Swooped in here this sunny morning for a peck. Was presented with friendly staff. My order was taken promptly and the food was really nice. Not too keen on hash browns and I was offered an extra egg. Found the whole experience great and the cost of the morning delight was reasonable. Definitely would fly in again

So after Googling best places to have breakfast in Newquay Cornwall this place popped up in 2nd place behind a fish restaurant. It had 5 stars and good reviews. So, we decided to seek it out. I would not eat here again. Whilst clean it gave an impression that it wasn’t. The sauce holders presented with the meal are tired, grubby and unappealing. We ordered two breakfasts a hot chocolate and a coffee. After repeating the hot drink order twice we ended up with a tea and a coffee. Food was ok. Nothing to write home about definitely not worth 5 stars. I’d give it 2/10 tops. Not sure if this is the best place in Newquay didn’t hang around long enough to find out. Not our thing really.

tried the breakfast a few times down the road but gave up in the end , found this gem Oceans cafe few mins up the road, had to wait for a while to get a table, as it was packed, it definitely worth the wait, couldn't fault the breakfast at all, cooked fresh from each order, and presented so nicely, not just thrown on the plate, presentation says alot, excellent breakfast, amazing friendly staff, 5/5 for everything if there was a 10 I would be starring it this rate, definitely recommend if in the area x

Really really poor standard. Poor service the man who works there has the worse attitude ever, when I asked for my bacon to be well done he gave me nothing but abuse . That bad I just paid and had a breakfast at Niles cafe further up the road. Would not recommend this place honestly poor attitude and food

Amazing place delicious food and nice people

Visited for an English breakfast after looking at similar cafes nearby. We made the right choice, as Oceans has a quiet courtyard at the back, which is a lovely suntrap. The owners and waitress were friendly and we didn't need to wait too long for our food and drinks. When we needed to ask for mustard, they were happy to provide. The price was reasonable, the food delicious (freshly cooked) and the location was right in the centre of Newquay. Would visit again next time we are there, definitely recommend 👌

I came in with my assistance dog. Originally one of the owners said “we only allow dogs outside”. Upon seeing her vest, he apologised greatly and welcomed us with open arms. I cannot fault this cafe. Both employees were so very lovely. The food was impeccable and service incredible. They made me feel so welcome and even asked another customer to politely move slightly further away so my assistance dog could stretch out a little. I was so impressed and I will definitely be going back.

Value for money . Went to Newquay in October for a family break . Popped in this cafe for breakfast . It's a lovely little place , owner is very friendly and a great host . Full English breakfast went down a treat , very affordable too . Even moved the tables around to accommodate us as we were a family of 5. Will definitely be back . A nice homely feel to the place , it filled up pretty quick can tell it's a favourite with the locals .

Tried a few places in Newquay for breakfast and this cafe was the best so went back a few times. Food was fresh hot and presented nicely staff are also friendly.

I had my breakfast there this morning and it was great everything was cooked just the way I like it and they've got good prices too I will probably be having my breakfast there for the rest of my holiday.

Found this little cafe this morning and the food was amazing, the best breakfast we’ve had in a very long time. Breakfast was well presented and everything on the plate was piping hot. No issues with service and had a nice chat with the owners after. We’ll definitely be back. Would highly recommend

Breakfast was ok, service was ok and same for atmosphere. However, the coffee (what was meant to be a latte) *see photos* was not nice, it didn't have enough froth, it was darker than a latte should be (a latte is supposed to be mostly milk). And the last thing is that there was this brown sludge in the two coffees that were ordered which you can see again in the photos. If we are to come to Newquay again in the future either on holiday or to live here we will not be turning to Oceans Cafe for breakfast. Thank you anyways.

Stumbled upon this lovely cafe looking for breakfast while on holiday, resulting in a daily visit the food is great, lots of choice, great value for money, really pleasant staff making for a nice welcoming atmosphere. We will happily visit again on our return next year.

Visited here on a recommendation from my partner’s Grandad as he is a regular here (breakfast no egg & black coffee) which the staff remembered! Bacon was delicious, it’s super thick and was cooked lovely, breakfast was overall a nice standard. Grandad will be back for sure! Thank you

Having used this cafe before where I found the breakfast to be excellent, I have to report that it was the opposite this time. The place is somewhat small but lends to good atmosphere. The breakfast I had was the usual fayre but several items appeared to be undercooked, namely the egg which looked a bit snotty, sausages were pale in colour and lacking any taste and then the hash browns looked very anaemic indeed. The plus side was that the bacon, beans and plum tomatoes were excellent along with a couple pieces of toast, buttered, and plenty of tea on hand. It was unfortunate that I did not enjoy the food this time and maybe a bit longer in ensuring that the negative items were cooked for longer

We went here on Saturday with my family. We were ordering our food when we asked for the bacon to be well done and we were told that it wouldn't be able to be well done because it was cooked on a griddle so it wouldn't be well done.. when it came out, it was only cooked on 1 side, and my daughter took 1 look at it she said she wasn't eating that, so she swapped it for a sausage off her dad. I had to ask about my cereal, and she told me she had forgotten about it. I told her about the bacon, but again, she said that is how it comes, so that was that. The cafe was full, but none of the staff smiled they looked miserable, and I would definitely not be visiting again.

The two little helpers also are a credit who are so polite and helpful , nothing is too much trouble 100% recommend and definitely be visiting again next year . ****** update 2023 ********** Been again regular in our one week stay in Newquay, can’t fault this cafe one bit , always welcoming and polite … will not go anywhere else 5* from us

Great service and a warm welcome. Situated in the heart of Newquay in Cornwall. It's the great place to watch the world go by and fill your tummies. Excellent value for money. Had the classic breakfast and everything was perfect. There was no WiFi at the time and the signal is quite poor, so a great place to actually talk without distractions. Would recommend and there is 30 mins free parking just 100 yards from the cafe and close to the bus station and shops. Thanks team once again. Rog
