Oriental City in Portsmouth

Chicken, chilli and spring onions was more like chicken in onion gravy. Very poor! Sadly I’ve paid for this food for months and the latest delivery has been atrocious !

Just awful mandarin was closed so i thought I’d go in and try I wish I didn’t now No taste what so ever so bland nothing like the mandarin at all how is this place still open who goes there ? Worst Chinese I’ve ever had what a shame The place looked like a building site when I went in I had to ask was they even open ?

Placed an order at 1750. Due to be delivered at 1845 but didn't turn up till 1940. So 110 minutes to cook and deliver a take away. Fast food it wasn't. Order didn't include prawn crackers as promised. Food lacked flavour. Try one of Emsworth's other Chinese before this one. Overall very disappointing

Have used for many years and mostly good food and delivery, however most recent takeaway was one of the worst I can remember. Characterised by the appalling beef in black bean sauce (black water in fact) and all else underwhelming. Sadly won’t be using again.

Disgusting 🤮 wanted a simple fried chicken and vegetables due to health reasons. What I got was a dish with undercooked chicken, a few limp beans sprouts, one mushroom cut in half and a small sweet corn covered in sweet and sour sauce. An embarrassment to Chinese cooking. There choice of vegetables are poor. Where’s the pak Choi and Chinese cabbages etc.

I have used Oriental city for many years now and have always had value for money and good food, However the last three orders have all arrived COLD. The first order also had Sweet and Sour sauce missing. I have complained twice now with the offer of discount on next order but still arrives cold. Absolutely not acceptable. If you cant cope with volume during pandemic get more drivers or stop delivery. Absolutely gutted will never use again.

Really like the Thai curry here. Not sure how authentic it is but is delicious. Very good delivery service.

We have tried several Chinese takeaways in the area but nothing compares. We recently moved a couple of miles away and used a nearer one but will definitely be returning to this one.

The food is great, one of the best take aways in the area, but Please! Why do they put some of the dimmest school leavers on planet Earth behind the counter? Put the damn phone down and stop instagramming your mates when you are taking my order!

Take out/delivery spot. No seating. Delivery arrives before promised time and was piping hot. Delicious too.
