The service was disgraceful - pre-ordered food - it was either not cooked properly, not available, served an hour later than someone else in the group or cancelled but not told! Food was bland when/if it arrived. Manager couldn’t careless in resolving issues - locals in the pub were intimidating to us - would not recommend this pub to anyone. Spoilt our evening.

Visited with friends while on holiday. Preordered and paid deposit. Food was awful. An hour between first and last meal served! Some meals were not edible or not available even after pre order & 1 meal was not provided! Locals were intimidating to the group that we removed the children from the pub before settling the bill. Manager tried to intimidate and unwilling to communicate or deal with the issue. Manager more interested in talking to the locals than helping deal with the issues and left his staff to it. Staff were not adhering to COVID regulations.

Friendly pub in a small village just outside Redruth – standard pub fare, battered fish and chips was well-presented and very hot, and good value. Shared part of the room with the local knitting club, having their Knit and Natter meeting! Huge screen (projection) showing football, but sound was thankfully low. Felt very comfortable, though one or two of the locals propping up the bar had very loud laughs!

Excellent Sunday Lunch, exceptional value, 5 fresh vegetables plus lovely roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Quick polite service, very warm welcome on arrival. If I could give it stars it would be 20 out 10 smile.

We live very near to the New Inn but like others had not visited there until the new landlords took over. They are local people and have done a marvellous job with the pub. It has been smartly redecorated but retained its cosy feel, it has a really friendly, pubby character. We've had several meals there and always excellent, particularly the Sunday lunch we had last week. See you there soon......

This friendly village pub is an excellent place to call in for a meal. If you like meals " like your mum used to make" then this is for you....and me ! There is a choice of 2 meats and the Veg is standard. Its well cooked, delicious, filling and the atmosphere is friendly. What more could you want ! I've been there on a number of occasions and will continue to go as long as they keep serving meals like this.

This is the local pub in Park Bottom, Cornwall. Not the easiest place to find, but my Mum lives there so it seemed the ideal place for Sunday lunch when I went to visit a couple of weeks ago. We had a meal one Saturday night about 6 months previously and it was great. Proper country pub - plenty of atmosphere with friendly staff and great reasonably priced food. We were looking forward to going back on our next visit, but were told they had stopped doing food - very disappointing. But this time when I went I saw the sign outside for Sunday lunches and couldn't wait to get back in. True to form it was lovely. Good size tasty portions, all reasonably priced, real ales, and friendly staff. 2 big tellys if you want to watch something, and generally a great atmosphere. If I lived there it would definitely be my regular haunt!

Called in here for Sunday lunch with some friends. There's a choice of Large or small, Turkey or Beef. I had the small turkey which arrived within a few minutes. It comprised a few slices of turkey, a stuffing ball and 3 roasties. The Veg was supplied in a separate dish ( 1 dish to share amongst us and an adequate amount of Broccoli, peas, carrots, mashed swede) There was an additional boat of Gravy. ( an excellent idea ! ). Everyone was of the same opinion and that was that the meal was "just like Mum made....excellent" We also had the Cheesecake for afters and that was superb. A good meal.

I have been coming to this pub for a few years now - it being my partners local - and I had not been in since the new owners took over about a month ago. WHAT A TRANSFORMATION! It is so much more welcoming - the new layout is fantastic, much more lighter, freshly painted walls, new carpets etc. We decided to try out the new menu on offer and it was fantastic. We started with breaded mushrooms, and I had ham, egg and chips. The chips you could tell were hand made. My partner had BBQ chicken - he said there was too much cheese on the chicken but each to their own. It was great to see the pub busy again after recent years with new faces coming in to eat as well. We will definitely be back and am telling all my friends / work colleagues about what a great experience we had and to give it a try.

Popped in today. New owners are refurbishing at the moment as only took this pub on, on 4th July 2015. We has Southern Fried chicken and chips basket meal. REALLY TASTY. Chef was peeling potatoes by hand, so we got the sense of proper home made food. They only do basket meals and Sunday lunches at the moment but are having menus for full meals printed. I took a photo of the draft menu for info. If you want to find out meal options it might pay you to give them a quick ring first like we did.

When we called on a Friday in February they were not serving food. Disappointing as the reviews on TA seemed favourable. Maybe open in the main tourist season?

The ice creams here are beautiful! Really generous portions and are very well presented. The customer service we received was outstanding, my daughter had a massive meltdown (ASD) and they were nothing but supportive, understanding and helpful. We'd had a very tough day today with meltdowns galore and this one was by far the worst of the day yet I never felt alone or judged. People like you make the biggest difference and I am so very grateful for you going out of your way to help and care. Thank you x
