely and made my children sick. Please don’t trust this place for a safe meal.

Lovely afternoon tea with my daughter. Food was absolutely delicious. Staff were so friendly. Came home and already booked another one.

Christmas dinner turned into 3 hour nightmare, we had booked 2 months for a reservation for this buisness just to experience the WORST establishment to dine at. To start off I had chosen a soup to start off which was mediocre at best for the price, then had to wait 1 hour for my turkey Christmas dinner (which could have came quicker if I had made it myself at home and saved ALOT of money) then waited a further 1 hour with no service from the staff, well actually ignored more like. So after an hour my acidic grotesque sorbet arrived which could have been made off a mediocre child practicing how to make a dessert. So a further hour passes whilst I waited for my dessert which was a cheese board and for some reason takes another hour to arrive in which we decided to leave due to the staff not caring about the speed of food getting served. We had been given a measly discount which was the drinks for free after complaining about how slow the food had been coming out. Absolutely appalling service, christmas ruined. Disgusting buisness practice, and forgot to mention the sausage was not even cooked and not sure how this was even served due to the chef not having a clue what cooked sausage looks like? Disgusting buisness, avoid if you value your money.

Shambolic Christmas Day lunch for a family of 3. Waiting for 3 hours before leaving and not even had dessert at this point. Both kitchen and waiting staff unable to cope with the volume of patrons in attendance even though pre orders were given weeks before. Undercooked food served from tge kitchen. Waiting staff too busy to raise a complaint with.

Very bad Christmas lunch experience today. Family of 3 booked in for Christmas Day lunch. 3 hours later and no sign of dessert had to leave. Food undercooked. Kitchen and waiting staff unable to cope with volume of patrons. Christmas Day ruined. Completely underwhelmed with the whole Par One experience.

I took a friend for afternoon tea and we both cannot praise this bar/restaurant enough. Lovely setting, so welcoming and spotlessly clean. Quality food, and lots of it ( we couldn't finish the cakes!) served by such a friendly member of staff that we didn't feel like leaving. We will definitely be returning.

Had a lovely evening. Meal was delicious and cooked to perfection 😋 service was excellent too. Would definitely recommend. Needs more people to try this new restaurant out! Will go again and already booked for Xmas day dinner. Only negative I would have is more variety on the menu, possibly steak etc but overall 5 stars!!

Outstanding! I came across this venue a couple of months ago when I was let down by another venue and have been in regular contact with the Manager, Gage. I was looking to host a private event and Gage could not have been more helpful, flexible, co-operative, understanding, the list goes on! From the first conversation to the event, nothing was any trouble. There were 14 of us and we all dined in. The food was absolutely fantastic. Top quality, locally sourced, great portions and very reasonably priced. I was so excited to hear about future plans. I know my group and I will be back for many more visits. I need to try and schedule in Afternoon Tea, Brunch, Dinner (again,) before the end of the year! Simply cannot wait to support this wonderful, independent venue again. Special thanks to Gage, Sophie and the Catering Team for looking after us so well despite being in the middle of building works! Well done and keep up the good work. See you very soon.
