I felt that I was overcharged, I didn't receive my discount, I had to return to the takeaway, and encountered a clear case of Trades Description abuse regarding advertised pricing versus actual charges. In business, trust is paramount, clients need to be able to rely on you. "In the UK, misleading pricing practices can fall under the scope of the Trade Descriptions Act 1968 and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. These laws aim to protect consumers from false or deceptive claims about goods, services, or pricing." Under these regulations, businesses are prohibited from: - Advertising incorrect prices or failing to honour advertised discounts. - Providing misleading information about the nature, quality, or price of goods and services. The good bit. This little gem of a place certainly delivers on food expectations, top-notch. However, it's such a shame they mishandled a simple takeaway order on 29th March 2025. There was an administrative error on their part concerning a new pricing structure, which reportedly came into effect on 28th March. Yet, they were still displaying outdated takeaway menus in their reception prior to the price increases. Advertising one price and charging another? That’s bound to cause confusion. I collected my order and headed home. However, something didn’t add up. After recalculating the total using the takeaway menu I had picked up earlier, I realised there was a discrepancy. Thankfully, I had asked for an itemized bill, something they don't provide unless explicitly requested, which only raised my suspicions further. To my surprise, the total was £46.75. According to the displayed menu prices, factoring in the 10% discount for collection orders over £20, it should have been £37.66. That's a staggering percentage increase of 24.14%! I returned to challenge the bill and was informed that all current prices were listed on their website!!. When I pointed out the issue with outdated menus still being displayed, they swiftly removed them but made no acknowledgment of the error. Eventually, the 10% discount was handed over, but only after I specifically demanded it on a return challenge visit. In net terms, I wasted an hour of my time and petrol having to return as a matter of principle. Even after the discount, my adjusted total came to £42.15, representing an 11.92% increase over the displayed pricing. Naturally, I was left wondering, what exactly has increased? So, I crunched the numbers, and a rather intriguing trend emerged. See if you can spot it! I have attached some images which highlight where the increases have been made, given that I was supplied with 3 different takeaway menus on the day? the numbers may be subject to change!

Absolutely delicious! We discovered Spice village in July 2024 and have visited weekly since! The food is amazing, the staff great fun and prices very competitive 😁

We have just moved within this area, we have tried all the curry houses local but some how we missed this one SPICE VILLAGE I MUST SAY ITS THE BEST BHUNA I HAVE EVER HAD! The chicken just melted in my mouth, the flavours were bursting out. The knan breads so fresh and flavourful. Thank you so much WE WILL BE BACK.

Food was okay. Dessert was amazing. I ordered Daal tadka and roti, and Faluda and Gajar Halwa. Ambience and decoration was aesthetic.

We have moved this area recently we're looking for an Indian to try found this one the closest but everything went into vain food was absolutely horrible no taste at all and it was like full of oil just waste of money.

Visiting friends in Wraysbury and ordered a takeaway to be delivered. Which it was in a friendly manner and on time. Ordered Goan fish curry, Monk fish curry, lamb Madras and lamb Passanda. Every dish was outstanding, this eating experience has renewed faith in Indian food. All the spices were fresh and fish dishes were authentic. Ultimate test: Next morning had cold leftover Madras for breakfast and every mouthful was delicious. This is clearly a cut above the vast majority of the competition. I am sure the lucky residents of Wraysbury are very appreciative of your excellent offerings.

Had a great valentines 💝 night restaurant was decorated and made to feel specialties staff are all extremely pleasant we have been looking for a decent Indian restaurant as most of our usual ones have gone downhill we were impressed with the quality and size of the portions our new go to Indian give it a try

Live local in the village and ordered a takeaway after Christmas. Firstly the Driver got lost so food was lukewarm and late - What should’ve have been a 5 minute drive! All the dishes were extremely oily. We had to pour the oil off the dishes before serving, even the vegetable rice dishes were soaked in oil? Flavour wise everything was low to average because of the oil but with an above average price tag. This was the second takeaway in the past few months both times unfortunately the same. Definitely will not order again and sorry cannot recommend. Will go back to our usual in Staines which never fails to impress…. Amaans.

Average experience. Staff were a bit aloof. Food average and very salty. Sizzling dishes were just plonked on the table rather than served which should be standard and always has been in other restaurants.

Went there for the first time to celebrate a 10 year wedding anniversary. The food and service were excellent and we shall certainly be going back. The Nan was hot and fluffy and not stodgy like you often get and the portion sizes were more than enough.

Really lovely atmosphere, staff were very quick and always checking we were okay and wanted anymore drinks. The food was really good and the portions were huge! Definitely be coming back 😊

Got a takeaway from there tonight got to say not very nice. The masala sauce was not very nice. Probably came out of a jar.potatoes have been overcooked very soft and no spices or flavour hardly any sauce no thought gone to it at all.the garlic naan was cold when I got home and it only took me four minutes to drive and the pillar rice look like boiled white rice. The service was very good, but they need a new chef, someone that can make his own sources.

Amazing food and staff. Always a friendly welcome and never disappointed. We live close by and love walking over and eating in although the takeaway service is very quick and normally have a couple of samosas while we wait or they call us and we walk over and pick it up. They are also doing some music nights soon so can’t wait for this as well.

We visited as a group of 6 on a Monday night for the first time and we were amazed at the quality of the food and friendly service. We will definitely be visiting again!

Spice Village provided a takeaway for 51 for a party at a local sailing club. The food and service were excellent. It arrived on time, quality and portions were good and the price was good too. Only received good feedback. Would highly recommend and will be using them again.

visited twice recently with a friend. Not visited since pre covid. The menu has some new additions, highly recommend the chicken nazakat. Very friendly welcoming staff and great food. A shout to the Rioja too, paired very well. We will be back!!

Fantastic tasty selection of lamb and chicken mixed grill naan bread and salad plus Vegetable curry. Soft drink too - all for £20! Well worth it and as a takeaway couldn’t fault it! Yet to eat in restaurant - perhaps when rules Covid relax after July 19th 2021.
