What a hidden gem. Went on a stag party and stumbled on downstairs at this place. The German music and "follow the leader" style songs were great. Made to feel welcome. After the German activity there was an amazing musician on, followed by normal DJ. We had planned to only stay for one drink, ended up staying the whole night. Would visit again.

We went there on Saturday night for a stag do I was the best man for. This was 2nd bar on a 5 stop bar crawl… this place was so good the bar crawl was scrapped, we spent the whole night here, the entertainment was fantastic and created the most ideal conditions for a night out I could only have dreamed of, it really exceeded expectations .

Popular but not too busy. Only downside would be price of drinks but the vibe is good.

Staff took my table number then didn't which table I was, chips were over cooked quickly finished my pint and left, if you enjoy loudness and cheering it's okay

Went in for a couple drinks and the bouncer was super helpful and lovely I lost my phone and he helped me look for it and we found it! He was an absolute darling really changed my view on bouncers! Thank you Xavier you were the highlight of my night!

We went with a bunch of friends to watch the rugby match the atmosphere was wild and very good. The staff was very polite and nice. The food was delicious. Overall was very nice. I enjoyed it

awful! rude security guards, they let me in then me and my friend went to the smoking are then tried to get back in, he shoved me and said no i kicked u out already i said no u didn’t u just watched me come out to the smoking are then began so swear at me and said no, the chubby blonde guy is rude and racist and tried to kick out my bf because he’s chinese, he said i kicked out a chinese guy i said we just got here he said no i can’t tell the difference they look the same

Food was not a point and service was slow

Had a great time here for New Year’s Eve with my friends. I had been to a Bierkeller last year at another location and enjoyed it, but the one in Nottingham was really good. The atmosphere was immediately set by the host who sang songs in German and engaged us by getting us to move and cheer at certain parts of the songs. The live music was also great and I enjoyed the songs which were then played by a DJ after midnight. One of my favourite New Year’s Eves! Side note - it might be helpful to have pictures on the drinks menu to show what each drink looks like. There was a mix up of drinks within our group but we sorted it out soon after.

Absolutely disgusting ladies toilets. Floor was swimming with water or urine. Expensive drinks

Kind of a weird experience. Nice looking bar but feels a bit like a dodgy club once you enter the absolutely vile toilets to find a man with a full blown market stall sitting directly in front of the hand driers. I also understand it's only German inspired but the German word for wine is spelled wrong on the menu. 'Wien' as it says on the menu, is German for Vienna and is not the word 'wein' as I assume was intended. We found it hilarious but honestly it's a bit embarrassing. Staff seemed initially unaware of their own booking system, we'd only booked due to Nottingham being extremely busy that day. After asking several members of staff we were eventually seated at a table that had been reserved for us but I'm unsure what the confusion was, particularly since their booking system states there is a £10pp fee if you don't show up. The food was absolutely horrific, I didn't expect miracles from a sports bar but it's genuinely awful. The redeeming factor was the beer which was very nice. We received speedy service and despite the initial confusion the staff were really friendly.

Okay this place is abit expensive for what it is and the service does take a while but been here quite abit when this place gets going you can have a absolute brilliant night here so in terms of ATMOSPHERE it has to be 5 stars the FOOD is great aswell and reasonable so 5 starts but it just takes so long to get served when it gets busy in there and the staff they get just for pouring pints aren’t the best but would recommend overall

For younger people to dance and celebrate on the ground floor, billiards and darts and a bar on the upper floor

Came in here for a nice night out and was immediately met with rude security staff. The man that let us in was lovely but the female security guard was on a power trip and started to shove my friend when there was so much room to move behind her! My friend made a comment about not appreciating it and the bouncer then replied “you got something to say to me?”. About an hour later a girl had started on me and was pulling my hair, but the bouncer came straight for me and even with cooperation she was still on her high horse digging her claws into me! I understand that they can’t be watching everyone at all times, but it seemed as though she had already picked her fight with me when we were minding our business! This security guard needs bringing back down to earth and remember that she’s supposed to stop the fights not start them. When we’d got outside we had to basically beg for them to take the other girl out, because if my night can be ruined, so can hers. I’d tried to explain my side and they were treating me like some out of order drunk when I was completely sober! Not to mention letting grown men square up to girls, the bouncers from the club across the road had to step in and did more than anyone in here did!

The waitress was extremely rude

Rude woke staff, tried to get a beer from the young woman at the bar, and got told to wait as she was asking a question to another customer even though she was blatantly not serving them. Had to get served from another guy in the end.

Nice place, they try to give it a german touch.... The kitchen closes early, so i can not give stars for the food. The House-Beer was cold, thats it. For german taste too light. Better try another one.

Literally just had Monique be an absolute saint. I had a fall near and she was able to supply me with a bandage to reduce bleeding.

Me and my mixed race friend ordered a sex on the beach cocktail and was overcharged which led to us asking to a managerial correction which lead to us and our whole table being escorted out by security absolute disgrace

Extremely naughty language by the host. Good fun and atmosphere. Dancing allowed on benches but not tables. Group was good.

Came for a night out to watch the darts and the bar tender refused to put the sound on until 5 people asked. We ordered some skin on fries and took 45 minutes to come and was cold. Very disappointed.

Boring. I’m sat here now writing this review. The DJ catering for himself. It’s not old school. The music is so mashed up you can’t get into a grove. The sound quality is poor. The free one hour rum is weak. Better get a pre party at your own home before arriving. Disappointed

My mate asked for a song to be requested to the dj and he said no (fair enough he has a set list) but instead of being civil he said no and choked him out (not joking we called the police as his neck was red raw) but we were just kicked out instead disgusting

We came into bierkeller and spoke with Jake who seems to be the head doorman now. Absolutely brilliant service and was really just about protecting us. His jacket says radical consultant security. They must be very proud! He is a credit. Great to see a group that care about women and safety!!

I went in there with my son for lunch and pint early afternoon. The customer service is absolutely appalling!! - The barmaid served us, but then continued to have a conversation with another member of staff swearing profusely. When the food arrived, the chef and barmaid stood back talking to each other and watched us eat, as though they had done something to the food. I was polite the entire time I was there and didn't say anything, but I won't be visiting again, the atmosphere was rubbish and the place pretty much empty. Don't go in!

came to watch england vs wales and staff refused to put game on the big screen despite all the customers were either wales or england fans just to watch the rugby. rather, a bunch of men talking about league football. terribly run place and slow service - waited 30 mins for a pint, during off peak times !!!

We ordered chicken wings. Honestly some of the worst I have ever had, tasted like plastic. The service was good and a wide selection of beers. Atmosphere is also good what you would expect from a sports place.

Don't really don't. Can I have a wheat beer? Is it Hellesdon or dunkeles? Bo idea. Hellesxservedcin a plastic glass tasted like cleaning fluid. £6 a pint. Absolutely forget this place. Go buy a perfect draft and situations home listening to Wiesen Schlaeger.... deserves to close. Awful. Actually not even that good. Place smelled too. Don't go, really don't.

Very poor bar staff. Tall lady with purple hair. Tried to give me vodka and coke after I ordered rumb and coke. When I tried to let her know that is not what I ordered she was rude. Also tried to over charge me and would not give me a receipt when I asked. Very poor customer service from the tall lady with purple hair and I will not be returning

Beware of the bar staff overcharging- when I questioned the price of My round and asked for a receipt they just gave me the c:c receipt so i insisted on a detailed receipt- low and behold the barman said he must have pressed the button twice and offered me drinks to the value of the overcharge- no thanks - wasn’t a mistake hence why they were so evasive on giving me the receipt- watch your wallets people not all thieves are pickpockets

This venue is absolutely fantastic for a thrilling, enjoyable night out. We had an incredible time, dancing on the benches, surrounded by a lively atmosphere. The entertainment was top-notch, and the staff were delightful. I genuinely couldn't recommend this place enough. Sure, it cost a bit, but let me tell you, every penny was an investment in an unforgettable memory. It was a memorable experience that left everyone in high spirits. Can't wait to do it all again!

Overall I enjoyed my experience here. Probably more like 3.5/5 but I thought 3 stars would be a bit harsh. Music was a bit naff towards the end with Grease-type music - but overall fun vibe with people running around talking to each other and having a fun time. Disappointing Experience with Terrible Food and Rude Manager I recently visited Bierkeller and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The food quality was extremely disappointing, leaving a lot to be desired. The taste, presentation, and overall quality of the dishes fell short of expectations. Michael was a very lovely guy when I went to have a few drinks he was very friendly and welcoming and he gave a very quick service too on the bar

Great atmosphere and clean toilets. The only thing that let the place down was an incredibly rude bartender. He got our order wrong. We weren't bothered at all, but the way he looked at us and spoke to us was quite a shock. I get that it was past midnight and he'd probably rather have been somewhere else but we didn't deserve that.

Really like this place but service on a Saturday night is a bit slow. They were serving customers who had just come in and not the ones that have been stood patiently at the bar. Good atmosphere, just a little understaffed

Girl in green top tonight was brilliant. I think she said her name's maize or Macy? The bar was busy busy and she was on alone but still served us all with a smile and in a timely manner. Drinks and atmosphere was brilliant! Fantastic place to drink

Great venue, (very) expensive drinks

Pretty average drinking pub/bar, drinks are on the more expensive side but they have a dance floor downstairs and pool/darts avaliable as well as sports playing on screens.

We came in early for a pint and some bar food. Server seemed nervous and I thought maybe his first day. He came as asked us to run our credit card before we saw the bill ("It wasn't quite ready"). Well, he was right it wasn't ready. Turns out he added a 20% service fee (gratuity is commonly 10% and optional) and also two pints of beer we didn't order. I think this place gets pretty wild later in evening. The men's bathroom had several broken items and the women's bathroom stalls had signs prohibiting more than one person per stall at a time. Haha...funny, but a place for 40-50 year-old crowd looking for a good pint and some brats.

This place looks like a lot of fun for younger locals. We came in early 6:00 PM for a pint and food and the server asked for payment before ringing us the printed tab. Well, the waiter added a 20% service fee (10% is customary) and added two extra beers to our tab. I am pretty sure he did it intentionally, seeing as we were tourists. Lesson learned....DO NOT let them run your credit card until you have checked the bill. Very dishonest business.

Aneesa is a good bar tender we love her

Booked for a stag do, was there for about 4 hours. There was about 30 - 45 minutes of Bierkeller German Oompah Music and the rest was just a cover band. The host who called himself 'Fat Basterd' was good. Wouldn't recommend if you want an evening of Oktoberfest style entertainment as it wasn't for the majority of it.

This place is so fun! On another night I'm sure I would have given five stars. Unfortunately we were booked to go to one of the Bavarian evenings in the basement bar, which was cancelled a week before. We decided to go anyway and they put our money behind the bar. None of the German beers were available that night (problem with the taps I think? The staff weren't very communicative) and the rugby was on which wasn't quite the vibe I'd hoped for. However, my family really enjoyed the food (nothing was marked gluten free on the menu so I'd eaten before), the cocktail steins were awesome, and once the DJ started, dancing on the benches was epic. Definitely somewhere to revisit.

Amazing night out! We went for a hen do and it was fantastic! So much fun!! Definitely recommend- the service was great and the music was brilliant! We got to stand on the benches and sing/dance. It was a brilliant night. Would recommend going for a hen/stag!! The food and drinks were great too!

Great day at the rnb brunch but very expensive

I booked the live show for a large group of friends for a leaving do. We all had an amazing night. The staff were amazing and even decorated out table for us. The compare was hilarious and got everyone involved in fun and games. Everyone around me was having a great night and I would highly recommend anyone booking the live show.

I couldn't recommend this place enough for an amazing, fun, lively night out. We had the best time, dancing on the benches and everyone was in the best mood, entertainment was amazing. The staff were lovely, the cocktails were brilliant and such a big jug. It was well worth the money. I just wish I could do it every weekend. I can't wait to go again.

What an amazing afternoon we had here watching the drag acts. It was superb. We got the bottomless brunch and they were so quick at filling uour bucket up of prosecco and beer. Lots of laughter, dancing, singing , great interaction from the queen's. Will definitely be coming again

It was busy as it was a Saturday and sports were on the large tv. There were hen parties down in the Bierkeller basement, but the garden had a drunk flasher at 4pm. Grim! Also the lack of toilet paper and then no locks on the majority of the doors is an invasion of privacy. Needs fixing.

Nice venue. Had a night out with some mates while staying in Nottingham for the weekend. Venue is modern, inviting and clean. Large open bar areas with seating available but also plenty of room to have a dance. Door and bar Staff both friendly and approachable. My one slight negative is drinks are slightly overpriced, in my opinion, but overall i would recommend this venue for a good night out
