Fee's Food in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

A lovely start to the day with breakfast and a warm drink, and a nice warm spot for our Whippet to snooze 😊

We only had coffees, they were delicious! The shop/cafe looked lovely, we'll go back next year.

I went to Fee's yesterday. The coffee I had was nice enough. I do object to being charged for oat milk, which seems to be a common practice nowadays. In many cases, oat milk costs around the same as dairy milk (some places charge more for soy which is cheaper than cows milk), and even dairy-free milks do cost more, it is not 30p or 50p more. Also, when one considers the cost that the diary industry is having on our planet and society, it seems more fitting to charge more for dairy milk, not oat milk! A cafe in Richmond, London did this and I thought it was awesome. I find that this charge tarred my the entire experience at Fees, because it's not just about the charge, but the consciousness whence it came - a disconnectedness from the whole, what's really going on. I really hope Fees, and other cafes, become more aware and stop charging people for alternative milks. It does anything but encourage and support more sustainable and conscious choices.

Turned up at 1430 on a Sunday, 30 mins before they close (1.5 hrs before Google says they close!) Greeted by empty display counters, a grumpy lad serving saying "we're open but close soon" I asked what cakes they have and he said "they're in the fridge, what would you want" .... Um how do I know? I can't see what you have! He begrudgingly went to the fridge to read out what they have, and served it in takeaways to make it clear we weren't welcome. I'm all for clearing away toward the end of a shift... I work in hospitality too... But if you're serving for another 30 mins I really don't think the display cabinet should be tidied away at that point. And servers shouldnt be visibly annoyed that you've turned up. Also the brownie and cookie were stale. A shame, I've loved fees over the years but this really ruined my experience.

Second visit and not great this time around. Had the crab sandwich. The bread was dry and a day old. Crab had 4 shell bits in it which is very unfortunate. My wife had the toasted cheese sandwich. The spring onion was candy which again ruined the food. Really enjoyed our first visit but this time the shell and sand in our food ruined the experience. Would try again next time we're passing.

We were staying round the corner from Fees, and a morning visit became a daily ritual for the whole family. Awesome coffee, great pastries and cakes and a super friendly atmosphere. Plus the lunch options (that we didn’t sample) looked so good. Oh, and totally dog friendly too. Definitely worth a visit!

A lovely coffee stop before you catch the ferry to Padstow. We didn’t have a cake as it was early but they looked delicious!

Cant understand the hype over this place, I know “Brownies” should be nice and gooey but, these are just like raw cookie dough in a slightly crusted case……not good at all and 3* is being generous. Please try them yourself?

Really lovely cafe, great atmosphere and friendly staff that went above and beyond. My partner has complex allergies and they were exceptionally helpful in finding answers clarifying specific ingredients for him, right down to finding the exact brand of gluten free flour to provide assurance. We had the gluten free brownie and it was delicious! Well priced for the area too.

A fine range of pre cooked meals that are ideal for families holidaying in Rock and Polzeath. A great selection of different cuisines in easy to carry packaging.

I think Fees is my best coffee shop ever!!! Both the one in Port Issac and Rock are superb!! The flat whites are excellent and almond croissants are delicious!

Quite busy in the restaurant but when my friend and I approached the desk no one else was needing attention. The lady behind the counter was cleaning the surface and adjusting the foods but we got no mention. This continued for a good 6 minutes, so I asked for some help at which point I was told she would be with us in a minute. My friend then asked for the vegan option and was told the only option was a rather unattractive lentil option. She opted for a flapjack that turned out to be a rather stoggy fruit cake. I settled for a cheese toastie which was good but very greasy. Both of us agreed we would not be returning to an eatery who cares so little for their customers.

Nice local deli which has taken over from competitors as the most go to deli in Rock. Nice coffee, nice pastries and other staples. Turns into a restaurant at nighttime.

Very popular deli - lots of people eating in but also a good choice of home cooked frozen food to take away and salads can be taken away too.

Popped in for coffee & fresh bread. Also picked up some goodies, jam etc. A little on the pricey side & lots of things not priced. Staff pleasant but not particularly chatty or helpful even though it was quiet when we were there. Coffees were very nice.

This place has delicious fresh food and deli items. Their bread is superb but sells out fast..... sign of something good. Their ready made food is hit and miss but it's their service that lets them down. It ranges from disinterested to rude...... A smile isn't hard and changes an engagement. Maybe practice, its meant to improve wrinkles!

Loved this little Cafe/produce store. We got everything from our morning coffee, croissants, pain au chocolate, and pain au raisins, to windeeful cheeses, wines, meats, and pre-prepared evening meals (lasagne & chicken pie), all delicious, here.

We dropped in and were very pleased to see some gluten and dairy free baking. The pastry and the GF and DF flashback were very tasty. The coffee and green tea were a perfect addition. The service was very friendly and welcoming, we made sure we could make a second visit in our short visit to Rock.

I love this cafe - the coffee is delicious and the food is just delicious. Have just been scrolling down the reviews and see most are really good but see a few completely undeserved not so good - obviously some people just can’t be pleased. I am a london chef/caterer and have been coming down to rock for 50 years and just love everything we have ever bought from you.

Great experience, delicious lunch!!

Fees was open on Easter Sunday and we stopped to have breakfast before heading back to the midlands. The coffee was lovely and we really enjoyed the granola and yoghurt dish. The yoghurt was so creamy! The patties were also nice and my son loved his large sausage roll, which was really well flavoured.

Wonderful food today mackerel rarebit loved it so much bought one to take home. Great atmosphere friendly with lots of laughter. Would recommend highly.

Had this meal again and full of nice chicken pieces. Will definitely have it again. Took a little longer to cook the pastry than indicated but that could just be the oven we were using.

After walking from Port Quin we chanced upon this brilliant little cafe just up from the harbour. Great coffee wonderful salad and frittata. Friendly and welcoming. So much above all the other cafes and restaurants.

Got a good thing going on this place. We loved Fee’s when we visited Rock recently. For the destination that it is Rock we felt it a little underserved for good coffee and great food with a nice atmosphere, Fee’s is a gem! Great Branding, delicious pastries, good coffee and bread deli selection. We’ll be trying some of the frozen prepared meals next time for sho.

Called into the new Fees in Port Isaac on the way past on a coast path walk. We were tempted in by the lovely looking cakes and coffee smelt good. I asked the lady at the counter if the cinnamon buns contained soy and she said she didn't know as they were made elsewhere. I double checked that I had heard her correctly, that she didn't know what allergens were in them and she didn't. Pretty sure this is against food allergen regulations, but the woman's attitude made it worse as she didn't really care less. Unfortunately my friends had already paid for their coffees and cakes, otherwise we would have gone elsewhere. Such a shame as the coffee was excellent, but not fun to sit and watch my 3 friends enjoying their cakes!

Absolutely delicious coffee and food every time! Couldn’t recommend the smoked haddock rarebit enough. Even the salad leaves are seriously delicious! We bought some beautiful dahlias from Fee’s garden too, which is a lovely touch. Thank you!! Betty xx

Good coffee and fresh food. My only issue is the queueing system. Posh folk arrive in their Land Rovers and seem unable to form an orderly queue. This makes ordering a simple coffee an unnecessarily arduous and time consuming process.

We always get a Fee's Food takeaway dinner for one night when we're in Polzeath. Usually fish pie or lasagne - they're excellent.

Loved this dish in the past but went off the menu last year or so. Needs to go off menu again! Lacking chicken, sauce was like wallpaper paste. 55pct chicken stock as first item on ingredients should have sounded the alarm. Shame as we love the fresh food we get in shop but frozen foods are not as good as they used to be.

You had nicer croissants before you changed suppliers, alot more buttery, now they are just dry. Your coffee is also not great. Please find better suppliers 🙏🏻

Once again visited Fees Foods, I have to say we are never disappointed. We actually bought our meals for the week we were there, absolutely scrumptious, we went back & filled our freezer box up to take home with us. Thank you so much for all the delicious meals, oh & the deserts. Hope to see you again next year.

A fabulous café/food shop with an excellent range of interesting things. Great coffee, cakes and pastries etc, but there's also a great selection of frozen and fresh meals to take he and cook. Perfect for a holiday supper. Great bread and cheese too! Highly recommended.

We stumbled upon Fee's Food whilst in Rock today and we were delighted with the find. We can highly recommend the coffee, the sausage rolls and the cinnamon swirl buns. Also this shop has a lovely selection of what looked like hand made condiments, candles and a lovely selection of wine.

We are on a family holiday and happened to pass here at lunchtime. Decided to stop and had a most enjoyable light lunch. Smoked haddock rarebit, curried chickpea & coconut soup with fresh baked focaccia, pork & apple sausage rolls - all delicious and perfectly seasoned. Friendly relaxed atmosphere. Really nice artisan delicatessen shop with a few dining tables. Perfect. :-)

Fee is amazing- she recently did the catering (and much more) for our wedding weekend- the food was INCREDIBLE- everyone commented on it. The staff were friendly, professional and lovely to have around. Fee knows everyone and is so easy to work with. I highly recommend using Fee.

Every village atmosfere, lovely coffee.

Super friendly staff and an excellent mix of serve at home foods for big groups or small. We are a mixed crowd with varying dietary needs from vegan to carnivore and there was a little built of something for everyone, allowing us the plan meals ahead of days out. Great spot

Firstly very tasty-However cottage pie with 18% meat? To much tomatoe, not part of a Cottage Pie!Cooking instructions bizarre-cook from frozen 180 40mins or 180 40mins defrosted? This was printed on packaging!Great concept poor delivery sadly-wake up, you can not charge premium prices and expect people to suck it up-or can you good luck.

Thank you Fee’s Food!We are on holiday in stunning Port Isaac for the 3rd time and Fee’s Food Catering have made it the most excellent stay here ever!We have had plateaux of fruits de mer, superb cakes, quiches, fabulous salads and pâtés. Delicious Bouillabaisse. Tonight we had a variety of curries for all 9 of us….Wonderful!And the chocolate brownies were voted by everyone as the best they had ever eaten The lemon cheesecake and roulade are almost finished, both delicious.Everything was delivered by the charming George, helpful, kind and so professional.We cannot recommend Fee’s highly enough.

My husband and I called in 2 nd June to purchase their amazing bread and deli items, then we had coffee and a croissant, but non of their yummy blackcurrant and Bay jam was available to go with it! So disappointed, I suggest that fees add the jam with the pastry and charge extra I would be a very happy bunny.

The food from this place is amazing. You just want to put everything in your basket. Be careful if you do, it's bloody pricey.

Having had a lot dips and terrine's over the years which have been very good we tried a frozen Basque chicken and chorizo supper for 2. We were so disappointed ..so little chicken..plenty of chorizo and mostly tomato sauce.

The sourdough bread and cinnamon buns are fantastic. But, I bought a frozen lemon cheesecake thinking it would be the same quality and it was such a disappointment. Not enough lemon and very bland, basically a pot of cream cheese on top a biscuit base - for £10! Otherwise very helpful, friendly young staff.

Unbelievable food and great service.

Headed to rock for a long weekend and Fee’s Food sorted us out perfectly. Our Friday night dinner party at home went down a treat. Starting with a very special samosa we then had a delicious fish curry and creme brûlée to finish. The tasty (and large) sausage rolls were great for a lunch on the go whether at the beach or walking the impressive coastline. Also can’t forget the lovely service. Thank you!

The produce bought from Fee's food for our weekend stay in Rock was simply sublime. The shop had all the provisions we were after, with friendly staff on hand to answer any queries we had. A particular highlight was their fish curry; fresh flavours, generous portions and fantastic customer service - just what we needed.We are looking forward to picking up more goodies on our return, still thinking of the freshly baked sausage rolls! Yum!

When you head down to Rock on a Friday night you must go and try Fee's Food. Fee's Friday night currys will blow your socks off (not in a too hot way) - it is so delicious! The next morning we popped in for some fresh bread and croissants. I could not recommend more!

As an event caterer, careful and considerate, great attention to detail and excellent product. Our guests were unanimous in their praise.

We had Fee's chicken and chorizo meal for 2, and it was absolutely delicious. Really generous portion size and extremely lovely ingredients. Especially loved the local variety of chorizo sausage. The girl in the shop was really helpful in suggesting what to have with it. My only regret is that we only tried Fee's on our last day in Rock. However, we will be back and Fee's Food will definitely be on our hit list. Thanks.

This Thai Green Chicken Curry purchased frozen from one of your retailers states clearly on the packaging that this dish contains Chicken Breast, I will not buy food that contains leg or thigh meat. This clearly is not breast meat. We had friends coming round for the evening so bought two of these meals at £26, by the time we had added all the extras we could have had a high quality take-away. Suffice it to say that this food ended up in the bin, the only place it was fit for.

Visited to pick up some goodies for our holiday. This place is stunning and the produce inside a 10/10. Coffee was really good. Such a shame about the disinterested parties that were serving behind the counter as it in no way reflects the passion of the brand and the offering.

Fabulous sourdough, and the best cinnamon pastries ever, in fact it’s one of the reasons we come back every year their frozen ready meals are very good and taste home made but special enough to make you feel it’s ok not to cook. We always buy some bread to take home and freeze as well. Thank you Fee and gang

We stumbled upon Fee's on our way into Rock and we needed some bread. Bought french stick and sourdough bread ... WOW! Lovely bread, shame we just went in for bread ... lovely place. Highly recommend it

I have just had a frozen meal from here and honestly, I was really disappointed. I bought one prawn and one chicken Thai green curry but the chicken curry was actually a chicken pie (the package had been labeled incorrectly) and since we cooked it with the lid on and we didn’t check that it was what we thought we had bought, we cooked the pie for an incorrect amount of time and had to eat something else. The prawn curry was quite watery and didn’t have much substance. Although it did have a nice flavor! Perhaps some of their other meals are nicer but I don’t think that I will be going back.

We have been using the take away during lockdown and it’s a great service with quality food delivered promptly and safely. Tonight we’ve had a dress up smart dinner with Lobster from the Rock fishmonger followed by a delicious Brownie from Fees Food and lovely bread with some cheese. We are normally living the beach life on shorts and tee short but decided on a dress up lockdown dinner. The Brownie was a perfect end to our dinner. Thank you Fee and the team for providing a lovely service during this difficult time.

Fee and her fabulous team catered for our wedding in June 2019 at Trewornan Manor. We wanted a relaxed, informal day and given our brief, Fee helped us to create a menu that fitted perfectly. We opted for a Cornish afternoon tea and in the evening we had canapés and a fork buffet supper, various puddings and the biggest cheeseboard I've ever seen! Fee organised pretty much everything from the soft drinks, ice, cutlery, china, glass and her wonderful, helpful staff. The food and presentation was stunning which made for very happy guests, many of whom commented on the quality on the day itself and for many weeks afterwards. Best wedding food ever was something we heard for weeks after the event. We would highly recommend Fee's Food to anyone and strongly believe that we couldn't have picked a better caterer.

Feed your family on Fee’s fabulous frozen ready to cook ‘home-made’ meals; we ate our way through much of the extensive range and loved every meat/vegetarian meal and dessert we tried. The size of portions and quality of ingredients were excellent. Our favourites were the boeuf bourguinon and Basque chicken casseroles. The treacle tart served with Cornish clotted cream is a classic. Treat yourselves!

It was an absolute delight having Fee Turner and her wonderful team catering our wedding in Trewornan Manor this summer. From the tasting to the day itself they could not have done a better job at bringing kind of wedding/ and food we had envisioned to life! Suggesting great seasonal touches to the food and bringing their expertise and help to all aspects of the day. The food was absolutely delicious and we have had so many comments and compliments from guests both on the day and since! Couldn't recommend Fee and the team highly enough!

Fee Turner’s food, staff and service is/was exceptional! Not only was the food delicious, what made the experience so brilliant was getting to build a personal wedding menu with Fee. Exactly what we wanted, how we wanted it (pics don't do it justice!). From a logistics perspective we asked a lot of her team - we wanted the reception in quite a remote location, but wanted various points along the way where guests received cocktails, bubbles or canapés. Fee was always up for a challenge and making our day as bespoke as possible. Not only was the food delicious and booze cold, everyone was so well looked after, with glasses always full and food out, hot, immediately. The cake Fee made for us too, which we had as dessert, was just beautiful, simple and so so tasty! We lost count on how many people told us this was the best wedding food, service and cake they had ever had. Highly recommend using Fee and her team. For the 100th time, thank you so much Fee and team!

Fee catered our wedding in September and we we’re so pleased that she did. The food was the talk of the wedding. Everyone absolutely loved it, in fact guests still mention the catering when we see them now (especially the roast potatoes)! Fee came highly recommended and we can see why - the food was delicious, the staff were lovely and Fee was pleasure to deal with from start to finish - helping us create our ideal menu and executing it to perfection on the day (with lots of thoughtful additions)! We feel so lucky to have hired Fee and her team and will add ourselves to the long list of people who would wholeheartedly recommend her!

Fee catered for our wedding in April and was absolutely faultless. She and her team are completely professional yet also wonderfully personal to deal with. She listened to our ideas and gave us her suggestions. She understood the kind of wedding we wanted, and delivered it beautifully. Fee and her team did the catering for our wedding and it was outstanding - the most amazing (and abundant) canapes that got rave reviews from our guests and followed by a delicious dinner - incredible what you can do in a temporary marquee kitchen.
