Visiting the area and wanted to eat out Monday night in winter very happy to find the Pandora Inn. Ancient building with fans in at in history right on the waters edge. Friendly efficient team and piping hot delicious fish n chips. Very quiet night but still felt welcome and no rush to leave. Will return in the summer when we can sit outside on the jetty.

Service ok, lady at bar rude and grumpy. Food was ok but portion sizes ridiculous. So much waste as we couldn't eat it all so you did yourselves out of us ordering pudding. Vegan burger patties nice, but for £19 some cheese, burger relish and maybe a slice of tomato or gherkin would have been nice. Plates not cleared. If you are hungry and want a huge plate of carbs this is your place

We decided to pop out for a relaxed drink and so glad we came here. A fabulous relaxed atmosphere in such a cosy romantic old style pub with eclectic seating flag floors and dark wood. The drinks were great, service was great and the food coming out looked delicious. Estuary views are a delight and during the day setting is also available on the pontoon/walk way reaching out into the estuary.

This is one of the most idyllic locations in Cornwall. The sea is on its doorstep, there’s seating on a pontoon that juts into the bay and there’s a small beach to paddle up onto if you kayak or row. Because of all those things, the car parking is extremely stressful, it’s hard getting a table and the food, after a long queue, takes a while to turn up. It’s also worth the wait. And the staff, having to deal with a daily invasion, are excellent.

Ordered on the app as advertised on tables, on one occasion we waited 30 minutes for just one drink, went to the bar to see where it was and the staff were chatting behind the bar, asked where my drink was and they had passed me a wine sat behind the bar. On a different occasion I again ordered a wine, payment came out, waited half an hour and went to the bar to see that again they were chatting behind the bar and hadn’t even looked to see if anything was ordered via online. All staff look like they don’t want to be there, one woman in particular who shot deadly looks at me the whole time I was there and proceeded to laugh at me when I said about the drink not turning up to the table. Looked like she could possibly be a supervisor or manager, wearing white and black stripped shirt. Really made me feel uncomfortable. Used to really like it here.

We lunched here as it’s a pleasant spot to have lunch and amuse the grandchildren by crabbing off the pier when the weather is nice. It’s not cheap; my daughter paid for lunch, £170 for food, not drinks, so we were a bit put out when they charged us an extra £1 for swopping the accompaniment to the fish pie from salad and garlic bread for new potatoes. Would have seemed to me like a equal deal. Anyway the food was OK, but cold. Must have spent a bit of time waiting on the counter before being served. It wasn’t that busy so no excuse. I would probably grade it a three star. If you want a decent pub meal go the Lemon Arms in Mylor.

I would have given a rating of 5, had it not been for a mistake on the bill, we were charged for a bottle of wine, when we only had one glass. That said they rectified it, over the phone, as we had returned home, even sending me a photo of the refund. Despite this I would highly recommend this place, if you are in the Falmouth area.

Shocking service!!!! Went for lunch yesterday, on arrival it was nice to see it was busy and space available to sit outside. After taking our seat I went inside to order drinks and get a menu. The bar was empty, except the bar lady was finishing off serving one person. Bear in mind the I was the only person at the bar, and the bar area when empty, I waited politely for a few minutes for her to finish serving, with the menu in hand. As she finished serving the gentleman, two customers came in from outside and stood between me and the bar lady. When she finished, she then asked the two guys. “What she could get them”…I was gob smacked. I was the only person at the bar for a few minutes, there was no way she could not have noticed me? Or if she had, she wasn’t doing her job properly. I was disappointed the guys didn’t say anything either to be honest, suppose it’s the way the world is today. I left promptly after telling them how rude I thought that was!!!Such a shame as I’m local!

We ordered lunch at the bar and got drinks and because it was a lovely day sat outside on the platform. We ordered a sandwich between us after asking how big they were with a side of chips to share. I can honestly say I have not had such a good, tasty sandwich for years, anywhere and the chips were as I remembered from my childhood, real, chunky and so tasty. We were greeted by friendly staff and a charming atmosphere on the ground floor, making for a cozy evening. However, the upper floor's decor felt somewhat spartan, detracting slightly from the overall vibe. The food ranged from good to just okay, with a minor hiccup when an item listed on the concise menu was unavailable and substituted without prior notice, leading to a returned order.Despite these issues, my overall experience at Pub Pandora was positive, thanks to the hospitable staff. Future attention to the menu's accuracy could enhance the dining experience. For those seeking a place with character and warm service, Pub Pandora is worth a visit.

Booked a table in the restaurant as the pub was advertised as dog friendly however we were called up on the day of our booking to say there are no dogs allowed in the restaurant. We asked to reserve a table in the bar however we were told that they don’t reserve tables in the bar. So we decided not to bring our dog. Upon looking around we were told that you can have any table that isn’t reserved in the bar and we saw a couple reserved signs on tables. This was quite confusing as we were told multiple times we couldn’t reserve a table in the bar. The place itself is very quaint with low ceilings and candle lights - it felt very cosy. We grabbed a couple of menus and a drink, the special boards was out with more courses to look at. We all decided on a Sunday lunch, however we were told oh we aren’t doing that anymore - no apologises that the board had been left up. So back to the table we choose again and the board subsequently taken down. The menu was very limited and didn’t follow a theme. We chose the meals and then order. Food came out fairly quick. It picked up with people arriving and a lot of families started to arrive with children. It did get quite loud with children crying and shouting - obviously nothing that the pub could do about that but it did create a quite stressful atmosphere as opposed to the previous relaxing calming environments. The food and wine was ok a bit in the expensive side for the quality. I don’t think we will be returning, nothing went really bad but just not what we were expecting. It would be great to get clarification on the reservation situation in the bar…

No where near what it was! Visited here on Easter Monday and have visited here so many times before. Always used to be a “go to” place for food but now it just seems to be relying on its “celebrity status” and not actually worried about the quality of the food or the service. Ordered the hot roast beef sandwich with chips off the specials at £15. Cutlery was brought the table but only one set for two of us!! Our food arrived with crisps not the chips that we had paid for, the beef was so tough it could be chewed, it couldn’t even be pulled apart with your fingers, the ciabatta was less than fresh, and the salad less than inventive!! ! It was really disappointing and when I mentioned it to staff, they just said “oh” and walked off!! Yes they were busy, but no more than any other decent pub in Cornwall…. Sadly as a local pub we wont be rushing back which is sad as we were very regular visitors up until 8/9 months ago when we had another poor meal, but today we thought we would give it another try!! However nothing has changed ….. a reputation takes a long time to build and a very short time to lose… even in Cornwall.

We went to The Princess Pavilion to watch Ride, although the hall is cosy for a concert the acoustics were excellent, there are good toilets and a well appointed bar and ample free parking at the site. We ate out at Wetherspoons in Falmouth which was clean friendly served a good curry and a good pint. Falmouth is an old haunt which myself and my kids frequented to visit my dad who lived there for many years. The town and harbour are still a fond favourite of mine. 👌🏻

Stopped for food but told short staffed and would have to wait an hour and half for food, had a drink and got food elsewhere. Would try again.
