Oska in Kirklees

This is no more. Closed some time ago Looks like was going to open as a Caribbean cafe but no work on it for some time

Lokal ist sehr schön und wir waren 2 Mal dort (nicht mein Entscheid). Sorry, dieses Restaurant ist neu, lebt von Touristen und bringt es nicht fertig, eine Speisekarte in english zu liefern; nur türkisch. Sushi zum abwinken, Teigwaren ok, Preis eher gehoben und die Kellner unerfahren und nur türkisch sprechend. Mein Fazit, eine schöne Lokalität alleine macht es nicht aus, um Erfolg zu haben braucht es noch etwas mehr. Gehe in einem Jahr nochmals vorbei und bin gespannt, ob es den Oska noch so gibt.

Had coffee and cake which was lovely. Atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Will be coming back for sure

Hay siempre una cálida bienvenida en el Oskas. No pasteles hermosos y cafés. Yo y mi hijo son visitantes regulares. Es local y proporciona un lugar para que la comunidad se reúnen en birstall un buen lugar para conocer nuevos amigos.

No me gustó mi primera visita aquí hace un par de meses pero regresamos hoy en día como lo era local. Me alegro de haberlo hecho ya que disfrutamos mucho de esta segunda visita . al bajar las escaleras en vez de sábado y tenía capuchino en vez de filtro resultado de café. Las mujeres era agradable y había un alegre ambiente.

Really great coffee & cake!!! A very welcome change to the dross that the average British high-street has to offer! Great upstairs seating, and spotless toilets makes for a great relaxing coffee experience. The prices are easy on the wallet and the staff are easy on the eye!! ;)

A smashing little coffee/cake shop, their cakes are nice and carefully chosen to meet customers needs. They do nice wraps and sandwiches, all freshly made.

We visit Oska every few weeks as it's in the town we live in. The staff are all lovely and friendly and there are usually 2 gluten free cakes to choose from.

I called in late one day and the owner was closing, she stayed late to make me my hot chocolate and it was the best hot chocolate I've ever had in my life! Staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome.

Gorgeous coffee and cake also do a gluten free variation. Such lovely friendly staff who will go the extra mile to make sure you are happy with everything.

Oska cafe has been a great discovery. I've used it for the past 2 months and have enjoyed every minute in it. The food is first class along with the drinks e.g. coffee, teas, hot chocolate and smoothies. The atmosphere is chillin as is the the decor. I loved sitting downstairs but upstairs is great also especially if you have larger groups or if you wish to have private business meetings or just a chat etc... A big plus here is the staff and owners, they are so friendly and always willing to chat. When I say I got to know them all that would be true, from Syma, Kat, Chloe and Shona, you all made me smile... Can't wait to get in for more good food and drinks....

I had been meaning to call for a coffee for sometime. Was it worth it? Very much so. Reasonably priced and the food and drink is just lovely.I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the nice chilled music playing. This will definately be a place i visit on a regular basis.

I started using Oska a few months ago shortly after it opened,being in the coffee business is tough because of all the major chains but the coffees at Oskas are spot on,they also have a great range of sandwiches and snacks,the staff are very professional and the service is good even when they are busy.The seating area upstairs is nice but can get very busy but that aint a bad thing,it's a great place to meet and have a chat with fantastic coffee.

I went to this cafe last month with my family for a quick lunch and coffee. The decor is nicely done, it has a warm cosy feel about it and the staff (think she was the owner) was really sweet and welcoming. I had a panini and a bun which were delicious. I'll definitely be returning.

I've been to Oska a few times over the last few weeks and it's just what Birstall needs. Fantastic coffee, excellent snacks and friendly staff. My daughter loves the hot chocolates. It's only been open a couple of months so it would be great to see it being a big success.

I've just discovered this lovely little cafe. It serves good coffee (I will try the delicious looking cake next time) and it has a cosy, friendly feel about it. It's just what Birstall needs and I hope it will be a real success.
