All good. Good fresh fish always. Good chips always.

Once again, this place has hit the mark. It's been a while since our last visit, and the quality of his fish is second to none. 5 star every day. I will highly recommend this brilliant chippy.

Best fish and chips on the Isle of Wight. Generous portions and well cooked battered fish. Staff are extreemly friendly, Ozzie does the best plate of food. This gem of a chippy is well hidden in Newport and a locals secret. Bring your appetite with you.

Friendly staff and absolute value for money you cant go wrong, tastes lovely each and every time....can be a little wait but thats because its well used by everyone!!

Literally the best fish and chips on the island, it's a cash only place. The portions are a really size, definitely try them.

Delicious cod and the large portion is enormous. As are the small portion of chips which could probably feed 5 people. Definitely rate this chip shop however, giving 4 stars because the chip portion was excessive and wasteful.

Very nice fish and chips. Perfectly cooked to order fresh haddock in a nice crisp batter and nice crisp chips, neither were greasy. Really good value at £10.50 for haddock, small chips and mushy peas (cash only). Only complaint is that the portion size for the small chips was really too large - I like a big portion but this was just ridiculous how many chips there were, the small could have easily fed a whole family. Maybe they could offer a half portion which would still be larger than most places serve and would lead to less going to waste.

Went to grab some dinner from Ozze’s last night to take down to gurnard and watch the sunset with the kids, first time here and I couldn’t believe just how friendly all the staff was! It was really busy but I didn’t have to wait any lover than 15 minutes for my food to be served fresh and piping hot. The lady serving couldn’t have been more thoughtful and having asked for forks and napkins she had wrapped them all nicely for us and also included a lollipop for each of the kids. When I opened our large cod it was like nothing I had ever seen it was HUGE! Honestly big enough to feed 2-3 easily, we will definitely be getting our fish and chips from here in the future without a doubt, really friendly and bloody good food!

Fast service, perfect chips! Just had haddock and chips and jumbo battered sausage and chips x3. Waited about 5 mins maybe then walked to the park across the road to the park. The small chips is massive, I've got a big appetite but what I couldn't eat was like a large chips anywhere else. The haddock was lovely though the batter was missing of a small area, nice crispy crunch, lovely. Gravy was a little thin for me but fine for everyone else. Well worth a try, highly recommend, we will be back. Can't remember exactly but £36-38 for five people, bargain

Finally found it! Since moving to the island in 2020 I've been looking for the best fish and chips, and by far, this is the one. My medium cod (which was enough for 2 😅) was both meaty and moist wrapped in a delicious crispy batter. We also ordered our Nan a OAP plaice and chips which I reckon would have fed 4 OAPs 😂 It seems they are known for their large portions so I highly recommend to not over order (unless you want a chip buttie every day for the following week).

Good food sadly poor service, yet again items forgot from the order not untill i got home to find this lovely surprise. So yet again another return trip to get the items that should of been put in and CHECKED..... they are to busy chucking the orders out and not CHECKING the order. The fact you can't pay on card to also adds to the frustration. Please sort these issues out....

Just ate here for the first time and all i can say is...WOW The fish and chips are the best ive ever had, the batter was light and crispy, chips were amazing and the portions were exceptional....its a 10 out of 10 from us. We will definitely be using this establishment in the near future...i urge anyone who hasnt to give this plaice a go :):):):)

Found this fish and chip shop a year ago and every visit to the Isle of Wight involves a visit here. I would say it's the best fish & chips on the isle of Wight - but I would be lying! It's the best fish & chips in the UK. The staff are friendly, the place is absolutely spotless. The portion size is worth the cost and the fish and chips cant be beaten. Well done Ozze!

Wow- amazing food and portions! I asked for large cod and chips twice; the lovely lady serving said we’d be eating for days if we ordered 2 large chips for the two of us- she wasn’t wrong!! We had 2 large cod (both enormous and lovely) and 1 large chips and couldn’t finish. So glad we went by the reviews here. Heartily recommend! It is cash only, but there is an ATM right next door.

Definitely worth a visit to Pan for some of Ozze's Plaice 😁 Easy Parking too (a big bonus & a rarity on the Island). Best fish and chips on the island without a doubt! Amazing value for money! We are a family of 7 (2 adults, 4 kid and a baby) 2 large chips with sausages for the kids and a burger each for the adults easily leaves us with a third of the chips left over! The service is fantastic, staff are always lovely and welcoming. We come from Ryde just for their chips and service! If I could give them a billion stars I would!

Ozze's plaice was a surprise find. The cod was fresh and the batter and chips fried to crispy perfection. The portions are very generous, the medium sized cod & chips would have easily fed 3-4 people. We'll be back
