Ordered 2 chicken & mushroom pies and 1 large chips. The chips were very hard and chewy - couldn't bite through them, some were undercooked in the middle. They tasted horrible, either re-cooked or cooked in old oil. The pies were extremely hard on top - couldn't bite through the pastry and soggy on the bottom. Will not be returning. No wonder there wasn't anyone else in the shop, it used to be so good and always busy when previous owners were there.

Neither of us could eat this. Both cod and chips tasted very strange, sorry but won't be using again.

I went for a day out in Herne bay and at the end of our otherwise great day we decided to get fish and chips. What a mistake! The chips were awful and cold. The cod was slimey and the batter was disgusting I would not recommend this place to anyone The food wasn’t even worth throwing to the sea gulls

South Quay Whitstable HarbourFish and chips are the best here! We ordered two portions, a bit pricey £14.95 with local draft beer, tasted great. Highly recommended! Unfortunately, oysters not my cup of tea, love fish
