I like the taste of Costa so call at the motorway services that have it. I hope they open more abroad as Starbucks have.

There's a stupid preacher outside who won't stop blowing a stupid horn and won't stop preaching Christianity when muslims and jews are there. What the heck? Can they ask him to leave and not ruin my day with his stupid preaching? I just want to walk through and do my thing without someone preaching!

Atmosphere is crap staff don't smile put under.presure need change had to stop my drink as not enough to make the one I wanted I don't know why i bother coming here if I feel depressed each time

I attended Costa Coffee Prestwich on Friday and the coffee itself was horrendous. I ordered a simple latte, but what I received was a lukewarm, watery mess that tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. There was no flavour, no richness, just a sad, excuse of a coffee. To make matters worse, the cup was only half full, as if they couldn't be bothered to fill it properly. The atmosphere was equally dismal. The tables were dirty, the floor was sticky, and there was a strange, unpleasant smell lingering in the air. It felt more like a neglected storage room than a welcoming coffee shop. However, the worst part of my visit was witnessing the manager's behaviour towards the staff. It was clear that the employees were under a lot of stress, and it wasn't hard to see why. The manager was rude, condescending, and downright mean. I overheard them berating an employee for a minor mistake in front of customers, which was incredibly unprofessional and embarrassing. No wonder the staff seemed so unhappy and disengaged who could blame them with a boss like that? Overall, my visit to Costa Coffee in Prestwich was a complete disaster. I would strongly advise anyone considering going there to think twice and find a better place to get their caffeine fix. This place is a prime example of how not to run a coffee shop, starting from the top down. Avoid at all costs!

The driver sent the wrong order which had a different name and was an Uber eats delivery. I have contacted just eat to claim a refund as my order never arrived. They have refused to issue a refund at all. So beware if they make a mistake they won’t admit it

Staff have good rapport with the customers

I love to come here sometimes. I love how you have special coffee around Easter, Halloween and Yule. It makes a great change. Always very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Been coming here for years and have good memories here. Costa also serves milk on its own if you ever fancy some.

Put prices up on all cakes...removed dine in and out prices...cakes not worth the money..too small..no value for money..

Some of the staff provide good customer service and put under pressure especially stood in the que. I feel uncomfortable sitting here. Even though I like buying food and drinks. 2 members put under pressures with 6 receipts6 drinkes to make and obvs waiting customers. NoT THERE FAULT though I feel its non of my business I do feel sorry for them. Making something I like doing and not wanting to be in this place. As the atmosphere is eerie. Costa needs to be MANAGED better so ppl like myself can enjoy sitting here 😒 or feeling uncomfortable when it should be a relaxing and enjoyable environment

Was served by a lovely young lady named hope, she was polite and offered to take my drinks to my table. All employees should be like this. Will be coming back because of great customer service and dedication.

This has been a big change they have a new manager think his name is Damien I forgot now but he's new manager from bury such a big difference cleaner tidy fridges are full and open on time and very professional and polite such a big difference from previous manager excellent work to the new manager and he has just told me this morning hes closing early in the week for staff training excellent as they need to be trained as the coffee is overloaded with water 👍great work

Shabby and dirty, the least we'll maintained Costa I've been to. Chairs don't appear to have been cleaned in a long time. Won't serve in regular cups even if you're drinking in, they give everyone disposable cups. Upstairs closed with no explanation even though downstairs full. Coffee is normal for Costa. I will avoid in the future.

I felt uncomfortable being there. The staff didn't smile or greet you, and when I tried to make conversation, they just stared blankly at me,

Prestwich Costa. One of the better Costas around this area. I try to go in each morning on the way to work. The coffee is excellent and not at all bitter. The barista who is there at 7am, is unfailingly cheerful and remembers my order. He also gives me recommendations on new food items that are in. 1.11.2023 This Costa used to be my favourite Costa, and everytime I went in I would give 5 stars across the board. Not anymore. Went in about 2pm today. No queue but every table had trays and dirty cups and plates on them. Had to clear a table before we could sit down. I had a cappuccino that was so bitter I had to add sugar, which I never do with coffee. My partner had a vanilla latte and said the bitterness was obvious even over the vanilla. The disabled toilet was quite frankly disgusting. It's such a shame that it's gone downhill like this. It's unlikely I'll be back

I like this Costa, it has improved since the last time I was there when they had hardly any food at lunchtime due to a delivery problem. I had a cheese and tomato toastie, it was the best I've had in a long time. And the coffee is great as always 💕

This used to be a go too coffee place but omg last couple weeks has been terrible staff never turned up to open on Sunday this happens a lot and the manager who turns up so bad tempered shouting customers can here him shout should of locked the door till we get ready and stomping around huffing and puffing terrible he needs to get staff that open on time plenty of people out there looking for. Work terrible manners

Awful Costa. Terrible customer service with three staff members just stood behind the counter with no acknowledgement.

Had a coffee place was busy staff were very slow tables were dirty and full of pots . Would expect more considering the prices they charge.

I will never visit this particular costa again. The chairs outside were full of bird droppings, the tables hadn't been cleared, inside wasn't much better. The staff were miserable and the whole place needed a good clean. I felt sorry for the staff. I have written a letter and sent pictures to head office, I'm still waiting for a response. If health and safety were to visit, I'm sure they would close it down for a thorough clean.

Took eat took while to assign the driver. Food was lukewarm at best but the coffee was hot. It’s Costa Prestwich - never quick when when in store!

The cafe was in a disgusting state, the tables were dirty. The floor was filthy. The staff were slow and couldn't really have cared.

Order was delivered wrong, I had two upset children who had to make do with pizza instead of the toasties they were looking forward to. And the youngest child ended up with a biscuit instead of the Bakewell tart when he was looking forward to his cake. I don’t usually order online at Costa, we usually use the drive through. And certainly won’t be ordering online from you again 👎👎

Slowest costa I have ever been in. Manager stood about doing nothing 1 girl running round making all drinks. So so slow.

I meet a friend every Sunday for coffee but recently the coffee has been awfull the young lad who served me made coffee with to much water they drown the coffee with water I asked him to make again because you have put to much water in and he said just top some out I left it there for him to do and he just tipped out and have me back this is not how you make your coffee I used to work at Costa in Manchester I know you don't drown in water it was disgusting just like drinking hot water this young lad needs to retrained and in customer servive

Ordered via deliveroo. They missed my bacon bap off the order and the extra shot of coffee I requested. Ordered a rolo muffin, got a blueberry muffin yuck. Just dreadful incompetence. 0 rating but had to grace them with one to complete all fields.

Really busy, coffee good. Felt sorry for guy making drinks. Till roll ran out and lady on till disappeared upstairs to get new roll and was gone quite a while, meaning everyone was waiting for their order.

I like to bring my laptop to work here. It can get busy and crowded.

We went for coffee yesterday and never again.Lots of litter on the floor,it looked grubby and a long wait to be served.l was over charged and despite me querying the amount was told it was correct.Only when the guy made the coffee did he say the amount was wrong.l did receive a refund for the extra money.lt is definitely not a place to go for a relaxing coffee.

Beware of food prepped here, witnessed one of the attendants on Xmas Eve making toasties while having VERY long & colorful fake nails. Very unhygienic for food prep as she was actually holding the toasties directly while she cut them!

The only reason I give it a 2 star is because I actually got a coffee. Ordered 2 drinks, first time they came iced, I understand it's hot outside but I ordered hot drinks. Next time they came mixed up, at that point I just got it and got out. Next time heading to Tesco Costa. 👌

The furniture is nice and the muffin was nice. The venue was smelly, grubby and the various staff didn't actually listen to the order or the fact that it had been (eventually) corrected. Probably won't return to this Costa.

Called in for a coffee with my partner at 5.20pm on Saturday, 40 mins before closing. The floor was littered with a few napkins, sugar packets and other bits of rubbish. When we ordered coffee we were asked if we also wanted cake, and I said 'there aren't any, (all the cakes had been taken off the shelves, ready for closing)...the waitress laughed and said yes I know. The coffee was ok enough, but the banging and clashing of the workers as they sorted out the washing up was quite a racket. We had to have our coffee in take away cups, even though we drank inside... I guess that was to save washing up later. Just not a great experience. They were sweeping up as we left, and one of them looked up and said a nice goodbye. I did wonder if the poor staff maybe didn't have time allocated to cleaning up after the shop closed, and they had to get it largely done during opening hours.

As much as I love Costa, this one is the far the worst I have been into. Not clean at all. And stuff was more interested in chatting with each other than serving customers who had to wait in a very long queue

A nice place to have a cappuccino and relax for a spell

Came in on a Sunday morning and it was busy here. 3 staff all working very hard and all were very polite and apologetic. but….. This Costa suffers as other outlets:- not enough staff, space in the shop and seating. Big queue’s out the door. I will not be returning here and will pick and choose my visits to Costa very carefully from now on.

Marking them down to 3* as in all my years living in Prestwich (11) never had a decent cappuccino here. Somehow no one there knows how to make one.

Unfortunately, we got only the coffee without the pastries. Can you please refund us for that? Thanks

Drinks & food were fine, barring the ham sandwich which had minimal ham inside. The cleanliness is a big downside to this store. Very dirty customer toilet & dust that looked like it had been there for months. Very smelly and the floors of the shop were covered in bits of food. There was also no soap in the dispenser to wash our hands. Could do with a deep clean everywhere, did not feel hygienic at all.

The batista was training staff as well as serving and it was very busy yet the service was efficient and pleasant with a lady carrying my drinks to the table to help me, very good experience

Ridiculous place one staff is rude, we order 2 slice of cake and drinks no spoon and tissue, they're not attentive more chatting.

I have to say I am a bit disappointed as no straws were provided with the drinks. I had also left a note to ask for cream on my coffee and that was omitted. Overall not a great experience. So probs not a next time at this branch.

We just had a latte and as usual in Costa they were spot on.

Used my coupon for a free frappé and the team were all lovely and very attentive to my multiple allergies. Chloe especially took her time to try to make my order work for me and was polite, efficient and the frappe was delicious!

Costa is as Costa does. The prestwich branch is comfortable with seating both down and upstairs. Staff are friendly (at least the ones I encountered on my last visit) Anyone who's been to Costa will know their products and what it's like. I only drink tea there and it's good as tea goes. Your overall experience will depend on who serves you. How you feel at the time and probably many other factors. From my personal experience it is as good a costa as a Costa can be. Make of that what you will. X

I visited here today and to say this is the worst Costa I’ve ever been to is an understatement. I will never go to another costa. We ordered 1 coffee frappe 1 strawberry mint ice tea and 2 strawberry lemonade. The staff seemed more engrossed in their conversation then making the drinks. Took around 20 minutes for the drinks to be ready even though there was no one else waiting. The coffee frape tasted just like whipped cream. The other 3 drinks were clearly the same batch even though one was meant to be iced tea. All three drinks were warm and tasted like warmed cordial.

The overall set up of the coffee shop is good and spacious. Nonetheless, I did experience several issues with this shop. 1) The waiting time can be extremely long. Staff do not seem attentive enough during busy times. 2) The music can be loud! This is irritating especially when working early in the morning.

Staff are very cold. It’s very convenient for me as I pass through this place when heading to work. The only reason I give it 1 star is because the staff are not friendly and they look like they are not happy serving customers. So I have decided to go Costa inside Tesco Prestwich. It gets busy but the staff there are good.

Arrived at 6.45 to be told they close at 7 so the hot food ovens were off. All I wanted was a coffee and a macaroni cheese which takes 3 minutes in their new ovens. Give this place a wide berth - dreadful customer skills.

Don't use this place in the morning, during the week, upstairs is full of non paying uncontrollable school children, i know personally of five professional people who have stopped using the facility. AVOID AT ALL COST!

I am amazed some people have given this place stars. I have had to select one as wouldn't let me post with zero stars. I have let things go in the past with regards to the Prestwich Costa, but after today's visit, I had to write the review. I have been in constant amazement in how bad this Costa is run and by the staff that work there- the amount of times my orders has been wrong, given wrong drinks/food, etc. The staff clearly can't be bothered and this comes across in the shop- wouldn't be surprised if they give me a Starbucks cup one day in this store.

Wouldn’t normally leave a bad review but I felt this place needed it as it’s the second bad visit in the last few weeks. Visited on Boxing Day with my family for a treat. After making our order and spending the best part of £30, I was asked by the barista if I have had a good day to which I answered yes thanks. There was a short pause which was then filled with the mumbling through a mask of “yeah me to if you want to know “. Then when he had put the coffees onto the tray he then says “there you are” and made me struggle to bring the tray through the small gap in the perspex, He then, again mumbling through his mask, said “yeah you’re welcome” in a sarcastic tone. I did say to him there was no need to be so rude at which point he realises his bad manners towards a customer had been rumbled and he had a quick personality change. If he didn’t want to work in the business then leave. He was so rude and the manager should get a grip with the staff. I don’t think I will be going here any time soon.

The staff in this Costa could not care less about their job! It’s like a school playground, no consideration for customers or how to behave in a workplace. The manager needs to get a grip of the staff and set some boundaries.
