TGI Fridays - Nottingham in Nottingham

Food was amazing, very overpriced but everything is nowadays. However, trying to order/ receive the excellent food was painful. Also, the seating was atrocious. People around us were using their phone flashlight to read as it was so dark. Thhey had also crammed everyone together even though there was other seats available, so it felt like i was eating dinner with strangers in the dark. All the staff seemed to be in a massive rush which made us feel in a rush too. We sprinted to our table and were promptly given menus then left for about 15 minutes. Our server then came to get both our drink and food order so we had sat without a drink all that time too. When she got our order there was no chatting, no customer service just a ‘what would you like? ok thanks’ starter comes all fine, we finish eating and she just swoops past and takes it. Not a ‘was it all ok?’ it was just taken from us. Finally, mains come which were beautiful, credit to the chefs. However, once more they were just plonked down no ‘any sauces for you?’ or ‘any more drinks?’ (we were both ready for another drink) and she walked off ! Finally, we’re nearly done eating she comes back to ask if everything was alright so far. we’ve basically finished! If there was something wrong i’d be sat there for 20 minutes waiting for your attention but you were too ‘busy’ to notice (there was about 12 tables in however split between the 3 servers that were on means she shouldn’t have been too busy for one of her 4 tables). I ask for the bill and I pay cash and we sat and waited there for about 5 minutes while she was stood laughing in the kitchen waiting for my change. However, she never came back to us so we just left. i think she assumed it was a tip! However, after that service it definitely was not, but we was tired of waiting. To add to this, on the bill, she had wrote her name asking us to leave her a review. So, thank you Sharayu, no wonder this place is going out of business if that’s the staff they hire.

Booked to come here for my birthday on the 7th October. When we arrived we were completely ignored and walked past atleast 3 times. The waitress then came over, apologised and said she’d be back with us. There were no more than 5 tables. We waited longer, told to wait again. Think we waited about 15 mins in the end and we just gave up and walked out. The restaurant had no atmosphere and it was cold.

Came in for bottomless brunch not realising menu completely changed! We came for the 3 dishes with brunch turns out menu has changed to only one dish! Thanks to our amazing server Henry we got our deal which we came for! Make sure to check with the restaurant about deals is what we learned today!

Food was ok, I order the Mac n cheese, quite flavourless overall and a very expensive for the meals we got. Great service however, just not the best food and pricing.

A bit slow to get served, but waitress staff very helpful and pleasant but the £14.70 for a double jack daniels and coke was extortionate i work in London and don't pay that criminal.

Didn't order food as prices were astronomical so just got a few drinks. Partners cocktails were ok but turned out my pint of Guinness come out of a can which took 2 attempts too pour. If you want to pay £6.50 for a can of Guinness... highly recommend this place.

I brought my wife here for a milestone birthday and all the staff were amazing. Shannon needs a special shout out as she went above and beyond to make the day extra special. Thank you all for the wonderful experience 👍

Honestly I feel for the staff at the moment. But this deserves to fail at the moment. More than 30 minutes to get drinks longer to order and the then nacho cheese arrived without any cheese!!! Over priced!! Weather spoons better food, better service and at 1/4 the price. They trying to survive on under 18 staff to reduce staff cost. These people don't have a clue & don't care. £25 discount and still didn't feel like it was worth it!! In short. Over priced, awful service, poor food. Sorry to see staff will be unemployed. TGI Fridays used to be a good place to go.

Lights off and left in the dark, unreasonably priced food, had nicer burgers at MacDonalds and for a fraction of the price!interior was drab and out of date, seems like reused Frankie and Benny's interior. Only saving grace is the staff who were hardworking and that the meal was discounted, 2 mains no drinks £35 is shameful especially with a discount.

Great time here had this evening. Travelling for work and saw there was availability so popped in. Sophie was great and attentative, food was excellent and all in all a great experience.

The place was quiet so very little in terms of atmosphere. The food was expensive for what you got. The waitress was really lovely, just needed to see her a little more. Don't think we'll rush back for a meal, maybe a drink sometime though.

Had great service from Kira, she was amazing and very helpful.

Worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant, if I could give 0 stars I would ! Server was absolutely shocking and couldn’t even take our drink order right( came back for confirmation 20 mins later!) We were there for an hour, after 20 mins she took our drink order and 30 mins later we had only received half of them. Asked several members of staff after 40 mins if we could put our food order in and get the rest of our drinks and they just carried on talking and we didn’t get to order. In the end we left and went to a different restaurant! I’m glad we didn’t get to order our food as I’m sure we would still be waiting ! Save your money and your time and go to a decent establishment as the servers here don’t seem to have a clue what they are doing. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!

Very bad service, official complaint going in

Went for food and a lovely night but ended up waiting over 50 Minutes and only got half our drinks and one of the drinks we didn’t even order. Ended up leaving as the service was shocking, waiters were stood around talking and our server came back to ask about the drinks because she didn’t get them all, 100% would not recommend. We also saw a few tables leave before they got drinks because they waited so long!

Nothing exceptional but all very acceptable

We were seated quickly, but from there, the experience was just pitiful. The place wasn't busy when we ordered, but food took an hour to arrive. When it arrived, it was vile. Clearly, it had been sitting under a heatlamp for longer than necessary, as the blue cheese dip had begun to burn to the edges of the dish and had curdled. All the chicken was sitting in a pool of oil and had gone dry on one side from the heatlamp. My daughters brioche hotdog bun was rock solid, which we learned was either part of a bad batch or had not been correctly stored, and the rest had been disposed of. The jacket potato skins were dry/cremated from being overcooked and then once again being left under a heat lamp. I'm not pinning the blame entirely on the staff, however. Two on the restaurant floor moving food, taking orders and getting drinks, and one person in the kitchen cooking all the orders. For the size of the restaurant, I did feel for them how poorly understaffed they were, and having worked in a kitchen, I can appreciate how challenging it is when there's no one available to run food from kitchen to the tables. It really was unfair to the staff working today. Cutting corners in the staffing budget has resulted in an abysmal experience.

Great customer service from Beth, She was happy to give recommendations and regularly checked if we were okay. Brilliant drinks and food too! Bartender was happy to make off the menu cocktails. Highly recommend the wings and chicken burger. Only negative was that it was a little bit dark inside.

Went to TGI's next to the corner house in Nottingham as was my sister's 12th Birthday. Myself, my Mum and sister all had the smashed burger which came with the house fries, with a side of Cajun onion rings which was one of the many extras to choose from. As it was her birthday, our server came to our table with a lovely balloon crown for her to wear and after our meal our server and the TGI team came out with a little cake and sang happy birthday!! The server who dealt with our order was called Izzy, she demonstrated lovely customer service. Thankyou for making her birthday extra special 🙂

Lilly was amazing!! Served us today so promptly and was so kind and friendly- she’s a credit to the team! Made 4 balloon animals for the kids and made them laugh and smile:)) The best service we have had so thank you Lilly, not a single problem.

The service here was wonderful, the worker Henry was incredibly nice and helped to the best of his ability and really nice and funny.

Came for bottomless bruch for my birthday. Shaz, our server was lovely. Cocktails amazing. Received free birthday cake, singing and a balloon hat.

Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday had bottomless brunch. Service was fast. Drinks was lovely. And they sang and gave us free cake for her birthday all staff wonderful. Thank you to shazayu our server who was amazing.

Sophie was incredible! She gave us great speedy service with a smile and was always willing to help us. Was a very busy evening but she still had so much time for us. She deserves a massive well done.

First of all LIz was amazing explained the app rewards and helped to get a free cheeky cocktail by doing so ! Food was amazing but slightly overpriced but overall staff are nice food is 10/10 check the app for rewards !

Had to wait an hour and a quarter for food. Had 3 kids with me. Food lukewarm. Pretty awful 😞

Our waitress Beth was absolutely lovely. She was very attentive and even made my little boy a fantastic sword balloon! The drinks were delicious and June Bug (which was recommended by Izzy, who I believe is the manager) was my absolute favourite. Will definitely be coming back. Thankyou :)

We went for my birthday in July. The food was really tasty . We ordered different things like ribs and chicken strips so that we could share. The staff were busy, but really nice, especially when they heard it was my birthday. We had two children under 9. They wanted come again every Saturday.

Bottomless brunch , Henry looked after us and couldn’t do enough for us . Great sever and quick drinks will be back again !

Came for a stag do. Very expensive. £25 for a burger and didn't really live up to the price as it came with chips and nothing else. Waiter dropped a burger onto the stag and just asked if he wanted a new burger. I asked him to get him a shot and instead gave him another patty on his burger. In the end I asked another waiter if we could have something for the stag because his shirt was then stained and would have to go back and get changed.

Food OK, gluten free choices are very lacking but vegan (which I am not) is plentiful. Very frustrating as we used to frequent coming for celebrations. I think, sadly this will be our last visit. Wouldn't recommend in general for the price, portion was small and I could of cooked it better at home. Such a shame, 0 atmosphere too, it used to be full of life.

Visited TGI Fridays and unfortunately it was the worst experience we have had in a TGI Fridays. I I ordered the smash burger with fries, the burger bun was soggy and fell apart and I had almost eaten the burger by the time the fries arrived. The fries were so greasy, the moment you bite into them all you can taste is the oil. My wife ordered the cobb salad without the pickled onion. It arrived with the pickled onion, no egg, the avocado was not fresh it was either guacamole or smashed avocado and the majority of it looked like 2 gem lettuces.

Service was really poor from the person that looked after us. It wasn't busy but everything took a long time even the drinks. One of our meals was wrong but we had to remind them again about 10 minutes later as the correct order still hadn't been brought out. We gave up trying to order dessert as no staff around. Portion sizes were very disappointing too but the quality was good.

The level of service in TGI is beyond compare the manager Henry is to hospitality what Jesus is to the bible!! Nothing was to much for him and his team to make my visit one of if not the best dining experience of my life I left feeling like I didn’t want to eat from anywhere else ever again. Henry isn’t a god, he is the god!!

Henry is great! Will definitely be coming back.

My first time back after about 2 years and what a difference, service was top notch, the food was beautiful and the atmosphere unreal! I definitely won't be waiting that long to come back!

Had a fabulous time meeting a friend and the service from Lilly and Dylan was top notch as they were friendly and gave good recommendations for drinks. The music and atmosphere was just what you want and it was relaxed and you can get to the bar and get served efficiently. Would come again and recommend!

Visited on a quiet Saturday lunchtime. It's very expensive for the quality of food that is served - we shared a meal between two adults. I would have been aggrieved to have paid for two adults meals. The food is distinctly average and the burger tasted very much like a frozen burger warmed in the microwave but served at a premium price. That said however, the children's meals were reasonably priced and there were no complaints forthcoming here. The individual serving staff were lovely and faultless in their attitude, however overall service seemed slow.

Food was ok, service was good. Seating area could do with a proper clean..lots of sticky surfaces with small amounts of food debris left around.

From opening up the door the service was impeccable! We had Henry as our server and he was great. Polite, humorous and was tentative to anything we needed. The food was delicious and we had the £7 lunch deal. Couldn't fault it. The portions we a surprise aswell as i wasn't expecting so much food for the price. Would highly recommend and again thanks Henry for the great service.

My friends and I came to TGIF Cornerhouse today. The drinks were amazing. Im always a huge fan of the jack daniels wings. The service was great as always!

Overly priced poor quality food... Cajun chicken pasta arrived 1 hour after ordering, it was cold, dry and not very flavoursome and for the cost of £20! I've never paid that much for a bowl of pasta in my life, even at finding dining restaurants and TGI is definitely not that!

Recently visited here for a friend’s birthday meal. Restaurant was busy but attentive staff gave the whole experience a real personal touch. The staff couldn’t do enough and the birthday girl had a great time. Food was prompt despite it being a busy Friday night. Really tasty and good value too in a world where the cost of dining has gone through the roof. I highly recommend the Wall to Wall Chicken!

There are many lovely places to eat in Nottingham, this isn’t one of them. It took us an hour to get a starter, then one of the main courses was no longer available. The burger was lukewarm. Just a horrible experience. I will not be returning!

I was really looking forward to my first time at TGI Friday but I was very disappointed unfortunately it's very over priced small portions of meat to say your paying £20 for one meal the kids eat free isn't completely free you still have to pay for their drinks and pudding and staff forgot to mention that they stopped doing puddings at 9.30 so couldn't order any the chicken was dry the hotdog bun was stale and the peas was dried up and old looking then when we got another fresh portion it wasnt cooked properly the peas was hard. I would not recommend unless you maybe get the chefs special but the meal I choose was recommended and did not live up to expectations I'm gutted I've payed £35.30 for a started and 1 adult meal and regular 2 drinks the only thing I can say was nice was the fried shrimp but that's about it :'(

Food was amazing however there was a table of 8 for a 21st birthday at this restaurant for bottomless brunch. The service was awful! We sat down after 25 minutes late that our reservation was booked for. We had to wait an extra 30 mins for our first round of drinks that was weak and hardly poured with care. The atmosphere wasn’t fitting the attire and I will not be returning⏲️

We had a server called shasayu and she was the best we had the best server she was there when we needed her and she was happyto help
