Always liked this place but had a very disappointing meal. Rosti bowl was soggy, an egg and avocado with no seasoning. It was hardly filling and pretty tasteless. With a coffee and tip this came to almost £18. Just too much to pay these days for poor quality food. Shame but I won't be returning.

Had the pleasure of having a light lunch here, and what a great experience it was. The decor inside is quirky but comfortable and relaxing. And the staff were all so cheerful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The food and drink were of a very high quality, freshly made, and tasted Fantastic. What a great place for a little chill out! Had lunch here today and although we waited over 40 minutes because our order got lost we didn’t care!! We sat in the shade outside listening to a young busker. The owner offered us a drink on the house because we waited and a slice of cake too! We really weren’t bothered about the wait because it was so worth it! My scotch egg was cooked to perfection and my friend had the bacon and scrambled eggs bagel. Yum yum! I took my cake home and I’ve just eaten it, oh my! That has to be the best cake I’ve had in ages! Tiramisu cake! Out of this world! Service was all with a smile, staff were very polite and the place was clean. Perfect. Definitely be back ☺️☺️

Usually visit for coffee but thought we'd try the food out. Staff insisted on making us wait by the door in the way of everyone else whilst they wiped a table. After seating us we ordered at the till and coffees and food arrived reasonably quickly. However for the price you don't get much food on your plate at all and ingredients are pretty basic, if well cooked. Over £30 for lunch and coffees for two seemed very steep to say it was nothing special and my husband left hungry. The real issue was after insisting on seating us themselves, before we'd even finished our coffees, they made us move so they could push tables together for a party of four. We will not we returning, I'm sure Bury has plenty of other places for lunch that offer a better deal and customer service.

We drove up from Essex yesterday, like we do every year for a girlie pre-Christmas day out… and we stopped here as our first port of call for our lunch. And it now definitely did not disappoint! After just a short wait (very well worth it) we were seated to our table near the window looking out to the Abbey. While we had been waiting a lovely, lovely waitress offered us menus to browse, and she made my day when she told me the soup of the day was potato and leek (I was very excited lol) My daughter and bestfriend both had the salmon and cream cheese bagel (both saying was the best they’ve ever had) and my soup was sublime 👌🏻 And our hot chocolates were also super delicious! 10/10 for service, atmosphere, food, drink… everything! You all gave us the absolute PERFECT start to our day out with full/warm tummies and happy hearts. So thank you so much. Christmas Wishes sent to you all, from Julie, Gemma & Karen xxx

Visited here recently, the prices were extortionate. You get very small portions with extremely bland food charged at a very high price. A bagel, with eggs and salmon was £10.50 (without a drink) and tasted like it was cooked without ANY flavour or even salt for that matter. Coffee was also overpriced like the rest of the menu and on top of this staff could’ve been more polite. If the prices are going to be this high, it would be acceptable if the food tasted good. I don’t normally write reviews, but this was truly disappointing. Nothing personal to the company or those that work there, but considering money is tight amongst the British public, it really did feel a waste.

We met here for family brunch on Sunday as it’s a handy midpoint for us all. We were a bit apprehensive as we were a large group and it was our first visit, but there was no need to worry. The lovely Tania made us feel immediately welcome, finding a table big enough for us all and taking the time to explain the menu, as well as letting us taste the hollaindaise sauce before we committed to ordering it (it was delicious, light and airy). The food was all brought out together and tasted like it had been prepared with a little sprinkle of love and high-quality ingredients. I was impressed with one more thing: once we had finished we were not rushed or made to feel like we needed to vacate the table. We were left to chat and enjoying catching up, without any pressure to purchase further food or drink (though we did order cakes…they too were delectable). Thank you Tania, for making us so welcome :0)
