Lovely place to come for something to eat and drink. After a walk round the woods and canal. Friendly and helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere. You can even bring your dog in with water and treats for your pets.

We had a great time in here last week. It was a really relaxed, good food and the staff were really friendly. Joshua was hilarious!

Asked for no mushrooms and got mushrooms and got the mild squits because they were touching the other food. Bad!!

Recently came to Barton Arms for a meal with my partner, mother in law and sister in law. Our meal was well presented and hot. The gammon steaks were delicious and the chicken skewer with grains very nice as was the lasagne with probably could have done with a little more pasta. We were servied by a lovely young man, Levi, who was very helpful and courteous. Will we come back, yes indeed and I would recommend to friends. Thank you

A fanatic little place for quick bite. Really enjoyed the food and great value for money. The atmosphere of the place was also exceptional. Really cozy vibes and really polite and attentive staff. Special shout out the the young man Josh who was nothing just kind an hospitable during my whole visit. Would defo recommend and will be in again soon.

We liked this place. It was comfortable and friendly and the food was honest and tasty. Josh was attentive and prompt, making us feel valued and certainly one of the locals. Worth a visit as a couple or family we'd say.

We came here for food which was really nice , and the atmosphere nice too . Lovely location, in a very pretty area of Salford . We were served by Josh , who was smart , professional and welcoming . Would deffo come back next time in the area .

What can I say about this place, I've not one bad experience in the service and with the food. Iv taken my friends in many time for a meal and they all say how nice the food is also the service. Every time I go in I get warm welcome from josh who ever so funny and polite,which you don't get that in many places. Josh goes out of his way to make sure we are happy with the food and drinks. Nothing to much trouble for him even if we changed our mind with the order. Need more staff like josh he certainly got good customer skills.

Stopped for drinks on a walk through Worsley, beautiful pub, decided to have some snacks so ordered the chicken nachos and dirty fries, best nachos we ever tasted and the gravy on the dirty fries was amazing, 5 stars, we will be back for a repeat order 👍😁😁

I visited here for dinner with my parents and partners parents. The place was very clean and wasn’t overly busy. The staff were friendly, service was quick and the food quality was excellent. I quite like eating out and find these days the quality and service has significantly nose dived at most places, but has remained consistently good at the Barton Arms. I would definitely one back again in the future.

We held the wake for my Mum’s funeral here and we were looked after so well, particularly by Melissa and Ben. Nothing was too much trouble and they worked so hard to ensure that our large party were well catered too. Mum has enjoyed several meals at the Barton Arms and she would’ve loved to see all of her friends and family gathered there. Thank you both. Laura

I took my mum out for a Mothers Day Sunday Dinner. We waited a long time for the food to arrive (which was understandable as it was busy so we didn’t mind) however, despite the long wait the roast beef that we were served was inedible. It was very fatty and tough. It was though we had been served the left over pieces of beef that were left at the end of the night after waiting over an hour for our food. This was not acceptable and all we ate from the roast beef dinners were the roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. We did not want to wait for further food to be cooked due to how late it was getting, so we sat and waited for our plates to be collected so that we could raise the issue. After sitting for 25 mins post finishing our meals and nobody bothering to come over and ask how our meals were (the restaurant had started to clear by this point) we noted staff stood around on their phones, not collecting any of the plates. Eventually, we decided to go to the bar to raise our concerns. We were refunded for the 2 affected meals but the staff did not seem suprised, apologetic or particularly bothered by my complaint. It seemed as though we were shrugged off and that this was a regular occurrence in the establishment. All in a very disappointing experience for what was supposed to be a nice Mother’s Day meal! This completely ruined the nice evening that I had planned, particularly as one of the meals affected was my Mothers order! Very disappointed and will not be returning. I have also attached photographs to show the state of the beef that we were served.

My friends and former colleagues ate here today and for the past two years we have met here regularly. The food was excellent as always and very good value with a good variety on the menu. The service was again excellent and attentive. One of my friends asked for the sea bass but without the set curry. The staff went above and beyond to give her an alternative. If I have anything negative to say it would be that the high chairs like bar stools with arms in the bar area were uncomfortable for anyone with a hint of arthritis. I was only sitting there temporarily while I waited for someone else to arrive. Our seats at the table for lunch were fine.

So I ate here last week we had nibbles & drinks great atmosphere & vibe & the team is lovely

Always greeted by a warm smile and a hello, no matter how busy the bar is! Food is great with some good offers on so check before ordering (Ember App is good!) Staff all helpful and alway deliver with a smile. Highly recommend ☺️

Absolutely amazing! Could not fault in any way. We came for a family members funeral and were looked after from the moment we walked in the door until we left. My dad arranged everything before hand and told me how helpful they were with that too. Thank you Ellie and team it was great. Also quick shout out to Cam who I found out was quite new but he couldn't do any more for us. A brilliant day all round under the circumstances.

Excellent service. Wonderful food. Great atmosphere. The staff were very attentive to our needs at the wake we organised. Highly recommend this establishment for a private booking or just to pop in for a meal as a family.

Appallingly poor service and long waiting times for food

Ten family members were booked in for Sat at 6pm. There was an extensive kids menu and plenty for the adults to choose from. Everyone loved their food, but my son thought his portion of ribs and mac and cheese was small, and when I looked, I agreed.(he ordered in pizza later on!). We had a fairly long wait for our food, but I suppose that's expected for 10. Staff very pleasant, a good,relaxed atmosphere and where we sat made us feel very comfortable with four children. I would definitely go again. Thanks guys for fitting us in at short notice.

I've been back to the Barton arms twice since my first review and I must say I have been a little annoyed the food has not been up to scratch but the staff have been extremely good,each time I have been I have had four of my family with me and they have all said the same Dad we don't want to come here again the food has gone down why , I moved to Worsley recently and when I first came here I gave the top review for the Barton arms

Everything about our visit was good. Booked a table online. I was very impressed with the notifications of the booking and one to confirm that we still wanted the reservation. We booked in on arriving and shown to our table. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Good choice of food on the menu. We would recommend The Barton Arms and we will be back.

4 of us in the party the food was awful we all had different so couldn't have been that so didn't even bother with a desert the girl/woman who served us was so miserable my friend said the meal said it should have had the skin on the fries she said they have but they were just skinny little fries never in the memory of man did they have skin on they are usually chunky wedges poor rating all round for us shame really as we have had some nice meals in there before don't know if it's changed hands or what but definitely won't be rushing to go back again!

Myself and partner visited this pub this afternoon. We noticed close to our table two other couples both with a dog sat on the chairs and eating from the table. We found this behaviour disgusting and definitely unhighgenic. Dogs are normally allowed in this pub but normally confined to the floor. We did report this to a member of staff but no action appeared to be taken. Perhaps environmental heath will take a more proactive view of this behaviour when they receive a report.

Food was ok,had the Sunday roasts,for the price the portion was pretty small,not enough gravy and it was Luke warm Staff seemed ok.Expensive for the quality and portions

Extremely friendly excellent food

Food was disappointing. Half a roast chicken was more of a chicken leg hardly any chips that were not cooked through.The chicken and mushroom pie was on the menu with creamy mash. Arrived with chips the veg was cold and also almost raw. The only positive thing about our visit were the staff were nice and friendly.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, best pub in Worsley! Never a bad pint and a warm fire to sit next to.

A lot of people were there so it was busy but we arrived at 3pm and didn’t get our food until around 4:30pm, very understaffed but a great restaurant.

Excellent as usual only one fault the Hunters Chicken which I ordered was hard and burnt on the edges. Apart from that spot on .

The only issue was my son was told he couldn't change from fries to chips with his meal as chips weren't available,yet my husband and daughter were served with chips rather than fries.

It was such a beautiful evening - fires lit and the pub was busy but not rowdy. Food came extremely quickly, I had mulled wine and a Gammon roast, my friend had red wine and lasagne. Staff were so lovely and friendly as usual - a perfect evening thank you!

The Coors was flat and had a smell, maybe the lines not been cleaned. For starters the mushrooms were drenched in oil, I had the posh fish and chips and again the chips were very oily. The fish wasn't great. The kids pizza I tasted and was like a pizza that had been put in microwave, they didn't even finish Thier chocolate brownie and that is very rear. This is the 2nd time we have had a bad experience. Gave this place benefit of the doubt precious. Can't fault the staff, ambience and the warmth of the place. But food was atrocious.

If you like waiting for ages for over cooked food served by a rude manager then this is the place for you! We pre-booked a table for 10 for a Christmas family get-together. The bar staff were nice and the table was ready. We ordered at the bar and were told there was a 30 minute wait for food which was absolutely fine and completely understandable so close to Christmas. When the food eventually came (far longers than 30 mins), the first two meals had dry, very overcooked meat and the Yorkshire pudding and stuffing and bacons were missing. I returned mine immediately as it was inedible. The manager Ellie, who was serving us, did apologise and a 'replacement' came soon after. This had the same piece of dry overcooked meat which had been turned over and a few extra bits of meat added that were slightly less dry and overcooked. The missing items were also brought. The chicken on the kids was griddled/grilled (which is odd for a Sunday dinner) and again over cooked. The general consensus of the rest of the meals (burgers and mix grills) was all meat was over cooked. The deserts were all nice but were brought before the table had been cleared. Manager Ellie served us throughout and became increasingly rude and passive aggressive as we asked for these errors to be rectified. At one point she slammed some of our dirty plates down onto the table behind us causing all the knives and forks to crash off. I understand it's a busy time as it's just before Christmas but today's experience was extremely disappointing. We'd heard good things about the food here, we live locally and we had family visiting from further away so we picked The Barton Arms for our get together. We all agreed we would not visit again. We've been to other Ember Inns and on busy occasions such as Mother's Day and Easter weekend etc. and the food quality and service was excellent so we'll stick to those places in future. The photo shows how much of my duo Sunday lunch I was unable to eat because, even with gravy, it was all too dry.

Great warm welcome on arrival into the pub. The atmosphere was great, and great service was provided by Ben and the two ladies on duty. Food was piping hot and tasty, dessert was as well too!

Came here for our daughter’s birthday. The food took so long to be served for 4 people, it was cold and not very appetising. Definitely would not return, very disappointing.

We visited yesterday (16th), as a party of 13. Excellent all day, friendly staff, willing to go the extra mile, we were all made to feel welcome. The food was lovely, and they did a great job getting everyone's meals out at the same time ❤️

Cosy place, good location. I got glass for water that was cracked along and chipped on the top. Food standard didn’t meet the prices, tasted better on the menu than in reality, We had festive Sunday roast, however don’t expect crispy roasted potatoes or fresh roasted carrots. We won’t be coming to eat there again.

Festive menu tonight and I can safely say it was a night to remember. A memorable night with my friends with great food and staff. The quality is always out of this world on the days we come here. Thank you for such a lovely evening.
