New City Chinese Takeaway in Basingstoke and Deane

The best Chinese delivery I have eaten. Delivery was on time the food was piping hot. Nothing to complain about. Wish the delivery driver stayed fo a tip however my dog may have scared him off.

Gave a vegan meat you might not care about vegans but imagine if I had an allergy could have killed me. Complete lack of care even called them to double check it would all be vegan. Had my non vegan family confirm it definitely was chicken

I ONLY USE THE TAKE AWAY. AT SOUTHERN ROAD I HAVE DELIVERIES EACH SATURDAY. THE FOOD IS CONSISTANTLY GOOD. BEEN USING THEM FOR A FEW YEARS. NEVER A BAD MEAL. FOOD IS FRESH AND DELICIOUS. I RECOMMEND THE CHICKEN SATAY SKEWERS, MINI VEG ROLLS, SAL N PEPPER CHICKEN, PRAWN TOAST AND EGG FRIED RICE.

Rubbish, leave well alone. Pancake roll absolutely DRIPPING with oil & this after we complained the first time, no refund, not even an apology. Always try a second time to be fair but if they STILL get it wrong then never again.

Absolutely dreadful Chinese! I highly recommend that you do not use this disgusting place. This Take-Away is not clean and the food is cheap and is prepared poorly. If you use this joint be prepared for an upset stomach

I do like the food here but they are now unable to offer any sort of delivery service in less than 2 hours. Said 1 hour and had to ring up as was over 1.5hrs, total shambles, couldn't find order, hung up on me and had to redial then they said it would be another 45-60 mins. Will not be using this place again for some time!!

I will never use again over an hour late and cold booked delivery day before couldn’t get through on phone my daughter went there and the delivery turned up total waste do not use them the food wasn’t even good

Absolutely awful Chinese! I highly recommend that you do not use this horrendous place. Since they’ve taken on another restaurant, it clearly shows they are not able to cope. Waited 2.5 hours for our food to be delivered, not only did they lie over the phone to us twice re delivery, it turned up cold, wet and absolutely disgusting! It is such a shame they’ve gone down hill, as we used them all the time. We will most certainly not be returning.

Used to be our favourite Chinese but after the appalling service the last few visits will not be returning. Over 2 and half hours for delivery when quoted 90 minutes max. Chased twice to finally be told they had missed the order and not made it, even though on first call it was on the way! Food then turned 10 mins later. Total shambles! Would not recommen

We ordered a take away and the food was amazing. I have loved in this area for over 2 years and this was the best Chinese I have ever had. We will definitely be ordering from the restaurant again.

Ordered food for delivery service. Nothing arrived after 1 hour 10 minutes, called them to which they said it was on its way. The takeaway is 10 minutes from our house, after another 20 minutes we called again. They said they would call the driver and get back to us. They never did. Two hours after the food was ordered, it arrived cold. The delivery driver spoke no English so was so difficult to communicate the problem with him. Called the Chinese and they said they would offer 20% off the food. Obviously cold food isn’t worth paying for. Such a shame!

Have had food from here many times always hot and delivered within the time scale just wish there was more choice for the vegetarian but cannot fault them other than that . Have recommended to many of my friends and will not go anywhere else now

Average chinese takeaway. recommended if you just want some quick chinese <3 Fast delivery time + good portion although 1st time visiting the place was sure an adventure. took me 30minutes to figure out where it was since the location was somewhat unexpected.

Never ordered from here before but used the hungry horse app and this place was the only Chinese on there which is what we wanted so decided to go for it. Pricing is pretty normal for a Chinese and you pay £2 delivery and have to spend minimum of £20. We ordered Rice, two mains, satay chicken and prawn crackers (which are normally free I'd say but we're £2 here) all for £23 inc delivery. The App told us it would be about an hour and it came in 15 minutes! We were very impressed and it tasted lovely! Definitely will order from here again! Thanks!

After moving here 18 months ago I tried to find a Chinese takeaway and New City was recommended. I can honestly say I have never been disappointed. The food is always piping hot, absolutely lovely and great value. Highly recommend to anyone in the area

He estado utilizando este servicio para llevar encantador ya desde el primer día me trasladé a Basingstoke, hace 3 años. La comida es increíble y el servicio es de primera. Incluso no he molestado tratando otros lugares en Basingstoke como no hay necesidad de cuando este lugar es tan bueno. Muy recomendable para cualquiera que le guste chino.

Pedimos un chino para mí y mi otra mitad. Cuando se conversando mientras pasan cerca, la salsa dulce y amarga había abierto y entraba por TODAS PARTES arruinando la comida y los malos conductores planta de coche.Llamé para decirles lo que había pasado, la mujer era bloody grosero, actitud desagradable! Sin duda no volveremos!!

A menudo pedimos desde aquí, así que pensé que tendría que hacer una revisión rápida.En los últimos dos años hemos tenido nada pero el servicio es fantástico y la comida es estupenda. Son rápidos y eficientes en el teléfono, la comida siempre llega a tiempo y caliente. El tamaño de las porciones son geniales para el dinero.No tenía motivos para quejarse así que hacíamos : -)

How rude.. ordered Chinese from new city in town.. they sent me the wrong food, i rang and they told me its me that got it wrong and argued with me about it lol.. so i asked for my money back.. the drive came back with the food that was missing from my order by then the rest was cold. i said i wanted my money back on the phone.. he gave me my money.. i then order from somewhere else.. my phone rings and its the woman from new city having a go at me coz i got my money back and didnt tell her blah blah blah they sent new food and im out of order blah blah so i told her politely 2 not call me again and that the customer service is absolutely shocking.. avoiding them from now on lol rant over lol

Had a delivery take away last week. Food was very nice and hot when arrived albeit maybe a tad greasy but very tasty. But it did take over an hour to be delivered which seemed excessive.
