If you wish to try authentic Srilankan food you must try this place. The curry club menu is great. I haven't experienced such tasty dishes since I holidayed in Sri Lanka. They also do British classic meals, which are a high standard. Each dish is freshly prepared. There is pizza on the menu too so something for everyone. We will definately return for the delicious SriLankan dishes.

I went to the One O Four with my partner to have a nice weekend dinner, which went exceptionally well. The hosts Dilan and Charlene were very cordial. They made our time there more enjoyable. The food and drinks were amazing. I didn’t expect the spices work as well as they did. Anyone after proper spicy twist to British staples such as fish and chips should certainly visit.

Such a warm and cozy place right in the middle of the city centre was not what we expected when we went in. The vintage styling of the interior goes so well with the lighting. Their food is amazingly flavourful. The owner Dilan is a gentleman and great to chat with. He sure blends some of his charms in the form of some underrated spices that make even the simple fish and chips stand out among plenty of other offerings. While the spacious indoor can nicely accommodate all types of guests, on sunny days you’ll have the chance to enjoy outdoor seating.

Outstanding!!!!! One of the best places I’ve been to with my friends! We heard positive things about this place so thought we’d give it a try and I’m so glad we did! The staff were so nice and accommodating and the food was to die for. Highly recommend! You won’t regret it

I wandered in with a few friends on a Friday night and was greeted by a well spoken gentleman the manager Dilan and his friendly staff Excellent environment Very busy The food was absolutely bursting with flavours and cooked to perfection by the head chef Charlene Well thought out menu The service was wonderful our waiter was so attentive and acomodating A Traditional bar with a good wine menu Great selection of cocktails too Throughly enjoyable evening by all We will most definitely be returning Thank you x

My wife and I popped in for some lunch first time here wow the hospitality was exceptional the food was amazing the Manager Dilan was warm and welcoming definitely recommend this place will definitely visit again

Myself and my husband were shopping and fancied a nice hot lunch, we noticed bar one o four we’re doing food and decided to give it a try. And honestly you have to give this restaurant a try. The food was just outstanding. The shepherds pie came still sizzling with gravy, presented so elegantly I didn’t want to even ruin the presentation by eating it, it was that good to look at. My husband had the Sri Lankan Curry and that was also delicious he said the flavours were so unique and very authentic. We have travelled to Sri Lanka and can say that it reminded us of our travels it was that good!! Highly recommended, top top food with a very talented chef and a very welcoming and friendly manager.

We stopped by this bar on Saturday lunch time and WOW what a massive improvement. The new manager is so welcoming, the bar was very busy, but nothing was too much trouble. We ordered the Masala Fish & Chips and the Sri Lankan Curry. And all I can say is this is not one to be missed. Absolutely delicious, the attention the details, presentation and the taste is just second to none. Thankyou so much for the wonderful hospitality. We will definitely be back soon and wish you all the very best. You are doing a fantastic job with a delicious menu. We cant wait to try your Sunday Roast!!

On a day out we were looking for somewhere to eat that wasn't just fast food. We enjoyed a freshly cooked delicious meal and though we had to wait a little while for it we passed the time people watching and enjoying a glass of beer. Our meals - one belly pork and one cottage pie were perfect.

Great spot for afternoon drinks on the way home from a long week at work - regularly helps us unwind and put the world to rights

What a fantastic bar this is! It has recently got a new owner (Sean) who has changed the place from a bit of a dive to somewhere fantastic to have a drink. Its light, bright, fantastic drink choices, excellent music and fantastic service. Sean runs the show with a smile on his face and delivers incredible service. If u had been before forget what u new and give it another go!

Fantastic bar, new ownership has really turned around the atmosphere, welcoming and lovely atmosphere for a business meeting or evening drinks with friends!

Will not be going to this place again! Went to a private party at this venue, my partner was in the ladies toilet when 2 male staff barged in. This made my partner feel extremely anxious and when she questioned them she was told ' I am staff I do the f@#k I like' . When told they were out of order and shouldve knocked first she was told she was a mouthy c@#t!.... when she complained to the manager they were laughing in the background!.... absolutely disgraceful! You don't treat paying customers like that... definitely will not be entering that venue again!

If I could give a 0 star for a review I would. It’s my hen do today, we’re not from Southampton. Today we came in for cocktails at around mid day, and we had a really lovely experience the lady was lovey who served us and made really nice cocktails. We then went and done our day activities, got ready, and then came back literally just now at 7pm, to be greeted by the most disgusting doorman I’ve ever ever experienced in my life. We showed him our ID, and there was a monster energy resting on top of the A-board. One of the people I was with accidentally knocked into the board and the Can of drink rolled off and smacked me on the foot and I said ouch! And he was nasty and said to us are you not gonna pick that up? It was picked up and we thought he was joking, but he was carrying on being nasty and rude to us. Despite my group saying sorry it was an accident. He even then looked at the other bouncer ( who was absolutely fine with us) and looked us all up and down, and said the words “ I know, shocking isn’t it” We’re out on my hen do and birthday. We’ve come from Eastbourne, we’ve all got ready and come out to be looked up and down by an insecure bald man, who clearly has a unhappy life, and called shocking. This is absolutely disgusting. I told them I’m not coming back in the bar, the way he spoke to us was degrading, derogatory and quite simply very 1990s/2000s. I hope he doesn’t have daughters/ nieces I will be posting this review, on absolutely every single social I have in hope that that disgusting specimen of a male “bouncer” sees this and rethinks his choices of words and mood. For us, we were out to have a good night celebrating me about to get married and my birthday, and he’s absolutely ruined it. Disgusting behaviour. (It was the ginger balding man bouncer who was disgusting)

Currently between banks so G ave my friend a still in circulation £20 .00 note manager refused to accept it. How embarrassing . clearly do not understand the 39 September 2022 has not yet passed

A friend and I came in here just for a few drinks on Saturday night. Let’s just say I will definitely be coming back, shame I live in Gosport. 2 for 10 pounds cocktails and the music was absolutely brilliant. I’d love to hire the dj for my birthday party. Just overall great atmosphere. Next time i’ll come for lunch or dinner so I can try the food.

Just a little rant… Sadly the bar staff don’t seem to acknowledge people who have been waiting for a long time at the bar. They also seem to be keen on serving their friends first.. the bar needs to be properly managed, I shouldn’t have to send my wife up just to stand a chance of being served.

My family and I are visiting and stumbled across this great place. Service was friendly, Cocktails/beer were wonderful, but will have to say the food was AWESOME. I got the sliders, my wife got the ribs, our daughter got this amazing charcuterie board that could have fed us all!! If you are looking for something eclectic , really tasty and well priced, this is great place to visit. Oh and the ambiance, tea room/bar— Very cool. A must visit when here. We will be going back before we leave.

Their food and service were fantastic! We were well attended by the staff and manager. Also, food is amaaaaazing as well!! I highly recommend their sriracha chicken wings, cajun chicken sandwich, and crispy chili cheese sticks! Super delicious and heavenly!!! Great value for money! The ambiance is also perfect (not too gloomy but not super bright). Perfect place to dine with family or have a chill night out with friends. Overall, it was a great dining experience for me. Would definitely come back to try other things in the menu 😊

We were looking for somewhere to eat and spotted the restaurant. It looked lovely and we seriously enjoyed our very tasty vegetarian chilly . It was amazing value for money and the staff were very helpful and attentive. The service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back.

We've been here a few times for drinks, and, considering last year's restrictions, took a look at their website seeing a rather nice Christmas menu. Decided to book for a table of 6, but found out when we arrived that there hadn't been a chef for a while now and that no food was served. This meant our group of 6 departed immediately and were left scavanging around on a Saturday night trying to find a place to eat. This was coupled with an extremely long wait at the bar as the service was VERY slow. Naturally we were extremely disappointed and have serious doubts about returning to the venue, which is a shame as the management are friendly and the beer is good.
