Nicely decorated, clean and wheelchair friendly. We had a chicken salad and cheese and coleslaw sandwich. Also, a late and hot chocolate. Bread was so fresh and soft. Good amount of filling all prepared fresh. Honestly, the best lunch all holiday! I recommend you pop in. Staff where very helpful and friendly. Wish I lived closer (six hours away is a bit far for lunch) as it would be my first choice.

We visited this lovely place five days out of the seven we were in Paignton. What can we say… staff absolutely lovely, nothing to much trouble. Great food, exceptionally clean, kids loved it. Best cafe in Paignton. We will definitely go again next time we are in Paignton. Thankyou!

I ordered a cheese and onion gluten free pasty and my partner had a chicken, bacon and chorizo pasty. They had been heated in a microwave so the pastry was soft and mine had a cool spot in the middle which was a shame. A very busy place and what we saw and tasted was good. I would like to try one cold next time. Staff were very busy and although the end of the day still friendly.

Called in when I saw fruit pasties on menu. Bought an apple and blackcurrant and took a bite to try it and ended eating it all lol. Wish they had shops in other areas.

I’ve been coming here for many years , this cafe is by far the best in Paignton, the staff led by an elderly lady called Maggi are always very hospitable and friendly 10/10

Service was good, food was pretty standard for this type of place, nothing bad to say but nothing exceptional to report either. If you're looking for something that's not fish and chips etc this has a bit more choice, nice panini's, party's, etc.

We were in Paignton for a family staycation, and chose this cafe as it was recommended by a local. Very clean and tidy, loo immaculate, food excellent, friendly staff, we went back again the following day with our grand daughter for more, she ate all of her food, which doesn't always happen !

Went in later in afternoon & had a hot pastie both a Gluten Free Cheese & Onion & a Thai Chicken eat in waited maybe 10 minutes. Great ! Nice cuppa as well. Friendly staff & a clean cafe.

Called in most days of my Holiday for food. Had the ham salad sandwiches. They're so filling and the ham is beautiful. Very friendly staff and the store is clean. As for the review about greasy spoon and dinner ladies that's complete nonsense.

£5.20 for a takeaway gluten free cheese and onion pasty!!!! Disgusting, wouldn’t even entertain! Premises reminiscent of a coach station greasy spoon, with dinner ladies.

I was really wanting a pasty, especially as everywhere in Devon has them, but being gluten free, I was feeling unlucky. Then I spotted Oggy Oggy advertising GF pasties - hooray! They also had two different flavours, and told me they do GF scones too, which sadly I didn't get a chance to try. My GF pasty and my boyfriend's normal one were both very nice. Mine had a couple of bits of quite hard pastry, but all in all, I was a happy girl!

We visited here after going on the Riviera line to Exeter, partly due to the reviews we’d read. The pasties were well-filled, right to the edge and very tasty. A pot of tea for two, a medium and a large pasty were £11.80 which we thought was a fair price.

Friendly lady took our order i had a nice milkshake. Partner had a cup of tea and our daughter had some nice chips and a hot chocolate. Very refreshing since we had a terrible service across the road and were asked to leave.

We popped in for some lunch after a long journey and we were greeted with a friendly smile. All our meals were cooked quickly and were delicious. I can recommend the cream teas! Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!

Handily placed to grab the just arrived Steam train passengers we nipped in after spotting the rows of Pasty’s demanding to be eaten. Pleasant staff apologised that the steak & Ale were still 10 mins away from ready so I had the simple steak one. Delicious! Unfortunately the Wife’s lemon drizzle cake, whilst “very lemony” was a little stale. Pity as this was handy “fast food”. Cafe to nip into.

Friendly staff.Pasty was a lot cheaper thank expected it to be - unfortunately I didn't get a receipt so I can't tell you how much it was. It may of had an end of day discount (I went in at 3.45).Good size for a large pasty, decent amount of steak and veg, could have done with a bit more seasoning though.I bought it hot but didn't eat it for 2 - 3 hours and the pastry had gone a bit soggy and fatty tasting so it wouldn't be fair to comment on the pastry in general.Much better than I was expecting though.

Nice pasty and a cream tea, but I think they microwaved then to warm them up which made them a bit soft. Shame as they were really tasty.

Unimpressed by the options available in Paignton for lunch we opted for vegetarian pasties and chips. Quick, pleasant service and adequate food. Spotlessly clean. Toilet also clean. Better than we anticipated.

The wife and I called in for an afternoon snack.I had a medium steak pasty, very filling and very very tasty.The wife had a cream tea, which she said was the best she had tasted.The staff were very nice. Polite and cheerful.A good all round experience.

We love this cafe we came last year as the kids love the sausage roll and the chips we love the pasties and sandwiches so we called in and definitely wasn’t disappointed the staff were friendly and the food was lovely

The food was excellent but if you sit outside on the seats Infront of the store is can be noisy and busy but the food is good and if you get a takeaway and sit by the sea it is lovely

Decent selection of pasties with a variety of fillings. And they were big, as were the cakes. Staff friendly. Would happily return.

It’s very rare that I tend to eat somewhere that I think might be substandard but today I got it wrong. I do have to say, very disappointed in what is badges to be homemade on the premises pasties. Very limited choice and I’ve tasted better from mass produced manufacturers out of a packet.

Popped in for cream tea. I have been all over Devon having cream teas but to me the scones here were the best i have tasted in the area. The service was quick and staff was nice. Wife had pasty and said was also very good. Will be in again a few times this week I should think.

I have visited this gem with my family for lunch a few times whilst on holiday this week. The owner and staff are really friendly and welcoming as well as serving delicious food. Very happy with this place and will be returning. :)

I stopped by for a quick pasty as i am not a local i always try to make time for one in this neck of the woods. The pasty was luke warm and of an average flavour. What upset me most is the customer service i received. The lady who served me was quite rude, clearly didn’t want to be working. It costs nothing to be polite, especially when your customers are trying to relax and enjoy their holiday. I won’t be returning to this particular pasty shop.

We tried a free sample of chips which were being offered outside as we passed Oggy Oggy. We immediately fell in love with them and went in to buy some. The lightly battered chips have to be the best we've ever had - and the wife's not keen on chips most of the time, but she loved these. Some people on holiday with us said they always buy some when they're in Paignton. We can see why. A cut above normal chips.

This pastey shop has bean here for years the stafe are frendley the place is clean but the food is over priced considering you could get double the amount off ham egg and chips else we’re in Torquay for a cheaper price

Lovely, very clean and friendly staff. Cornish pasties were fresh and hot and very welcome on a cold wet day. Coffee was good but could have been hotter. A clue would be to ask for very hot coffee.

Called in for a lunch time snack, medium traditional pasty and tea. Tasty and a little spicy, very enjoyable. 5 star Hygiene rating, with very pleasant staff. Quick service, clean toilet. You can’t ask for more. Well worth going in. Mike

I sought out this restaurant based on its high ratings on TA. I had a Cornish pasty with a pot of tea. Service was quick and the pasty was delicious.

Somewhere that offers gluten free pasties and pies. I had the chicken gluten free pie which was lovely and my husband and daughter enjoyed steak pasty with chips and peas.

We went for breakfast with our 9month old & staff couldn't of been more helpful. They were engaging and very helpful. The breakfast was lovely & made with good ingredients . We also bought pastys to take away & we thoroughly enjoyed them. We would visit again if we were in the area. Many Thanks

Very disappointing pasties. We had two steak ones 'large' and 'giant' (nope the were small and a bit bigger). Soggy pastry with no meat in either end just some in the middle with very little seasoning. The sausage roll was cheap and nasty. What a shame - customer service left a lot to be desired too!

Keep away unless you like Luke warm pastys, listening to the staff talking about their holidays with the locals. It is very small inside, overpriced as well.

We had lunch here whilst on holiday in the area, having walked over to Paignton from Goodrington sands (decent beach) on the coast path. Walking along the street from the seafront into town there are loads of snack bars/restaurants(ish) and tacky souvenir shops. This place stood out as it looked inviting from the outside. We had our 2yr old son with us who is 'busy' most of the time. The staff were great and got a highchair ready for us. We both had medium steak pasties and a bowl of chips to share. The pasties were lovely, warm and fresh. Plenty of filling and none of the gristle you get in some pasties! Well priced for a tourist focused area too. Would recommend.

Every time we travel to Devon we always go to Oggy Oggy. But this time I was disappointed as there were no fruit pasties.

This is the 1st cafe that does cheese spread sandwiches and offered to cut the crusts off. Appreciated the needs of a child with ASD. Hubby had a steak pasty which was top notch and I had a cream tea ☕. Including a latte and milkshake total was £14.50. Competitive prices with excellent service!!

Oggy Oggy is a small cafe with big food. Plenty of different types of pastie are available to eat in or take away. I had the spicy chicken, which while nice could have been spicier. Clean toilet and friendly staff.

Stopped by for quick snack whilst visiting the area, very clean, tidy and staff were lovely and accommodating. Ideal location, good value for money another must visit place.

Fantastic shop for Cornish pastys they even one awards for the best pasty in Devon also they do lot more different types to shop staff very helpful and very clean well done

Went to oggy oggy for a cream tea for two ,I must say it was absolutely amazing and good value for money (£6 for two) and was the only place where we had an extra pot of hot water ,we go back there every year and each year doesn't disappoint

We arrived on Saturday and since Saturday have stopped in Oggys for breakfast everyday. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Very clean. Food is delicious and priced very fairly. We don't trust anywhere else for our breakfast treat.

I stopped for a mug of tea and a piece of cake to take the weight off my feet after being at the Torbay air show, so it was a busy time. Service was quick and pleasant, it was a very good cake and a nice cup of tea. The cafe was spotless and they serve some interesting-looking pasties, though I didn't sample any this time. Very reasonably priced too, what more can you ask?

Four of us went in for Coffee/tea, toasties and paninis etc. The first thing I look for is a 5 star hygiene rating sticker and if any place deserved 5 stars it is this establishment. The place was spotlessly clean and so were the ladies serving/preparing the food.The service was quick, attentive and pleasant and the food tasty. Highly recommended

4 oldies stopped for a Devon Cream Scone afternoon tea, the café was very clean and inviting, the staff made us feel as if we were family. The teas and lovely cakes were served quickly, my wife requested soya milk for her tea. The staff did not have any but within minutes the soya milk was brought in especially for her. The cakes were delicious and reasonably priced. Well done to all, will return when we are back in the area.

This is the place to get a yummy pasty, all baked on site. The choice is very good my favourite being Stilton and Brocolli

Stopped here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I had the pasty meal deal with the beef and Stilton pasty with chips and beans for under a fiver!!. My wife had a sandwich which she enjoyed and said was very tasty. Staff very polite and welcoming and would definitely return in the future

Had a very warm welcome and really food service. I'm vegetarian and there was a good variety to choose from. My partner was also offered samples of some of the other pasties.

This is a fairly small establishment but what they lack in size they make up with in friendliness of service. It was fast and the staff members we met could not have been more pleasant. Not a vast menu but delicious nevertheless. Highly recommend this café.

I love going to Oggy Oggy. The food is always great. The staff are polite and always willing to help. My mom was ill a while ago, i wanted to take her a little something to help her get well. I had tried to get her a crem apple turnover but nope not one to be found. I went into Oggy Oggy for lunch. I was chatting to one of the ladies and she asked her boss if they could do a piece of apple pie and cream in a take away box for mom. They dont normally do it, but it made mom so happy.

Been here before,tried something else this time and wasn't dissapointed great hot snacks and homemade treacle pudding just as well I don't live closer I'd be a regular. Try the cheese and onion pasty you won't be dissapointed

We had heard good things about this cafe. And so we chose to visit for lunch; as a take out. Unfortunately they didn't have my preferred choice and so I settled for the same as my husband.We were both disappointed with the pasty as it was lacking in steak, it mainly contained potato and onion.We were glad we had chosen to take the food away as it would have been a bigger disappointment if we had chosen on of their meal deals.

We went to Oggy Oggy,s while on holiday in Paignton, the food is very tasteful, pasties, sausage rolls etc, and the best Cappachino I have tasted, the lady who owns Oggys is really nice as are the staff. Definitely recommend.

Dropped in for a creamed tea , the scone was nice, fresh and tasty , clotted cream excellent ,but was let down by the jam. Pot of tea with refill of hot water .Excellent value for money

My wife and I popped in for a mid morning snack,We had toasted teacake and crumpets with a pot of tea. It was very busy and people were calling in for takeaway cornish pasties. The pasties looked really inviting so bought 2 to take back to our holiday apartment for our evening meal, they were scrumptious, it's no wonder the cafe is busy. Also the girl on the till was a delight, extremely chirpy and friendly, if only all cafe staff were as good.

Been here twice now on both occasions the staff have been very welcoming. It is a Cafe and Take away and the food is very nice, a lot of people seemed to have drinks.

With a warm welcome and tasty food, this was a very enjoyable place to sit and eat.Only downside was it was small. However still a very nice place

Called for quick takeout pasties for on the beach. They were lovely and filling was perfect. I opted for the medium size which was very filling. Hubby obviously went for the large .

Went in for lunch had a cheese and onion roll and a Coke.it was a very nice place to have a snack at.i would eat there again as its a nice place.and the women who served was polite and friendly.

I watched people eating traditional pasties and wishes it was me. Couldn't believe it when we walked past Oggy Oggy and they had gluten free pasties. The answer to my dreams, it was worth waiting for, really delicious. My husband also enjoyed his traditional pasty.

Brilliant litttle coffee shop. Such friendly, inviting staff. Who are always happy tp help! Best pasties in town! Also a must have in there is their fries! If you haven't been there, i certainly reccomend you do!

You could be tempted to just walk - or drive - past, since this place is called "The Oggy Pasty Company" but it is also an outstanding little place to eat with exceptional standards of cleanliness, courteousness and very fine food. The ladies who serve are also extremely charming and pleasant. Value for money is very, very good. It is not a huge menu but what is offered is wonderful food, promptly served.

Have tried pasties from most places in paignton but oggy oggy are by far the best!!,lovely pastry with plenty of steak and potato with just enough pepper. Havnt eaten in so can't comment but all ways look busy

When ever I visit paignton I always come here for the homemade ham salad rolls. They're so tasty and awesome value for money. Its good proper ham not that extra thin stuff you normally get. The owners always make time to have a chat and the other staff members are so nice as well.

Couldn't fault any part of the visit.The staff were helpful, nothing was too much trouble.The food was great value, very tasty, and the surroundings clean and hygienic.There are many places to eat in Paignton, all serving similar food. But I will definitely visit here again, based on our experience this time.
