Cafe 33 in St Edmundsbury

This was my second visit and in my opinion it is a good Caff. Service is very pleasant. Food is really tasty and freshly cooked Everywhere; kitchen, dining area and tolets are all clean What more to ask for?

The food was amazing as always. The cafe is always clean, staff helpful and friendly.

Came across this little gem on a bike ride. Hot fresh food and an indoor space to warm up!! Nice tea and coffee and nice bunch of bikes and bikers there!!

A little restaurant, with nice food. On the edge of the road, it's great for a quick stop, break, and go.

1st visit....pleasant staff....long wait for a fish finger sandwich, and when it came the bread had not been buttered, is this a usual practice or an oversight.....Plus point thou... Stokes tomato ketchup.

Great friendly service, an amazing cheese & pickle toastie, plus a tuna mayonnaise sandwich followed by quality iced coffee 😃

Lovely friendly staff and clean tables, food excellent would come again

Great value and “greasy spoon” vibe.

We used to come here almost every week until the standards of food dropped. Gave it a miss for a while and went back once to see if it had improved, but alas no! Had to call in again due to time constraints making elsewhere too much of a rush. Again, as always, the bacon is clearly old. Cooked too early and left too long then, after reheating, is presented on a plate to the customer, like a dry chamois leather. The chopped tinned tomatoes…. I love tinned tomatoes, but I’m sure the reason they use chopped tomatoes, is so they can give as smaller portion as possible. I would say the portion I received was less than one whole tomato. Fried eggs are cooked until hard. Having said all this, the beans were fine but then who can mess baked beans up? My partners eggs and bacon were no better, hard egg and chamois leather bacon. On this occasion, there were a lot of bikers there (I’m one of them), but they weren’t eating, but all outside drinking tea and coffee, I wonder why? The café itself is where bikers meat regularly, but there’s nothing at all to indicate it’s biker friendly, not one single picture on any wall with a motorcycle. Lastly, before I make this my last rant as won’t be bothering to visit again anytime soon, knowing bikers on two wheels visit frequently, it would be good if the management considered filling in some of the potholes in the car park as riding over them is so difficult but also hard to avoid.

Great food, great stuff well worth a visit

Nice roadside cafe. Had the regular breakfast and it was good. Parking out front with some outside seating too.

They place is really hit or miss. Sometimes the food can be overcooked but typically its very good. Cakes are overpriced paying £2.60 for a cookie. They charge you for sauce if you want take away but its free if you eat in. The service isn't great. Some of the ladies are lovely but the others dont care. You can call up an order 20 minutes or an hour before hand and 9 times out of 10 your waiting 20 minutes for it anyway. Ive called up before and they sold my order making me wait 30 minutes to cook mine again. They can often get things wrong. Missing hash browns yet charging £1 per. Today i asked for a bap, ended up with a roll with brown sauce i never asked for. So all in all the hot food is a good price but it really can be hit or miss.

The service here was amazing. Not to mention the delicious mocha I was served. Overall a good atmosphere and good people. Will definitely be visiting here again!

In our group one person had a fried breakfast with poached eggs, one with fried breakfast. The others all had a small item. It is 11.40am. It appears that unless it's deep fried you will struggle here. They should change the menu accordingly

Generally full of bikers, both in leather and Lycra as a convenient stop during a ride. Friendly service and decent prices, good place if you want something fried. Portion sizes are good and ingredients seem to be bought against a price - there’s not going to be any Michelin stars here but it’s handy for a breakfast bap with some mates.

Top price for average food. Everything is deep fried, I could wring the oil out of the fried bread, sausages and bacon. Chap serving on the counter needs to cheer up a bit as well, he’s not at a wake!!

Friendly staff and good coffee this little cafe just gets better and better best breakfast in the area and good quality ingredients used. No corners cut with cheap sausages and bacon but great tasting items used . Now been using this cafe for several years and the quality never changes, always good well cooked food and definitely no cheap tasteless catering products used here

Excellent café. Proper fry up - excellently cooked, good quick service and excellent value. Great roads riding there too.

Awesome cafe. We stopped there this morning (large group of cyclists) and had drinks and food. The tea was great (I asked for another teabag) and the Bacon and Egg Bap was enormous. Lovely bacon too. Too much for me, but awesome value. Thanks.

Had a great breakfast while riding with mates. Met a ginger cat in the car park that seemed quite affectionate. Only gripe is the car park could do with a resurface, it's been like this for ages.

Great food great service friendly staff

Been here a lot of times but recently seems to be getting worse! food is pretty good but Time management is very bad ! You will be told to wait 15 mins which always seems to turn into half hour 40 mins , prices have gone up and they even charge 20p for a squirt of sauce ! Much better places around to eat and very limited parking 5/10

Lovely jubbly. Had a great fry up with a cup of tea. The sausages in particular were great, makes a big difference.

Fine nothing out of the ordinary

Went here for a quick bite to eat while on a motorcycle ride. The bacon bap was tasty (3 slices of thick bacon). I've previously had the all-day breakfast and that doesn't disappoint either. The staff are pleasant and the service is prompt, plus Cafe 33 is well-situated for a pleasant ride around Suffolk.

We ride out here on the odd weekend, it's become a favoured stop for bikers so the vibe is always good. Food is top notch (i recommend the breakfast bap), staff are always friendly. Addition: Today's visit was very disappointing! Asked for no tomatoes on my breakfast, and it came out with tinned tomatoes on it. I mentioned this,and all that was done was the offending red nastiness was scrapped off, but the juice had already covered some of the other stuff on the plate. Asked for a tea with the food and didn't get it till after. Food was supposed to come with fried slice... didn't get it. Suppose they can't be great all the time.

This is a great bikers cafe, perfect for our break yesterday whilst riding back to Norfolk from Finchingfield. We only purchased drinks but they were superbly priced at £1.50each. Lots of parking and inside/outside seating. Of you are in the area, do stop by 👍

100 miles to get here and well worth it

I really like this place. It is a frequent place where I go to about 3 times a month. There is a really homey vibe going on here. The staff are always very polite and don't rush you out the door once you have finished your food. A lot of the customers are bikers or people who have been visiting the nearby prison. You really never know how busy the cafe will be but that is the joy of this place. Also where I live there aren' t many cafes anyway(more of a chain coffee shop thing going on) . Well worth the visit, the price is good for the dishes on the menu. I'll be looking forward to my next visit there. Well done everyone.

First visit and definitely not the last. Excellent choice and food very hot with excellent service

Food wasn’t great. Edible at best but you could tell it was all cheap stuff. Breakfast was swimming in what looked like half a tin of cheap chopped tomatoes and cold beans. Couple of bits of bacon burnt to a crisp, overcooked egg and a slice of thin cold toast. Really not worth the prices charged, no care taken over what they are serving you. Wouldn’t go back

My wife and I stopped here for lunch as the mid point of a motorbike ride loop on Sunday. We decided to eat inside as it was a little chilly outside despite being a sunny day. The place was busy as usual with motorbikers. The ordering system caught me out. Normally I eat outside so go in to the small counter area by the kitchen, order there and get a number and they bring the food out once it's ready but thought that inside the cafe you ordered at the counter or a waitress came to your table to take your order. Nope, you go to the counter where the takeaways are ordered and place your order there, take your number ticket and sit at your table and they bring the drinks out along with the food unless you ask for the drinks to be served sooner. As usual the breakfast bap was huge and the ham, egg and chips had plenty of ham but, as the picture shows, the chips had clearly been in the fryer for quite a while as they were crispy and fatty. Not up to the usual standard. Price wise it is a bit expensive even though the portions are big but being where they are they have the benefit of monopoly but the disadvantage of remoteness and need to make their money somehow. Will we go there again, DEFINITELY

It's an OK place for a bike meet up

Breakfast disappointing, bacon covered in grease and lots of black bits as though griddle had not been cleaned for ages. Won't be rushing back

If you like motorcycles and great coffee this is the place to drawl over the amazing displays on sale.

We've stopped here a few times for breakfast and lunch. They serve the biggest sausage baps I've ever seen!!! I couldn't finish it! The food is lovely, reasonably priced, warm and welcoming and I would highly recommend.

A lovely cafe, Debbie and her team are so friendly - they can't do enough for you. The full english is fabulous, and so is the breakfast sandwich (sausage, egg and bacon) and the bacon sandwich. Everything is high quality including the coffee which would put a few of those chi-chi fancy coffee places to shame.

Really friendly staff gave a warm welcome when I stopped in with a friend during a motorcycle ride on a cold November day. Nice warm mug of tea and hearty food was just what we needee

A great spot for a spot of food and stretch the legs..food is absolutely perfect and a cup of tea is proper...a busy car park but another space for several bikes..good service seats in or outside, some covered so everything is perfect as a spot for a break.

Food was tasty. Had a mix up with our order and took a while to come out to us but staff were lovely. Apologised for the wait and offered us a piece of cake. Definitely going back.

Wow, large menu choices and combinations. Amazing service, food hot and very tasty. I absolutely Love a Full english Breakfast. Tea was decent also. Service was fast. You go in the door around on left side of building, the eating part is connected out the same door and back into a central area. Parking, toilets and wifi also options if you need them. They take card payments and cash. They do take away as well. Popular with a few tradies on the road during my visit. Very recommended. Hours open are also great for a weiry person following a busy night shift. Thank you x Will definately come back again. One photo is their large breakfast, the other is their vegetarian breakfast. Breakfast bap - one of the best I've ever had. Well worth a visit. The food is spot on. Be prepared to wait many moon cycles for the food to be ready,,, but - what you get is worth it . If I had to pick on something ,, I'd say the rolls are completely tasteless,, but as a whole,,, great bap.

Super friendly staff great coffee. Motorcycle friendly. Only negative thing is you only got one slice of bread and butter with a regular size breakfast. Apart from that excellent food. Will definitely visit again.

I have been to this Cafe several times now and I have always found the staff to be very courteous. My recent visit was the other week with a mate Stephen Parker who I see has already left his compliments. Steve is very fussy so to give praise is high indeed. I look forward to my next visit in the near future. A great place to eat, car park can be a bit tight, even for a motorcycle but that does not detract from the place itself. Well done girls, nice one, and reasonably priced as well, can’t say more than that..

Well all I can say this is probably the best lil find if your ever traveling from say Haverhill to Bury St Edmonds or from anywhere else that route that happens to go past café 33 as there food is impeccably great so yes from my point of view I'd highly recommend taking your time out to pull into the car park outside go in and see for yourself and order some good tasting food okay.

Ridiculous unnecessary covid control's spoilt everything. Thought we were supposed to be "living with it". Food wasn't that great and ambience needs improvement. Wont be going back.

Good bacon sandwich and coffee. Maybe bacon a bit hotter would have been nicer but was quickly served and enjoyed.
