We had a Sunday lunch and the beef was melt in the mouth very tasty indeed with veg very good too staff very friendly and helpful 😋

Attended a wedding here a few weeks back. The venue hall was perfect and I thought your staff were wonderful. All were incredibly friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely invested in making the day as special as possible for all guests. A rare thing, especially in some of the younger staff who absolutely did you proud. The food was also amazing, far from the all too common mass catered wedding fare. Really delicious amd lots of it. I rarely write reviews but believe in giving thanks when deserved and you guys definitely deserve it.

I took my daughter for Sunday lunch on the recommendation of a friend at Crickhowell bowls club. When we arrived there was no knowledge of our reservation and we were given a small table which was in need of a clean. The girls serving did not appear very experienced and we were not made to feel very welcome. The food was good, if £1 more for the set course than advertised. We had a lager shandy each, one main course and a floater coffee. We asked for a Tia Maria coffee, but this was not available so we opted for the waitresses suggestion of a drink similar to a Baileys. I should have checked the bill because when I got home I looked at it and I had been charged £57.40. The bill included two Baileys at £4.75 each which we had not had. I did try for a number of days to speak to someone, but the phone only rang for so long and then cut off. I have announced in the bowls club that I would NOT recommend this place.

Visited for a wedding. Well decorated inside for the ceremony. Seated in the restaurant for the main meal- grazing boards, lots of lovely cheeses, salad etc. Marquee for the evening was actually heated and warm, lovely! Evening- build your own burger bar was great. All staff were very friendly, a great day!

Booked for dinner at 6pm and at 7.15 on a Friday night we were still the only customers in there. Staff were very indifferent whether they served us or not, so when nobody came to clear our table or ask if all was OK the decision was made to leave without dessert. Problem was we couldn’t find anyone to pay for ages and had to go looking. They will never make a business here like this, despite the food being good when it was served

Good food shame about the staff attitude came outside at 19.15 couldn't see a thing no outside lights in car park very poor fell and hurt my leg iff we hadn't had our phones we could not see our car

Whilst food was reasonable, not really up to standard. Soggy veg no flavour hard roast potatoes. Meat good. Staff lacki ng in experience when serving at table. Dirty cloth dragged across one plate whist serving other diner.

Party of 6 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. Ate in the bar side due to dogs but absolutely fantastic food with very generous portions for all ages. Staff very friendly and attentive. Will definitely eat here again if we holiday here in the future.

Highly recommend the delicious Steak and Ale pie. Prompt service. Lovely staff. Just a shame you don't get to sit in the beautiful barn with the mill like it shows on the website, you only get to see it if you go to the 'inside toilets'.

Amazing food never fails to deliver great service very welcoming very impressed with the new desserts. The staff are a great team always recommend this place. Meg is a star and always make my day after seeing her face

After visiting last year and having a great meal I was very excited to return. I wish I never did!! We went to the bar was told to sit anywhere, the room was cold so we chose the table closest to the fire. We hadn’t realised that this table was also right next to the kitchen door. We ordered drinks and food, the only good thing was the food, steaks cooked perfectly and very tender. The draft through the building made it very very cold another couple even left stating it was far to cold to eat there. A lovely blonde lady did attempt to close windows and doors to stop the draft and stoke the fire, apart from that the rest of the staff were miserable and unhelpful throughout the whole meal. The staff were shouting across the bar area, they were loud and incredibly unprofessional with little regard for the fact there are paying customers sat there who really don’t want to have to hear all of your obnoxiously loud conversations! I really did feel like I was sat at a burger van rather than a restaurant. The music from the kitchen was incredibly loud also. The difference between my experience last year and this year are miles apart, which is a real shame considering this was a very much loved restaurant by partner and I.

Stopped off for Sunday lunch today. Was slightly dubious was was booked into the outside marquee. However, nothing to worry about atall. We were looking forward to a birthday meal at the Natyffin, we visited to check it out a couple of days before as we were staying on the estate. The welcome was cold to say the least, felt like we had stopped the staff talking in the back area to serve us. we sat for a drink but it was freezing cold as we weren’t allowed to shut the door. We decided to check out the menu ready for my birthday but it was something and chips and that was it. We didn’t feel very welcome or that there was much choice to eat. It was an amazing meal with great service and friendly servers going out of their way to please all the customers and all wearing masks for peoples benefits, would love to again with friends to share the experience.

First off, the food was pretty good. Steak of the day was £18 (sirloin). Was very nice, came with real home made onion rings, mushrooms and real fried chips. Dessert okay; cherry cheesecake, nice cherries but very average filling and base, nothing special really. They had only 2 starter options on the menu for some reason. Overall pretty good food, but excellent value for money.There is also a decent sized play area for the kids.Now the bad news. The restaurant was a little bit chaotic. It was mostly kids serving and they were really struggling. Many of them could not take food orders as they said they were not trained. Our plates were actually placed onto the table of another party, which I really did not like in these pandemic days. The bill was then wrong, with another parties drinks included, which they corrected, but with more waiting. So, really great value but they lacked experienced waiters and someone to oversee the service. Probably, just teething troubles re the pandemic.

Lovely pub and great food. Would definitely recommend the steak pie and the apple crumble! Make sure you check out the old mill in the back.

we booked ahead as we were staying on the Glan Usk estate. This family run pub offers traditional fayre, home cooked and excellent customer service. we ate in the evening and sunday lunch . One of the best Sunday lunches we have had out.

Only went for a drink with my husband procedures in place to ensure safety for customers was excellent. Waiting staff excellent, polite and helpful .

What do you want from a ‘meal out’? Friendly service, great food and when you ask ‘pretty please’ for extra mushrooms they give you a Himalayan proportion of them. My wife , my adult oldest daughter and myself recommend this lovely place and the mega helpful chef and waitress as ‘top class’!!!!

What a lush Sunday dinner. We visited on a hot Sunday afternoon for Sunday dinner. Sat outside, plenty of places for kids to have fun so the adults could enjoy food. Slightly overpriced, but all was fresh, hot and homemade! Have been back many times since.

Rang here on the off chance and they managed to fit us in for Sunday lunch. It's only 20 minutes from home but had never been in before. We had three course for 16.95. Garlic mushrooms and soup both fabulous. The meat on the roast lunch was beautiful, all veg cooked beautifully and cauliflower cheese great. Deserts were lovely too even though we were so full! We will be back with the children in tow. Highly recommended staff are great too.

Visited here just before Christmas and have been looking forward to calling back since. Was in Abergavenny on Sunday and called up, they were fully booked but managed to squeeze us in at extremely short notice (10 minutes!!) and gave us a great table right by the cider mill itself. We were prepared to wait for service as they'd told us it was busy, however a friendly waiter took our order within 5 minutes, and within 10 minutes of that our meals were in front of us. We asked for a bit more veg and the staff were happy to oblige, and the meal itself was stunning (I highly recommend the roast beef!). Every single member of staff was friendly, polite, and efficient, and the prices are extremely reasonable. Megan in particular was very friendly when we went to pay our bill. I cannot wait to return and cannot recommend the place enough. I'd give it 10 stars if I was able to!

Highly recommend afternoon tea. It was quirky, a variety of savoury & sweet food. Superb highly recommend. Just a drawback it was freezing & had to keep our coats on where we were seated.

We just visited nantyffin cider mill. For my birthday. And as always .we were greeted by wonderful friendly staff. That all ways willing to help .I would reck amend a visit you wont be disappointed. The food is fresh and home cooked. Cant flualt the food at all .so give it go .and you soon be back for more .

Reception was poor and unwelcoming, so much so we left immediately. On entering we were greeted with “have you booked”, not “welcome or thanks for visiting us. “. When we said no, she just walked away, so we stood there for 5 minutes and nothing happened, so we left.
