I had lunch at this restaurant and loved the experience, the place is beautiful, the food is wonderful. The treatment was also very good, the young man who attended to us was super polite and knew how to help us, I think his name was Javier. All in all, I recommend the experience to everyone.

The sushi and other dishes were a bit underwhelming, lacking the freshness I expected. However, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was impeccable.

Javier was an amazing server and was extremely polite , amazing guy to meet and really kind .

I visited the shop at lunch but it was peak time, the staff was friendly and welcoming the food is healthier because it’s steamed and not fried. I really enjoyed the udons will absolutely visit again

Very nice place. Helpful and friendly staff. Since we are vegetarian, Sam guided very well with available options and combinations. Loved the thai udon box. Miso soup was also good!!!!

We visited Ole and Steen for lunch, they change their menu regularly and we have tried various things from the breakfast rolls in NYC and a delicious cake, rolls and Socials in London and now tried the hummus on rye, it did not disappoint. They are consistently good with their food and coffee. Staff serving here in Oxford could have been a bit friendlier though.

£8 for a large Americano and end of day stale almond social which had a tiny bit of custard. Wasn’t asked what size coffee and auto charged for large and not given a choice. Bad bad service, AVOID

We ordered breakfast from here as we were staying in Botley. 2 x cheese and ham toasties 2 x cinnamon and custard danish pastries 1 x fresh orange juice Not cheap at £35 but it was very tasty. The ham actually had a good strong flavour and there was plenty of cheese. Bread was light and crispy. The pastries were nice but are on the large side and quite rich.

I love their chicken crystal noodle soup! It has a lot of flavour and it tastes better than the same soup at other Itsu restaurants.

I like the service and the food , its quick i like the way you can choose it with big tablet screen and prepare in small time

I was having a bad day to start with and left Itsu feeling better thanks to the lovely Maya. Her warmth, kindness, empathy and brilliant customer service made all the difference. She was absolutely wonderful. I love Itsu even more now! Thank you Maya xxx

Cette boulangerie est vraiment la crème de la crème. Les saveurs sont incroyables, bien au-dessus de tout ce que nous avons essayé ailleurs. Ils proposent une variété impressionnante, avec des portions généreuses. C'est un incontournable pour les amateurs de délices frais et délicieux! Une visite s'impose au moins une fois.

ITSU on its ICKY tactics - they have reduced the bowl size and increased the prices. Okay understand inflation and all but atleast then dont half fill the already small sized bowls. Just ridiculous.

Really enjoyed my experience eating here, the lady that works there I think it was miya or Maya, she was so helpful in helping me pick which sushi I should try as a first time sushi eater I was a little nervous but now I'm hooked! Thank you.

The food here… is so bad.The noodles that we bought was so bad.No flavour nothing.it just tasted like it was a ready made noodles.Nothing special.Do not recommend the noodles at all.And the sushi platter was meh as well.The sushi were so small in size.The salmon to me did not taste fresh.And to make things worst you will have to pay extra for the sushi pickled ginger and wasabi.In my opinion it’s a total waste of money.I did not recommend anyone to try it give it as strong pass.

Food fine as usual, but tables not clean and bins full. Toilets also needing attention. It was a busy time on a Saturday, but maybe more staff needed.

We were just in Oxford for the day of wandering around the shops, fancied a bite to eat but didn't want to go to our usual places. This Itsu was centrally located in the mall at the top of the escalators - perfect for a bit of people watching while we ate. My wife isn't into sushi, so we didn't go for a bento box (but they did look good) - we had the i’thai udon (chicken soup with noodles) and the coconut chicken soup (with noodles). We were both surprised at the huge bowl portions. I had gotten a set of 3 duck dumplings also, but if I'd known the size of the soup bowl I wouldn't have needed the dumplings. It was all super delicious. Full of flavour. The only reason I'm not scoring a 5 is because where we wanted to sit I had to ask the staff to clean the mess from the previous occupant. Otherwise the place was clean and friendly. So let's call it 4.5 Recommended for sure. Give it a try.

Visited Ole & Steen for breakfast, and it was brilliant. It's a Danish bakery and serves a multitude of baked goods along with sandwiches, toasties, and hot drinks. I went for a tuna melt toastie and sausage roll, both of which were great. The sausage roll was special as it had an additional filling of caramelised onions, which I've not tried before, which added an amazing taste to the roll. There was plenty of seating split over 2 floors. In line with cafe culture, there is no table service, so you self-serve. The pricing was very good. Highly recommended!

If the refrigerator is not available, don’t order it from the vending machine. Because there will be nothing

Honestly absolutely awful - I was sat here for 20 minutes during a quite morning charging my phone and waiting for my friend who is running late. I was approached by one of the girls working here and was told I had to purchase something to sit inside. TERRIBLE! I have been coming here for years since it first opened and have probably spent a fortune through out that time. I have also introduced this coffee shop to many of my friends who have now also become regular customers. Made me feel extremely uncomfortable and I welcomed which is really sad. Ole and Steen, you may be a franchise but do better to keep locals and regular customers! Very sad, will not be coming here again anymore.

The food was tasty and fresh. Sitting upstairs pleasant. The toilets could do with more hygiene and cleanliness.

I ordered the katsu rice bowl only to find out half way through the chicken was raw and I’m now suffering heavily with food poisoning and vomiting, thanks a lot for nothing

We have been coming to this branch since it first opened but yesterday may well have been our last visit. We went at 14.30 and for that time of the day the selection of cakes was very limited. And the size of the pastries e.g. cinnamon snail has shrunk by 1/3 while the price has gone up. The service was slow and no smiles. I wanted lowfat milk in my tea but there was only full fat. The tea and pastries came in paper cups and plates because apparently the dishwasher had broken down. The tables were left with dirty plates etc while 3 staff were chatting behind the counter. The bakery prides itself on being Danish, selling high quality Danish bakery products, that is the USP, so what are you doing selling uk hot cross buns? A very disappointing experience and too expensive for the quality now being sold. Ole&Steen used to be a destination shop for me and my family when we'd visit Oxford or London. I used to also always get an open rye bread sandwich from a great selection. Now there might be 2 different options to choose from, and none of them are tasty. This chain has really gone downhill in terms of quality, range of products and customer service since the first branches opened in London. We won't be spending our money here anymore.

Fresh sushi, but confusing pricing (the price labeled and the price at the machine was different) and a little stuffy and not well ventilated.

First and foremost the food is good quality and the cakes and pastries are generally good. The issues however outweigh this considerably: * The place is often busy and there’s a long queue and with only a couple of tills you’re often waiting a long time. Table’s are infrequently cleaned between uses so often dirty and it’s often hard to find a table. * The staff are friendly but frequently make mistakes with orders * The food often varies in terms of consistency. Sometimes the same pastry can be different sizes and the same is true of the food. It’s very expensive considering the inconsistencies * The Wi-Fi doesn’t work properly and the place is a 4G dead zone so basically you can’t use the internet while in the cafe

On the plus side, this cafe is reasonably spacious (there is an upstairs section too). The food is ok and the staff are pleasant. It's busy with lots of people working in here on laptops, but the turnaround is rapid enough that it is not difficult to get a seat. Quite upmarket feel compared to other coffee venues in Oxford. My cheese and marmite toastie was tasty and a bit different. But the coffee was served lukewarm and there was a strong smell of disinfectant or cleaning fluid which was a bit offputting. The cutlery I was given was fine but the woman on the table next to me was given a dirty knife and fork to eat her food with, which had to be changed.

Confusing pricing and self services machines. The toilet was so dirty that I wad unable to use it. The food was good but the experience completely disappointing.

Clean facilities, fast service. Sashimi was fresh, good taste. Gyoza soup was ok, hard to differentiate individual flavours from veg.

Excellent food, always spot on. Service less good since self serve machines installed, and less staff. Can get quite busy, tables not cleaned as often as needed, toilets were offensively dirty today, had to pass.

Usually a big fan of Ole & Steen and have been going for years - last visit on Monday was a real disappointment. All young kids more concerned about laughing around with each other than good service, girl serving barked “no cash” when she saw me with a note (no signs to say cash only) and the quality of drinks was very poor. Coffee tasted burnt and the hot chocolate was just watery milk.

First time visitor to Itsu and was genuinely surprised, food was really good and not too expensive, would definitely recommend

The loveliest staff in town - daren't say less than that! Even though it's only an hour from close, they took the time for an interesting talk on raspberry politics (raspberry vs strawberry), and Josh (the manager) made me laugh so hard I had to put my drink down for fear of spillage. Erin was a great server, and patiently waited for us whilst the app took its time. Never mind the food/drink! The peppermint hot chocolate was like a liquified after eight mint, and the raspberry tart (as raspberry won out in the end) was so delicious with the freshest berries around. Photo isn't of them fresh - we were too excited to eat them! The atmosphere is great, and the various seating options, inside, outside and upstairs mean there's no bad option. Whilst it's not the cheapest, we had a lovely time and it's a great treat on the weekend, so if you're a poor Uni student like me its not out of budget for every once in a while. Cannot wait to come back, and hopefully laugh out loud again!

Well thought out floor plan and great tasting food. I had a chicken gyoza noodle bowl. It tasted good but it wasn't hot enough, I feel like they held back the 🌶️... However, their refrigerator was too loud.

A great location, beautifully decorated but shocking service and sad looking sandwiches. It is such a shame that there is not enough staff to serve customers and the food menu read great but in reality look very different. This has gone downhill since it has opened. Such a shame

I was a regular visitor because while expensive I can usually sit back and work quietly in a pleasant environment. But my last two visits I experienced incredibly rude and off-putting behaviour from a member of staff, so won't be coming back. They also have really bad WiFi and block sites like YouTube which is a disgrace given their fares. Plenty of friendlier and just better places to go to!

The sushi was served cold and was uneatable. It was way overprice as well.

Opted to go for the vegan 'meatballs' and they were lovely (I'm not a vegan but thought I'd try something different). Food arrived very quickly, Anna (our server) was very polite and friendly and everything was great.

On my last visit the staff on the coffee they was Using Negative Language , and they have very Rude Behaviour ,and Bad Attitudes and aggressive responses to implicit/explicit customer requests Today I have very bad morning because two aggressive on the coffee machine.

This was our first visit here and was not overly impressed. The staff seem disinterested and to be honest it was chaotic. The sandwiches we had were lovely however very pricey for what they are ! We wanted some dessert to takeaway with us and...

The warm food came out luke warm I asked for my food to be warmed up . But when me and my wife tryed it just didn't taste right so asked for money back.

Tucked away in a corner of the Westgate in Oxford, we found this to be full of students, firmly ensconced with laptops and bottles of water and taking advantage of the free wi-fi, each to their own table, with the result that there was nowhere...

I love the sushi form itsu, better then wassbi. Sushi tastes fresh and rice is okay. Highly recommended if you like sushi and want to eat on the go.

This place is quick service and designed for lighter bites. It has decent drinks and the staff were pleasant, courteous and helpful whilst the Danish pastries were really enjoyable. Considering the other sites are in London I'd definitely recommend this place if you're in Oxford...

Food is really not good the chargrilled chilli chicken noodles the only flavour in the soup was ginger the chicken was not charred and there wasn’t even a hint of chilli. Korean BBQ chicken rice bowl was overly salty and also didn’t have much flavour. If you like actual Asian food or spice avoid this place.

Had seen people raving on about the cinnamon social so I had to get it. It did not disappoint, was so delicious. Did cost me around £3.30 for a an average sized slice, so so be warned the place isn’t cheap by any means.

I was pleased to see that Ole and Steen had finally reopened in Oxford, having recently had an excellent lunch at the branch near to Victoria Station, with the best bread I had tasted in a long time. However, Oxford seems to be seriously understaffed....

Fun, yummy and cool place for lunch. Our 2 teenagers and us had chargrilled chicken noodle bowl (thick Odon noodles), chargrilled chilli chicken noodle bowl, chicken teriyaki rice bowl and sushi festival, hoisin duck bao'buns, drinks and a packet of prawn crackers (mild wasabi flavour - lovely). Great friendly staff. 4 nice comfy booths upstairs (electric point under seats), lots of other high 'normal' seating. USB chargers everywhere. Great views to people watch the world go by (not from booths). About £50 for 4.

Good for a bite on the go. Lots to choose from (sushi, rice bowls, salads, soup, gyoza, bao) and all of it is ok... nothing to write home about but it fills you up and taste alright.

Sushi. Bao buns. Chopsticks. Is what it is. Not the best sushi, but for sure not the worst. Great for a grab and go.

Good Restaurant. Devour a whale one bite at a time...but we needs 'many' bites here.

Lovely cafe located in the Westgate shopping centre. The display of cakes and pastries were amazing and the cinnamon danish pastries were excellent. Great coffee and friendly staff. Well worth a visit for a pit stop.

In my opinion, having started off so well, Ole & Steen, Westgate Oxford is rapidly going downhill. Ordered avocado, poached eggs and salmon; cold eggs and bread that very nearly required a mini chain saw! Will take my custom elsewhere at lunchtime sadly

The staff was nice, the food was too. The maki/sushi were good but there were too much rice, when we eat it, we can not smell the salmon.

Good food, fresh ingredients, price/quality is excellent. Friendly staff, easily accessible. Definitely worth it if you like Japanese/Korean food.

You should not work here if you cannot smile or offer provide information about your food to customers. I visited the Euston branch last month for breakfast and this store should learn from them. Happy staff and explained their breakfast items. This girl didn't even explain what the food items where when I asked what the dish was, she just said its spicy, so I had to use Google. Visited this branch on Christmas eve. Disappointed
