Have been back three times since it reopened with the new menu. The pork Gyro was delicious, with the oregano fries. The new coffee brand is a welcome addition and has a very nice flavour. For breakfast, the breakfast bagel cannot be missed! Throughly recommended for that grab and go experience

The food is incredible, fresh, flavoursome and really good value! Super busy on a weekend morning but they’ll always find a space and I can guarantee you won’t regret it if you have to wait 10 mins for a table! Love this place, can’t wait for the pandemic to be over so we can come back to our fav breakfast haunt!! The Dirty Fries are also a must - mmm mmm!

We were staying nearby and spotted Nico's as a place to go for breakfast. We were not disappointed! We had breakfast rolls here three mornings in a row and they were amazing. The staff were lovely and the cafe itself was clean and warm. I would recommend.

We’ve been using Nico’s for many years for breakfast, which is always fantastic. I always love the look of the various specials on offer but sadly, they’re normally sold out before I can get there on a Saturday. However, on this occasion the wings & fries we available so we jumped at the chance to try them! They were delicious. A perfect balance of the spicy wings and the cool salsa. If only they were a regular menu item and not a special... Nico’s is definitely worth a visit. You’ll not regret it.

My son has been a regular here for a long time and kept wanting to treat Mum and Dad to “A Nicos”. Well today, we eventually relented and so glad we did. Three of us had the “Full English” and one had the “Small English”. Well, I have to say, the food was absolutely top class. Fresh, hot and plenty of it. We now want to go back and try the vast array of other items on offer!

Popped in to Nico’s for my first time with my brother, who regularly visits. Decided on a breakfast wrap (sausage, bacon, hash browns and beans in a wrap) - one item on a great menu with plenty of choice! Brother went for a BBQ chicken baguette. There’s a real mix of rolls, wraps and baguettes to take away or eat in, as well as some super sit down breakfasts. Cakes and pastries look very tempting. I was also interested in the ‘dirty fries’ and the Greek special that day. The food is cooked fresh, served hot and tasted great. This does mean a few minutes of waiting but it is more than worth it. The team are friendly, the place is clean and feels inviting. Value for money is also excellent. Would definitely recommend!

Ate twice in three days here. My wife and I had vegetarian breakfasts (including amendments to regular meals where we had substitute veggie options) and found them to be very tasty, lovingly presented and delicious and very filling to eat. If you want a breakfast for a large appetite then look no further! The staff were helpful and efficient and we shall have no hesitation in eating here again next time we are in Horndean.

We come here a lot, individually, with work colleagues, as a family. It's always been great, though it's also improved over time too. Nicos has worked hard to strive for great standards, it switches it's pace up and the staff are ace. So lucky to have this as a local business. Looking for great food and excellent value for money? Can highly recommend!

We are regulars of Nico’s for breakfast on a Saturday and highly recommend it. The menu for breakfast is fabulous with the regulars such as a full English as well as more unusual choices such as a Mediterranean breakfast with halloumi, chorizo and salsa, a sourdough breakfast sandwich and a Croqué Señorita. The food is cooked to order, plentiful and delicious.

Visited here today for breakfast. Arrived about 9 am, which seemed perfect timing as it seemed to get quite busy after. The hot chocolate was sooo nice and creamy. The breakfast was spot on. Cooked perfect. The only thing was the lady with blonde hair....she has no customer service skills, came across quite rude and almost that we was in her way and an inconvenience to her. Shame as she lets Nico's down.

Visited this bakery with my toddler, paid and waitied for our order for quite a while. My toddler expressed the need to use the facilities, which were out of service. I asked if there was a toilet for my toddler, straight answer of No! To which I was shocked, left to use a toilet in a nearby pub. Thank you to the Nicos staff for being so inconsiderate, I certainly won't be coming back. I'd rather visit the friendlier cafe across the road!

Nico's took over from the original "old' Main Bakery. It was great that another 'baker' took over the old bakery which was a real historic mainstay of the village of Horndean.Lots of delicious treats and lunch items. Crusty and soft breads and rolls with the option of many choices of filling - a treat not to have to make your own lunch! The fillings and salad items look fresh and tempting. The ones I have tried have always been lovely with plenty of filling provided.Facilities are clean and tidy - staff are always friendly. You can take out or eat in - there is also a good menu of hot food for eating in. Nico also has another 'deli' a few miles along the road in Cowplain (called Nico's Deli funnily enough!). This offers the same freshly baked rolls / breads / parties and a good hot food menu to eat in.Because it is on the corner of the village roundabout, you do need to park and cross over. Be careful, there is traffic coming from all angles. Its easiest to park (free) in the front car park of the village pub (The Red Lion) and cross over.Prices are very reasonable... I can't think of ANY reason at all why you wouldn't want to pop in here for a bite to eat!

THE GOOD: have previously enjoyed a huge and tasy breakfast bap at the on-site cafe and feasted on various takeaway sweet treats (millionaire shortbread etc)THE BAD: being a fan of viennese whirls, was very disappointed by a recent purchase - not enough jam or buttercream and weird texture 'biscuit'THE UGLY: purchased two sausage rolls - mine tasted great - but my daughter was gagging after one mouthful of hers... thinking she was being over-dramatic I tried a bite: eeeuuuch. At some point the sausage meat filling had been contaminated - it was absolutely vile, tasting of vinegar - and neither of us has eaten one since :-(

tucked away from everywhere it's a lovely old fashioned looking bakers shop. A few tables, including one brave soul outside! But mainly a sandwich take away. Lovely long sub style rolls, my granary roll with minted lamb mayo mix and salad was just right! Also a good range of warm and hot bap and panini rolls - all made to order. Better than any Subway, that personal touch, rather than moving down a production line!

If you're looking for a cooked-to-order breakfast that is good value, this local sandwich shop/cafe on the corner of Blendworth Lane in Horndean, knocks spots off what you might get for the same money in a supermarket cafe. The standard breakfast is BIG so those with smaller appetites should opt for the small breakfast, which is quite substantial. There's a wonderful array of rolls, baguettes and paninnis too with a huge choice of fillings.

Food here is very fresh. I have a Nicos lunch roughly every 2 months. The sandwiches and baguettes are made in front of you. The deli counter displays all the types of fillings you could imagine. The staff are fast and efficient but just unfortunately don't seem to smile, which costs nothing.Would recommend sitting outside just for the Al fresco experience!Prices are very reasonable and for what you get, is very good value.Go experience a Nicos yourself sometime soon! Nico's is situated on the corner of London Road and Blendworth Lane. It's a bakery doing cooked breakfasts and baguettes, paninis, rolls, sandwiches, pastries hot and cold drinks etc. Certainly the panini I had was really fresh bread with a tasty filling. There's a few tables inside and a couple outside. Outside is a bit noisy with the traffic going by but inside is okay with large windows to see whats going by. Service is okay and reasonably priced. Visit for a sandwich etc to eat in or take away. Open early but shuts at 2pm and Closed on Sundays, (according to website info).

We stayed one night and ate in restaurant. Only had starters but food was very nice. Friendly staff member called Olly. Couldn’t have been more helpful. Good nights sleep. Then breakfast !! One male member of staff who just couldn’t be bothered. Zero customer service. Got us a hot drink but no offer of fruit juice, toast or any cereal. Glasses on table too. Hot breakfast was lovely though.
