Visited on a Sunday evening. Good value for money as it's Buy One Get One Free on a Sunday, so got two pints for just over a fiver. Came with some friends who are students so they got the £5 triple spirit and mixer whcih they loved. Great beer garden especially with the weather being so nice. Good music too.

A very good spot for night outs, discounted drinks and dancing. 50% off on the bar on Friday plus they have good quick bites. I liked the nachos & the Ozzie burger. Nice selection of cocktails and spirits at the bar. The music is pretty good for dancing!! Had loads of fun

Surprisingly cheap drinks !! Been here a couple of times w m8s, on weekends they do 50% discounts & buy one get one offers. The food selections are prtty good especially the chicken wings and nachos, they are delicious! 10/10 would recommend.

Went in here for a drink and to watch the football prices were reasonable. However didn’t watch much football the bar turns itself to a disco bar tables get cleared and teenagers start pouring in around 21:00 for the evening. Great bar

Visited the bar during a trip to the Christmas markets. It’s a nice place and decided to order food there too. Bar staff were helpful and friendly. After waiting over 40 minutes , half the party’s food came out cold so was sent back. I went to speak to staff and came across the manager (Matt) to enquire how long the other tables order would be, that we were still waiting , food was coming out cold so waiting again after sending it back. How much longer would the food be? I was so shocked at his terrible attitude. He was so rude, arrogant and argumentative. He was asked a simple question and turned it into a big issue. Debating about exact minutes / times of the food orders, ( saying we’d not waited 40 minutes it’s only 38 minutes!!) , he insinuated the food sent back wasn’t even cold, told me food would be with us whenever it’s ready!! He embarrassed me in front of queues of customers. Extremely poor customer service from the manager, who should be leading his staff by good example. There’s clearly an issue with the service of food , he was immediately on the defensive , there are no reasonable excuses for poor service. His hospitality skills are questionable, terrible attitude and perhaps needs to realise the customer keeps the business running. Nice little bar, poor management.

Im completely shocked how me and my friend were treated in oz bar . We ordered 2 zombie cocktails at £10.95 for 2 bur when i paid they charged me £21.90 when my friend noticed she told me to check my bank and they had the guy tried to say we ordered a long island and a zombie . Be careful it was only because my friend was standing at an angle they seen how much they were charging me as thet never showed me the screen . I did like it in there but i wont be going back . After a 5 min arguement with the manager i got a refund .

TL:DR - we booked in advance and ended up paying more for worse seats than those who just turned up and paid on the door. Atmosphere turned ugly, then violent and was poorly managed. Booked and paid in advance online to watch Champions League Final (£11.50 per person including a free drink). Arrived just before doors were due to open. Doors were already open and bouncers were letting people in without tickets. When the person dealing with the tickets arrived he gave us a mild telling off for getting there 'too early'. We were given a voucher for a "free shot" but informed we couldn't have a shot, only a pint of beer or cider. Getting in many of the best seats were already taken by people with no tickets. Eventually someone came round telling the gatecrashers to buy tickets. Some did. Some didn't. Those that did got to buy £5 tickets without a drink, but as our advanced tickets included a drink that cost LESS THAN £5 we paid more for booking in advance (never mind the booking fee). Having paid over the odds to get in early to watch Liverpool vs Real Madrid I was surprised to see every screen showing highlights of the Championship playoffs. After AN HOUR I asked a staff member if they could start showing the match we'd all paid to see (well, some of us). They changed it over but no sound. After another half hour, we finally could hear and see the match. The long wait for the match to begin was only puctuated by waitresses agressively trying to upsell shots of Jaegermeister. As the match progressed it was clear that the vast majority of people in the bar were not fans of either team (mostly Chelsea and Arsenal fans by the songs) and were there just to bait the few that genuinely wanted to see the watch. Predictably tempers boiled over and a fight broke out. Bouncers came upstairs to see what was happening but didn't throw either of the people out, though one was bleeding profusely. This was without a doubt the worst night I have ever spent in a pub and I was in Henry Afrika's in Stockton on Tees when a riot broke out and the entire place flooded.

Very poor service Asked for a £3.95 cocktail but got charged £10.95 due to the fact I didn’t show her my student ID before I ordered. I had no idea that’s how it works / she didn’t explain so therefore charged me triple the amount. My friends also had the same issue. Cocktails were non drinkable Rude staff

Spent and afternoon and evening in here when visiting my son at Uni Good cheap booze and lots of screens to watch the football. We ended up staying all evening and the music was also excellent Well worth a visit and the bar staff I thought we excellent

Although not really my type of bar I always tend to drift into here whenever I have a break in Nottingham. It's a bit of a music bar ,typical decor and furnishings to attract the younger crowd ,neon lighting features, a cool looking serving bar, its an ok bar . We got beers at the bar ,served iced cold and sparkling, we just kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular bar. Beer was ok, a light, hoppy and unpretentious lager style beer bursting with taste, on a hot night totally refreshing, I must say couldn't really fault anything about our visit here ,we enjoyed our beers here and although we only stayed for the one each before moving on to The Roebuck Pub next door we had a great time. Oz Bar is easily found along St James Street, well worth a visit if you're in the area.

On arrival we was told to wait in the line if we had made a pre paid booking. Which we did so, but 30 minutes later we was still stood in a queue without being told why. We was left to stand in torrential downpours of rain and after getting soaked, we decided that was out of order, so politely walked to the front and asked the bar staff what the hold up is. Which all we got back was very aggressive door Staff saying you need to wait in line and drop the attitude or you are not coming up. For £27.50 this is a disgusting way to treat your customers! When finally inside we asked the management if it was possible to have a towel to dry ourselves off to which all he did was laugh and walk off. Also asked if we could get any money back or a complimentary drink which was also laughed at. The food came And the chicken wings were shocking!! Avoid this bar at all costs

Visited Oz Bar for the England game, had paid £27.50 a ticket. Arrived at 7pm which was when we were allowed to enter, over 60 people with bookings left standing outside for 30 minutes in the absolute pouring thunderstorm rain with no covers, no explanation of the delay. When questioned as to why there was delay, the door staff said “clearing tables” they were extremely rude and aggressive towards us, they did not make any efforts to speed the process up, no one knew what they were doing. One customer was at the front trying to find their email confirmation and seemed to be holding the whole queue up for quite some time, when asked if they could ask them to step to one side whilst they found the confirmation so the line could filter in, they became defensive and rude once again. The door staff threatened to not let us in when asked if we were able to have some sort of discount/complimentary drink seeing as we had missed 30 minutes from our slot, we were all now soaking wet and will have to sit in an air conditioned bar for 3 hours completely soaked. They did not like being questioned as they had clearly not been able to professionally and promptly sort out the situation. Disgusting service from the door staff. We will never step foot in this place ever again.

Honesty the worst place in nottingham. I would categorically recommend you go elsewhere to spend your money. The staff are scammers. Don't pay attention to their tempting deals , they are run by scammers who place their orders before u pay then charge u more once drank. please i categorically reccomend you drink elsewhere, horrible management with obviously no experience in hospitality

Couples trip to Oz bar. The bouncer was incredibly rude. Made us feel like drunken criminals when we came for an afternoon drink on a sunny day. Incredibly disappointed. Will not be visiting again. Llegué aquí con la esposa el lunes para tomar una copa, ya que era un 50% de comida, pero incluso la bebida era barata. 2 dobles con mezclador 6. 40 que pensé que no estaba mal y una pinta de Fosters 1. 95, que es más barato que Wetherspoons. Regresamos más tarde y probamos la comida que no estaba mal por el precio. Definitivamente vale la pena visitarlo un lunes seguro.

Nadine and Tasha are great bar people which is part of the reason i keep coming back the food is amazing and the cost is even better, i am always greeted with a smile and they take customer service to another level

Visited here with friends for some food and drinks. Manager served us (Adrian) and had a face like a slapped arse from the word go. First of all there is a £5 minimum card spend which is rediculous considering the price of food and drink in the week (usually below £5 with the 50% off offer). Food took 45 minutes to arrive by which point we were all passing out from hunger, and one of the meals didn’t arrive for a further half hour which resulted in a near death experience for our poor friend who was chomping at the bit for some grub after a stressful university exam. DO NOT GO HERE. Unless you want poor service, awful food and a headache from the awful music they play (Taylor Swift??).

Adrian el gerente fue terriblemente grosero, claramente no quería estar allí y no se preocupaba por nuestra costumbre. . . Pedimos comida alrededor de las 7:30, el gerente nos dijo que la cocina había cerrado, pero en realidad no. Otro miembro del personal nos dijo que todavía estaba abierto. Luego hubo una orden que se perdió, lo que llevó otros 30 minutos, que en total fueron una hora y 10 minutos de espera de comida para una persona. Looking for somewhere to have a gin and maybe watch footie results came across OZ Bar. Was about 5 ish on Saturday. About 3/4 full ground floor hut upstairs empty apart from a few other couples..so game of pool or 2! Decided to get a booth downstairs and ordered food. Great service we think the manager served our food was so nice a polite, girls behind bar really chatty and friendly. Would recommend the sharers 3 for 2 and more than enough to share between 2 people especially if you have the nachos! We didn’t know this ha ha and the burger was awesome, so tender and seasoned brilliantly in fact one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. All in all a fab surprise we stayed longer than intended and made a great end to our day !! We will be back !

Awful management awful venue. The whole street needs a revamp.. Not to mention the power hungry idiot who asked me to leave whilst I was ordering my drink at the bar whilst on a works drinks do. And wasn’t willing to specify.. I would not recommend anyone to waste their time or money in this venue nor the street.

Dropped into this bar on a Friday night as we were pub and bar hopping around this part of town ,the bar looked busy but not packed,we idled up to the bar and tried to get the barmans attention ,he seemed more interested on the conversation he was having with a barmaid ,eventually after an eternity waiting to get served we were eventually poured a cider each ,cider was served iced cold and sparkling, we got a table were we just chilled out and took in the bar we were in .

As regular customers of Oz Bar i am disappointed to have to leave a negative review. A particular member of staff made us feel very unwelcome as soon as we went to order drinks. Cursing about how she wanted to go home, she rushed us and other tables out. Her rude attitude and behaviour didn’t go unnoticed by all our group. To top the evening off, when 2 of us went to the toilet she said “wish them girls would hurry the f*ck up i want to go home”, heard by our boyfriends. This is unacceptable behaviour by a member of staff therefore we shall not be returning.

Genuinely the worst costumer service I’ve ever had the displeasure of coming across. I came in on Thursday the 14th of February at around 10pm. To say that the brown haired girl made us feel unwelcome would be a substantial understatement. When last orders were called she told us directly to ‘drink up I want to go home’ and continued to curse out loud complaining about us still being there until we and two other tables of people finished there drinks. I’ve never felt the need to write a negative review about anywhere but this was genuinely shocking and I will not be returning to OZ bar anytime soon and I discourage anyone from visiting OZ Bar until the staff learn common decency.

Absolutely terrible service on Valentine’s Day. We came in 2 couples at about 10PM and were served drinks by a brown haired woman. She could barely be bothered to poor 2 pints and 2 gin and lemonades, giving a stunning amount of attitude in the process. I felt like she was paying us to be there not the other way around. She clearly wanted to close up and made us very aware of it. Her words were ‘can you drink up I want to go home’ and after 2 of us went to the loo before leaving she loudly exclaimed ‘I wish those girls would hurry the f*** up’ this was at 11:15. Appalled at her behaviour and will not be returning.

Came here about 1:30 for lunch and the bar was empty. Went to the bar to order and didn't catch my table number, could see my table from the bar and pointed to it, but the brunette waitress refused to take my order without a table number. The blonde waitress told her my table number, yet she still refused to take an order until I physically walked to the table and checked the number myself.

Great service by staff, unfortunately my visit was spoilt (and cut short) by "Egotistical maniac Matt"..upon being unable to attract Matt's attention (he was the only person behind the bar at 80 minutes on the clock at Anfield), as he was engrossed in the match on the giant screen, I gently tapped the taps with the base of my glass (a traditional way of gaining bar staff attention) only to be told I was hostile & aggressive, I retired to my seat to watch the match out dry, only to be pursued by EMM and asked to leave the premises...please check CCTV OZ Directors - you will see I was not in any way hostile or aggressive; your man is NOT good for business... 10/10 to the staff though. Shame on their boss..

I went last Wednesday and got chicken wings with buffalo sauce. the next morning I was bed bound and couldn't walk or eat. the next 5 days included a trip to A&E;, being unable to move, constant D&V; and the loss of 10kg. I can't say I will be wanting any food from there.

Total Hypocrites ! You can’t get in or get served even if you are in work clothes - however guys sat in work clothes at the bar are allowed as apparently they work for the bar ! Double standards here . Looks ike you better stay away if you’ve been to work in a suit . Stay out the place

We came here on a Saturday night as it was close to our hotel. Staff were quite unfriendly and drinks were reasonably priced.

Came here for Halloween it was fairly quiet when we came but seems a nice bar very similar to walkabout friendly staff would visit again.

Nice bar, reasonable cocktails although the 2-4-1 was misleading when the two cocktails have to be the same.

We popped in on Saturday to watch the Chelsea and Arsenal game - staff were very friendly, the drinks were good value for money, and the food was yummy.

We went to the oz bar for food before the boxing. There was 5 of us that ate, we had the burgers and hotdogs. The food was nice however as soon as we left I got a stomach ache and had to go to the toilet. Having spoken to my friends who ate ther all 5 of us experienced the same thing. Despite nice staff we will not be eating here again having it given us bad stomachs. So only eat here if you want diareoha...

Was out with my friends today went in oz bar one my mates has a speech impediment but one of the bar staff basically accused him being drunk and sluring his words was out of order will never go in there again

Came here to watch the football and, to be fair, there are lots of screens. Table service provided, so ordered some food but it took about 45min to arrive. They missed one order despite us telling the waitress, and failed to apply our discount. Discount was sorted in the end and the staff were really nice and polite. I just think they were a bit busy on this particular night. Immediately after the football they played some old school dance tunes at a ridiculous volume with an awful DJ talking over the top of it! Great place if you’re a student, but there are probably better places to catch the big game. Would probably come again, if only for the multitude of screens to watch the game!

Popped in in the off chance of watching the Bayern and Madrid game. My friends and I were not disappointed at all! Great selection of beers on tap and the food was delicious! Black and blue burger comes highly recommended! My friends had the ribs and peri chicken which they said was amazing too! Great experience all round. Keep up the good work. We will be back

Met my friend to check out the new refurb of our favourite bar where we used to drink and we were stunned. It looks amazing inside and out. Went in with the intention of a drink and a game of pool but was offered a food menu which we were more then happy to have a look at. After debating what to have i had a surf&turf; burger and my friend had the rump steak. The burger was huge and to die for and the rump was cooked perfect.

"I'd like to watch the sports" my friend said. "Let's go to the sports bar, " I replied. So we watched the United game at oz bar. All is going well, there's music playing but that's alright, it's BT and I don't want to hear Michael Owen. But, around 60 minutes in, some dj starts playing Rihanna and messing with the volume so we can't hear each other anymore. Not ideal, but we'll get by. Five minutes to go, they turn the TV off. In a sports bar. The pints aren't even that cheap either and there were definitely 12 year olds getting served. But the toilets do smell nice - 2 stars.

I'm not a keen sports fan, but the atmosphere in OZ Bar made me excited for a game I really wasn't bothered about! The staff were really friendly and really good at recommending drinks, definitely will pop in again!

We came across this bar and decided to pop in there were three people all waiting at the bar trying to figure out where the bar staff were . My wife to go but I persuaded her to be more patient and eventually the bar person turned up with no apologies and starting to serve the first three then when it was my turn she went to someone else until I pointed out that I was before them. The drinks were a very reasonable price though and we had a couple of shots which were reasonable as well. The bar has been done nicely , better than I remember it’s previous incarnation. It’s got potential to be an alright bar if the bar staff don’t just disappear.

Visited here on the off chance for a drink, place was clean and had a good range of beers to choose from. The barman then told us it was 50% off the entire bill on a Monday.
