Great place to stop off on our walk. Cakes, drinks and ice cream all good, and with the bonus of sparrows waiting to hop onto your hand.

Best ginger scones ever!! and great waiting staff, great debate between Scillonian girl ( Cornwall) and Devon boy on how to eat the scone -both worked well!! Went again today and Rob’s pasties are probably the best in the world!! But you have to be quick - Devon boy and Scilly girl were serving again and both are a credit to Rob…..

Probably my favourite cafe on the island. Rob's handmade pasties are amazing, as are the ginger scones. Not too busy, though there are only 6 or 8 tables and it's not unusual to wait for one to become free. It's a real sun trap and surprisingly sheltered. No trip to the islands is complete without a visit.

We called in here when on a day trip to the island, and how pleased we were to stop here. It's a great location with great views. Table service is provided and we ordered a cream tea (2 scones, jam cream and a pot of tea) and americano coffee. It was served at the table and was lovely. The staff were great. Although we did not have dogs with us, a nearby table did and the young member of staff gave the dogs treats with the owners consent, and that was a touch that really stood this place out. They have beach items you can use for free, and that speaks volumes for how good and friendly this place is. As for the cream team, it was delicious, light with nice jam and cream. When we paid, they undercharged us, so when we realised we went back in and paid the extra couple of pounds. These places are absolute gems, so when you come across them, if mistakes happen tell them, it's their livelihood and important they continue. Service with a smile and pride in what they do. Going here made the day just that bit better, thank you.

Arrived for lunch and asked for a sausage sandwich, told it was only on the breakfast menu. My friends ordered sausage, egg and chips, and a sandwich. I questioned why they could provide all of the ingredients for a sausage sandwich separately,IE bread and butter, and sausage and was told that they could only do them for breakfast. I went back to our flat and made my own!

We walked from Hugh town , which was lovely. What a little gem of a cafe . The staff are delightful , the cake’s very nice indeed . You must sit outside if you like birds. The sparrows are very bold and eat cake from your hand . It’s just so heart warming to sit in the sun drinking a hot cup of something and eating cake with the sparrows. What a wonderful place. The draw was the concept of a ginger cream tea, which proved to be ginger spice flavoured scones studded with crystallised ginger, and rhubard and ginger jam with the cornish clotted cream. The scones were fresh and delicious. The cafe is full of charming little touches: the children's beach toys loan shed being one.

I'm all for supporting local small businesses, but when they start charging £6 for two teabags that's disgraceful. The menu said it was £3 for a one person pot of tea. We ordered 2 teas so they just stuck 2 teabags in a small pot! It wasn't even loose leaf tea or anything.

Recently popped in on a Sunday for a late breakfast. I Wish we hadn’t! If faulty towers was a cafe it would be this one. Very over priced food, £11 for an English breakfast I was expecting a little bit more than I received as the breakfast was very small which I could understand if the produce was good quality but it wasn’t. One very cheap sausage and even cheaper bland baked beans, the staff seemed to be either very new or all lacking in common sense should possibly pursue an alternative vacation. The table next to us also had multiple issues receiving a pot of tea for one!! After several attempts a cup, pot of tea and milk arrived. asking for some tomato sauce became a problem too as this did not arrive. we then came into the counter inside to pay, they couldn’t find our tables ticket I had relay what we had ordered 4 times as the waitress messed up what we had ordered. I would waste your time or lots of money going here, there’s some great places to eat on the island unfortunately this isn’t one of them.

Had a ginger cream tea - which was a pleasant change - with lovely rhubarb and ginger preserve. The scones weren’t “large” as described on the menu - in fact compared to others we’ve had, I would say they were “small” and a bit on the crumbly side, but you did get two of them for £6.50 including pot of tea for one. We stopped here for a drink and snack on the St Mary’s coastal walk. Limited alcoholic drinks menu (a couple of beers, wine, one cider) and, at 4 pm, they had stopped selling food.
