Oggy Oggy the Pasty Company in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

The ice cream served here is good value for the money at £2.50 1scoop or £4 for 2 and the prices and cones vary, I had one scoop and a waffle cone and it was delicious, not only was it lovely in taste but it went almost down to the bottom after licking it!!! There are so many different varieties of flavours both inside and out there are roughly 35+ varieties chocolate mudpie, blueberry, raspberry ripple, banoffee, so many to choose from and then if you want you can add toppings and there are a variety of different cones or you can have a simple cup, either way the ice cream itself is delicious, be sure to look inside before making your decision. It was about 14.30 pm and we fancied a pasty. There weren't many left but we order a medium and a small cornish pasty. They had been kept in the hot hold too long and we're all mushy and over cooked.

Not open.......are they closed for good? 😒

Lovely pasties, we both had a Cornish pasty from here and really enjoyed it, was very fresh. The only thing is the staff are miserable! Finding this a lot in cornwall unfortunately. Not very friendly at all which is a shame. Doesn’t cost anything to have a smile on your face and be polite.

In all honesty I didnt find the pasties from here that great and they have a ridiculous system of serving people. We were told we had to order pasties at the outside window but then had to come inside to pay by card! - just bizarre! They serve both Treleavens and Kellys ice cream - I was stood in front of the Treleavens counter and was even pointing to the flavours I wanted - but when I looked up, the lady was filling the cone with Ice cream from the Kellys freezer! I had to say again that I wanted the ice cream from the Treleavens freezer! I managed to get a Treleavens White Choc & Raspberry ice cream which was gorgeous - Id say prices are average. Staff are not friendly or welcoming - it seems like such an inconvenience that they have to serve you!

Visited this shop and bought a sausage roll and pasty. It was very busy and the lady behind the counter was very grumpy. She was moaning in a very passive aggressive way about how paying with cash helps small businesses. **Newsflash** no one carries cash any more!!! So get up to date with 2023 and get a better card machine system or stop moaning. It was the way she was moaning that annoyed me. Not directly at us, no eye contact just chuntering away to herself. The pasty was nice. The sausage roll wasn’t very nice. Would not go back.

We love coming here as a family for Mr Whippy ice creams with a flake or lovely locally sourced ice creams too. Great vegan options to choose from, loads of flavours and choices of cones plus really well priced! The pasties are good too 😊

Great pasties. Even had a gluten free cornish!! We had to wait for them to warm it up, but that was no problem for us.

We were getting hungry so thought we would try Oggy Oggy pasties which I have never had before. I wish I had not bothered as unfortunately I found this a very poor Cornish pasty. Pastry was chewy and contents were obviously mass produced / production line / watery quality, so cannot recommend. I also noted one other issue which every other local ( or ex local ) will raise their eyebrows at, Oggy Oggy were selling ' Pixie Pasties'? In Cornwall they are known as Piskies / Piskeys

I was in Newquay a few weeks back on business and I can say without fail the pasties I bought from Oggys was the very best I have ever eaten and I have lived in Cornwall for over 40 years and must of eaten hundreds upon hundreds I promise you if your in Newquay make a point of going in here YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!! Absolutely gorgeous and baked to perfection…… 5 ⭐️

Came in for a pasty (I thoroughly enjoyed it) understandably busy being peak season and working hard to keep up with orders however the service was poor at best. If you tell your waiting customers that a product is going to be 15 minutes and it’s clearly going to be longer just be honest! I ended up waiting 45 minutes with no update other when I asked and when I asked was told that it’s not their problem that it’s busy and that they only have 2 ovens. I will happily wait for the good pasty’s here but to be inaccurately told about the wait and then to be made to feel uncomfortable when asking for an update is inexcusable. I really hope the staff see this and take this as constructive criticism.

Had 2 vegetable pasties from this place. As a regular visitor to the county, And have pasties from all the establishments avaliable. These are the best. Fast service also.

During our week in Newquay we had several different pasties and my 13 year old son rated Oggy Oggy pasties the best! They are flavoursome with a lovely filling texture! Get the giant or large traditional ones.

Staff were very rude and grumpy, felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable. The coffees we had tasted awful and when we complained we were told that we were basically wrong as they have served them for “8 years and never had any complaints” will definitely not be returning and would not recommend. Attention gluten-free peeps; if you call 40mins before you want to collect, they will have a piping hot gf pasty waiting for you! Choice of traditional or cheese n onion. Also a range of non gf pasty’s of course ready to eat. Yum

I used to come here with my grandma all the time when I was little, such treasured memories of this place. The traditional Cornish pasties are like no other. I came back to Newquay last year and visited Oggy Oggys, truly they are still the best. My grandma has dementia and can no longer visit Newquay, brought memories and tears flooding back to me when I bit into those pasties again. Keep doing what you’re doing. Thank you.

The staff are so lovely and friendly. We did an order to bring home to Lincoln. The pasties are just divine and so full of flavour. We make sure every time we visit Cornwall we go to Newquay to get some of oggy oggy's pasties, this was our 3rd year. Definitely the best Cornish Pasty in Cornwall in our opinion!!!

We came to Newquay to visit family over the bank holiday. We made a stop at our favourite pasty shop. We love Oggy oggy pasties, they are cooked perfectly and they have a vegetarian option which is great for two of us in the family. We would really recommend you stop by and try one! The service is great too, very friendly and helpful!

Probably the best pastie I have ever had,they will be doing ice cream again very soon now they got their new freezer.great people will be calling again when in area( with or without a freezer delivery).again GREAT PASTIES!

As locals in Newquay this is my son's favourite ice cream shop, there's so much ice cream to choose from and his favourite food is ice cream 😋.

Took my son and his friend for a pasty, I got a traditional steak and my son and his friend both wanted chicken. They were absolutely delicious, my son doesn’t normally like pasties but he loved these! We decided to buy ice-creams from their large selection too and they were equally delicious and well priced!

Bought 2 pasties from Oggy Oggy one tradtional one chicken, we had eaten nothing before and nothing afterwards, later that day one of us felt ill and was sick later on. The other person who ate the other pasty became ill, sick and fainted, We got in touch with the managing director who dismissed our claim. so BEWARE where you buy your pasty from.

Latte To Takeaway Please, It was fairly big effort for the woman, would you prefer cash or card I simply asked, THE WOMAN BARKS CASH CASH, do you realise how much bank charges are, well actually yes I do and I also understand the profit margin on a coffee, the bloke soon took over as I think he realised or was slightly embarrassed with the woman. decent coffee woman needs another job she is obviously fed up with customers

Visited Cornwall again this year and had to have some more pasties from here, I haven't tasted any better than oggy oggy. Perfect

Great selection of Ice Creams, very competitively priced with generous portions - Treleavens and Kellys Ice Cream available, the Peanut Butter Crunch and Millionaires Shortbread particular favorites for us though we sampled plenty during our few days stay! Pasties were warm, smelt and tasted delicious.

We’ve been going to Newquay for 5 years now and going to Oggy Oggy for ice cream at least once a day whilst we’re there has become a must do tradition for us. There are so many flavours to choose from, but we each have our faves. I’d desperately love to try the stem ginger and raspberry with white chocolate, but every time I step up to the counter, I can’t go past the super gooey millionaires shortbread. Then there’s the people....after 5 years I really should know their names, but I’m embarrassed to say I don’t. They are always super patient with us when we’re dithering and their scoops are always very generous. They’re an entire meal!Thank you Oggy Oggy. We’ve lost some of our Newquay traditions over the years, but you’ve never let us down. Can’t wait to see you again next year.

I absolutely love Oggy Oggy! Their food is delicious and they definitely sell the best pasties and Ice cream, along with the best prices in Newquay town. It’s in such a good location in Newquay and the staff are really lovely! :)

ice Cream here is great and is a good price not sure what Jessica from the last review is talking about. it’s still one of the cheapest ice creams in town and considering we have all been in lockdown for months I’m sure raising the price of the ice cream by 50p, to help make up for lost time isn’t the end of the world for a decent sized and good tasting ice cream.

We both have a vegetable pasty and it was amazing! The staff were nice and there were benches outside which was nice to be able to sit and eat. Highly recommend!

Been coming to oggy oggys for an ice cream for over a year. It’s amazing. Only downfall today is I asked for a tiny ice cream for my little boy ( mr whippy) it has had the price up 50p extra. I thought with having such a small ice cream, it would be the usual price but the young lady who served today charged me the full amount. When yesterday I only got charged the price it has been at for over a year. I only realised when I got home and she took my card to tap the machine.

We went in for ice creams as another shop we went in didnt have blue ice cream. To be greeted with a huge selection with all the toppings and sprinkles. Even cones they have a larger selection than the other shops near by. We had a blue cone with blue ice cream blue sauce and blue popping candy. I had a very happy little boy. My partner got his rum and raised in a chocolate cone. The good ones with the bit of chocolate in the bottom. My daughter had an oreo cookies and creamer which was lush. I often for lime cheesecake which was really nice and different. We noticed they did pastys too so came back the next day. Honestly the best cornish pasties ever. So filling. We ended up going back a few times tried the sausage rolls and cheese and onion pastys too and honestly was brilliant. They stayed open with stocm. Didnt seem to run out of anything. The staff were lovely couldn't do enough really chatty. Will defo be returning next year on our annual visit. The food is so warm it's perfect temperature by the time you get on the beach. Without paying beach front prices. Also a good stop on the way to the car to get home from a busy day at the beach.Thanks guys.

I think I love every icecream in this area. Tried cafelatte flavor and it was wonderful.

The most delightful smell of cooked pasties attracts you from down the street. Once inside you won't be disappointed, we tried the medium steak pasty and the beef & stilton. A true taste sensation, highly recommended. There is also a small seating area inside too.

Ordered 12 pasties to take away. picked them up on the day we were coming home, they were box and waiting for us. They were pre ordered the day before and a list was taken of what we wanted. When we got home we found that what we ordered and what we got was no where near. very disappointed. Check what you have before you leave the shop if you pre order.

Interesting name that I associate with the Welsh comedian, Max Boyce. Not sure what the connection is with here though. This shop specialises in the sale of quality ice creams and pastys. Additionally, they do snacks and hot and cold drinks. You either take away or there's the option to eat in. They have three small tables available for up to four people each. There's no outside seating. The entrance is step free and there might just be room to get a wheelchair inside. There aren't any customer toilets here. I had a pasty to take away. It was pretty good, decent pastry and filling. Still prefer Warren's. The person who served me wasn't particularly welcoming, and the price at £2.85 was around average.

I’m dieting so couldn’t try the pasties on offer here which smelled absolutely divine, from outside (they sold them in giant size, too )My husband bought 6 stunning ice creams for our children and nieces and nephews, in special waffle cones in a fantastic range of flavours and a bottle of Coke and it came to £13?!?! Bargain! Highly recommended!

Call me a bit common, but whenever I have a non Ginsters pasty, I always feel like I haven't quite got what I wanted. NOT so with the Oggy Oggy pasty company - it best pasty I have ever had bar none. Proper steak and identifiable potato and swede. Bloomin' lovely. Could have eaten 12 (which I would have got for the price of 10 by the way).

i must say that the pasties were just superb.on our last day we had an order for 24 of them to bring back to friends and family.superb range of fillings and made on site.it was so handy as on the trip back we got stuck in traffic,how cool was that because the pasties were on the back seat still warm and individual wrapped. so by the time we got back some had gone to a far better place.

Not the most inspiring premises but friendly staff, quick service and excellent pasties. Of course there are loads of pasty premises in Newquay so there may be better, but Oggy Oggy is very good.

Right as you come out of the car park. We got two hot traditional pasties and went and sat overlooking the bay. Hot and best tasting pasties we tried over our weekend away. They also sold really yummy too ☺

Oggy Oggy oi oi. Myself and my friends came here yesterday for lunch. We had classic Cornish steak pasties and they were ansom. My boyfriend had a medium steak and a filter coffee that only cost him £3.50. reasonably priced and they were all nice and warm and filling.

We arrived in Newquay at noon and decided to eat at the first pasty shop with indoor seating we found on the walk from Manor Road Car park because we had some hungry children and this was the first one we saw. There is limited seating, but we were lucky because there was no one else eating when we arrived. The pasties were very good and had veggie options as well and the overall the cost was standard for what was on offer. In hindsight I would have eating elsewhere in town because the cost of other places was very similar and the other places had more choices of other food & drink, but if all you want is a pasty and a drink then there is no reason not to stop here. I have bought take away pasties from this chain in Plymouth and they are also good,

what a fantastic place, the staff were excellent, the range of icecream was amazing, Icecream portions were large and good value for money, pasty's were most enjoyable, there was no rushing or feeling pressured would I go back ... oh yeah without doubt!!

We did a bulk order for Medium size Steak Cornish Pasties which we collected two days hence. There were 12 as we had been asked to bring some back for friends at home. When we collected them they were well packed in a clean sealed cardboard box which made it easy to transport back home. I thoroughly enjoyed the pastie I had but not quite the taste I expected. Steak taste prevailed. Recommended eating.

First stop on arrival in Newquay. No need to say more other than it was a was a lovely pasty. It was very hot and tasty. Definitely recommend.

While we didn't have a pasty, we both tried 5 different flavours of their Cornish ice cream between us, and really enjoyed it! The Pimms sorbet in particular was really lovely and refreshing on a warm day!

We popped in here just as they were opening on a Sunday morning.We wanted to buy Cornish Pasties to take home to family. We were told they would be about 10 minutes, so we said we would sit and wait.Whilst we waited i fancied an ice cream. There was an enormous variety to choose from, 2 freezers full. I was offered a taste first to see if I liked it, but I declined and just went for the millionaires shortbread ice cream, it was indeed delicious.We were then told the pasties would be about half an hour, so we paid for them, went back to our hotel to check out and went back to collect them, where the lady in the cafe had placed them carefully in a box for us to transport home on our 5 hour journey.The smell of the pasties as we drove home was mouth watering, we almost ate them on the way home, saying taht family didnt need to know, but we resisted and our family devoured them, saying how delicious they were.Go visit, Oggy Oggy Oggy

Visited Newquay today... parked at The Manor parking lot and as you walk down the ramp. .. There it is... Ogling you. .. :)Friendly lady helped us. We bought two Cornish pasties and they were rather scrummy! Pastry very nice.

My wife and I stayed in Newquay last week and we had the good fortune to call in for a cup of tea and a 'cup of Jo' in addition to 2 fantastic pasties.I had the large steak which had fantastic short crust pastry, loads of steak mince throughout, a gorgeous sauce and plenty of (but not too much) vegetables. ( My wife had a medium steak pasty).I keep a 'Cornwall Pasty League' table and this little beauty is so far sitting on the top (joint first) alongside another well known Cornish brand.The lady in the Cafe advised us they were very hot and she was not wrong! They were Nuclear but on a freezing cold day in February you can't beat the warming feeling of the most tasty pastry parcel of pleasure as it is washed down by one of the best cups of black coffee I have had the pleasure to savour in a Cornish cafe. Well worth a visit. Very friendly Scottish proprietor who made us feel very welcome.
