Pablo Eggsgobao in Newcastle upon Tyne

Stumbled upon this spot after looking for places that do breakfast near Whitley Bay and what a treat it was. Small warning that this place is a 'hole-in-the-wall' establishment, so you make your order at the window and wait outside (was fairly busy when I arrived but it was only a 10minute wait). I wasn't sure what to expect from a breakfast bao bun but it was absolutely delicious, everything cooked to perfection and could easily have had another. Staff taking the orders were also great and friendly too!

My partner and I are frequent customers at Pablos, and I still stand by the fact that they provide excellent breakfast. This is more to do with the click and collect service. We have previously ordered online to collect, and showed up early to collect our order. We had no problems waiting for our order (which was made past collection time), but the communication from front of house was passive aggressive to say the least. He informed us that “if we are going to be early we might as well just order at the store”. With this in mind ordering today, we waited for a confirmation text message as it’s a Saturday and didn’t want to put more pressure on the shop. We never received a confirmation text message, at 1:50 we rang the store, apparently our order had been ready to collect. After calling the store, we received a text message (time stamped at 2:07) that our order was ready to collect. Considering the store supposedly closes at 2:00, this is quite confusing. It’s irritating as a customer that the click and collect service has no clear instructions on what’s deemed appropriate protocol for collecting your order.

Pre ordered the Christmas box. What a fantastic start to Christmas Day. The kit for 4 people came with great presentation and exceptionally detailed instructions to prepare very good representations of the classic breakfast boa. Not as good as straight from the window but 98% there but that could be pre cooking skills.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for ages and I’m so glad I finally got the chance to. I had the vegan bao and my partner had the veggie one and they have got to be up there with some of the best bao buns I have ever had. All of the flavours complimented each other and there was just the right amount of each.

Initial thoughts, is this Bao hun going to go with breakfast items, am I gonna manage to get my mouth round this - answer - yes to both. Really tasty, small menu - simple concept but done really well. The quality of the items and the flavours all came together, what a combo. I recommend 👍🏼

Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. An unusual take on a breakfast sandwich with it being in a bao bun, but it worked! Every item in the bun was fresh and delicious. We were in Newcastle for 2 days, and I wish we’d gone on day one so that we could have had it every day - I’m still thinking about it!

Sensational brunch! Best breakfast/Lunch sandwich I’ve ever eaten, so fresh and tasty. Very reasonable price and delicious when paired with a cappuccino. Can’t wait to visit again!

Honestly the best breakfast, the vegetarian bao is phenomenal and the has browns are maybe the best thing I have ever tasted. Always delivered quickly

I order from Pabs all the time and I’ve come to the conclusion that this is an actual drug front because I’m addicted to their hash browns. The breakfast baos are bloody brilliant but those hash browns man. As a fat man trying to lose weight it’s hard not to give in to the temptation of those crack coated croquettes. I’m only giving you 5 out of 7 though cuz ya hot coffee is dink and barely saved by oat milk.

I cannot imagine a morning when I wouldn’t fancy a Pablo’s! Everything is always perfect. From the crispness of the hash brown to the mild spice of the scriacha. If you’ve never been. Go immediately.

Absolutely amazing. So delicious our child cried when we told her we were going back tomorrow. The bao bun was tasty but the hash browns were the nicest I've ever had.

Ahhh it’s a classic social media hotspot - it’s got to be a delightful breakfast bao from here. I finally bit the bullet on a sunny Saturday morning to try and I can say that it’s worth every like. It’s a delightful little shop on the esplanade - you order via the window and wait outside until your baos / bevs are ready. I took it as a good sign as there were a LOT of people waiting outside - but we still didn’t wait long at all. The breakfast baos are delicious - great quality ingredients and a filling portion - worth every penny! We also had lovely piping hot coffee to warm us up on a blustery beach. The only slight downside might be that there’s only 4 items on the menu so I may get bored quite quickly - but most definitely worth a visit if you’re in WB!

Great coffee and really nice people, will be back for some eggs, the menu looks awesome. A hidden gem, worth trying it.

Really enjoyed our breakfast Baos, and the service was super quick and helpful. We even got some free stickers with our brekky! Would definitely return here, 10/10 for pablo!

Really yummy! Friendly service and deffo try again! Local to my area and the coffee was amazing too. Oat milk latte on the menu which is good to see.

Useful takeaway for eggs based steamed buns breakfast. Very reasonably priced with quick service. Recommended
