New Jumbo in Portsmouth

Nos encanta tanto esta comida para llevar que a veces todavía manejamos allí desde Waterlooville para obtener nuestra comida después de alejarnos de Cosham. Las costillas de sal y chile son particularmente deliciosas y el personal es excelente.

Hemos estado yendo a esta excelente comida para llevar durante unos 30 años y nunca decepciona. Excelente comida si prefiere carne, pescado o vegetariana. El servicio también es rápido.

Tuvimos una comida para llevar esta semana. Pedimos 3 platos de pollo diferentes y cada uno de ellos era asqueroso. El pollo tiene un sabor gomoso y como tripa sin sabor, reconstituida. El arroz era como el plástico y las bolitas de pollo estaban recocidas. Esperamos una hora para la entrega también. Definitivamente no volveremos a ordenar desde aquí.

Ha pedido desde antes, pero sus comidas no son tan buenas como solían ser. Pollo al curry y patatas fritas recientemente ordenados, tortilla de champiñones y patatas fritas, pollo frito con arroz y salsa de barbacoa. Salsa al curry no muy sabrosa y delgada. Los chips parecían tan malos como sabían. Tortilla más pequeña que solía ser, gomosa y bastante insípida. El arroz frito con pollo a veces está bien, pero a menudo un poco seco, por lo que pedí una salsa también. La salsa de barbacoa era oscura y realmente dulce.

Cuando pedimos, el personal era agradable. Educado y sonriente, que era bueno. Comida tardaron unos 5 minutos. Llegamos a la casa para encontrar el arroz estaba seco, el bateador era gris y la salsa dulce amarga n tenía bultos. Después de comer un mero barrio de mi novio comenzó a llegar un dolor de estómago y sensación de enfermos. Una pena, ya que solía ser muy buena comida. No vendría aquí de nuevo.

I live locally, and order from New Jumbo maybe once a month. I have always had a good experience with this place, and really enjoy their menu.

Firstly, I am not one to write reviews, even if is below average but I thought I would have to for the sake of other potential customers who, like myself, would be dissatisfied by the service and food provided by this takeaway. One word of advice, AVOID!! I am so shocked by not only the quality of the food but the customer service received when I rang in to make a polite complaint when the chicken I received in the noodles were part frozen to heard the cashier (without and apology) rudely and so adamantly claiming there was nothing wrong with their food and to 'stop wasting their time', I was so shocked, I thought to myself, "what kind of customer service do you call this?!", they surely do not have a care in the world for the customers and clearly nor the food they serve. My family and I have been a regular at the New Jumbo for years and thoroughly enjoyed their food but customer service and food quality has drastically deteriorated over the past year and I will not be returning to eat there, especially with other negative past experience such as rude customer service, 1 hour late food and constantly getting my order wrong.
