Had a walk around this nice garden centre before we decided to have a snack in the cafe as feeling peckish. I had the turkey brioche sandwich which was nice but expensive at £9.95. My partner had the cream tea at £5.95 with the scone being tasty. Also I had regular latte at £3.20. Nice place run by friendly staff which helped pass a few hours of our day.

Table set beautifully by Diane and Leah was so helpful fetching us our Christmas lunch to the table with out us having to queue up. It was extremely busy. But they made our visit very special. Leah was attentive and overwhelming kind to us. This made our visit so special. Wonderful memories made to treasure. Thankyou from the bottom of our heart

Today 13.03.22 I visited the cafe at Dukeries garden centre for breakfast. Ordered bacon and egg sandwich. How dare I ask for a knife and fork. It was pointed out that it was a bacon sandwich. I said it had an egg on and eggs can slip off the sandwich. With a face like thunder the assistance grabbed the knife from my tray and slammed down a knife and fork. She didn't have to move from her station to do it but reach less than a foot. As I asked politely I couldn't see what the issue was. The egg and bacon sandwich was lovely and YES I needed the knife AND fork. I visit this garden centre every week but sorry won't be returning to the cafe

First things first. If you decide to visit this cafe, MAKE A NOTE OF YOUR TABLE NUMBER or incur the wrath of Atilla the Hun on the cashier's desk. Why this information is not given on each table I fail to understand. Join the queue for food, order and pay. Your meal will be brought to your table, hence the need to know your table number. We had the quiche, boiled potatoes and salad. This was fine but the quiche was greasy and lacked flavour. I had a cappuchino which was hot and milky but had very little coffee flavour. The cafe was clean and the staff, with the notable exception of the aforementioned member, were very pleasant. There is only one typewrtten menu on display at the servery, which is not very helpful.

We called here for lunch and sat outside. The food was tasty, the drinks were served nice and hot and it was all good value. The selection of food was okay (not a huge selection but not exactly limited). Cakes looked amazing but we were too full to order any. One thing I found really great was the children’s picnic box. Having had a terrible experience elsewhere last week in being charged way too much for a picnic box which was quite honestly terrible; Notcutts provided something above expectations. For less than £6 you get a choice of sandwich served on soft, homemade bread, a bag of Pom-Bears or mini cheddars (your choice), a choice of fruit (we went for grapes which they had cut in half (bonus points here for extra thought/care), a small cake or jelly (again, your choice) and a drink of your choice (decent selection including fresh, organic juice). This wasn’t the cheapest picnic box we’ve ever had but was reasonably priced and by far the best we’ve had as far as healthy choices and selection. Oh, and no plastic packaging! The only criticism would be that service was slow. The lady taking orders was working quickly but at busier times having someone else helping to take orders would have been good. Also, the menus were placed at the till, it would have been better to have them placed further down the line so choices can be made whilst queuing rather than last minute at the till.

We came to the Garden centre to have a lovely Sunday trip and the it was all going fine until we entered the restaurant. The staff are rude, the coffee is cold and when our food arrived (two ciabattas and one Soup) to which we were not given any cutlery and when my sister went to get some cutlery we were only given one spoon, a fork and a knife to share between four people and they were dirty! The service here is absolutely horrible and the staff really need to be taught a few lessons in customer service.

We expected to wait in a queue to enter the restaurant and had quite a wait until a friendly waitress showed us to a safe and clean table. We then had to join another queue to order food, by the time we got to the order point, the till had broken down, meaning another wait although the girl was friendly and apologetic about it. Eventually someone came to help her put it right. Our order went in and we returned to our table with our drinks. We sat and waited again and watched people who had come in after us get their food before us. Getting wound up we thought we'd ask if our order had actually gone to the kitchen, just as it came to us. Don't know why there was such a delay but our drinks had already gone cold. The quiche had a soggy base and the new potatoes were very dry, even with butter on. It really wasn't worth the wait.

We had some lunch here at the weekend. My last experience wasn't very good, (with a prawn baguette), so this time I tried a cherry scone. It was delicious, very big, and crusty on the outside and soft in the middle.... just perfect. I had some tea with it too. It was good that they didn't charge extra for decaffeinated tea.

Called in today hoping for lunch (Saturday) 12.40. Not much going in the way of proper lunch. No meat except gammon. Which is a shame as midweek meals we've had before have been fabulous. Settled for a couple of scones which I have to say are fantastic. Large. The way, in my opinion, they should be. Just one criticism....the tiniest clotted cream and preserve you can get. Ended up having to buy another cream to spread over these very well made and fabulous scones. Bigger would be better !

Lovely large restaurant with plenty of natural light and comfy chairs. Good choices for lunch, although it was lacking in exciting options for vegetarians. Good to have access to bottles of tomato ketchup, bbq sauce and vinegar. My baguette looked delicious but unfortunately lacked flavour. Maybe a stronger sauce was needed or just more of it. Good, friendly service.

Called in over the bank holiday weekend for a bite to eat. Not as nice a meal as other times and limited options. Could have done with a small portion of salad on the plate, burger nice but not enough chips. My husband's ploughmans lunch was fantastic. Would still go again.

Unfortunately this restaurant seems to have gone down hill. There used to be a carvery a few years ago that was very nice but this is our second visit since they started serving on plates. Sunday dinner consisted of a handful of dry carrot batons, six mange tout, 2 halves of roast potato, 3 sprigs of tender stem broccoli, Yorkshire pudding, apple sauce & 3 thick slices of roast pork with gravy. I gave my Yorkshire & 1 of the roasties away as they tasted strange & the potatoes were hard/tough. The pork was also dry. Not impressed & will not have the dinner again. The dinner was the same last time too, thought it might have improved by now. The place was very busy & we had to wait for a seat so the table had not been cleared but the staff came quickly to do this. The rocky road dessert was very nice, so we had seconds! Staff were very busy but friendly. Lots of people having the breakfast (served till 11.30) this looked nice, as did the other meals on offer, so not sure why the dinner is so poor.

It is such a shame that a lovely building for a restaurant is spoilt due to high prices. The cakes on offer are mass produced oversweet and bland. They do serve sausage rolls but are as elusive as Big Foot as for the last year of visits (about 5 times) they have been 'sold out'. I have not tried the main meals as they seem expensive. I like visiting the garden centre as they have a wide variety of plants that are good quality. Take my advice and visit The Harley Cafe next door, the food is excellent and the service is spot on.

better late than never, whilst driving down to p/borough for my yearly visit for truckfest, i decided to take a break for lunch at flos, but i had booked in advance via facebook messenger due to current climate with COVID 19,& with truckfest being 4months later than normal. anyway i followed the cafes social distancing rules and waited and then shown to my table which was reserved and near the door,& within minutes, i was served & i decided to order sausage egg chips & beans & coffee and b'n'b, & once again flos food hit the spot and all for the cost of £6, beat that "MOTO" & welcome break. well done to both members of staff at flos under current circumstances. will visit again without doubt . keep up the good work.

We came here for a carvery meal which was good except for the amount of meat we were given which was tiny, half a slice of turkey and half a slice of beef, we had expected a bit more. We went to order a dessert but had run out of our choices so we didn't bother.

Cannot fault the food. But cleanliness is missing. The seats are food stained and filthy. Some seat are far too low for the tables. The toilet cleanliness is by far the worst I have ever ever seen. Absolutely disgusting. Not sure I'll return until I hear it's rectified.
