Nando's Yate in South Gloucestershire

i have waited for over two hours in a near empty, hot restaurant, with no food, only to find out i had no confirmation email, no one came to check- Two of the waiters have thought I was sexy in the past though, bosh

I eat in fairly regularly and particularly enjoy their Sunset burger. However both times I have ordered take out the burger has been completely sub par in comparison to the burger in house. Only a very small amount of the smoked pepper relish and lemon mayonnaise, making the buger too dry and smaller chicken thighs in comparison to dining in too. Not only this but this time the chicken was burnt. If you don't want to be short changed and seriously disappointed DO NOT order a delivery.

My daughter had a great evening with her friends. They loved the food. Unfortunately my daughter left some shopping. At noon on Saturday 27 Jan, I popped in to enquire if the bag was there. The young lady and man in the restaurant were fantastic, warm and friendly and the young man was as pleased as me when he found the bag. Excellent - thank you.

Really great experience. Callum was really good. Incredibly impressed with how he sorted my son out (extra tomato and medium hot). Will definitely return.

Excellent food with great staff who are friendly, smile and are very helpful. We really enjoyed our visit and will be back, but most of all we would recommend this branch of Nando's to anyone. Customer service as it should be!

We had ordered a takeaway which should have taken 15 mins. But when we arrived we were told it would be a bit of a longer wait. The server Autumn was so apologetic and friendly. She offered us a drink while we were waiting which was very kind. Then when we were told it would be another 8 minites we were offered a brownie. Considering they were obviously under staffed and busy, the front of house was great.

The best Nando’s in the area, much less wait time than longwell green or cribbs! Never had bad food here. I always pick this one

Filthy, slow service, understaffed and the staff had absolutely no control whatsoever over the customers (Sunday 12th June). The place was literally trashed. Felt really sorry for the servers. All the food was cold. No one there to greet / seat customers. No cutlery. Glasses were dirty. Genuinely awful experience. Avoid at all costs. Place was like a zoo.

I am amazed of how they make there chicken ,they make it with sick power. I would come here over and over as the service only takes 5-15 minutes to serve,phanominal waiters. Thank you

My partner and I chose to get Nandos on Sunday to avoid cooking. He was picking it up after being at the gym so it was coming close to their closing time. I can only think that the staff were feeling lazy toward the end of the shift and that’s why the quality was so awful. We were missing half our order, the chicken was dry and tasteless and cold as if it had been left out all day and then just thrown in a box to use it up. The veg was also dry and tasteless. Nothing seemed to have been cooked fresh for our takeaway and it resulted in one of us not getting our full meal and the other unable to eat most of theirs. Awful awful takeaway experience. So disappointed!

Have visited this restaurant numerous times. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. Highly recommend.

Really poor customer service, empty tables all over the restaurant, apparently although you can’t pre-book a table these are all allocated to people waiting, Really ? it’s been twenty minutes so far, no sign of anyone that may have been notified by phone that their table is ready and still the tables remain empty. Shocking way to run a business. When asked why can’t we sit at these empty table after such a long time, excuse ; we’re a little short on cutlery at the moment, very poor excuses and service, get better staff and change your booking policy.

Kymie was our server we had a lovely meal. Food was quick and delicious, love the sunset burger. Would go again.

Nando's is one of my favourite places to eat! this particular one is consistently good, never lets us down! Good service and clean. Love to go and can't wait to sit in and eat my cheeky nando's again. It is always better when you dine in, OPEN THE RESTAURANTS BORIS.

It’s was ok, it all good in there with the Covid which is good but it good and fast service and food was lovely I wasn’t very happy about, ordering and paying online didn’t seem sucure..... especially with older people as well joining queue This restaurant is only set up for the younger generation and not old people and I think should cater for both in difficult times!!! But yeh good was lovely and staff

It’s a fairly standard Nando’s. Quite busy but not ridiculously full. They had somehow forgotten to cook our chicken though and we had to wait for almost half an hour. This was because we had ordered a whole chicken. It’s quite noisy and the tables are fairly close together but it’s a Nando’s

We had a a quick bite at Nando's and it was a great as usual. The Yate restaurant is clean, with friendly staff and a fast service.

My gf and I ordered butterfly burger and avocado salad with chicken breast last night and we both got food poisoning today.. Don't really know what else to say guess the storage conditions are off

The food produced by nandos is pretty standard across the different restaurants. We were one of the first customers of the day and the staff were so disinterested in giving good service it was painful! Would it kill you to smile a bit? Coming from a retail background I really appreciate good service but when it's poor, it's really poor!

Good food and good value and staff were nice and cheerful will definitely return to the Yate Nando’s

Visited on Saturday 15th December with my partner. I’m a Nando’s addict, so the food was excellent as always. I’ve had the occasional inconsistency, but mostly it’s great from this chain. This restaurant was superbly decorated. Low level lighting complements the amazing decor. Superb ambience and seating. Well done Nando’s. I hope this will be rolled out across the board.

We are regular visitors to Nandos and you can always guarantee a great meal and very good service. Food is tasty and enjoyable and staff always friendly and helpful. Very good value for money too. They've got it just right!

At Nando's the food was very good and a good selection of drinks. Also a good selection of puddings but it would be nice to have more flavors of the frozen yoghurt. The service was good.

Lovely place, warm great staff who were very friendly. Food was great, Didn't have to eat too long for it either.

The food was okay however we did not receive a check back on our food and our plates were never cleared.

I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant as the staff are so friendly and helpful also the food Tastes Great, also the deserts are brilliant too, I wouldn’t say this would be a family environment with very young children. But it is a place for all of the family to go.

I had been to Nando’s once before In Cardiff’s St David’s centre and it was tragic but on the insistence of my son gave the place another chance albeit in Yate.

Haven’t been to a Nando’s in ages and as it was lunch time and we were outside here we thought we would pop in. Expecting it to be busy but there were lots of tables free. We were quickly seated and placed our order at the counter. First time we tried their halloumi sticks and they were delicious! Best part of the meal for me. We also had hummus with pitta and a whole chicken. All very good. Staff were really friendly and helpful. We would visit this restaurant again.

To be fair I don’t rate Nando anyway but this was worse than usual. The food was cold, the sauces were empty and the service was slow.

If you like to have to order your own food at the counter, have nobody advise you as to the system of ordering but let you sit at the table wondering. Then this place is for you, if you want staff assistance, dream on! Food was pretty mediocre, won't be going again.

What can I say really it’s Nando’s😋.the staff and the venue is always friendly and welcoming. Great food and great service. Keep up the good work guys 👍

Myself, my husband and our daughter come here once a week after taking our little one to the soft play next door. We are Nando's fans and have to say this is one of the best. It is super clean and the staff are very accommodating and great with little ones (bringing over high chairs & crayons for colouring) we have visited pretty much every Nando's in Bristol and some have gone downhill but the one in Yate always has piping hot food and a great atmosphere - event at 1pm. You don't ever feel like you have to rush out of the door. Will most defo be returning (see you next week) x

Everyone's nightmare is of course, not only finding a hair in your food, but even worse when the offending long hair is in your mouth and stuck between your teeth as you bite down on the new Fino Pitta, prompting some rather unplanned yucky mid chew flossing to remove it from one's mouth.

Come on... it's a nandos, what can go wrong? Lovely food, prices are a little high but I am a student. Lovely staff too!

The team here and especially the Manager Claire are excellent. They are so warm and friendly that they make you feel like family. I love eating in this Nando's.

This restaurant is larger than the usual size of Nando's restaurants which makes it more appealing. Our food came quickly and we had no issues. We will eat here again but due to it being a little further out we forget it is there!

I love Nando's and am excited that's it come to Yate. I'm even more pleased that you get a discount with cinema membership! I nipped in for the first time in December for a quick bite after a shopping trip. It was quite quiet in there and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I think took pity on me for being a billy no mates! The décor and the food is pretty much the same as any other Nando's though so I don't think it's any better or worse than anywhere else. On a more general note, I'm disappointed that the avocado and bean salad and changed, it was better before.

Now I'm a very big fan of any chicken place, I'm a white meat kind of guy. So anywhere that is local to me that sells chicken on the menu I'm there! Now like a lot of things in life I was a late bloomer, I didn't quite catch on to the Nando's trend a few years back when all the hype was there, I knew about it. I just never actually went to one. One I didn't have any friends and two there wasn't really one local enough to me. But now there is and it makes me so happy! I love chicken and I love Nando's!

Arrived around 5.30pm on Saturday evening & we were seated straight away. Staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean and tidy. Service was quick and food good. Can't complain as it does what it says on the tin

Ok -yes this is a review of Nando's! Guess most people think everyone has been there and knows exactly what it is... we went for the first time this evening and totally get why everyone loves it.

I've called in here for takeaways for the office a couple of times recently. The place is next to the cinema just outside Yate Shopping Centre and has plenty of parking. There are plenty of tables inside and service is always quick and efficient.

Popped into Nandos for lunch with my sister just as a busy lunchtime surge started. We weren't greeted at the door but found seats decided on 2 different types of veggie burger and ordered with hot chocolates. The food came out in good time and my portobello mushroom and halloumi burger was fantastic. My sister had the chickpea (beani) burger. Due to the rush, it was clear to see that the waiting staff had a backlog of plates to clear. It was nice to see what we thought was a chef hop out of the kitchen area and start clearing tables/ talking to customers (we found out that he was a manager). Well done guys, another 5 from me. You deliver every time!!

We went to Nandos today and received really good customer service. All the staff were polite and friendly. The food came through quickly and all together. The food was hot and tasted good. We stayed there about two and a half hours because we had a good chat and a couple of beers and we were not pressured to move on, as you can be in other establishments. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes chicken with a bit of spice. The refillable drinks are great especially if you have kids.

Had a delicious quinoa salad here recently after going to the Cineworld nearby. Nice service from friendly efficient staff.

Quick service, lovely food. Clean and friendly restaurant. Good for adults and kids. Large restaurant with out door seating. Great as Nandos always is!

First time to the Yate branch of Nandos and we had a great experience despite it being busy. Love the decor, the staff were really nice and friendly and the food was great. Will be back!

Well what more can you say? If you are familiar with Nandos then you know what to expect. This is a decent branch of a popular chicken restaurant. I am not a massive fan of nandos myself but it is nice to have one in Yate. I also like the ordering/payment system a lot!

We were welcomed by the hostess. We chose to have a platter. A whole chicken with large side order and bottomless refills.

Really enjoyed our experiences here over the last couple of months. The food is standard Nando's which I like, but has always been well prepared and promptly served. The staff have always been excellent and really good with my children.

The restaurant had been only opened for a short while. There where too many staff standing round doing nothing. The food was mediocre. There where chips and food on the floor with no attempt to clean it up. Unprofessional attitude of staff. Would not go back

Me and my husband went to Nando's with the family. The resurant was nice and everything was clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The meal was fine and came quick but my husband went for the extra hot sauce which he said was not hot like you buy in the bottles from the supermarket! Although nothing wrong with the restaurant or service me and my husband felt it was just an expensive chicken and chips and nothing special.

I love Nando's but took my parents who have rarely been. They loved it! The food was hot, quick and tasted great. It hadn't been left sizzling for ages. Great chicken. The customer service was fantastic too. My mum even had a long chat with the friendly manager about how friendly the staff all were, including him. It was a warm evening too and the large doors were open with people sat outside. It was a nice atmosphere. It's a great addition to places to eat in Yate..

Nando's is not bad food, but they do have a lack of choice and it's not as amazing as people make out. There are better restaurants nearby.

Nandos Yate needs an award for the consistently super friendly staff. The food is always fantastic but the staff are very different to the other venues in the area. I'm looking forward to trying the new desserts on Friday with my friend. I love the way you give free samples to try too!!

First time I've been to a Nando's and can see why people like it. The price was reasonable, the food was very tasty and the choice good. The service was quick with smiles to get seated and food arrived within 10 mins

Its nandos, the food is meh but you are hardly paying very much. The place is very dark. Someone turn the lights on for the back half of the room! Give the staff their due they are friendly and polite which gains it a star.

We use this nandos because it's are nearest. The restaurant is a bit soulless as all the new purpose built ones are,but its clean and tidy and the staff are all very friendly and efficient. And guess what, we had the chicken!!

9.4.16 we picked up Nandos takeaway from here. When my partner picked it up he checked through the bag and my "wrap" was labels wrong. We got home. Turned out it wasn't even a wrap it was a pitta.. Full of brown out of date looking shredded lettuce. I understand we are all human and make mistakes but it wasn't even busy and to serve food that doesn't even look in date is terrible. I will not be going to the restaurant again. It isn't a spot of Filton or longwell green.

OK first time for a Nandos as the children really wanted to try it out.We went on a Friday afternoon at 4.30 and the restaurant was very quiet,only 2 other groups of diners.It took a good 10 minutes before a member of staff explained how the ordering and menu worked, being our first time we did not know to place an order at the till,maybe this could be in the menu? Anyway food came within 10 minutes and was hot and spicey although we all found the medium sauce was a bit hotter not very medium,I think you need to experiment a bit.What I found disappointing is that, yes,the menu is mainly chicken, everything else is extra including the chips! If you didn't know any different your order would not be much,then adding the sides really bumps up the price.Overall the food tastes really nice but value for money? No sorry there are better value restaurants a stones throw away.

First visit to the Nando's in Yate. Table are not pushed together as they are in some other Nando's . Staff are professional, happy and seem that they like their job. Food excellent for price. All served with a smile. Definitely will be going again. And it is great to be somewhere where the young people go. Am sure once the cinema opens this place will be very busy.

Don't often come to Yate for food but decided to try the nandos on a Saturday night 7:30pm and it was dead quiet. Restaurant is brand new and tidy although the 'booths' needed the seats brushed down to remove the previous tables dropped bits of rice. Food was quick and good. Service was polite and quick to clear tables but not rushed. I've heard mixed reviews about staff/service. Maybe some staff are better than others as I was pleased with pretty much everything. Would go again.

Standard Nando's fare. Not as busy as others I have been to but this means the staff are much more attentive and make every effort to make sure you enjoy your visit, even topping up your soft drinks! Will definitely be back!

What a shambles! Waiting over an hour for a chicken pitta and one side. The restaurant was not even that busy. If they were short staffed, which they didn't appear to be then maybe they should have stopped taking orders....or maybe advise of service delays!

Me, my dad and my sister went here as it was close but everything went downhill after we ordered our good there was an extremely long wait for our food and when it came it was awful my sister ordered the same chicken as me yet mine was twice as big also the staff were rude and ignorant 7 staff members sat down taking up 2 tables rolling cigarettes laughing loudly and acting like children and then when a family of three enteree all the seats in the resturaunt were taken up so they left all in all terrible experience and will not be visiting again

A really nice meal with family. Never had a bad meal at Nandos But this was our first meal at the Yate restaurant. We will revisit at sometime.

Having not been a huge fan of the chain, I decided to give it a go since we now have one in our town.

I have been here on two occasions and both times have had a pleasurable experience. Friendly staff, lovely food and nice atmosphere. Will come again.

As its recently opened we went to visit late lunchtime and arrived to a very quiet restuarant. We had a choice of seats and seated by a happy and friendly chap.

Really enjoyed the food. Same great nandos standard as always. Will be back soon. Tip for manager: dont allow staff to sit at tables with feet on booth seats when not busy / on breaks. Does not look very professional.

The home of Wing Roulette has arrived in Yate. It's not as cramped as other Nando's restaurants with a nice circulation area bi-secting the dining area.

Came here with my two children, this place is fab. Lovely and clean, nice atmosphere, quick and attentive service, food was amazing! Our meet and greet lady Melissa was fantastic with my children, and gave excellent service. Will definitely be returning.

We visited here on the way back from westonbirt and I must say it's the best nandos we have ever visited and we have been to quite a few. The service was exceptional and the food was lovely. We would definitely be back again

Thought we'd try the new Nandos for lunch. As we have a 5 month old, I now see restaurants through different eyes- those with a pram!

Lunch time visit and I assume new and inexperienced staff ? Ordered some beer and platter. Platter arrived no beer, asked and it was delivered but I was charged again. But to the waiters credit he sorted it straight away. Quality of the chicken was not as good as I have had before and it was 'just cooked' rather than a crispy skin.

I visited as a group of four people last night and had a wonderful experience! All of the staff were very attentive, clearing our plates away promptly, asking us if we wanted any desserts or coffee and taking our payment at the table to save us queuing again. The food was exceptional and served quickly considering we'd arrived just after a large group of about 12 people! The staff really made this experience better, from making small talk about the food ordered to offering to refill our drinks for us even though it's usually self service. I'll definitely be going back!
