Haweli Of Epsom in Epsom and Ewell

Meals took almost 90 minutes to be delivered. Once they got here the food was just above tepid. As if that wasn't bad enough they had forgotten to pack one of the main courses which was disappointing. To be fair they delivered the missing main meal in a reasonable timescale.

Wrong main sent. What was sent was bland and tasteless, including the side. Food was lukewarm. The only items with flavour were the garlic naan and can of Diet Coke. A very poor effort sadly.

Attended a birthday party and was treated to delicious food. The curry and Biryani were exceptionally tasty, but what stood out for me was the Dhall – its consistency was just perfect. 👌 Definitely recommend.

We had catering from Haweli for my son’s 1st birthday party and the food was delicious - everyone enjoyed it! The customer service was brilliant, from discussing our requirements, right up to delivery and set up. The food was piping hot and they set it all up in buffet trays for our guests. So so pleased with how it all came together! Thank you so much Haweli! Will definitely be using your catering services for future events!

I visited this place based on the amazing reviews I read here. The person who took my order was incredibly friendly. However, the food didn't live up to the stellar reviews. I ordered butter chicken and lamb curry. The butter chicken was overly sweet and didn't resemble traditional butter chicken at all. The lamb curry was mediocre, and the meat was tough rather than tender.

I have eaten far too many currys of late, from all different spots surrounding this location. Outstanding quality, fantastic flavour and very reasonably priced. I will certainly be ordering from here again, regularly! many thanks.

It took a while to deliver so wasn't hot but the whole meal was delicious once heated up.

Very fast delivery - but food was VERY disappointing, bland, luke-warm and underwhelming. The complimentary Bombay Aloo tasted of nothing in particular and the Paneer Tikka Masala and Chicken Malaya bizarrely tasted very similar and very sickly. Actually the Chicken Malaya was more accurately a Pineapple Malaya, as it predominately contained large chunks of pineapple rather than chicken. Only the Chicken Tikka starter was good - in fact delicious, so it was rapidly downhill after that. Won't use them again.

Ordered a biryani - was delicious. Looked in the bag and pretty sure I was given some extra potato curry (maybe leftover from the day?) given to me at no extra cost, which was a nice thing to do. Noticed they had a lot of interesting seafood dishes on the menu (like salmon tikka masala) so I will definitely be trying this place again.

Our now family favourite. Excellent food quality and flavour, and no deli belly. Great food!

I appreciate it was a Saturday night but the food took two hours to come. When I called I asked if it would still be hot and was told it had just come from the kitchen so ‘would absolutely be’. Food arrived and it was cold, onion bhajis and samosas were tough/rubbery like they’d been recooked and left. We’re usually loyal customers but will probably look for somewhere else

We have been getting deliveries from Haweli for years. It’s always amazing!! The food is delicious. They are always so polite when I call and go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect!!

I liked it but my partner found it too salty

Usually my favourite, order all the time of if I get an Indian, last 2 times have been very poor, very hard and dry chicken and the Bombay aloos were solid couldn’t even cut them I’m shocked that even gets sent out and charged for, will look else where from now on I think

2 portions onion bhai’s ordered only one portion of sauce received. posted an online complaint but heard nothing back. Bhai’s very dry without adequate sauce.

This is our regular takeaway place for curries and the food is absolutely delicious each time. We were worried as we were told it recently came under new management but the food is still (if not more!) yummy as ever. Our friends who have had family events catered by these guys are always full of praise and impressed by their professionalism. Highly recommend!

Food arrived on time. All three different dishes tasted the same. All their curries taste the same. There is no uniqueness about any particular dish. Not the best Indian restaurant to dine out.

By far the best Indian takeaway away in the area, fantastic tasting food. You can really taste all the spices used. If you want a bit of burn in your meal the naga dish is very good.

Awful avoid at all cost .we ordered last night after being a customer for a couple of years .the food turned up with the chicken raw the sauce was disgusting both me and my husband where sick .I just spoke to the manager who basically called me I lier and then offered me a free set meal for 2 .like I would want to eat from them again. I asked for my money back as most the food is still hear he told me no and hung the phone up .if you don't want to be sick please do not order from hear not even worth the one star ..

Beautiful food, amazing flavours, generous portions and just generally very impressed. First time we've tried Haweli and we will be ordering from them again. Also lots of choice for us two vegans....makes a change. Thankyou for a thoroughly lovely meal!!

They make the tastiest chicken tikka masala ever. If they sold the sauce in jars I would buy it for all my friends and family. Lovely Bombay potatoes and their mint sauce is great too. The delivery drivers are always happy and friendly, this is my favourite takeaway.

Absoultly disgusting packaging was all split everywhere prawns tasted off popdom were stale and when I rang up they said it was my fault cos I dropped the bag realy why would I dropped it then he disgusting not even worth 1 star

Quick delivery, very friendly service, massive portions, the only issue was chicken sashlik was too dry, it was cooked before & reheated shame.

Sent email in with complaint before turning to a public review. Suffice to say, no reply. Food generally good, but no point if it turns up 1.5 hours before it’s due.

I have never seen a bright red Tika Masala, it was overpowered by sugar and the only vegetable I could make out in the Veggie Tika was a Brussel sprout!! I’m all for trying out new places and supporting local businesses but unfortunately this was not worth the money spent, extremely disappointing.

Very shocked at the telephone manner of this restaurant. I called to make an order and was asked to hold the line whilst he answered the other phone. 10 minutes later I am still on the line listening him answer the other phone and take other people orders. I then (very politely) said I had been waiting to order to which he replied "we are busy Just order". I then questioned a dish they had on the menu his rude reply was "in future decide what you want before calling up. At this point I would have put the phone down but my family wanted a curry. I asked how long it would take to deliver "100 minutes" was the reply. When I said "don't worry I will leave it" he said 40 minutes Madam 2 hours later I am ringing back to see where it is.... Although the food is good and value for money this is not a takeaway service I will be using again. I do not expect to be spoken to in such a way especially as I am a paying customer. If they are busy then they should hire more staff and speak to customers with a little respect!!!!!!!

Ordered via Just Eat. Took about an hour to be delivered which is fair for a Friday night but was completely tasteless. No flavour whatsoever.

Takeaway worst ever. Rogan too hot and spicy, definitely over reduced sauce with too much chili. I could do better, what a waste of money.

I placed my order through Just Eat at 1240 this afternoon. The restaurant accepted my order when they opened at 1740. I requested 2000 delivery. They put the time back to 2025. It is now 2206 and I am still without any food. I appreciate that it is New Year's Eve, but you shouldn't have accepted my order if you knew you couldn't fulfill it. Then asking me to pay 50% to cancel my order? Used to order from the Haweli of Epsom as our go to curry. NEVER AGAIN.

Advertise 45-60 minutes for delivery and took over 2 hours. They should update their expected delivery time if they are busier than usual. I have never had to wait over 2 hours for any food delivery in my life! Also after my delivery arrived no bombay potatoes which are normally included in their orders and only one yogurt sauce where normally 2. After waiting 2.5 hours rather than an hour as expected, you would hope the order was as normally ordered!!!!

So disappointed after order for home delivery. Food did not taste good and definitely not made fresh. Had to throw it all away. Very unhappy! 1st 1 star I have given.

We have used Haweli of Epsom on and off over the years but it the last twelve months it has become our go to restaurant, not least because of how slow many places are to deliver. Haweli is good value, delivers quickly and has some fantastic new takes on some traditional dishes - one example is a very hot and spicy Marchwangan Karma. Give it a try but be warned -if they say a dish is hot, it is HOT. Enjoy

This was the worst takeaway I’ve had so far. Food was over cooked and look horrible the moment i opened it. They even gave me a wrong dish which didn’t help. Give this one a miss.
