OHSO Social in Brighton and Hove

Very good size cod, service was great. Fish was a little greasy but great all the same! Staff were excellent!

Nice positioning on the beach, but forcing you to order on the website felt more like them pushing a modern feel. It was, however, just a convoluted process and poorly executed; you had to make an account to pay. Drinks took a long time to arrive also, despite not being busy. The prices were also misleading as at final checkout there was a 10% fee, making a pint of inches cider cost £6.60.

Nice spot, right on the seafront, but service is spotty. Not the fault of the wait staff, but the Management seems poor, and never hire sufficient people. Food seems reasonably priced. Occasional live music

OhSoSocial have accommodated us a few times in hosting our networking events. The team have always been extremely helpful, polite and patient. The food and service has always been of the highest standard. Fantastic venue. Great location. Amazing staff.

Firstly amazing service our waiter was so nice, was cold out so he managed to get us into our own pod moment it was free, the seafood basket sharing starter was incredible never had squid that tender and the mains were also top tier. Only criticism I could even come up with and that's me Having to be really nitpicky to even have a criticism but abit less salt in the mussels white wine sauce could help tho I know Mussels are naturally salty so like I said nitpicking it was for all intent and purpose a perfect meal. Again I didn't get your name sir in the yellow sweater but you were amazing thank you.

We just popped in to grab a quick drink and to sit in the sun. The outside bar area is vast and great for families as the children can play on the beach in full view of you. The bar staff are really friendly and helpful and I was impressed that the toilets were kept clean and tidy. We will be back.

Nice spot to come to in the winter when the Igloos are out on the seafront area, a nice way to spend a few hour having something to eat and drink. Also nice in the summer time when tables and chairs are out on the seafront as well. Good menu options to have here as.

Amazing location next to Brighton Pier. We managed to get one of the igloos which was comfy and warm right in the beach. The food was excellent and great value for money. Very helpful and friendly service from Sal. Would definitely recommend this place!

We had dinner in the pod, what a view - absolutely stunning. The food was very good , the Sussex burger, cooked too perfection, service really good and attentive-5 stars all round.

Saad was a great waiter. The fish and chips were absolutely delicious. The outside pods were warm and comfortable. Enjoy!!!

Went for our Christmas meal with a few friends. We sat in one of the pods outside. They were heated, we had blankets as well as a sound system so we could listen to our own music. The food was amazing, portions were big for what the cost was. Everything came out hot. Saad was our waiter very attentive with us, checking to make sure our meals are all okay. First visit to Ohso but Ohso won’t be our last! We enjoyed a fabulous meal last night with our friends. Great location right on the beach with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, music and delicious food. Beautifully decorated for Xmas 3 of us enjoyed the festive meals, whilst the cod and chips was also rated as absolutely delicious by our friend! The perfect venue for Xmas parties too with an Ohso social vibe, good food and reasonable prices. Thank you for a fabulous evening, we will be certainly visit again.

A great place with a good waiter called Saad who was switched on and efficient. Lovely views of the sea without the wind nor hungry sea gulls stealing food!

Fabulous little place, perfect in the winter/rain due to the outside pods which you can reserve free. Limited menu (burgers etc) but the burgers are proper gourmet burgers, chips crisp and hot. Saad, our server, was really friendly.

Waiter Saad was very kind! Fish and chips was also very delicious and served really quick. Price is fair.

Great Location on Brighton beach - service was absolutely awful - menu scanning & ordering did not work - drinks took more than 30 minutes to arrive and two interventions by my wife. I wouldn't mind if they were busy but it was very quiet.

Nice place, sat outside in sunshine-ordering is via an app at the table Very disappointed in cocktail Ordered a strawberry daiquiri - this was served in a small martini style glass- didn’t taste at all fresh, more like chemicals, very unpleasant aftertaste, however at over £11 a glass I felt compelled to finish it- didn’t order another

Great atmosphere and lovely setting, directly on the beach with lots of outdoor seating and beautiful views. Quite cramped when busy but that just adds to the lively feel. Live music was really good - incredibly loud so not the best place for a getting-to-know-each-other date but lots of fun. Very expensive drinks! Not the best cocktail selection either but the Long Island Iced Teas were good. Service could be better. The staff are great and very friendly but you're not allowed to go to the bar - it's table service only - and there just weren't enough of them to keep the drinks flowing. We waited quite a while to be served each time. I'd definitely recommend it but be aware of these issues, budget for it and order two drinks at a time!

Very busy, service and food very slow, it was known a week ago that the weekend would be scorcher so a busy beach, they weren't prepared. Food was mediocre with an average price.

Pricey Amstel, uncomfortable outdoor seating with sharp edges, and a bloke in the tiny, grim khazi trying to charge money for giving you some paper to dry your hands.

Great location, right on the sea front, stepping out onto the beach, stunning. Sadly received a below average breakfast. We won’t be returning because of this.

Over priced , bad service, I had the worst salad ever

Would like to say they were very helpful when I had a fall on the beach, I was on a spinal board for about 2 hours on their bar floor after being taken there during a thunderstorms. It's not always about the food or alcohol but the service during an emergency. Thank you. Next time I'll be on my feet and having a drink.

Popped into Ohso Social on Brighton beach and loved it. Friendly staff, fantastic views, and surprisingly kid-friendly with activities to keep them engaged. They even think of our four-legged friends with water provisions. Prices are fair for the location, and the DJ's chilled tunes were the perfect backdrop for a meal by the sea. A must-visit!

Really nice restaurant right on the beach. The staff were very helpful and accommodating as I was in a mobility scooter, they put a ramp down so that we could eat inside. There is both inside and outside tables available with plenty of umbrellas outside. We were served quickly and food arrived in a very short space of time considering we were a party of 5. Three had scampi and chips, one fish and chips and one fish finger sandwich. The food was well cooked, presented very nicely and was very tasty, and there us a good choice of dishes. Toilets facilities were really clean and there is an accessible toilet. Staff were very attentive and professional and were on hand for anything we needed. I would certainly recommend this restaurant and would come back again in the future.

A family member and I went to this restaurant for the first time. I saw some great reviews prior to booking, plus pictures of the seafront view. So I booked it and we weren't disappointed. We received friendly and professional service, lovely food and wonderful live music. They were very attentive to my members allergy. We'll definitely go back again and recommend to others.

I was carving for a good fish and chips and what better place if not Brighton? So I tried Osho Social and it didn't disappointed. The fish was good, a big portion and so thr chips. Unfortunately it was a little bit too oily for me and I ended up with a very heavy indigestion. But this is just a personal situation of course, but I woul recommended, to dry the fish more before serving it at the table. Lovely service and front sea view 💙 recommended.

Waiter took our order, and payment upfront and then went home. After 35 mins we were still waiting. Rest of the waiters hugely confused

Relaxing place, watching the world go by

Service was mixed, some staff were nice in fairness but majority weren’t so. Can’t pour a pint - either problems with pipes, the glasses or the pourers, everything was flat so room for improvement. Table service was inconsistent. Good place if you want to sit in the sun.

We went on a Sunday evening and enjoyed the fish and chips during sunset. Service was great. The only downside was the dirty bathrooms.

The food was tasteless and expensive the service was average the only thing it got going for it self it the vue of the beach there nothing else good about it

I have dined in many restaurants in Brighton and have always been very happy. For the first time - we ate at Ohso today for lunch. The food was average and the burger was burnt, dry and inedible - not great, considering the meal was £14. What was MOST disappointing, was the fact that we were asked to pay for our food BEFORE we received it. Initially I thought this was the general policy - but when we noticed the table behind us and a table that came after us - BOTH served by our waiter, were asked to pay AFTER!!! they had eaten and were ready to go - it made us feel disgusted!!!! The only difference between them and us were, we were they only black people in the restaurant!! NOT GOOD!!!! especially in this day and age - and it is sad that we had to go away feeling offended and hurt.

I love it here, especially for a snack and a beer on a sunny day! Thumbs up!

Hated the fact that you could only book by QR code. Also, it seems to automatically take the service which it says it’s optional. Be warned about that. The service was semi okay, but I prefer to give my service after I’ve been served. But it cost £9 with the service to have two very small bottles of beer and actually, they just dump the bottles on the table no glasses. So service wasn’t great. I love the location, but sorry I won’t be going there again.

Not sure if we came on a bad day, but found this very disappointing. The dishes we ordered ranged from whatever to actively bad. All credit to the people working there though, they seemed pretty understaffed and were putting in a lot of effort.

Decent bar in the summer. Gets very very busy at the weekends if the weather is good. Lots of stag and hen dos. Music is ok and sometimes there’s a live singer.

Maybe got it on a busy day, but food was mediocre at best, drinks priced reasonable and service the same 6/10

A good number of us went last Saturday afternoon after completing an annual charity Zumbathon and had a blast. The food was tasty and plentiful with really lovely and different options and the service was timely, with the staff being very attentive and helpful. It is the second time the same group couldn’t get a coffee though as they’d run out. Won’t take a star off for that as the rest of it was fab. Love it when they have cool DJ’s playing and we can get a good shakeout and often for free! Well done OhSo. You knock spots off other seafront venues for attracting a fun yet respectful customer. Looking forward to popping in over the rest of the summer.

We went for a hen party lunch and the server had us remove sashes and veil which was a shame. Food and drinks were ok. After booking for an in door table they had reserved an outdoor table, which meant we were waiting around for them to arrange tables. Good location and service was quick.
