In the centre of the ongoing roadworks (until 2025) on the A3 near the M25 junction surrounded by woods. Simple fare at reasonable prices. Somewhat uneven ground with walks nearby. Children and pets welcome but cafe can be busy at peak times.

Visiting family in the area. Had lunch on Saturday served by a very friendly couple. My mushroom, onion and tomato baguette was excellent and the rest of the group enjoyed their meals. Prices were very reasonable and considering we had 3 young children continually changing their minds, everything was served quickly and correctly……a minor miracle ! Cannot recommend it highly enough

A convenient stop off point if in the area for a walk like us. Oakham bites sells food and hot drinks. In all honesty it was very average although we thought the burgers were poor.It served a purpose but not worth going out of ones way to eat

Do not order the burgers! Very thin cheap, mushy burgers, full of hard gristle. The price paid does not reflect the quality at all, very disappointed.

Amazing little cafe. The staff/owners are really friendly and always say hello with a big smile. I started going here after my dad died when I felt really alone and honestly a bit sad. But now I go every week with my dog Shadow, it’s kinda my Sunday tradition now. I stick to a bacon baguette (best bacon baguettes ever) and Shadow always gets a sausage.

I lost my direction on a visit to Ockham and ended up on the Boldrewood car park rather than the Pond car park (where my car was). I decided to have a tea and - after a long while looking at the board - a jumbo sausage roll too. Total cost was £4.70 (£1.50 for the tea and £3.20 for the sausage roll). The chap was pleasant enough, the tea was hot (albeit in a polystyrene cup) and the sausage roll adequately warmed. (He did say that he had to take care warming the rolls due to the pastry.) It's a tea-stand in a car park on the edge of a heathland and I've assessed it against that standard. It's ok. If I was passing and needed a tea I'd happily call in again.

Stopped after walking dog around the heath. Bacon roll OK (not sure about best in area though) but latte was not drinkable. It was scented with something and they just said it was an instant latte. Not helpful as it was not coffee nor drinkable, shame as puts one off going back. Not overly friendly service

Delightful Cafe with easy parking in the middle of expansive forest, woods and walking trails, which seem to attract numerous young men. Presumably nature lovers, they seem to congregate around sunset, as wildlife in Kenya does around the watering hole. A friendly bunch that seem to enjoy the shadows and dense foliage, I have made many friends over recent visits. Having experienced the beef several times, I tried the chicken tonight and it really was delightful; a real melt in the mouth variety and definitely free range, served with ample sauce - I could eat that every day provided the wife never found out. The real attraction of this place is the sausage - numerous varieties, some disappointing, others just delightful, all are an experience. I had no idea just how much sausage I could fit in, but Ockham Bites helped me find out, and the answer is “more than I ever imagined.” Visit today and expand your culinary circle.

I had been here before many years ago and it was really good. Sorry to say that we just ordered 2 well done bacon rolls and received 2 cheap bread rolls filled with soggy pink bacon that had only just seen a frying pan. So disgusting that I threw mine away. Never again!

I’ve passed this place so many times and I thought today was the day to try the “best bacon roll”, what a mistake that was. A cheap stale roll with a red sauce that didn’t even taste like ketchup , bacon was fatty. The guy running it was moody. 2 bacon rolls and 2 drinks for £13 is a rip off too. Take your sign down.

The sign lures you in stating ‘BEST BACON BUTTY AWARD” Really? Does a butty with just two rashers of bacon with Warburton’s bread and cheap ketchup and too much margarine, made by a bloke who doesn’t smile or welcome you, class as “the best”……… Take the sign down it’s embarrassing

Just off the A3 on the opposite side to Wisley Gardens. There is a large car park which does get busy but I had no trouble finding a space. The cafe is at the back of the car park and offers a good selection of pasties, pastries and sandwiches plus a large menu board. We had the coffee, a pasty and a sausage roll. I had the sausage roll hot which meant microwaved instead of heated and this makes it greasy and a bit limp. I suggest you have it cold. The food tasted nice and so did the coffee. The area outside the cafe has some seating and is surrounded by tall trees. It is very nice to sit there for a while and the major plus is that it is open during lockdown! The noise from the A3 is annoying at first but you do tune it out quite fast. From this car park you can enter the woods for walking. Doesn’t look easy for those with mobility issues. Quite steep climbs but there may be a flat route too. There are loos on-site and the area is clean and tidy. A little expensive but it is out of the way. Very popular locally and I will definitely be going back regularly.

I have lived in Cobham all my life and never even realised that this little cafe was ever here! I popped in for a drink and a bacon sandwich due to the recent lockdown rules and it was definitely worth it. The workers were the owner and his son who were very pleasant and seemed to be enjoying their work. They engaged everyone in conversation and created a very friendly space to be in. The bacon sandwich and the hot chocolate made a horrible day seem sunny, and the woodland area where the cafe is based is absolutely beautiful. I will definitely be coming in again to have another bacon sandwich and would definitely recommend the cafe to anyone who enjoys a good laugh and a bacon sandwich!

My wife and I were on the M25 heading for Guildford, about two miles from The A3 when she suddenly fancied a bacon roll. . Within minutes I noticed a sign saying something about ‘ best bacon butties’. We followed the signs and found Ockham Bites. The quality of the food here is absolutely outstanding. But, do not mistake it for a fast food venue, it is not. All the hit good is cooked to order, you will wait to be served and you will wait again for your food to be made. This cafe serves irresistible food in great surroundings. Ockham Common is a wonderful area for dog walking, enjoying the heathland, with heather now in full flower, and soaking up nature. There are rare ground nesting birds among the heather so best to keep dogs in the extensive woodlands during the summer. At the end of your walk, Steve and his welcoming team have gorgeous freshly baked baguettes with a delicious variety of fillings, bacon butties voted the best in the country, a wide range of other goodies, both savoury and sweet, and the only cappuccino my wife really enjoys. After our car had the diesel syphoned at Cobham services on the M25 while we were inside the building, we found ourselves travelling with absolutely no diesel in our family car for about 1/2 a mile. Desperate, we pulled off the M25 and crawled onto the A3 briefly before pulling off into the car park of Ockham Bites. Stressed out and explaining my story to the staff, Steve, without hesitation offered to take me to the nearest Petrol station to buy a jerry can and some diesel. This was an extremely kind thing to do and speaks volumes of him as a person. Although we ate no food here he gets manager of the year award from our family and we are very grateful for what he did that day. Cheers, Rob. Stopped off for a quick bacon baguette - lovely freshly baked bread and tasty bacon on a rainy day in summer. This is my second attempt al leaving a good review. However the most delightful reason for this review was the honesty of the staff. I left my full but ancient leather purse on the counter. They phoned my card holder to advise they had the purse safe. They then arranged with me to post it, plus full contents, to my home. Heart-warming honesty and good food. Brilliant. Thank you Ockhsm Bites!

Having moved to South Wales almost 30 years ago, but having left (now elderly) family members in South East London we regularly drive to visit them, almost always stopping off at Ockham Bites café for a break. Although Cobham Services is now open on the M25 we much prefer to pause here for a while as the extensive surrounding pine forests are an inviting place to stretch our legs. We have always managed to park close to the facilities, which is not always the case at a service station, something becomes more important when it is pouring with rain. However, if drivers bring their own “picnic”, there are parking spaces further away where they can spread out although most of the wooden benches are near the café.

Discovered this marvel by accident. Fed up with the traffic jam on the, infamous M25, I finally gave up and and came off in search of a traffic free route. Just 400yds down the road towards Guildford, I took the first left and immediately on the left saw an opening into a wooded area, which turned out to be wooded picnic area. Including to one side the "Ochkam Bites" food bar. A good variety of food and beverages were available from which I chose the breakfast in a box, sat beneath a pine tree on a bench with table and enjoyed a perfectly cooked breakfast.Whilst waiting for the food to be prepared three red faced young men approached the chap cooking my breakfast asking directions for wherever and after he explained it was another 5 mile walk or so, they were completely downhearted. The chap then said hang on five minutes and I'll give you a lift. It not often that I have seen such generousity.

I saw the cafe's A-board as I went from the M25 to join the A3 and then found this cafe. Just right. Nice tea, very nice fruit cake, nice people. Have passed this place so many times on our way to West Sussex - we usually stop at the Marks and Spencer's attached to the garage a little further along the road, but decided as if was such a nice day, and we had 3 dogs with us - we would sit in the sun for a while and walk the dogs! Nice location - surrounded by tall trees, unfortunately road noise, but you can't have everything! Lots of people, lots of dogs! We ordered coffee, which was very nice -£1.60 for a good filter coffee. 2 of our party had a large baguette with sausages, bacon and egg - £4.38 each - freshly cooked, well presented, wrapped well and quite delicious! This is a much better option in my opinion than the M@ S. Excellent toilet facilities also - which are definitely better than the garage option!!

So always served quickly and food is good however prices have gone up a bit and they only take cash??!!! Is always busy at the weekends but they are closing all of august WHAT ??? It’s the only place to grab a descent bite to eat in the daytime around here. Improvements would be better quality of red and brown sauce they do use the cheaper versions which in my opinion ruins the breakfast.

Asked for gravy on the side , all came smothered in a thick dark brown gravy and a jug of gravy on the side. Very poor presentation and the quality of the turkey was poor but the single slice of beef was the toughest I ever had. We didn’t even consider dessert ! Not to be recommended, AVOID.
