The food is ok - coffee was good but all quite pricy. The worst thing however was the manager of this establishment decided to use the public cafe area as his personal office space and was talking loudly while on a laptop 'Zoom' call for the whole time we were in there. Forgive me but I really don't want to know about your staffs shift-rotas and logistical supply issues. Go out the back and don't bother your (over) paying customers.

We visited Saturday lunchtime, a belated birthday treat for my Dad. Due to mobility problems, Dad now uses a wheelchair. The young guy, in the cafe today, sorry, I didn't get his name, couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful, particularly regarding seating, etc. The service was superb. 15/10 customer service! We had chunky, wholemeal toasties with homemade coleslaw, hot drinks and then delicious Cornish vanilla ice cream. We were there a while and didn't feel rushed at all. Thank you for making our experience all the more enjoyable!

Visited on a very hot & sunny and therefore very busy day at the end of July. This is a lovely location and the cafe has a captive audience as there is nothing else in the area. Whilst waiting in long queues (hot day so to be expected) I witness what appeared to be the manager snapping at the girls saying "were just a small cafe were not feeding the Titanic" after putting through several orders to the kitchen. He then also told another girl who said the freezer wasnt working and the ice cream was sloppy to just get on with it an scoop from the bottom. That was enough to put us off buying an ice cream. The man who appeared to be the manger / supervisor was just rude to his staff (who were doing their best) and rude to customers.

My partner has convinced me to get tripadvisor to write a review. Came here on the 9th August 2024 with my Partner, Children and some friends. Well what can I say...... our experience was so lovely. All the staff so friendly. There was 3 lovely girls working behind the counter, all so polite and nice to us, there was also a man there who wasn't in a uniform so maybe he is a manager who was equally nice to all, i kept seeing another young girl popping in and out of the kitchen with food so maybe the cook. She was going to all customers and asking if everything was ok which is nice to see. The food we had was so tasty, we had burgers, toasties and a few kids meals. We came back a while later and got ice cream and cake, again so tasty the Brownie and Flapjack were so lovely. We will definitely be back and will recommend to other family and friends 5 stars to all staff on this warm busy day

When this first opened prior to COVID it had a fairly extensive menu and served great food. The staff were very good. Unfortunately when it reopened after the pandemic everything had changed. It's now very unwelcoming as if they'd rather you weren't there, and the food is quite poor, especially for the price. This could be a fantastic place if the franchise was given to someone with a little passion and imagination and the desire to offer a great service.

The place its self is lovely to visit however our cafe experience was not great. The staff working there are all very young (which in itself is fine) however the older man who seemed to be the manager was very rude and spoke to the young girls terribly. It was a hot day and the cafe was busy and the girls were very clearly feeling pressured and flustered. This man made several patronising and mean comments to the staff in front of guests. The girl who served us got an order wrong twice and her attitude was poor, however I do think this is due to feeling pressured from the older man breathing down her neck. She did come out and apologise afterwards. The ‘manager’ kept telling us to take the food for free because the young girl was getting bombarded. All we were trying to work out was what we had paid for and what still needed to be paid and at no point did our attitude towards the staff warrant such an argumentative and rude response. The food itself wasn’t great and very expensive for what it was. The fridge where the drinks and sandwiches were kept clearly wasn’t working and the ice cream was also melting in the freezer to which the manager told one of the young girls ‘dig it from the bottom and stop making a fuss’, not a great ethic when they’re charging £2.50 for a melted ice lolly. Overall not a good experience on what was a lovely day.

On the last day of our holiday we visited the moors centre. We were greeted with friendly smiles and a warm welcoming. We ordered toasties and burgers, all so tasty and delicious, the salad on the side of the toasties was different from what you normally get in a cafe - it was a nice change and so tasty. Just before we left we got cakes a they were also delicious. 5 starts to all the staff involved on this hot busy day

Me and the wife called in for a breakfast on a rainy day we where greated by two lovely hostesses who where very polite and patient with us. We ordered the full English witch was perfect the sausage was to die for and mushrooms where cooked to perfection a lovely runny yoke egg to. Our drink of choice was a hot chocolate the young barista who made this delicious drink of perfection clearly has skills, drinking this beverage gave me flash backs to my youth on winter days sitting at my grans sipping her hot chocolate who had until that point made my favourite hot chocolate. We then partook in a delicious home made scones these where pure perfection and made what was an already fantastic experience turn into a supper experience. So service 10/10 food 10/10 drink 11/10 environment 10/10 not only would I recommend I will be actively making plans to go to Damby more often for this experience.

Three drinks presented on a dirty tray and one in a dirty glass mug. The girl serving said the tray was not dirty, in spite of the crumbs present, and that she'd wiped the glass mug already. The male staff member didn't seem to understand that my request for one side order of hot milk and one for cold milk required them to be in separate containers, not a single jug of luke warm milk!

Lovely seating area outside on a warm sunny day. Unfortunately the staff didn’t seem as though they wanted to be there. I was sat outside and the member of staff who brought my tea cake out, didn’t bring it with a knife nor did he mention where the cutlery might be or offer to get it. There was no interaction at all.

Bread bun for the sausage sandwich was big but very poor quality. The ham in the toastie was a slab of tinned stuff: too thick to cut or bite; it had to be left. There was a lovely cafe in the Moors Centre a few years ago, why did the Park Authority change it ?

Really poor cafe, we popped over for a quick drink to treat ourselves, nothing in stock apart from a very flat lemonade that had been stood out all day - and over £10 for 2 soft drinks! Very rude staff that couldn't care less. So many better cafes you could go to with lovely local produce. This is an embarrassing representation of the local area - such a shame!!

After many visits to this delightful cafe I thought it was time I left a review. Really enjoy my weekly visits for a coffee and break in the middle of my dog walk. I have never seen such blatant racism in my life. This is 2024. People of colour and like minded people walking into this Jim Crow, antiquated backwards establish please be aware. To put a note not to offend is outrageous. We should be all tolerate of each others differences. Obviously a person who's not well versed and travelled. How can society move on when we have people who think that it's reasonable to offend people who are just enjoying their vacation. White privileges allows one to laugh, turn a blind eye or to offer a rationale for their inherent racism. Being White I can only apologise and say that the majority of educated White people just want to live in peace and unity. Should be ashamed. Schools visits! How do teachers explain gollywogs in todays society as being acceptable.
