Paprika in Epsom and Ewell

Unfortunately closed today as Bank Holiday. Lovely food :)

Went in party of six, it was a Friday and pretty quiet. The food was average but expensive but the service shockingly bad, orders all mucked up and staff didn’t seem to care less, more concerned with clearing down the table. I spoke to the manager who stated he didn’t care about reviews he didn’t even read them.

Food was not great! Not worth £60, but definitely filled a hole.

We’ve ordered from Paprika for the last 6 years and every time we are treated politely and with great customer service! Every dish we’ve ordered has been simply delicious- their naans are gorgeous. We love butter chicken, tikka masala, their samosas, to name but a few!!!

We had a variety of dishes including lamb pasanda, butter chicken and a variety of vegetarian dishes. and nan breads. All three of us enjoyed it and it was excellent value. A no frills restaurant for sure but warm on a cold night, large portions and very tasty. What's not to like

Absolutely disgusting! Serving young adults intoxicated for money and leaving Ewell Village covered in vomit and urination for to make a bit more money out of them. Spoke to the restaurant and they denied responsibility as it was “off the premises”. Such a shame because years ago they were one of my favourite curry houses. It’s gone completely down hill!

Error made on order, the person I spoke to just wanted to argue, had no interest in helping resolve the issue. Tandoori chicken was dry.

Food was excellent but no alcohol spoilt it

This restaurant was recommended by friends. The food was excellent and hot on arrival. Portion was enough for me to have two meals from. Very glad I listened to my friends!

Mixed feeling as to the experience of dining in the restaurant. BYO very helpful, for sure. However, whilst some of the food was tasty, other elements of the meal failed to impress. Also, when we arrived and looked at the menu, the price of the set meal for two was ten pounds higher than what we had seen on the website (£29 on the website … £39 in reality). Felt ultimately that the meal was disappointing. The starter of chicken pakora wasn’t tasty. It tasted of vegetable primarily, and I wondered if the chef had accidentally given us vegetable pakora instead of chicken option as neither of us could taste any chicken flavour at all, more of a mashed lentil consistency. My husbands madras was very tasty and the lamb in it was very tender! Good. I wish I had ordered one. My lamb passanda had a very tasty, rich and creamy sauce, but the lamb was extremely dry, tough and very over cooked. Overall the sauce tasted good but the meat spoilt the dish. I ended up leaving most of it, and asked to take it home instead of appearing rude and leaving it untouched as I thought I’d be able to at least use the sauce, discarding the lamb. The naan and rice were tasty, and a good sized portion which was enough to share between two. The service was a bit sour, the waiter seemed to be generally unhappy so we felt a bit awkward and wanted to just eat, pay and go. At the end of the meal we paid, let the tip and went home feeling a bit disappointed. To sum up, food quality was very inconsistent, misleading pricing info on website for dine in, and overall poor service. Expensive for the quality of what we ordered. Sadly, I don’t think we will go again.

Best Indian in the area. I did however order a vindaloo and what I got definitely wasn't that, I feel sorry for whoever got my order by mistake. Still delicious though. Such quality and value for money x

If you want an Indian meal that tastes as if it was made with a stock cube - this place is for you. My meal wasn't even remotely authentic.!

Food was good, tasty stuff. Would order again. Rice and breads particularly nice. We were a little disappointed the mixed kebab starter didn't come with prawns as advertised. Some free Bombay potatoes were included which was nice, but we'd already ordered a potato dish so would have rather had the prawns and no freebie. Probably just a mistake and will try again.

Ordered a plain naan, and got a keema naan. Korma and butter chicken both lacked flavour and was really disappointing. Sadly won’t be ordering from here again.

Too much sugar and salt; nun bread was not fresh and chewy

Paprika had become our 'go to' takeaway when our usual one closed. It has been excellent but last night our experience has affected our opionion. Whilst we recognise it was a Saturday night we didnt expect to wait for 1.5 hours to receive our order. When I rang to check where it was the person who answered asked me my address 7 times before passing the phone to someone else which was very frustrating. That in itself would not change our opinion but we were also disappointed with some of the food. The mint sauce was watery and so was the raita which had no taste. The chicken tikka garlic was a bit dry and so were the bombay potatoes. We assume this is because they were so busy so we will try another takeaway and avoid Paprika on a Saturday.

This is by far the best Indian we have ever ordered from. The food was all hot and absolutely delicious - we had the poppadums, tikka starter, korma and Bombay potatoes. Everything was so good, not one complaint. Highly recommend! 5*

Ordered a delivery. Very quick service but my partner and i were disappointed with the food. My chicken saag was just ok. Salty and the chicken was dry. The bombay potatoes looked and tasted like tinned ones but the worst dish was the vegetable curry which was like slop. Tinned carrots inside and 1 potatoe the rest was like a bland soup.naan bread was ok. Would not order from here again.

Food arrived late and was missing one of the main dishes. They did send out a replacement fairly quickly though. Potty as the food tasted great just let down a bit by delivery.

Food arrived late- luke warm and only received partial order. When called restaurant I got the usual “it’s with the driver and will be with you in 2 minutes” only for it not to arrive.

We went there for dinner. When we saw their menu, being vegetarian we got confused as the menu was full of non-vegetarian options; though they had some vegetarian options as well. The owner came and told us that they can made any other vegetarian dishes, as per our request. That was very sweet of him. We had ordered our dinner and every dish was delicious. Staff was warm and helpful.

Good food but not great. There was less meat than in many takeaways. They gave us some random extras (veg and Bombay potatoes), which was a nice touch. Would use again.

Best Indian, go here time and time again not just to eat in to get takeaways aswell, living in the lodge west street they know us well the service is excellent, and went in again to eat tonight which was a perfect meal, and not knowing but there is now “bring your own alcohol policy“ if you wish to drink, and it wasn’t just us that went and bought alcohol loads of people turned up to eat who knew of the policy and brought there own, was a great atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to eat you won’t be disappointed.

I ordered lamb egg and potato dish, but it was only lamb and egg,and a lot of gravy not much lamb, the food was hot so didn't need to heat it up.Rice was nice and the chicken tikka was nice , naan bread tasted rubbery ,had better from other places

Awesome ...I do usually go in as I enjoy the outstanding table service ..but just back from long haul flight and so a night in is required the food was of the highest standard in the 12 odd years that we have visited or ordered we have never had a bad meal ....thank you for your perfect jet lag solution

Thought we would give this restaurant a try we were pleasantly surprised very delicious food the lamb chops were to die for so tender and tasty ,staff very attentive as well, we will be back .

Nice flavoured curry, tough / chewy chicken

First time ordering and really enjoyed. Thrilled it arrived at 19:35pm when it said due at 20:10pm as we were starving 😄 We received some Bombay Aloo which I hadn’t ordered so not sure if that was intended or not but lovely nonetheless! Will become a regular I’m sure. Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The only reason for dropping 3 stars on service was that we received a mushroom rice rather than mushroom bhaji ordered, the food itself was amazing, one of the best curries I've had, will order again!!

This was our first visit to this establishment but our friends were regulars. We were greeted warmly by the staff and the service was impeccable, the menu was extensive and delicious with quite a few dishes that were new to us. All in all we had a wonderful meal and a most enjoyable evening.

Very disappointed with the quality of food tonight. The vegetable curry was straight from a bag of frozen veg and clearly leftover Brussels sprouts which were well over cooked and do not belong in a curry. The raita had quite a solid lump in the middle of it so I am dubious about how fresh it was. The cans of coke were not chilled which is disappointing when you want to drink them with your meal. There was a bag of salad that did not look particularly appetising. The majority of this food has sadly been thrown out as it just wasn’t up to standard. Delivery was a good 30 mins early with no warning that it was going to be that early and then a random text sent when it was originally due to arrive.
