We had our wedding at Blacknest in July and we honestly can’t fault it. We had a Tipi wedding and from start to finish every member of staff were just incredible. We had the pleasure of dealing with Vicky and Georgia and I’m sure they were stressed behind the scenes you wouldn’t know it. Nothing was too much trouble and the whole day was absolutely perfect!

The course looked really great and the lunch afterwards was brilliant. I had the chicken burger and it was one of the best I’ve had recently. It’s been great to see the course develop over the last few years and over the last year in particular it has looked amazing. The clubhouse is really smart and a friendly atmosphere. It was packed when we went in which was nice to see. Thanks guys! See you again soon

Amazing location in a very picturesque place. I didn't stay in the hotel other than attend a wedding. It was pouring down but it was beautiful inside the giant marquee. The sound of the rain drops add-in to the special occasion. The staff were amazing and the foods were yummlicious 😋

Huuuge thank you to the team at Blacknest. We initially found the process of choosing a venue for our wedding to be quite stressful. We found so many venues to be faceless and evasive with lots of hidden costs and they wouldn’t give you a straight answer, and we felt that we and our wedding would just be a number to them. This was never the case with Blacknest when from our first meeting with Vicky she was so keen to learn about us and our vision for the day and was so excited to make that happen for us. The best part was she actually meant it! All the way through our wedding it was such a relief to know that if we had any concerns we could just pop in for a chat with Vicky and that she knew us personally and knew our wedding, and this made the whole process SO much less stressful. Leading up to the day she and Georgia were always keen to keep in touch and all of our other suppliers were so impressed with how easy they were to contact and to work with. On the day itself there were a couple of issues that couldn’t have been foreseen but the whole blacknest team pulled together and we never even knew there was a problem. All of our guests commented on how fab Vicky and Georgia were and how hard they and all the team worked. The tipi itself was also absolutely beautiful and provided exactly the relaxed vibe that we were looking for. So many of our guests have commented on how much they loved it. Thank you again to all the team at Blacknest for giving us the best wedding we could ever have wished for!!

We were attending a wedding just up the road in Bentley and stayed here for two nights and i would definitely recommend it the rooms are very clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly and helpful We would definitely stay here again in the future

We have a best weekend ever. Nice food lovely service. We sleep in the tent is so conformable and romantic. We definitely go again.

I just want to thank Georgina who was on the bar yesterday at the golf club, I was a guest at the wedding and a drink was split down me. She did everything she could to get my dress dry and made sure I was okay, such a lovely person with a heart of gold x

Soggy bog even after little rain for 2 weeks. Ball lands on 'Fairway' and plugs. Should not be a course there, leave it to the geese.

We had our wedding at Blacknest in the tipi at the beginning of May. It was an amazing day and such a brilliant location. Vicky and her team have been so helpful throughout the whole planning experience. The staff on the day were equally as lovely and helpful. We were lucky enough with the weather too to be able to have our ceremony outside. The venue is an excellent blank canvas for any theme. I cannot recommend Blacknest enough. Thank you to everyone there who made our day so special

Played this course on and off over the past 20 years. Very impressed with the more recent developments to the course and club. Flat course with not too many hazards, but you’ve got to be really aware of the water that catches you out on a number of holes. In my experience the greens and course has always been very well kept and maintained to a high standard. Tried the footgolf, with family, but it was too short and not really challenging enough. Recent upgrade of driving range looks great and includes ball tracing is a pretty cool. ⛳️

We travelled to Blacknest to meet family for Sunday lunch. Our booking was for 20 people. We had to reschedule several times over the last few months due to covid, but Vicky and her events team couldn't have been any more helpful and accommodating. We eventually managed to successfully meet up yesterday for our belated Xmas get together and the food was AMAZING. I cannot find fault at all. Despite it being almost a couple of hours away from home, we will definitely be returning. Thank you to all who helped me to make our gathering happen. Everyone in the group was very complimentary about the venue/food/service.

Shocking, This is the worst golf course I have played in 25 years, Its cheap for a reason guys, The golf course needs some major improvements.

Tangent Dinner - 15 December 2021 Had a very good Christmas dinner on 15 December. The food was ample, tasted fantastic, served fast by friendly and helpful staff - altogether a thoroughly enjoyable evening with a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Went for a Christmas meal with friends.

Used the driving range, very good and it's all set up with the tracking systems. Lets you see the flight if your ball, embarrassing when you hit a wayward one..

A nice course and a good Toptracer range , new to playing golf but have thoroughly enjoyed my visits so far . Will definitely be back again .

Beautiful golf course at a reasonable price.

Wow, absolutely amazed with this place. Price for a round suits that of a municipal course, course management and upkeep reflects that of a upper middle class golf course. What a gem this place is. Played for the first time and admittedly was a little confusing following the course layout but looking forward to going back with course knowledge and really going for a great round. Played with my 80 year old grandad, who struggles with the inclines these days and he managed it fine as the course isn't too steep of a gradient. If you've never played this before then you're in for a pleasant surprise. You can't always see the green from the tee which gives this course a few challenges, and definitely makes you think about what club is best to use to play which shot to get to the green. A good player might find this course a little too easy but for begginers and average players it has everything needed to pick up the game and hone your skills. Thanks for a wonderful day!

My wife and I held our 60th Wedding Anniversary Lunch in "The Nest" The staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming. The excellent lunch was well prepared and presented. All family and friends were impressed with the venue and we will use Blacknest for any future gathering. A wonderful day and very good value.

Great course but greens are very poor

We got married in the woodland tipi at Blacknest and it was AMAZING! Hayley and the team were so helpful throughout the wedding planning process and the venue is stunning, nothing was too much and we were allowed to have everything we imagined, even down to the camping. Our guests have been raving about the day ever since, especially the food! We would definitely recommend Blacknest as a wedding venue and are looking for an excuse to have another party there very soon, thank you all so much for everything :)

Great for beginners and people just getting to grips with golf. Well looked after and a challenge

Lovely place middle of nowhere, boys playing footgolf and parents relaxing. Food was delicious. Good choice on menu. presentation was held for football awards

Really nice course in good condition. The golf was rubbish but we had a good laugh and that's what it's all about at the end of the day. Restaurant burgers were great and the beers were cold. All in it was a great day out with the boys.

Really enjoyed my round at this golf course, nice breakfast to begin with,friendly and informative staff,an interesting golf course perfect for the average player. I would definitely play here again.

Well the clubhouse is great, but the fairways should have permanent winter lie status, the bunkers have not been raked by the green staff in months, so the sand is congealed ... and I have never in 50 years of playing golf experienced greens that bad. Add to that 6 par 3s and you wonder why they bother having a golf course at all?

We went there last weekend for breakfast and i must say breakfast was delicious.If you want to enjoy a lovely view with a yum breakfast,that’s your go to place.I requested them to have a scone and they baked a fresh one for us.Lovely staff and a good cook.

Hidden Gem!!! Fantastic golf club and wonderful facilities. The food is excellent too. I am now a member of Blacknest because it is such great value for what you get.

Fun family activities (foot golf, frisbee golf) as well as the parkland 18 hole course. Beautiful setting in the Hampshire countryside away. Nice place, nice people.

Good place to get back into golf . Some good risk and reward holes

Chose Blacknest as our wedding venue prior to lockdown, the wedding got postponed once and then when we wanted to postpone again it all turned to money. Club is very money oriented, and don't care about feelings. We lost our deposit in the end just to move to a friendly venue. Every little detail we asked was more money added onto the bill and our big day wasn't taken into account. Shame as the Tipi is lovely, and it's a shame they can make money out of people having to postpone weddings

Excellent course....always a better choice to play during summer months as it gets rather boggy in the winter. Staff are extremely welcoming, and there's excellent food available if required.

Good place to take the boys for a couple hours. Small course was ok but greens not good(never seem to be) but staff are polite and decent. Pay once and go round a couple times . Sweet. And no mercy shown this time so i won......

I would like to add more but at the moment with everything that is going on we did not use all facilities but still a good day cheers

Great course. Some greens need work. But overall a lovely round. Even for a bad golfer like myself. Good track.

Well I will leave an honest review. Played today which was my first and probably last visit to the club. Course is well thought out with some interesting holes wrapping around a few ponds. Condition Greens. Were absolutely shocking had obviously been suffering from dry patch and were not watered during the dry spell last month and were in desperate need of a wetting agent. Fairways Were in great condition a few areas of damage but were well marked as GUR. TEES Again in poor condition markers being left in one place too long so badly worn in areas and very uneven. Clubhouse Food and service were excellent and would definitely recommend that part of the club.

Great experience every time we go. Only criticism is some holes need dropping a couple of inches as the lip tends to make the ball bounce off!

Like the layout of this course its just a shame they are having problems with the greens. It looks like a disease problem and hopefully they will recover soon. Would get a fourth star when they do.

Wont find much better value for money around. Very affordable and the course is I pretty good nick. Greens are a bit patchy but getting better ever day.

I recently took part in a wedding shoot at Blacknest. I thought the venue was lovely and all the staff were very friendly, helpful and very well organised. The day went very smoothly and the images from the day demonstrated how many photo opportunities there were for brides. And their gorgeous tipi wasn't even up. To have a wedding there would be magical. I think you can be reassured that your special day would run very smoothly

Blacknest Golf and Country Club is a wonderful wedding venue. Hayley, Vicky and the team are so professional, friendly, calm and kind, and their tipi and clubhouse are perfect for wedding celebrations. Their grounds are beautiful and a stunning backdrop for wedding photographs. I especially love the little wooden bridge over the water, surrounded by trees. Do not hesitate to look around Blacknest and to book them for your day. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Lovely testing golf course.Well maintained with plenty of hazards to get you thinking.Well stocked pro shop with competitive green fees.Well laid out club house and a friendly welcome. Food very good.All in all, a great place to come and play golf and relax with a drink afterwards.

Awful bug ridden place I tried to tell them about problem but was told it was my fault for leaving a window open which I hadn’t totally upset my son who couldn’t sleep. Bugs coming from behind and under the beds. Disgusting!

Thank you all for making our wedding day, a day that we will remember forever! Hayley and her team and Blacknest were amazing! They worked tirelessly and nothing was too much! The Tipi’s were the perfect location for our wedding and everything played out exactly as we wanted it too (thank you to the golfers who were so kind during our pictures!), even the sun came out to play! Having the pagoda for outside shade and haybales and sofas outside was fantastic it meant everyone was able to be comfortable whether they wanted to be inside or out. We had such a fantastic fun filled day and everyone from Blacknest made the day run perfectly. Having children at a wedding isn’t everyone’s thing, but being able to have children outside, playing garden games mean such a lot to so many of our guests. The welcome drinks flowed and allowed us to have some photos whilst our guests waited, the food was delicious and served with a smile, the rooms were lovely, the bar was well stocked and everything was just perfect! In the run up to the day Hayley responded quickly, was helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly! We have already decided we are going to come back annually for anniversary Fish & Chips! If you are looking for a venue for your wedding (or party) book Blacknest, you will not be disappointed!

Lovely setting. Seems like it needs some TLC. Greens average. Tees poor

Short course but plenty of water around to mess with your head. Greens had been hollow tined but no sand dressing seen so many bobbly putts. Most tees pock marked with divot marks so poor maintenance there. Good helpful staff and food reasonable.

We played footgolf here, the course is too short and is priced too high.

Brilliant night celebrating Jane's 60th birthday x

Can’t fault this place, staff very efficient and breakfast is fresh and nicely cooked, coffee excellent, good flat white coffee.

Went to the range and hit some balls before having a quick lunch. (Only eaten here before when having bacon bap before golf ). Food very disappointing. My son had a very bland tuna ciabatta and some fairly stale chips. I had the exact opposite of loaded potato skins. Not remotely loaded and a minute potato. Do not plan to eat here again!!!

We popped in for a late morning Sunday breakfast on the way to a local walk. Although we are both golfers (not at Blacknest), we do understand that some golf clubs can appear to non golfers as quite snooty or stiff. Blacknest is the opposite. It is very friendly, welcomes visitors, both golfing and non golfing and has a lovely clubhouse.Although cold outside, the views from the club house while we have our full English were excellent. I would highly recommend this club for either breakfast, lunch or just coffee.We will definitely be back.

I organised a Burns Charity Night at Blacknest for 170 people on 26 January 2019. The Events Manager Hayley was extremely helpful from start to finish with the planning of this event.Everyone who we had contact with was helpful and could not do enough for us.The venue was perfect with enough parking,easy access and good wash room facilities.They accommodated a lot of special requests ie. ceremonial haggis and metal plate, tartan decorations.The evening was a great success, raised a lot of money and the staff were at hand to over see the smooth running of the evening.I will definitely be using them again as a venue.Thank you Blacknest for such great service.

Fantastic service and the perfect view over the golf course, for my Mums birthday surprise. Great selection of food and plenty of tea and coffee to go round. We would 100% book in again. Great value for money.

Booked in for afternoon tea for my mum's birthday, there was 6 of us in total and it couldn't have been nicer. There was plenty of nibbles to go around, unlimited fresh tea/coffee/water (as we went with the alcohol free option). The location of our table was lovely as we were able to look out onto the golf course and enjoy the view, the atmosphere was friendly and all staff were there to offer help if neededI would 100% go back again, one of the best afternoon teas I have been too

Visited with friends and the food is good but the portions are not huge, so best for a light lunch rather than a big meal. The food is good quality and well made.

Myself and a friend visited the golf course today. Because of a problem at my end I had to ask for a change of what was booked. The reaction of the guy in the pro shop was superb. He did everything possible to make the best of the situation. I can not recommend here more. It was an absolute pleasure to be treated so well with no fuss whatsoever. I would like to thank all the staff I dealt with for their consideration, attention and friendliness.

A challenging course, lots of water and undulating greens

Very good golf course - played as part of a society day. Excellent course over some beautiful holes. Tricky in places and possibly a bit slow when busy but this is well worth a whack!

Interesting course with lots of water. Fairly short by today's standards but hard to overpower it due to the OOB on several holes and the number of water hazards around.

We recently held a 50th anniversary for our local Riding Club here in the Orangery. We had the most delicious finger buffet served by lovely, friendly efficient staff. As organiser, I dealt mainly with Amy from Archers and Trinder who was very accommodating and very efficient. We had a lovely evening! Thank you!

A great big thank you to Chris for the fantastic baking class! I was looking for a special present for my sister's birthday, and this was just the ticket, something that we could do together and also learn new baking skills.The class was very well organised, starting with Chris expertly explaining the recipes and how they worked, and the various pieces of equipment including the KitchenAids and Thermomix. Then the real fun began with 3 recipes staged so that we could learn each skill, and whilst the first treats were baking we had time to whip up the next treat, ending with a cake decorating session at the end; chocolate muffins with meringue topping, a classic victoria sponge (perfectly flat for icing!) and macarons. Chris even altered one of the recipes to suit a dietary requirement, resulting in a fabulous peanut butter and chocolate filling for the macarons! We had an amazing time, learnt so many new useful skills, and there was so much cake to eat and take home afterwards, we luckily had many willing friends and family to help us get through it all! Highly recommended for a fun afternoon!

You made our wedding reception simply fantasticThe Woodland Tipi is superb, my bridal party added the finishing touches the day before and then the team did the rest... games, outdoor seating, beautiful tables, twinkly lights and a fire pit for the evening. Then THE FOOD!!! We opted for a Spanish tapas style food bowls and there certainly wasn’t any left , accompanied by rose wine and sangria . For entertainment we went for an acoustic guitarist in the day (AMAZING FESTIVAL VIBES) and a banging Dj to carry on the partying well into the early morning. THANK YOU TO THE WHOLE ARCHERS AND TRINDER/BLACKNEST TEAM!! Love Mr and Mrs Mace

I know the golf is great, what I did not know was that Blacknest is now much more than a golf club! It is now on our lists of great local places to come for a treat eat. R of course settled for a breakfast, as it was a little later in the day I picked a sandwich and a piggy bowl of fries.The Clubhouse Breakfast was good and a generous serving, R enjoyed the sausages and eggs were good and fresh. Served with toast it was a good treat and he says we have a new place to add to local breakfast places. My ham and coleslaw sandwich was a delight, GOOD ham, not thin cut stuff, but filling slices of real ham, the slaw was good and it was accompanied by leaves, crisps and a side of slaw as well. The skinny fries with paprika salt was a good choice, if a little piggy. To be honest R helped on that! I think next time we may have a sandwich each and share a fries. They have a good choice of fillings - we noticed a lot of golfers having the Golfers Baps and they looked a good start to a day. A special mention for the staff, great service, well presented, polite and caring. A great strength for any place.The setting is delightful, we love the patio, big umbrellas shade you if you wish or you can chose a sunny spot if like me you just love to sit in the sun. Great relaxed spot far away from the rushing world. Inside is a great clubhouse with formal and more relaxed spaces for dining. Thanks Blacknest for a lovely visit - we will see you again.

18 holes at this great golf club, greens, fairways were all in great condition The only issue is that the sand traps are rock solid, sand needs to be better

Really nice course but our round was spoiled by a three ball and a four who were very slow and refused to let us a two ball through after a few words were exchanged me and my mate walked off at the 7th tee back to the club house where we told what had happened to the owner and he gave us a voucher for a free round . Some people have no knowledge of the rules of golf idiots

We came on Saturday afternoon to play 18 holes with our son and enjoyed the Blacknest experience so much that we brought our friends and their children back on Sunday to use the driving range and putting green! From the moment we arrived in the Pro shop, we felt welcomed. The golf course is well maintained with some tricky holes over water which makes it really picturesque and challenging. The pace of play was good and we enjoyed a drink in the homely bar afterwards. We will definitely be back again and will spread the word to other golfers who are looking for a family friendly club where juniors are welcome.

A truly beautiful golf course. Challenging holes, very relaxed feel. Very fast greens. We all thoroughly enjoyed our matches. Food afterwards was gorgeous, plenty of choice. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. All staff were very friendly. All in all a truly amazing day and I will definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommend. Thank you Blacknest for a great day.

Great round had. Course in good shape and whether was good.

I have visited Blacknest a few times over the past year or so. First came to a children's foot golf party and was very impressed with the party package that was offered to the children. I have been using the driving range recently and the staff are very friendly and accommodating . Free club hire and it's only £6.00 for 100 balls. The location is idyllic and peaceful . The café serves amazing food and very reasonably priced. I haven't played on the course yet as my golfing skills are not there yet but I have heard great things about it from other members. If you are a beginner (like myself) and want to join a friendly family orientated club this is the one for you .

If your looking for a venue for your society day, look no further !Blacknest golf club could not have done anymore for us, we had 24 players who all thought the whole day was excellent, from bacon rolls to 18 holes to evening meal, nothing to fault. Staff attitude was great, they all made us feel totally comfortable, highly recommend this club, thanks Blacknest.
