What a place, a real little jem. A magnet to those who want a real pub. Great ales and the food even better. I would travel 100 miles to go here. Then you have the views on the water. Such a real golden nugget.

Amazing pub! The renovations have been done so nicely. best bear garden in Cornwall! The staff are friendly and helpful! I was slightly disappointed with the fish pie this time round though. Its my go too on the menu but this time the pie only had one type of white fish, when it usually has prawns in it too. The garlic bread wasn't garlic butter anymore, it was a bright lime green garlic paste thing that was so strong it was spicy and i couldnt finish it! and the salad was just dry leaves, no dressing or seasoning. A bit of a shame.

First outing since Tom & John took over. Had a decent spread of dishes - Ploughman’s, Burger & Club sandwiches. Food was exceptional, good portions, tasted fantastic. Good selection of ales/beers. The staff were engaging and owners visible. They’ve taken something which was good and are making it better. Thank you 👍

One of two of my favourite "go to" pubs in the area if friends or family are visiting. Food is good. Bar snacks excellent. Location is FAB. We often get a bowl of mussels to share. Don't forget to check out the model ship near the gents and the history relating to the Mutiny on the Bounty. Recommended. Have been coming here since 1989.

We were thrilled to get in to this restaurant for lunch. It was great to eat outside on the floating jetty but it was a tad cold. The food was great and the service(particularly considering the distances travelled) was efficient and friendly. Inside the pub is cosy and warm and has been renovated beautifully with period pieces and lovely fabrics.

My partner and I came to the Pandora for our anniversary. We had a wonderful evening, and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The garlic lemon scallops were delicious. My partner had the Sri Lankan chilli mussels with coconut curry. For mains, we had both had the steak burger which was one of the best I've ever tasted. The meat was Cooked perfectly. Overall we had a fabulous evening and will definitely be coming back again soon.

We’ve been to Pandora on a few occasions previously for food/drinks. On this occasion the service was efficient. The portion size for our food however was significantly smaller and lower quality than previous visits which was a bit of a shame - considering the cost has increased. We had the baked Camembert & chips in November, so were able to directly compare it on this most recent visit. The pub is still a great place to have a peaceful pint in the sun though. Hoping to try again in a few months time - to see if any quality issues have worked themselves out.

Disappointing We have been regular customers of the Pandora for many years and took our visitors for our first experience since the refurbishment, which was a complete embarrassment. So disorganised , mediocre food. Felt sorry for the waitress who was not given the correct information. They have been reopened for a month, they should have a better grip on things by now. When we left a bunch of young guys in chefs outfits in the car park throwing things at each other didn’t give a good impression

Very disappointed! I understand that the Pandora reopened a month ago with new staff, following refurbishment and we liked the decor. We were shown upstairs to a round table with great views of the river. However, the restaurant was cold. There was only one other table occupied all evening. Menu was OK but, incredibly no wine list available. (An A4 sheet or blackboard would have been an easy fix.) The waitress suggested some wines and we chose a New Zealand Sauvignon blanc, not knowing the price, (£35 for a screw top seemed excessive). Chips were good but otherwise the food was very average. Incredibly they had run out of vanilla ice cream, which they had replaced with Caramel, which they had also then run out of. If I had known I could have supplied them with ice cream which I had bought earlier that day from local shops! On leaving the restaurant we passed, who we presume, was the manager. No "good evening, we hope you enjoyed your meal". No acknowledgement of us at all. The waitress did her best against the odds but we won't be rushing back.

My partner and I recently had a delightful experience at The Pandora Inn in Falmouth, and I wanted to specifically commend them on their exceptional handling of my partner's coeliac disease and gluten-free dietary requirements. From the moment we enquired about gluten-free options, the staff were knowledgeable, attentive, and reassuring. They didn't just offer a cursory "yes, we have gluten-free options," but instead took the time to understand the severity of coeliac disease and the importance of avoiding cross-contamination.

Popped into to the Pandora for an end of the Christmas period drink at 5.40pm on Sunday 5th January, the pub was averagely busy. Was met by a stoney faced unfriendly gentleman working behind the bar who advised that the pub was now closed (and would be for the next 2 months). No niceties, no friendliness just blunt and to the point. After having spent 20 mins travelling to the Pandora (not lovely roads), I feel that this experience should be shared as a kindly reminder that it is NOT ok to treat customers with such little respect when it suits, and be smiley and polite when you want our custom. I would politely point out that neither your job nor the Pandora would exist without the support of customers like ourselves. It is also worthy of note that the Pandora website confirmed the pub to be open til 11.00 on that night and also made no mention of the pending closure. May I also suggest that as an additional mark of respect for the customer’s who keep you in business that you update your website to reflect your current opening hours. That easy!!!

After visiting a year ago we eagerly returned. Unfortunately they did not have us booked in despite our email and their phone call 2 weeks ago to confirm. To be fair they responded positively. The wait for service was long .During our wait a large group of 15 people arrived to be seated next to us. They stood up chatting loudly with their backs withing inches of us .No consideration to us eating when our meal came. They were stood waiting for rest of party to arrive. At no time were they asked to sit down in restaurant. We could not hold a conversation our selves as they were so loud. Meal was about 50 mins until served and drinks forgotten. Total bill was 170 pounds ,food was spoilt by ambience in restaurant with noise and bumping into us. When paying for meal I said food was OK but experience was spoilt by noise and no control in restaurant. I was greeted by "Thats out of our control".Not an apology. The 4 of us won't return.

Service ok, lady at bar rude and grumpy. Food was ok but portion sizes ridiculous. So much waste as we couldn't eat it all so you did yourselves out of us ordering pudding. Vegan burger patties nice, but for £19 some cheese, burger relish and maybe a slice of tomato or gherkin would have been nice. Plates not cleared. A couple of things I'd have preferred were different but I look forward to going back again one day. We had dinner for 4, the food was all very good. I didn't like ordering at the bar and paying first as when you want to order more you're paying all the time. We were also sat next to a very loud table, very loud but I don't believe this would be a regular thing. This is one of the most idyllic locations in Cornwall. The sea is on its doorstep, there’s seating on a pontoon that juts into the bay and there’s a small beach to paddle up onto if you kayak or row. Because of all those things, the car parking is extremely stressful, it’s hard getting a table and the food, after a long queue, takes a while to turn up. It’s also worth the wait. And the staff, having to deal with a daily invasion, are excellent.
