Superb Indian food with a fantastic atmosphere. Service was top notch! Decor was chic and top end. Over all 10/10 night.

Second time we've been here - what a contrast (and not in a good way!). Our table was next to the entrance, draughty and noisy, continual footfall from waiters and diners. Service was good, but slow, so food was cold on arrival, particularly the Peshwari Naan, so disappointing!. Also, the decor, which we loved on our first visit, seemed a bit tired - behind the Buddha screen leading to the toilet area was scuffed and dusty. I felt a real sense of neglect, profit before presentation I would say! You need to up your customer service game guys! (and standards).

Food is good. Service is a complete joke. Ordered 18:55 arrived at 20:47 called the restaurant twice “yeah yeah my guy is on the way 5 mins”, - further 30 mins later arrived luke warm, Nan bread was a soggy waste of £4. Really disappointing. Don’t seem to care about the service. If it arrives on time - great curry if it late you get what I got cold soggy naan bread, soggy onion bhaji total waste.

A month old review. I have ordered food from Fat Buddha on 2 occassions and I must say they serve sone interesting flavours in their chicken curries and starters. However, what did upset me was the taste was not consistent on the second time. I believe The Chef needs to do some quality control.

First time I’ve been there - had dinner with some mates on a Friday night. Restaurant was busy and nicely decorated. Decent bar area to have a pre/post dinner drink. Great food and service

This cannot be classed as an Indian restaurant the food was absolutely horrible every dish we ordered had 0 taste where were the spices?! What chef do you have back there who thinks this food is acceptable to take out especially to an indian family who know exactly how the dishes should taste it looked and tasted bland with no flavour whatsoever. All the 5* reviews are from people who have never had real authentic Indian food. We visited for my mums birthday 13th Sept and needless to say I wish we never went or just left after starters considering how much money we wasted. If you want real Indian food please go elsewhere I've never been so disappointed in my life.

I had the paprika chicken tikka, very tender and succulent and tasty. The portions were very filling without rice but every single dish they served looked delicious. Highly recommended.

Always the most delicious food and friendly, attentive staff. Always feel very welcome. The Bist Kebab and Chilli Paneer are amazing - although all the food is!

The last time I ate bad Indian food was 15 years ago. Took my family last Friday and I regretted staying past the starters. I ordered the seafood platter and it was tasteless. The chicken biryani was sad. The okra wanted to die, again bland and tasteless. I don't know if the chef had given up or lost his spice rake. We had a Michelin chef at our table, and an excellent vegetarian cook too. What a pity.

Unfortunately it was the worst Indian food ever I was so disappointed and I am Indian and love authentic food however this was the worst

The fat buddha is our favourite indian restaurant. We absolutely love going there because the food and the cocktails are amazing, and when we don't feel like going out, we order takeaway. They never fail to impress our taste buds. The takeaway food is just as amazing. The portions are generous, and the flavours are out of this world! We've already booked our Christmas dinner there and cannot wait to go! 😍

Fantastic food experience. Loved it, the Monkfish Tandoori Masala is a must, service was excellent, very attentive and quick. We will be back thank you.

It's our first visit to the Fat Buddha but definitely won't be our last. We walked in and were meet with a warm & friendly greeting. We loved the decor which was very on trend. The menu was extensive and the food we had was delicious. Looking forward to our next visit.

Went here with friends as a curry club. We go all over Berkshire every other week. Beautiful restaurant from the moment you walk in. Seated at a nice round table and enjoyed a lovely meal. This food really was extremely good and the lamb & duck was some of the best we’ve had. Definitely recommend this place for a nice meal. It is the most expensive we’ve been too in two years at £60 per head. In my opinion it’s worth it, I would rather pay a bit more and have good food. Our only disappointment from the whole evening was at the end. The bill came out……. No hot towels to freshen up, no mints and no little shot drink on the house. After spending over £400, I think a shot of Sambucca or Bailey’s would not be too much to have. This is only the second restaurant that hasn’t given us a drink on the house. Having said all that, I would like to return for a quality meal.

Well the one meal was warm the other was Cold the naan bread was Cold apart from that it tasted lovely from Mr TA Watts

I've ordered from here in the past and it's been pretty good. This time, it was very oily and the chicken wasn't very hot.

As per my reviews, I'm an Indian connoisseur. Decided to go to this place to celebrate our engagement and this place was unreal...amazing food, great atmosphere. The staff..well...they were fantastic!! Like, they would check on u to see if u needed drinks or just to say hello. I definitely made new friends. Got some names of the staff, Naz, Dian and the big boss man Shorif. All of them were so friendly. This is our new Indian local. I had the vindaloo and it was so good!!!!

We were served by Naz who was very professional and he made our evening very special for my mum's birthday, the food was amazing.

2x main jhingha prawns came with just 2 prawns at a whopping £9.86 per prawn. Usually 4 prawns in the main. Justeat customer service not interested without detailed photographic evidence. This restaurant has no integrity trying to rip customers off.

Somebody highly suggested me to try The Fat Buddha. Usually i'm not a fan of cauliflower and they pass to make it delicious with an excellent mix grill Tandoori. I didn't remember to eat a so good food until now. Definitivly the best place to discover.

As we stayed quiet fare from the restaurant the delivery was a bit longer but the food still arrived hot and fresh! Super delicious food! We ordered lamb samosas, onion bhaji, palu rice, curry and chilli pannier

Genuinely very pleasantly surprised with the Fat Buddha. Expected it to be alright, but the delivery and customer service was superb, relaxed atmosphere and the food was good quality, good portion size. All round really happy with it and Nazz our server was brilliant

Visited the Fat Budda to celebrate a milestone birthday - the staff were so accommodating and were incredibly attentive to my elderly mum. Food was wonderful as always and the atmosphere was buzzing - it was fully booked and people getting turned away so I would advise to book. Great night and can’t wait to go back for another visit soon

The food is incredible. Lots of customers celebrating their birthday. Would 100% recommend and special shout out to waiter Naz who couldn’t have been more attentive.

I split the bill with a friend and paid a little more as I had the more expensive dish. The waiter then tried to charge my friend the same amount which would have gave them a 10 tip, which the service definitely didn't warrant.

Great restaurant- highly recommend. Ate here today with a big family - Kim h to celebrate a couple of birthdays. Very polite staff & all members of staff were very polite, friendly & helpful. The food was incredibly tasty, everyone enjoyed the meal. The heating seemed to be on, & was promptly turned off on request. The food came out & was served promptly & professionally. Everyone ate together- there was no one waiting for theirs to come out, the kids were all served 1st, which is very important to me… Thankyou Decor is extremely modern - very clean & comfortable. No one left a thing which I’m assuming is a good thing Very very nice. Highly recommend! I will deffo return. Thankyou. My only issue is the area & lack of parking the whole of Maidenhead is double yellow lines sooo annoying, even on a Sunday. - which is not your issue.. just noting for other customers. I found free parking a couple roads away 5min walk. Prob easier for locals. But a lovely area nevertheless!

The food was bland, the pilau rice for example looked like boiled rice, the spicy dishes were bland and the beer £6.80 a pint!!!

Unfortunately was late, rang twice as it said delivered but it had not and when it finally arrived it was lukewarm with no apology or resin, quite disappointed for my first try of the place. The delivery driver was also quite rude when we asked why so late so not good overall.

I would highly rate this restaurant for the quality food, especially Indian. It’s got the spice and great taste. I would say this is one amgonst the best Indian restaurant in Maidenhead. You should try their garlic rice. Garlic chilli chicken curry and chicken lollipop. My only concern is this restaurant didn’t appear in Deliveroo when searched for Indian, something to check. 5 star service and good taste.

The food came not only late but very cold. This was a big order and we are really disappointed with the service and how cold the food is. This is unacceptable and i would like this looked into.

We ordered through Uber Eats. Delivery time was estimated at between 20.40 and 21.00. Uber Eats stated that it was out for delivery at about 20.40 and the restaurant is a 10 minute drive away. When the order had not arrived by 21.15 we called, got put on hold then told that all drivers were out delivering so it should be with us shortly. There was no mention of contacting the driver to check how far away they were, nor an apology for how late it was. It finally arrived at approximation 21.30. When asked why it took so long to arrive the delivery driver just said they were very busy. The food was lukewarm at best and some dishes needed reheating. The biryani was bland but the other dishes tasted as expected. This was a very disappointing experience considering when we ordered previously we were very pleased with both the food standard and delivery time.

We had a party of 17 dine at the restaurant on the weekend and it was absolutely brilliant. This places as always been my number no.1 spot in maidenhead due to service and how delicious the food is every time, but to manage 17 orders and still keep that same service and quality is exceptional. Thank you for a great evening!

Had my first takeaway on Saturday night and now eating leftover on Sunday I would just like to say must be the best ever curry I have had and I have had a few service. Very good turned up nice and warm really can’t fault it and recommend it

Had a disappointing visit to Fat Buddha restaurant. The service was terrible despite being the only customers at 5:30 PM. Numerous staff, but no one seemed to care. Had to ask for water, no check-backs, and had to call for extra Naan. Disappointingly, there was nothing suitable for kids, and we visited with two kids under 4 years old. ❌Not recommended for family dinners❌ Also, the menu was misleading; 🤮ordered Sikandari Badi Lamb, but it didn't mention chickpeas. Overall, a regrettable experience.

The food was awful, the tandoori chicken was raw, chicken pathia was flavourless and over cooked, paratha was raw. We called to explain the problem and were advised by the Manager that we would be refunded. We have tried to contact him but he seems to be avoiding us. No refund has been paid! This is not a place or business that should be open . AVOID

Sauce container emptied all over the rest of the containers so a further 5 minutes was required to wipe all containers. Rice dish missed off but sent separately after a call.

Last night was the second time we have visited the Fat Buddha in a month, and I have no doubt that we will be back again soon. Right from the start the service was excellent, friendly and efficient. The food was outstanding, the prawn starters are really special, I had Korai lamb and it was perfect, as was my wife's lamb bhuna and the others all loved theirs too. Thank you everyone at the Fat Buddha!

Food was tasty but cold. Such a shame. Maybe driver should put it in a thermal box or could be because the type of lid used. Probably better to use a proper plastic lid.

Had a stunning dinner at this beautiful restaurant. One of the best we've ever had. Beautifully cooked and presented - absolutely delicious. Staff were amazing with wonderful service.

Worst experience in my entire life we are pure vegetarians and we ordered vegetable jalfrezi and they gave us some chicken curry.They have to be more careful about food delivery and people who ordered.

Really disappointing again.. First time we tried for a sit down meal curry was just water no thick sauce and spice-less. Tried again with a take away was not cheap again for what was basically a Hines soup just water and chicken. We was given mango chutney but no poppadoms? A wet nan bread not even as big as my hand. A Chicken Bhuna should have some flavour and spices but this had neither for the second time.

I had a good experience last night. The food was nice. Environment was absolutely gorgeous. Staff was really good. The food prices were reasonable for this kind of restaurant. We didn't order many drinks so I can't say about that. Overall, great experience.

Our go-to for Indian food... It's always so tasty, it's a little pricey but well worth it.

Everything you want from a take away meal… easy to order online, correct order ready when you turn up to collect it, friendly staff and delicious food. Mains actually taste different and side dishes complement them. Love it!

Stopped in on a Tuesday for some take out, FYI they don't have plastic silverware. The place has amazing style, and the food came out super fast. Had the Buddha Broccoli and it was very tasty, though not spicy at all. Bar staff were great!! I'd eat here again, the menu is huge!!

Duck and cashew nuts. Only one cashew nut so that’s a bit poor. Aside from that it’s okay but didn’t like it as much as last time.

We walked in on a busy night and were able to get a great table. Service was a bit slow but they were busy so we forgave it. We had delicious food and drinks. The only reason I rated it down was the price of water. We paid 21 pound in still water for three still water bottles, after we asked for tap (free water). On top of that our beers were quite pricey for being the house beer. So half of our tab was for beverages but the food was affordable. Bring your own water!

Last night we had our first takeaway from the fat Buddha in Maidenhead, excellent food & even my very fussy hubby gave it 10 out of 10! Great website , prompt delivery & all food was vacuum packed , also the price was good , will now be our go to for takeaway or dining in , fabulous!!

Cannot fault the food or the service and will go back in a heartbeat next time I’m in the region. Last minute booking for a family group of 7 and accommodated on a busy Saturday evening with no issue at all. Kicked off with drinks in bar area, which was really lovely and then moved through to restaurant area. Food was absolutely to die for - what these guys can do to a vegetable!! All the meat eaters very happy too, with everyone raving about their dishes, with one sceptical diner even admitting the broccoli starter was amazing. And went out of their way to look after a fussy six year old. Absolutely loved it and can’t recommend enough. Wasn’t the cheapest of meals, but was well worth it.

Consistently great curry. We love to go and have a drink while waiting for a take away too. The bar is great. Always excellent service.

don't be put off if you enter this restaurant and there are not many people. it is some of the best indian food that we have ever eaten. the flavours are fantastic and the meat is cooked to perfection. I can't believe we waited so long to try it.

Ordered a takeaway. Papadums and lamb chops were very good and the chicken korma OK. Butter Chicken and Lamb Saag were very poor. Ended up in the bin. Will not be rushing back.

Don’t listen the other reviews. I have had many takeaways from The Fat Buddha and have always had a great experience. We dined in The Fat Buddha last night and it was a great atmosphere, we had great service, and the food was delicious. My partner said it was one of the tastiest curry’s he has eaten!
