Working all around Kent you get to know good chippies. Ive been coming back here for years, always had great food.

Delicious fish and chips and super helpful staff - just a little pricey will always come to papas as our go to -

I was looking for a good quality fish and chips shop about 7 years ago My Turkish restaurant owner friend said that Greek owner shop is the best in the area since its My favourite fish and chips shop.

Visited as we come out lockdown shop was not working to 2 metre rules and most customers didn’t have masks when they should be wearing them Tried food few times always dreadful Ordered cod and chips was disgusting no way was it cod just some horrible tasting white fish chips always greasy Alway drive to mc coys at Wainscott or hoo Alway fresh not greasy and taste fantastic

today purchased some fish and chips , the fish was bad and chips not cooked long enough, when took back was told fish was fresh and there was nothing wrong with them, i have on a few occassions had to return fish to here and had fairly good customer service but this time was treated like i was scum , my wife who had by this time was getting angry stood outside and was telling the shop fish was rank , she was told to 'F**k Off ' by the owner very bad food and bad customer service avoid like the plague

Our social club, in sheltered housing, had a fish & chip quiz evening. We ordered 26 boxed portions of fish & chips, mostly OAP size. They were collected and were ready on time. We all enjoyed the meal, very nice. And we thought good value for money.

Been visiting this fish bar for some years now and it has always been good but lately the portions have become smaller. Today we as a family of five made a phone order to pick up, on arrival you still have to wait for your order to be cooked the same as if you had walked in and ordered. Our order was 4x medium cod 1x large sausage 1xlarge chips 1x pound chips and 2x gerkins which we only got one of when we got home. This little lot came to the grand total of £31 !!!!!!!!!!!! The portions are tiny the medium cold looked more like a battered goldfish we was all left hungry after so is a good bye from us bye bye,bye bye

High quality fish and chips. Prompt and friendly service. It's a take-away, so there is no indoor seating.

Back again to this chippy for some quality Fish and Chips. They seem to get tastier on each visit. Thoroughly recommend this place to come to when you want the real taste of quality Fish and Chips. Might see you in there one evening. Keep up the quality food Papa's.

Went into papas to buy fish and chips for my mum and some of her friends in a dementia care home as it was her birthday Beautifully cooked loads of it and reasonably priced Highly recommend

It never ceases to amaze me to see so many people inside & outside on Friday night waiting for their freshly cooked food. Staff are brilliant & quick and fish and chips are the best around! I definately recommend!

Used to love this chippy and was delighted when it re-opened. At first it was OK but now it’s really not great. You’re paying a premium price for a local chippy but we’re now fed up with getting over cooked, tough, dried out fish in dark brown batter. The last piece I had (large cod) was so chewy that it went in the bin. Such a shame...lovely staff and very clean premises but I can’t be paying that much for chewy fish. Hope they get it sorted.

Just bought a kids portion of fish and chips for my elderly Mother. She really enjoyed it plenty for her to eat. Fish was beautifully cooked and chips were excellent.

Disappointing. The chips are over cooked and mostly awful, the fish was mean in portions considering the price. The only time the chips are cooked properly is when the owner is there. It is very hit and miss, some times OK, other times it is so bad you don’t return for ages, the owner should supervise more. Visited with relatives/friends but won’t again until it improves. Potatoes with black marks should be discarded, not cooked and re-cooked. The owner needs to be more hands on.

Great service, long queue as popular but well staffed. Lovely food. Cod very good, pies the week spot, be prepared to wait but well worth it.

I’m very disappointed, I ordered medium cod and medium fish, it’s very pricy £1.50 more anywhere else. I paid £8:45. I thought it’s worth the price but when I get to eat the fish it’s very small and it’s not chunky, over cooked and chips is oily, it supposed to be the best fish and chips in Rochester, I often go buy here plus I place big order for all my friends from time to time. I will not recommend this fish and chips to anybody.. not worth what you paying for. I’m sure there’s nice fish and chips like the Atlantic fish and chips, will go there. Good bye...

We have been frequenting this shop for many years with no problem as the quality of their fish and chips was very good. However, it appears that since the shop reopened after an accident the quality has diminished and the price has risen. Went there tonight and paid £14.80 for two large cod and small chips. Got home and found that the fish was was like a paste with soggy batter. Please sort it and get back to where you used to be.

So finally got round to visiting this much talked about and highly reviewed Fish and Chip shop in my local vicinity. Family feeding time so we ordered the Cod, Cod Roe, Burgers, Chips. The food was hot, delicious, and great quality. The staff were friendly and worked hard and politely serving the customers in front of us while we waited. Please do not hesitate in visiting this fish and chip eatery. Thank you Papa's Super Fish Takeaway, we will be back soon.

This is still a good fish and chip shop, the best one around. However the quality of the food and the staff attitude has definately declined since the refurbishment. Service is slower and the cod is not of the highest quality.

We have eaten from Pupas for many years as we practically live on the doorstep. Never disappointed, warm welcome, average prices, clean and modern.

Have used this takeaway for many years, but may be stopping now. Since the refit the food is not as good. A lot of the chips have to be thrown away as the quality is poor. Pies are lukewarm and the fish batter is not great. Last Friday i think they may have been training staff. I know they have to learn, but on a busy Friday night it needed someone knowledgable to step in. It was a complete shambles with people being overcharged and incorrect orders being prepared. The place is still popular as customers are queuing out the door. Having used it and been so impressed in the past though the last 4-5 visits for me have been disappointing.

Oap cod and chips best around chips drained of fat so delicious chips and wife likes battered mushrooms would recommend this chippie

Very expensive, fish is very small and chips was ok . Don’t think I would go back . But saying that it was very busy , so a lot of people like it .

Fête de famille. menu pour tous: fish ans chips pour tous. Normal, c'est la spécialité et la réputation de la maison. Endroit propre, service genre passionné et familiale. Parking disponible. Le poissons fut excellent, cuit à point. les frites faites maison, d'une pomme de terre locale dont je n'ai, hélas pas retenu le nom. Je veux y retourner!

Chips were lovely and staff are quite nice but ordered a halloumi burger.....they asked what I wanted in it, I asked for salad and onion and what i got was two over cooked pieces of halloumi some small pieces of brown wet lettuce and one piece of onion!! Very very poor

Papas is our local chippie and never had any problems. The staff are friendly and the portions are generous and always hot and freshly cooked. Recommend.

This is our favourite place for fish and chips . Always freshly cooked , lovely chips and fish . Lovely clean place , staff always very nice and helpful , very popular , sometimes on Friday tea time you que outside the door .

We've been visiting this fish & chop shop on and off for several years, it's one of the best. The ingredients are of the highest quality, and the chips are always cooked to perfection. Thoroughly recommended!

My local and great fish and chips - portions not as big as some and probably a bit more expensive but very consistent - parking can be an issue.

I found this F&C; Shop about 6 years ago and have never been anywhere else since. Perfectly cooked F&C...every; single time! Long may you reign Papa!

Mi hijo que vive cerca nos avisó sobre este fish and chips. Nunca hemos comido un montón de F&Cs; porque nunca podría encontrar alguno que realmente disfrutamos. Papas aunque es algo t pescado y patatas fritas son excelentes y muy buena. Siempre están muy ocupados (una buena señal) pero que no consigue una variación rápida. Lo recomiendo completamente.

So I saw a fish in the window perfectly done and smiling at me. I wanted the same so Natalie ensured that it was done in the same way. What's a guy got to do to get a good fish? Go to Papas in Rochester.

My son who lives nearby tipped us off about this fish and chip shop. We have never eaten a lot of F&Cs because we could not find any we really enjoyed. Papas though is something else - the fish and chips are excellent and consistently good. Always very busy (a Good sign) but they do manage a fast turnaround Thoroughly recommend.

I live nearby, and so feel lucky that this is my nearest fish and chip takeaway, The fish is always fresh and cooked perfectly, I have sometimes had burger but cannot recommend this as it is bland, would like to see kebab on the menu.

We have got fish and chips from here from years. Best Fish and Chip shop in the area. Good size portions of fish and chips. Value for money. Staff friendly and efficient.

I live close by a fish and chip shop, but prefer to drive my car to this one. The staff are friendly, the prices are reasonable and the fish and chips are fantastic.

Papas is our local fish and chip shop so we only have to stroll down the road. The fish and chips are excellent (a small cod is enough for each of us and a large portion of chips comfortably feeds three). Being partial to saveloys, these are also delicious. We often buy a senior citizens special fish and chips for our elderly neighbour - this is great value. There is generally a queue (which would indicate popularity) but service is quick, efficient and cheerful.

Always get the best chips in Medway from here! Is a bit far to go from me and car parking can be a pain but so worth it! Really nice chips

I live about two hundred yards away from a fish and chip shop, yet every time I want fish and chips, I get my car out and travel to Papa's. Well worth it - lovely fish and chips. So clean and friendly.

We live on the isle of grain, which is a good 20 minute + drive from our home.I am totally prepared to travel, as I believe that a good business deserves our ongoing support.The fish is just how it used to taste, the chips are a pleasure to eat..Good old fashioned food at great prices..Thank you,,,, see you Monday!!!!Please don't tell the other half that I eat so much fish n chips!!!Great food, great staff..Thank you for continued great food and service

The food is great, the child are defiantly worth writing home about. The staff are always friendly with a smile on there faces, great food and at a reasonable price too.

Bought cod and chips only to get home and found I had battered sausage and cremated chips.... But there's a twist ... The sausage turned out to be the cod.... Over cook and a pathetic size.... I had about 2 mouthfuls of fish and tried to eat the chips but gave up... Back to Davis estate fish bar.....

Great service from Lorraine on the cash desk. Good chips now they have changed the potatoes. Stay firm. Like the offer of coffee or tea while we waited. As a local, it deserves the title of London and South East best fish and chips!

My family know all about this restaurant so i was warned that you get more than value for money.I was presented wth the largest fillet of Plaice I have ever seen with top quality chips.Thge batter on the fish was excellent as batter can be a let down at other restaurants The welcome and the service were of the highest quality.You can have a glass of wine or lager --the lager from Cyprus was very popular and very good tooThe prices may seen a bit high but the quality makes up for that You don't have to have just fish there are many other optionsI know we will be back as my Mother-inLaw has offered to pay next time !!

Me and my partner had small cod and chips from here for £9.20 which i thought was steep ,we then waited 15-20 mins for the food. The fish was borderline cooked and very rubbery. Could go as far as saying it wasn't cod. The chips were not great, tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in a while, so to sum it up we had the smallest most awful over priced piece of fish ever with average chips, which you have to wait ages for. THE WORST CHIP SHOP I'VE EVER BEEN TO

Visited Kent for a 2 week holl and came across Papas by accident. What a good accident that was!!!! Was so impressed visited 3 times and 1 to take away after a busy day visiting London. Would recommend. Very good and nice staff.

we always get our fish & chips from here & it is always very good apart from tonight, they must have been having an off night. My fish was burnt & dry and there was a big black hair in my sons chips yuk ! will think twice next time.

Hands down without a doubt the loveliest fish and chips in Medway. We had 2 chippys within walking distance from our old house but still took the car to go here,and even now we have moved over 20 minutes away, we would still make the effort to drive to Papas!

Fabulous fish and chips, always busy. Prices reasonable. Would definately recommed for take away or sitting in.

Have used this fish and chip shop for several years. They will take telephone orders. Friendly helpful staff, excellent fish and chips. Best to get there early on a Friday, or be prepared for the queue, food all freshly prepared.
