We are struggling to find restaurants which allow dogs so we are often going to Notcutts because we know that they have a dog friendly area. We live just around the corner and visit this place a lot with our dog. Please keep the area for us with dogs.

Not the friendliest of staff, but what really puts me off is all the chipped crockery, when I worked in a coffee shop it was all thrown away, really puts me off.

Short queues today. Service was efficient but not overly friendly. The iced coffee was just ok and a bowl of chips turned out to be a cup of chips which was pretty poor on the false advertising front! The decor is feeling tired here now, a revamp would not go amiss.

This is one of the worse places to eat, I went with my family today 15,2,24 The wait to get served was 30mins and when the food came out it was awful my sandwich the bread was stale. And the cheese and tomato ciabatta well if you could see the cheese you was lucky. It’s expensive for what you get very very disappointed it was all a waste of money And will not return Do not eat here eat elsewhere where you won’t be ripped off

Called in for a breakfast snack and coffee. My sausage roll was very tasty and the freshly made coffee was good. The staff were friendly and helpful and the price was very reasonable. Dogs are not allowed at the interior tables but they are welcome outside.

I was in the area visiting family for Christmas so while my husband finished working, I decided to walk our 5 year old cockapoo (Chester) to Notcutts garden centre for a general mooch and possibly breakfast. I originally read online that dogs were only permitted in the outdoor section of the restaurant and so in late December I thought a takeaway would be better. I was very impressed and surprised when the manager advised a new section had been created in the restaurant that was dog friendly. This meant I could enjoy my breakfast in the restaurant which was fabulous. As a proud dog mum, of a well behaved dog, I welcome being able to take him with me rather than leave in the car or at home so the space was brilliant- clearly marked so those who might not want to be near dogs can choose to sit elsewhere. Food was delicious too! I will definitely return!

There are two problems with this garden centre. 1. The staff are miserable 2. The queue to order food is disgraceful, huge queue, Put more staff on at lunchtimes....I am always amazed when companies do not staff money coming in....I would have thought that is what keeps them open

My partner and I visit at least once a month as their food and service is always great. I love the sausage and caramelised onion ciabatta and my partner has the egg mayo sandwich. Their chips are also probably the best in the Tunbridge Wells area.

Finally! Doggies are now welcome inside (especially important now that wet and cold weather has arrived)! Having heard of the new change, my friend and I headed up to check it out with our two pups. We were very warmly greeted and shown the area we could sit in - currently six tables near to the back of the cafe. We were told that these seats would be prioritised for guests with furry friends and the signs made it very clear to other diners that dogs would be present. As there are no other local amenities to have a warm drink on a chilly dog walk, I really hope this continues. Had a lovely chat with the boys chilling out underneath us. We will be back.

We had a lovely lunch at Notcutts and were absolutely delighted to find they now have a dog friendly area of the café inside. We have eaten here frequently and always had to sit outside and intended to do so with the dog as usual but it started to rain. We were set to go home when we saw a sign saying they have an inside section now. It is right at the back with a little “hedge” to separate from the other diners so it isn’t intrusive for non doggy people. Staff are helpful and friendly and food is excellent. This will be a go to over the winter for a look round and lunch when out with the dog. Thank you Notcutts 5*

We came this morning for a light breakfast, it was promptly served and delicious, thoroughly recommend, we brought our two well behaved dachshounds and were expecting to sit outside on the patio, only to be advised by a staff member that there was now a dog seating area inside, we were delighted as on colder and wet days we avoid coming here and go to other garden centres that have long provided such an area. Great news.

We visited Notcutts today for lunch as had heard it was good I particularly wanted the roast beef, sadly they had sold out as it was very busy. I mentioned this the Manager, Michaela as I collected the cutlery and she said she would double check. Amazingly they could offer me the roast so I gratefully switched my order The beef was so lean and tender and the roast potatoes were delicious. It was lovely Thank you Michaela and your happy team for being so helpful to me today. I really appreciated it! The butchers department next to the restaurant has some lovely cuts of meat too. We purchased fillet steaks at a very reasonable price So pleased we called in.

We went for a special birthday lunch with a guest who is very hard of hearing. A table in a quiet alcove had been booked to cater for his disability. When we arrived, on time, this table had been given to others, seriously detracting from the experience. Whilst the staff on duty were friendly and helpful, there were not enough of them; the service was slow. Apart from the main course fish, the portions were very small. This particularly applies to the thimbleful of mushy peas served to my wife. The expense of refurbishment of this restaurant was wasted. The venue is letting down the reputation of Tunbridge Wells. We will not visit again.

We have been here before - it is a nice place. The food is quite good although some of the dessert/tart portions are on the very small side . . . Lunch was fairly good - but the wine grown locally in Canterbury was beyond awful . . . Barely passed for rose let alone red. Tasted weak and insipid and quite unpleasant - and for £10 a medium size glass beyond a joke . . .

Since retiring 12 years ago, we have had many meals , good, and indifferent at National Trust properties….this was undoubtedly the best. The menu board said “Chicken, Bacon and Tarragon Stew” which almost put me off! Glad it didn’t, as it was beautiful. In fact if it had been served in a French restaurant I would have been delighted. I very well run restaurant , definitely one of the best NT ones.
