I went to celebrate my birthday with friends and we had the Festive Cream Tea. I had booked a time previously. When we got there a table was all ready for us in front of the Xmas tree, hot drinks came promptly followed by the freshly prepared cream tea. It was absolutely delicious! The amount of food was perfect and not too sweet! We had a lovely time and weren’t made to feel rushed at all. I regularly have lunch here, the staff are friendly and food nicely prepared.

Took my nephew to feed the fish and have lunch. My mum and I had the chicken, asparagus and leek pie with new potatoes and it was lovely. Good portion size, well cooked and very tasty. My nephew had the pizza soldiers although it wasn’t cut into soldiers this time, he still enjoyed it.

Disappointing visit - in the queue just before 10am - elderly lady in front of us who was understandably taking her time. Asked if the cafe was willing to serve us breakfast at 10:02 and told stopped serving at 10am. Whilst I appreciate there is a time limit I’m sure two minutes could have been allowed for.

No chicken and lemon salad available with no explanation. Queue at counter which was slow . . . When food arrived it was presented well, however, there was an overload of black pepper in both the Potato/leek soup and the jacket potato coleslaw… this was not palatable and returned. New, different soup and jacket was delivered quickly with no issues. Customer service was very good.

Nice cafe in garden centre close to airfield. Hard to find any faults. Good range of meals or simply a place to meet for a coffee and natter to relatives and friends. Staff are pleasant especially an Afro-Caribbean young man who goes out of his way to be welcoming and efficient. Garden centre has good range plants, gardening gear plus clothes, furniture and a lot more.

Great service by two very friendly members of staff. Sausage rolls were very tasty and the iced coffees perfect on a warm day.

There is a varied menu and plenty of choices. Always asked for allergies which shows the staff are efficient and organised. The food is well presented and has a homely feel. The sandwiches and jacket potatoes are delicious as are the main dishes. I’ve been here for breakfast which is cooked to a high standard. The staff are incredibly polite and always welcoming. They are very friendly and unlike some eating places, queues are kept to a minimum due to the efficient running. I particularly like the way tables are cleared and cleaned straightaway adding to the overall high standard.

We love visiting Notcutts. They're a friendly team, welcoming and efficient. They have a consistent high standard with their drinks & food, from breakfast, through lunch, afternoon teas & dinners. The restaurant is clean & tidy. The only fault, if you can call it that, is the soft furnishings. The chairs are stained because of customers mishaps, however they are comfortable to sit on.

My Mum & I have breakfast here most Saturdays & have always had professional, courteous & more than anything, an enjoyable time. The staff are a pleasure to see each week & the food is tasty & reasonably priced. The scones are especially tasty. Waitrose & Mark's & Spencer should take note on what they ought to be like!

Visited with a relative. Ordered cauliflower cheese dish with crumb topping for them. Totally bland. Minute amount of cheese, cauliflower rock hard and no seasoning. Unable to eat. Staff did not offer anything else so wasted £13. Cakes look unappetising however the coffee is good. Definitely would not waste my money again.

Light and airy restaurant as part of mostly good comprehensive garden centre. Perhaps a bit over priced for what's served. Large taste-free and disappointing Spanish omelette with large tasty chips and some salad. Pleasant and helpful woman on till. Very quiet lunchtime but, although no other customers, it took 20 mins for meals to be served to us three. Seemed good for hygiene but few wore masks in centre. Maybe more popular to just call in for coffees and a natter with friends. We also noticed that although listed as being in Lacey Green it's a few miles away by the Booker airfield and close to Cressex trading estate, High Wycombe.

Firstly, this isn't in Lacey Green at all, it's in Booker. Neither is it in the old cottage, it used to be but hasn't been for many years. It's clean and bright and the food is quite good but expensive for what it is, nearly £8 for a sandwich. Also, I wish these places would grasp the fact that people who want non-dairy generally don't want soya milk, please offer us oat milk, it is the most popular non dairy milk.

Stopped there today for soup and a sandwich waited an hour. Wasn’t busy. We complained and asked for our money back which they said they would and then said “your food is coming now”.....20 minutes later it arrived. An elderly lady cooking, a pleasant lady at the till and some bloke poncing around chatting up the ladies and on his phone!! Won’t go again

Lunch visited for two. There was a queue of about 4 at the cash desk but it took ages to move. Someone seemed stuck at the desk so that was it. Ham egg and chips. Great chips! All in all, food was good. Value for money ~ OK ish. My wife had jacket potato and said it was good. Seating and restaurant area recently done up and not bad.

Excellent tasty food once you got it but the 45min - 1hour wait was a very long time for such a small cafe. Also serving staff not very flexible if the toll says no. Much better service during the week to weekends.

Stopped off for breakfast for two, we had the Gardners Breakfast, it was a little expensive at £7.50 each, but with the Nottcutts members scheme, 2 for 1, it made it an amazing breakfast, the sausages were lovely, I asked for soft cooked fried eggs & they were perfect. The staff were very polite, friendly & helpful. Would we return = YES.

I went to Notcutts and had afternoon tea with my mum and dad. We loved it, there was a lovely selection of savoury items. The sandwiches had an ample amount of fillings in thick bread. The scones were fresh from the oven that morning. We were presented with a yummy selection of cakes, macaroons and mini puddings. All of which filled us up and went down beautifully with a pot of tea each.

Although the food was expensive, it was convenient being located in the garden centre and, unlike other reviewers, we didn't have to wait too long. Drinks arrived promptly and cups were clean. When it arrived, the chicken, ham and cheese club baguettes were tasty enough, but the few chips on the side were soft with grease. The young lady on the till was friendly and polite and, although the food was ok, I probably wouldn't go back if I had other nearby options.

Stopped for a snack and ordered two butternut squash soups. Asked if we could get this quickly were told yes but 10-15 minutes later nothing. My wife asked if it was coming and shortly after in arrived with a member of the kitchen staff who made a sarcastic comment about having to prepare it! Not good customer relations. Soup however was very good.

Tried this cafe in the garden centre for a light lunch. The end result was very tasty but the wait for food was over half an hour, even for a sandwich. Plenty of customers were getting quite annoyed by this which made the atmosphere a bit tense. Not sure I would return.

Four of us from out of area dropped into this pub for lunch. We sat in the garden as the weather weather was good. We ordered food and this was brought out to us. The food was tasty and well priced. When I went back in to order post lunch tea and coffee I reminded them of our table number but was told very sharply "you have to take them out yourself. We don't bring drinks out." I had to ask for a tray (4 drinks). When a lady came to clear the table I said "can I say something". She said aggressively "you can say what you want". I expressed the view that asking a customer to carry 4 hot drinks outside, including opening a heavy door, was dangerous and had I spilt some and scalded myself this would have been a problem for all concerned. This was said in a calm manner - no shouting, no bad language. She said "I'll get the manager - I don't like being spoken to like that". Another lady arrived, apparently the manager, and asked what was the problem. I told her. She said they don't have the staff to bring drinks outside. The customer must do it. This lady was scruffy, rude and totally uncompromising. She eventually said sorry through gritted teeth. I do not expect such rude and appalling treatment. Eat indoors if you want to stay safe and not be insulted.

Caribbean curry needed to be returned to kitchen as it arrived tepid, and it was very bland - not at all fruity or spicy as described on menu. In addition to this, l left with a very sticky sleeve and underside of trainers where a spill hadn’t been hadn’t been cleaned properly.

Arrived at the premier inn to stay away for work, went to the brewers fayre. I walked in and was told they have a limited menu due to shortages of food. Wasn't given a menu of the limited menu even just habit of a4/a5 bit of paper so we could see what was on offer. We then sat for around 15-20 minutes before someone came over to ask for drinks and they only came over because we prompted to do so. After drinks and food was ordered drinks turned up a further 15 minutes later and again I had to go to the bar to get it. If the restaurant was busy I would understand however it was empty. I ordered the big stack burger and it came out scorched with the tiniest dollop of sauce in the burger. The second night we weren't greeted at the door we had to wait 10 -15 minutes before someone came and took us to our seats. Overall not great, which is a shame as I have eaten at brewers fayre before and it's really good service and food. So I'm putting this experience to a "bad week".

Lovely setting, food not bad either. Staff are very friendly. Setting is pleasant. However, when I went there were some idiots swearing too much for my liking. Not making it suitable for couples or families. Pity, I'm sure it's just a one off though. I would take my gf here on another day.
