We found this on our way to our friend wedding it’s a amazing and cute wedding only had take away latte it was nice and the atmosphere was fab

Arrived an hour before closing to a packed restaurant, however the staff had us seated and took our order within ten minutes. Food was excellent, service was second to none. No pressure from staff as closing time approached. Excellent experience and well done to the staff who were obviously at the end of a very busy day.

Avoid! Service is horrible. Added to this there are no signs that you have to pay to park and no prewarnings from staff. Went in and out due to rubbish service, no customer care. Just under a month later get a pcn from smart parking. Disgusting. Save yourself the benefit and go somewhere else

Went for lunch last week after a long drive from London. Ordered a full English breakfast and Vanilla milkshake. Also ordered 2 classic burgers for my travel companions. Meal was delicious. Milkshake is heaven. Would recommend. A little reminder to give them your vehicle registration number so they can log you on site otherwise a nasty fine.

The staff members are extremely rude, and had a stinking attitude towards my girlfriend and myself. So we left without dining. And later my girlfriend got a £100 fine for parking up and using the toilet after a long trip from London. We had plans to stay and dine. But after the way we were spoke to by the two female staff members, we left and refused to dine there. I'd advise anyone who is planning on dining there, DO NOT. I havint even gave them ANY rating, as they are not worth it.

I was shocked to know it's an American outlet and surprised with all they had to offer. I had oat porridge though it wasn't much, I enjoyed the fact that it was hot. I expected a medium-sized bowl of porridge . (I'm African)

Was going to dine here but staff were awful, unwelcoming and very rude. Poor customer service from what should be a place of hospitality. Because of the staff I left upset and stressed without taking the needed break from my journey. Very poor indeed

Not sure I can qualify it as the ultimate American Diner. It has some vibes like the deco etc. I didn't want to spoil my American Diner experience so I didn't order anything but my family did and they ate it all up.

Not quite as unique as it once was, perhaps due for a scrub up and fresh approach.

Bloody brilliant. Stopped her instead of McDonald's for breakfast and so glad we did. Fast service, great people.

Great American diner! Lots of choice on the menu for anytime of the day, amazing food, plus the best ice cream milkshakes ever. If you need refreshments on the A1 and fancy a 50s American Diner experience, skip the service stations and come here!

BE VERY CAREFUL - PLEASE READ. We stopped in here to get a meal and parked the car outside. We stood in a queue for 15 mins with no acknowledgment or the queue moving. We gave up and left. A few weeks later were sent a £60 ticket from some scam like parking company for not having paid to park there. Be aware - looking at the reviews we are not the first to be ripped off by this scam.

Comfort food when most needed. Staff did well managing busy period. Felt welcome and well served.

Sorry but very disappointed. The food was lukewarm and not very appertsing. The side salad was warm, so I left it. Service was ok but slow. I was so hungry initially, and both my son and I were not too pleased. We both ended up going home hungry. I'll visit the restaurant again in about a months time - I'll then write another review. In my opinion, more staff are needed!

Brilliant driven from Spain 🇪🇸 and the waitress was a breath of fresh air and the full English Breakfast was fantastic first class service and food spot on ,Thankyou

Service was slow, I ordered a drink to balance out the fact that I had used the bathroom on my way home. 2 weeks later I have been sent a fine for £100 for having used the car park over 10 mins. I didn’t see any signs for parking so guess this happens on the regular but also how does it take over 10 mins to make a single overpriced milkshake

we were fined £60 for just stopping to see if there was room in the diner, which there wasn't. this is a brilliant business plan and i'm sure that other regulars like us will be flocking back for more

Stopped here on the way back from a week away with the family. What a choice! I chose a hot BLT sandwich which was served with fries and coleslaw. It was very substantial and tasty too. This cost around £12.00. American themed diner with the usual decor and fifties jukebox music playing. My only disappointment was that Clarke Kent didn't walk in and start a fight!

I came in this place second time. Expecting again be tranfer to olden american days... But it disapoint me alot. Glasses was dirty in my fanta was swimming black, brown things as well. Food look nice but not flavour... I will never come back there again..

Loved this dine, great food, friendly staff Fresh coffee. The diner was clean so was the toilets. Will differently be eating there again.

Beware of the parking charge scam. Pulled in to the car park then changed our mind and left. Got a penalty charge notice for £100 for not paying for parking. What a racket.

If I could give this minus 5 stars I would. So artificial and why smother everything in salt and sauce. Left without finishing and went for proper food elsewhere.

I attended the OK diner on Sunday the 28th of July, at approx 1:30pm, the weather was warm and sunny. We asked for a table of 7, and was told to wait to be seated. Just before being seated I was asked if I had any other clothing to wear because my top was inappropriate and a bikini top, my top was merely a vest top which was slightly cropped, due to it being about 24 degrees outside. I had full length jeans on and flip flops as well. The confrontation took place in front of several other customers and members of staff which is not only highly embarrassing but also unprofessional. The discussion could have taken place to one side and in a respectful manner, even though I find it highly confusing as to why this discussion needed to take place in the first place. Highly disappointed at this behaviour and will not be visiting again.

Let’s start with the good, milkshakes were great and we got 2 free refills put on our table. The hot chocolate was good too. Friendly staff and seated quickly. That was probably the best part. The bad part, one of the waiters had been plastered in deep heat. Yes deep heat. It was overwhelming and gave me and my friend a headache. The food is average, especially at £15 for a “ mixed grill “ but I guess it’s the American diner experience. Also no blinds on the windows and the sun was bright and hot beaming through them.

Really bad customer service.....told to wait at the door...no one told us why or for how long...stopped 2 waitresses who said be with you soon...20 minutes waiting by the door when there were tables we could be sitting at viewing the menu ....

Perfect stop for breakfast on our way up to Yorkshire, lovely food and cleanliness well up to scratch. One thing that has changed since our last visit is parking is still free but you must enter your reg. Details as you enter the restaurant This is still our go to for breakfast on the A1 northbound

Ten of us arrived and were treated fabulously from the start. We were all seated together too. The staff were excellent.

Great place to stop and eat American style food. Lots of menu options. Milkshakes are splendid. If you like old style diners, then this is a stop for you.

This place was advertised as a bike night, so we turned up with 12 others in the group (they had a handful of other people eating in). Unfortunately, the welcome was a little frosty. The food was nice enough, but the staff seemed miserable, so I'm not sure we will bother again.

Great place to get a Ret and a good burger heading north on the A1. Staff very friendly and all reminded customers to enter vehicle registration on entry. Recommended

We have never been before. We will definitely call in again. Really enjoyed the food although the portion sizes were too big. Could have quite happily shared my meal & still been full.

Great roadside diner with surprisingly good food. Thought they'd be leaning too heavily on the 'gimmick' of the US diner, but the burgers we had were good, my milkshake had actual strawberry in it, and the coffee was pretty good.

We made plans to stop having joked when passing before that the food must just be ok....Really enjoyed our dinner here. we stopped on our travels and had a lovely hot dog and chips.. would 100 per cent go back again if we pass lovely decor inside makes it feel like a retro American cafe.

Saturday 15th 13.25. Long queue for service, so had to leave. Yet they want to charge for parking, quite astonishing avarice. Have a go, see you in court.

Only call in for take out coffee driving a prison van, but it looks absolutely marvellous

Absolutely loved it! Milkshakes are amazing, I had Blue Bubblegum and the amount you get is totally worth it. Meal was fulling and tasty. Service was extremely friendly and relaxed environment.

We stopped for the Milkshake's which were all delicious and the staff were very friendly it was fairly quiet on our way home from Duxford Airshow

This was a good place to stop for a drink and food while travelling north on the A1M. Price was good, the place was clean and we would stop there again.

We love the ok dinner. They even do gluten-free food, although not a lot on the menu, but the milkshakes make it worth the visit.

We popped in for breakfast over the bank holiday weekend. It wasn't particularly busy. The waitress was friendly and we chatted. I ordered brioche French toast and you could add streaky bacon for an extra £1.35. So I added this. My husband ordered a sausage and bacon sandwich. On the menu a sausage sandwich came with 3 sausages or a bacon sandwich came with 3 rashers of bacon. When it arrived it had 3 sausages and 1 bit of bacon. My husband questioned this saying that it should be 3. The server said no it only comes with 1. On asking how much would extra bacon would be she said £1.60 each rasher!! You can buy a whole pack of bacon for that. Anyway back to my £1.35 bacon when my French toast turned up it had 1 bit of streaky bacon on the top. Again I said I paid extra for 1 bit of bacon that's ridiculous. Her response was we don't make the rules you're welcome to fill out a suggestion card. My husband did get 2 more bacon rashers and we weren't charged for this. My husband had tea and I had a cold latte. All for £24. Will we be returning probably not. This used to be such a great place to stop on route north on the A1 we've stopped there many times. I'm not sure if the powers that be read these reviews but they should take note and do something about it.

This was a post stag do brunch travelling home, so the all day breakfast was what was needed, food was good and came out quickly for the group of 7 of us.

I recently dined at OK Diner and had a fantastic experience. The retro ambiance transported me back to the classic American diners of the 1950s, complete with cozy booths and friendly staff. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the burger with blue cheese sauce. The patty was perfectly cooked, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The blue cheese sauce added a rich, tangy complement that elevated the entire dish. My only wish is that there had been even more of that delicious sauce! The service was impeccable, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. I can't wait to return and try more items from their diverse menu. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great dining experience!

I’m assuming they must pay for reviews as the service is shocking. Like beyond shocking. I’m actually sat here right now and we’ve been waiting 25 minutes with a table of empty plates waiting to order deserts which now were not going to bother. The waitress hasn’t said please or thank you or even given a smile in the entire time we’re been in here. The food portions are laughably small (very un-American diner like) but genuinely the main issue BY FAR is the attitude of the staff. Rude, rude rude. The staff belong at Karen’s diner, but it’s not even funny, it’s just rude. Definitely will never be returning here. The decor is also very faded and worn.

Quirky little place for a retro American experience, friendly staff and very accommodating as a group of six extra table added to the booth so we could all sit together.

This might look like a typical American Diner, but it's lovely. The staff are brilliant and very friendly. Food is good, miles better than what you usually find on the road. Will return when passing again.

When you're travelling along the A1 you pass some shiny restaurants well they're the ok diners and they are ok. I stopped at the one on the north bound carriage way near Stamford and found it to be an ok experience. The milkshake was delicious and thick and the food portion sizes reasonable but a few extra chips would have been nice. So if you have time to stop for a decent meal this could be just the place for you. OK.

Food was okay. Filled a gap. Floors seemed canny dirty. Service was good until it came to paying. Had to wait ages. Frustrating when stopping on a drive from London to Newcastle. I'd go back just for the milkshakes, though. Banging!

Great idea. Love the decor and the theme. Service was friendly and attentive. My burger was a bit hard and over cooked in places but the chips were great. Would go again but I wouldn't have a double burger, it was just too much to get my mouth round.

Don't know if they have changed suppliers but the food is not as delicious as it used to be. The milkshakes used to have lovely bits of the strawberries in. Now it is just like a Macdonald milkshake. The staff are amazing and the place is well worth a visit but definitely not as good as it used to be.

More food on the floor than on a plate. I watched as the tables were SO CALLED wiped straight onto the floor. Food not hot, and also missing items from breakfasts.

Took 40 minutes for our food. On our second occasion coming here I ordered the sausage sandwich with the ‘mega sized bread’, but received regular bread, costing almost £7, and didn’t finish it. Another of the party didn’t finish their food either. Food has definitely gone downhill recently

Not anything or part of an american diner for England and for the BRAND Ok diner. I eoild of thought theyd actual place be decent. Nothing is fresh pancakes arent fresh no powder cakes nothing is american all is fryer or combi oven. Soda taste like 1987 soda streams Cutlery is not washed or clean or polished tables are sticky. Staff like rough and dirty as if they sleeo eat n wash their. Definitely needs a review amd revamp! Hygiene levels are alarming. Found all this out just because my kids wanted the experience but we cN say it was an EXPERIENCE JUST not the experience we was expecting

i had some chips from there along side a milkshake not gonna lie the chips tasted really disgusting the gravy on top wasn’t very nice either and had a mustard taste to it which it didn’t say and i hate mustard, however the milkshake was sent from a different planet it was so good other foods from there i highly recommend but the chips absolutely not made me feel sick and they were nearly £7

We were outside for the opening time, having timed our journey specifically to grab breakfast. Table for four, we enjoyed breakfast and were out for 09.45. Service was fast, welcoming, attentive, and very helpful. We had 5 minutes to peruse the menu, and we were asked for a drink order while we were having a think. I had the Lavazza bottomless coffee and the Yankee Doddle Dandy breakfast. The rest of the table ordered: a bacon sandwich, a Chicken and Waffles, and a Big Breakfast. Service was quick—I didn't time it, but it didn't feel long at all. The sunny side eggs were gooey, the bacon nicely cooked, the pancakes small and fluffy, and the hash browns were heavenly. Fluffy and hot inside, crunchy on the outside. Regular checks on the bottomless coffee. Booth had worn seating, but comfortable and the table was clean. As were the toilets. I tipped 15%. I'm more than happy we got good service. Thoroughly recommend.
