Amazing food and service! So lovely 🩷🩷🩷 You should come one day. I went with my friends and the staff were so kind! everything clean and delicious

The chickens were never the biggest, but the size of the breasts and thighs now must be coming off malnourished sparrows. Nandos is no longer value for money. The sides are all cheap carbs which fill you up, giving the impression of a large meal, but the amount of meat you actually get for the money is ridiculously small. Knowing the chickens arent the biggest, we ordered more than the menu suggests. According to the menu, we had enough food for more than 4 people. Actually the chicken was barely sufficient for two people. You'd be better off going to a generic chicken hut place if you want cheap chicken, or pay slightly more and goto a decent restaurant.

On the high street and very busy by 9pm but we were immediately seated. Server was a little terse but was helpful. Ordered via the app. Easy and quick. Some things obviously not available when searching. Food was out equally quick preceded by the drinks. £59 for three mains and two wines in London is very reasonable. The food was as brand. Chicken was tasty. Not dry. Chips a little crispy. Table had a major wobble. Needs sorting. Would usually visit stand alone places when in London but was a little rushed but left full and happy.

Came in after a long days work and was greeted by friendly staff. My food came out in good time and was delicious as always and I feel it’s good value for money, especially helped with the bottomless drink option. Overall had a great experience.

The staff provides good service to introduce food when coming in. The food portion is little than I expect and the pictures on the menu has little bit misled that not matched with the words description. The fries is hot , seasoned and crispy.

I had a wonderful experience at this branches Nando’s and what made that experience was by the amazing customer service from your employee Jonathan. He was very welcoming and patient with us throughout.

We sat down for a quick and easy lunch and nandos never disappoints especially when you have team members like Hannah. She’s been super kind and and smiley. This is all we want! Thank you

This is the second Nandos experience in the past year. It’s so good in Edinburgh where I had it before. Sadly, this was not good. The chicken was so dry I almost couldn’t eat it. The fries were not warm and the corn was dried out. Overall a bad experience. Won’t be returning.

Worst experience ever in a Nando’s, shambolic service. Ordered on the app and people ordering at the counter got their meals faster. Meals and sides were coming out one at a time. There was confusion about drinks and glasses. Staff didn’t seem to be bothered.

Got there just as they were closing. We took what they had left. They only allowed take out. Very tasty chicken. The lemon pepper garlic was flavorful.

I arrived at Nados Spitalfield around 12.50 on a Thursday for a birthday lunch. 10 of my coworkers arrived before me and had already had their food on the table. I was told that the waiting time for food would be 30mins even if I order now and it might be quicker for me to order take away. But then the take away website was shut because they were too busy. So I asked if I can grab some takeaway elsewhere and join my friends but was told it was not allowed. So I was just sitting there doing nothing and have no food watching my friend having lunch. Overall rude manager and unhelpful employee. Not gonna come back ever.

Hurtig frokost efter rejse til London. Vi ankom midt i frokosttid u London, så flere spisesteder var pænt pakket. Vi fik et bord og fik bestilt maden via QR-kode/app. Glastil drikkelse kom hurtigt. Maden tog dog lidt tid, men der var også travlt. Hvem kan ikke li' Nandos 🙂 Min og jeg var godt mætte og tilfredse. Det er ikke noget specielt, men ok til prisen Gerne igen 🙂

Lads/ladies of nandos commercial street I order chicken from you lot on a regz; during this global panoramic, you’ve literally contributed to 77% of my weekly protein intake. People tell me I overhype nandos. But they’re wrong. Nandos chicken is top teir mid-speed food! It’s a hill I WAS willing to die on... until today! Today I ordered the boneless platter, the boneless thighs are like manner from Heaven. Like CRACK!, but today was different. .. I was so hype when I opened the box, and I found A HAIR as in from a HUMAN!, lodged into the butterfly chicken... I was distraught ...BUT, the chicken looked so good, and I remembered, there’s nobody here... I said it’s calm, it’s only a hair. I’m not a fairy! I once ate a half a cheeseburger from a bin. On a dare (I used to be on a uni rugby team, they were different times). So anyway, I said screw it, and persevered. (TERRIBLE DECISION). So I’m biting into one of the boneless thighs, at this point im hella excited for that ever-so-slightly-crisp skin lathered in peri-peri hot sauce. ... but to my surprise, my tongue was actually met with the something resembling the consistency of a soggy t-shirt! U know that scene in kidulthood when mooney finds an onion in his Burger. .. that barely coooked chicken skin, took me on the exact same emotional rollercoaster. I swear, I love you guys/gals, 77-79% of my weekly protein intake comes from you. You never done me wrong until today. I never write reviews. Like never. But you broke my heart today 2/5 PS. I also want to flag that my coleslaw was fizzy! No cap! Oli

First one back since covid 19 and boy was it missed. Over ordered. Standard. Nutty nuts and the halloumi sticks with jam to start, banging. Thighs and peri chips also dearly missed and the wrap on the side was overkill. Didn’t have room for the coleslaw. If I had one negative it would be the fact man couldn’t caress the sancho sauce, I hope I get the opportunity to one day. Covid compliant which made it hard eating the a mask on but spose that’s life these days. Maybe 5/5 is a bit much for a chain restaurant but like I said, I fking missed this place. I eat quite often in Nando’s but the usual one I go is closed so we decided to eat in Spitalfields. Upon arrival which I had the reservation to I was sitted by the host in training in table 10, it’s the worst table but as it’s in the middle of a passage way. I asked the host that was training If it was possible to change to a table in the back, the restaurant was almost empty and all tables in the back were empty, got declined by the lady host with the excuse that those tables were for bigger groups, no issues so far. I was not aware the promotion Eat Out has finished, thinking they forgot the voucher code I called the host and she explained that the promo had finished. No warm done, ordered the food and paid straight away. To my surprise not even 3 minutes later she sits 2 guys on the table I asked! Wtf!! I was fuming!! I swear if I had not paid already I would just walk out. I didn’t mention nothing to them and just ate my food but the experience was ruined already. The two food runners were doing a good job (Tatiana and Priscilla) and that’s the only reason for the 3* review or this visit would be a 1*. I don’t know the 2 hosts names as they had no name tags. I’m a restaurant manager myself and I also have to give these “white lies” once in a while to clients but I would not lie and then prove I’m lying to the client in front of them, it was an empty restaurant... 45 minutes to close when I left all those tables were still empty...Food was ok but I’m wont elaborate as I already wrote too much! That was plain dumb and disrespectful! Visited at 17:30 on 02/12/20

No puedo felicitar al personal lo suficiente. Cada miembro del personal tiene una sonrisa y excelentes habilidades de servicio al cliente desde que ingresa hasta que se va. Durante estos tiempos difíciles, es especialmente difícil para ellos, ya que están sirviendo las cosas que normalmente serían autoservicio. Están haciendo un trabajo increíble y realmente hacen todo lo posible para satisfacer las solicitudes de los clientes, ¡incluso cuando era muy difícil complacernos! Mis amigos y yo (no somos estudiantes ni millennials) a menudo elegimos Nando's antes o después de un viaje al cine, ya que es muy fácil y sabes lo que obtienes. My wife and I went to this restaurant for lunch yesterday, with our baby son. The music was very loud, so that my wife had to repeat her order several times to the manager. When I asked the manager (Camila) if she could turn the volume down a bit, she replied "That's what the music is like". When I asked her if she could do this as a favour since we had a small baby, she said she would "see what she could do" (the volume remained the same). When we told her we wanted to move to a table further away from the loudspeaker she told us off, saying that that table was for a larger party, even though the restaurant was completely empty.The food was OK, however some of the staff at this restaurant would probably benefit from customer service training. We won't be going back.

Le pregunté a mi hija dónde estaba el baño (ella acababa de regresar), dijo que bajara las escaleras y que siguiera tu nariz. Aparte de eso, el pollo no tenía el sabor que esperábamos de nuestra experiencia con otros Nandos, no estaba "apagado" ni nada terrible simplemente no tan bueno como esperábamos. Hubiera sido 3 estrellas si no hubiera sido por el horrible olor.

Visité Londres, así que dejé todo el restaurante a mi alrededor porque quería mis nandos, así que pedí una comida para llevar, y me asignaron a este nandos de Spitalfield, mi envío llegó incompleto, y la comida no se parecía a los nandos habituales, la bolsa que vino. Parecía que lo habían recogido de la papelera o que se había reutilizado, y no había cuberterías, les llamé por teléfono para informarles y me dijeron que tardaría mucho tiempo en conseguir mis cuberterías y que la comida que faltaba en mi pedido era Mi comida para niñas pequeñas, pero a esa hora de la noche no estaban preocupadas si recibía alguna comida o no, el chico del teléfono se ofreció a reembolsar mi dinero por la parte que faltaba, estaba tan molesta y cansada que no lo hice. Ni siquiera discuto con él, pero nunca pediré un nandos para llevar

Lite segt med beställningen då dom inte berättade att man skulle beställa i baren. Så där satt vi en stund, beställde och maten kom snabbt. Rikligt med mat och gott. Prisvärt ställe men ett minus var att dom inte pratade portugisiska det tycker jag att man ska på en portugisisk restaurang. Piri-Pirin va inte så stark som vi hoppats på så lägg på lite extra sås. Pedimos un takeway. Mientras esperaba, vi al tipo asar a mi pollo jugando con las pinzas de sujeción y golpeando a su colega con ellos, quien respondió lanzándole pequeñas chuletas de comida. Luego, mientras mi pollo todavía estaba en la parrilla, él comienza a limpiar el resto de la parrilla con agua a alta presión (espero que solo fuera agua), derramando grasa quemada en mi comida. La cereza en la parte superior del pastel era el tipo que preparaba la pita, manejando pan y ensalada sin guantes, con las mismas manos que limpiaban la cocina unos minutos antes.Ni siquiera lo comí, directamente en el cubo.

Entramos en el restaurante, la camarera llamada Camila nos dio la mesa 25, esperando una larga orden, la cajera llamada Silvia, muy grosera, cuando mi novio pidió su hamburguesa al atardecer, dijo sin espinacas y pimienta, de repente ella le lanzó una mirada extraña. después de eso fuimos a la mesa 25 para esperar nuestra comida y la mesa ya estaba tomada de otra persona, luego llamé a la camarera Camila para preguntar qué sucedió y por qué mi mesa fue tomada muy grosera sin siquiera pedir perdón por lo que pasó, ella comenzó a tome todos los recibos y vaya a cambiarlos en la caja fuerte; de todos modos, todo el personal parecía confundido acerca de la mesa y entregó la comida a las mesas equivocadas, tuve que pedir cubiertos porque no tenían ninguno. . . Passati per una veloce sosta a prendere un caffè..... beh obbligatoriamente ti devi sedere al tavolo, ma metterò in fila alla cassa per ordinare e dopo soli 30’ sono arrivato caffè, cappuccino e die pasticcini....posso dire che mi sembra un tempo esagerato per un semplice caffè!....per il cibo non so... ma l’attesa per il caffè posso assicurare che è stata lunga? Nonostante due solleciti...il prezzo nelle media 10£

La comida y el servicio fueron fantásticos, sin embargo, un viaje a la habitación de los hombres con mis 2 hijos me llevó la experiencia. El olor al bajar las escaleras era bastante fuerte. Una vez cúbico con el interior está junto (o no) con cinta aislante. La cerradura de la puerta en el suelo y un rollo de papel sucio en la barandilla no en el soporte. Después de experimentar eso para salir y lavarse las manos, ninguno de los dos conductores manuales está trabajando. Un mantenimiento muy básico que defrauda a este establecimiento.

I liked their food. Wasn't anything special. Make sure that you order chicken if you go there (the burger option is quite small, I'd go with thighs next time)

We arrived at 6pm, we were given a table quickly, waitresses were friendly, food came out in less than 20 minutes. Tasty food and drinks, well priced and nice atmosphere.

Came here with work colleagues. Service was pleasant and fast, and food was tasty. I had the medium heat chicken pitta (£6.25) with added pineapple (£0.60), so £6.85 total.

The usual Nando's menu but what excellent service and lovely staff, located handy for the pubs and spittalfields markets this Nando's is great for grabbing something to eat while visiting the area. Also do food to take away if your on the move!

Little to say other than the food was great and the service perfect. Quick friendly and with a smile.

Visited on a trip to London for a quick bite to eat; tables were dirty, staff made no contact so sat for ten minutes and then left.

Nada especial, excepto la preciosa decoración en este Nando's. La comida era como debería ser, y el personal fue cortés y amable. Los trabajadores mal mi pedido pero eran muy regretful cuando me quejé. No hay tiempo que tardaron en cambiar el orden y se disculpó varias veces! El personal parece ser de pie charlando en vez de ayudar a los huéspedes. Algunos de los cubiertos estaba muy sucio y todavía tenía Los vestigios antiguos de comida. .

Can't really go wrong with Nando's. Staff friendly (actually made a mistake with my order but it was quickly rectified), food was as expected, came out fast and was inexpensive. Will return.

Un sobresaliente para Nando's - tuvimos una cena muy sabrosa con el excelente servicio de camarera encantadora. Nos habíamos escapado de un restaurante vecino donde el servicio era pésimo y había un olor desagradable procedente de los inodoros. La noche estaba de vuelta en la vía gracias a Nando.

Ristorante molto carino dove ho assaggiato un pollo davvero squisito. C'è la possibilità di scegliere vari tipi di salse tra quella extra forte e quelle dolci. Rapporto qualità prezzo nella media.

Personale gentilissimo e cibo buono, un posto consigliabile per un mordi e fuggi in ambiente pulito ed ospitale.

We went to Nando's on our first night (a Friday night) in London and it was disappointing. We ordered the 10 chicken wings, the whole chicken with sides (mushy peas, mashed potatoes, and corn), and a side of hummus. The chicken wings and hummus were good, but the whole chicken was dry and flavorless. The sides were below par. It was an average meal and overall underwhelming. The service at this branch was fast and friendly though. It was the first time any of us has been to Nando's so someone explained to us the various levels of sauce (mild to hot), and the ordering process. I would probably not eat at Nando's again.

Nando's stinks like a chicken farm. Not sure why it is so popular. I am not going back unless I am starving.

My friends and me we decided to eat at Nando's even if I'm not really fun of. We ordered in 2 rounds, my friend and his boyfriend food and then me. 15 minutes after my food arrived. Before their food. Then my friend speak with the waiter (Italian blonde hair) to chase our ticket, obviously he doesn't have much manner in hospitality to deal with this, he said I'm gonna check and he never came back, then my friend chase him again and he says I will check. He came back and told us that he need to see our orden cause they lost the one in the kitchen (already 30 minutes since we ordered) he came back and says they doing the side dishes now, left the ticket and go. Then we though this is not right at all. We call the supervisor and when he came our food just arrived 34 minutes later! 20 minutes later than mine. He came over we explain to him y asked us how to make us happy my friend says I just wanna now why so late, my instead I says I want something extra in our meal. He offered us a cake on the house, when I really wanted is was the wine that we drunk waiting for our meals. Not very impress even if we have the cake on the house but just a it more of customer services it will have been lovely to sort out this delay in a different way. That's why im not fun of Nando's.

Now between me and my girlfriend, we've been to a fair few different Nando's restaurants around the world. This meal was one of the worst. For a restaurant specializing in Chicken. it was dry and pretty tasteless. Even a smothering of sauce was no help. Our chips ordered with peri peri salt, came with very little, and when we asked about getting some more we were spoken to with attitude, and offered no explanation, as to why we couldn't have any.20mins we sat at our table too with finished plates, far too long.I wont be returning here, and this experience alone has put me off of the nandos chain.Awful staff and awfull food, simple!

La prima volta è' stata nel 2009 e così ogni volta che veniamo a Londra veniamo a mangiare qui perché si mangia bene e costa poco (e gli standard londinesi).Il servizio e fai da te (ordinare, prendere da bere e le posate) ma il personale è' sempre gentile e disponibile. Pollo buono e ben cotto, così come le ali di pollo o il wrap.Per chi beve solo acqua naturale, è' gratis, basta chiedere un bicchiere è nell area bibite c'è il distributore di acqua e ghiaccio. I soft drink sono refill, per chi paghi una volta e bevi quanto vuoi. Provate la torta chock a lot cake: è la fine del mondo!!!Ottimo per i bambini, hanno un menù per loro a 6,50 sterline e colori e foglio per disegnare. In 3, con un menù bimbi, è un dolce abbiamo speso 24 sterline.

Pollo cotto molto bene, per il resto servizio scarso, porzioni anche. Nessuno all'entrata ti dice come funziona, e cioè che il tavolo si deve apparecchiare in autonomia e che si ordina tutto preventivamente alla cassa. Poi verrà qualcuno a portare il cibo. Non ci riandrei.

One of the worst meals I've ever head. The garlic bread was almost inedible. The chicken burger had hardly any meat in it at all. The bun was dry and chewy - like it was stale. The chips were hardly cooked. The service was absolutely shocking. I could see all 6 of our plates ready on the pass. The staff stood around chit chatting until they had gone cold. Our plates were then brough to our table ONE AT A TIME. Mine was last and my co diners were half way through their food when mine arrived. Absolutely disgusting service.

포르투갈식 치킨요리를 팔구요, 난도스에서는 매움의 세기를 조절가능합니다. 소스가 따로 나오며 갈릭소스가 맛있습니다. 한국음식과는 다른 매움입니다. 타바스코소스랑 비슷하지만 또 다르구요. 1/4 치킨, 1/2 치킨, 치킨한마리를 시킬수있어 친구와 나눠먹기에도 좋구요, 디저트로 나타라는 타르트가 달지만 맛있습니다. 요거트도 있어요.

Went one night for a late dinner as meetings for the day over ran.Ordered our food and went to get drink from the drinks machine and the guy said you best be quick as I am about to clear that down for the night??!!Then went to get sauces and was told again by the same guy that I could not have sauces as he had cleaned them ready for the next day.So regardless of all the new customers who had walked in we could not use anything and had to go to the next level to get drinks and sauces. I hate to complain but boy this guy was rude and the most unhelpful ever.Will not be going to that branch again !

ogni volta che vado a Londra o Dublino DEVO mangiarci. i locali sono ben arredati e ampi, adatti anche a tavolate. in più adoro il refill delle bibite ;) l'ultima volta in Commercial st ho preso il "no bones" - polletto e ali tutto senza ossa. in realtà era una portata per due ma ho mangiao anche per la mia girl praticamente. salse a go-go, per chi adora il pollo è un paradiso.

Fairly standard for Nandos. Its basically a fast food chain so you can't expect too much. That said food was ok and service was quick and friendly.

We went in and were soon shown to a table which was rather tacky to the touch and could have done with more cleaning. We ordered and duly waited...and waited...and waited. It took probably over 1/2 an hour to turn up at a time when the restaurant wasn't overly busy. I had a chicken burger and the size of the piece of chicken was so small it was gone in two bites. The meal was cold as well, which probably explains why it took so long to reach us. I suspect it was out on the pass for sometime before being brought to our table. This was my second visit to a Nandos, and probably my last!

Just round the corner from Liverpool St station, we popped in here for tea after seeing the Xmas lights in the West End and while waiting for our train home. Fast service, tasty food, even the small side of chips was big, nice sauces to add as you like. Relatively good value for London (which seemed very expensive to us Aussies). Bottomless yoghurt was a simple and cheap dessert for kids, but sadly several of the other desserts we wanted had run out. Loos left something to be desired, but the staff were soon on to fixing them up.

Isso dificulta uma refeição mais tranquila, porque depois você acaba querendo repetir ou pedir sobremesa, e tem que fazer todo o processo de novo. O caixa sempre tinha fila e os atendentes não estavam tão bem preparados para receber um turista com dúvidas e alguma limitação com a língua. Achei um lugar frequentado por locais, com tratamento voltado para locais e habitués.

The service was fast. The staff are friendly. The food is average. Nandos originally introduced piri piri to the UK mainstream market however there are so many places offering better quality food. I ordered a quarter chicken with chips and a side. The chicken was dry and I'm aware they have many sauces available however there are other places doing piri piri and the chicken is still succulent and juicy. For me nandos is a fast food type restaurant. I feel the prices are a bit high as the quality is not as high. The chips were fine. I do prefer nandos to most fast food places but feel it's standard of food has gone downhill a bit. I would recommend this restaurant as it's big and the service is good but there are other places doing piri piri much better.

This is a really good branch of the chain. The meals came quickly and were delicious. The staff are polite and friendly and the restaurant clean and very presentable. A safe bet for a quick meal with children. The bottomless yogurt is a big hit.

Siamo entrati quasi per caso in questa catena vicino whitechapel, ad essere onesti non la conoscevamo, ma il cibo era molto buono, dagli hamburger di pollo ai piatti classici, il costo è medio basso.

I just took a friend here for his first Piri-Piri infused chicken experience and as he finished his last morsel he said to me, "I didn't know what happiness was until I'd been to Nando's!"I am somewhat of a Nando's connoisseur and I happily rate commercial street as one of the best branches in London; fantastically knowledgeable staff, service with a smile and perfectly grilled chicken every time.

Good chicken and that's about it. Nando's as a chain has been taking over high streets up and down the country. With celebs tweeting about it to earn the infamous black nando's card. More prized than the black Amex card. It's chicken it's good even if a little pricey.

I never had been in Nandos before and I don`t think I would go back again. I had a chicken wrap and it was so dry and the piece of chicken too small. I rather have fried chicken in a corner shop.

One of the daughters was insistent on trying this place, we all piled in expecting chicken piri having spent some time in Portugal maybe our expectations were too high... what can I say? weird set up with the service, this place attracts loud city personalities that if you don't mind listening to everything about them then you are ok... not really much else to say, chicken not piri, dry, sides bland. We didn't and won't be going back.

This is the closest Nandos to where I work. I have been often and receive consistently poor service. An example was yesterday. I ordered my meal in the middle of eight of us on a table. It wss midday and the restaurant was not busy. Everyone received their meal except me. I waited ten minutes. I saw a plate up on the counter. Five member of staff werehanging around and not working. Two were right near the plate. I had to call them over so they would bring my food. They also forgot a ccolleague's chips. The service here is consistently very poor. It is actually slightly better when it is busy!

In london late on Friday so wanted some dinner and there was Nando's when other places were closing! We had the houmous starter with pitta bread which was good. Allayne had the Caesar salad which was very good and I had the 1/4 chicken on mago & lime with fries and mixed salad.In both cases the food was more then enough for us but before we had finishe Zolton (the waiter) came over with an offer of a free dessert or two! But we decided on just one, the chocolate cheesecake which just finished the meal off.Having seen in the press some indifferent reports on Nando's I was not to sure what to expect, so with the meal and free dessert we were very impressed.

My husband and I had just come out of a BBC recording of Songs of Praise. It was gone 10.00pm and we were very hungry. My husband suggested Nando's and it was near to where we were parked, so I thought perfect. We were greeted by a young girl waiting to receive us and show us a table. No one I saw was left waiting to be served when they came through the door.We had a lovely humus and warm pitta bread starter with a piri piri sauce which was very tasty indeed and then a Salad for me and Chicken, chips and salad for my husband. The food was excellent and we were even offered a piece of chocolate cheesecake on the house. My coffee was hot and went down a treat and my husband had a soft drink which you can replenish at your leisure.We would definitely recommend popping into Nando's as it is good value for money in every respect.

Nandos are great for chain restaurant and do great food.A little expensive for what you get but still ok as a sociallable event

It's overpriced and they miss things out. Cold corn and missing side orders. The chicken piece was horribly stringy ... and the "service" is one annoying useless polish clone after another. Avoid.

Waterloo. I used to go to this Nando's pretty much all the time. You can't beat a Nando's on a Sunday once you've been around the market and Brick Lane. Some of the restaurants around here are pricey and Nando's is reasonable. It used to be cheaper but the prices have gone up a bit. It is not such a bargain to eat here anymore. Nevertheless, the food is good, cooked well and very tasty. The seating area near the window is good. You get what you pay for basically. I love 5 chicken wings with rice and corn on the cob. If I'm not happy with the food then I say something and they always oblige by getting me another plate of food. The only reason I've stopped going here is because the one in Waterloo is new and with all things new everything looks clean and nice. If you're a family then go here as it won't cost a bomb to feed the family. If you like your chicken spicy then definitely go here.

Went to the Spitalfields market, wished we had eaten in there! We saw Nandos on the high street and opted for lunch there. Usual choice of fare, but a very dark and dindgy restaurant. View from window table was awful, and most of my food was cold. Not the best Nandos - would not go here again

Popped in here in February after visiting The Shard as we were hungry, tired and cold and didn't want to spend time searching for a meal. This fitted the bill as it was unfussy and straightforward.We ordered to whole chickens, cut into pieces, with different flavourings on each, and they came with flavoured rice, chips and coleslaw. You then help yourself to spicy sauces that are dotted around the room on shelves. It came to around £40 for 4 of us, not including drinks.Having popped downstairs to use the facilities I noticed that the stairwell and floors were very dirty and dusty and certainly needed cleaning. Glad I'd eaten before I saw this or I may have gone else where!!Fine if you don't want anything special or expensive. Also very noisy due to wooden furniture and floors but there was some excellent local artwork on the walls.

If you love ready meals from the supermarket and overly sweet sauces then this is the place for you. If mass produced food served by poorly paid staff is your thing then save money and go to McDonalds.

Nando's è è una catena di ristoranti portoghesi trapiantati nel cuore londinese, se ne trovano diversi in tutta la città. La specialità è il pollo peri-peri (si tratta del peperoncino bird's eye) ma si può avere il proprio volatile nella forma e nella cottura che si preferisce e poi abbinarlo a quello o quell'altro condimento. C'è una scelta di salse incredibile, lo consiglio soprattutto ai giovani. Un appunto che farà piacere a chi non è proprio a suo agio con la lingua: 3 camerieri su 4 erano italiani.

I have never been to Nando's before and tonight we walked past the one in Liverpool Street London, couldn't be bothered to cook and thought we would give it a go. A friendly member of staff welcomed us and showed us to a table then explained the strange way that this restaurant works. You choose your food, go and order it from a bar together with drinks then you pay. So they get your money up front and no waiting staff to take the order. You then go to another station to collect cutlery, sauces, napkins and water to take back to your table. The food is delivered by a server. So far so good, or so we thought. I LOVE peri peri chicken and that is Nando's signature dish. They even have a chicken on a metal stick on each table to signal to the servers that you have not finished your meal. What arrived was a "lump" of chicken like meat covered in the "peri peri" sauce, chips that were of less standard than McDonalds (McDonalds chips are great!) and the chips were cold. The best food was the mushy peas. At least they could have given us a piece of chicken that looked a bit like a chicken piece. Once we had finished our meal they ask you if you want desert and coffee. We had ice cream which came in an earthenware pot which clearly is delivered to the store that way, no doubt manufactured somewhere off site. If the cost of the food matched its disgusting presentation I could understand it, but no, it was of equal cost to any of the group restaurants (Pizza Express, Zizzi, Prezzo, Ask etc) and of a very much lower service and quality. The restaurant seemed to be packed with non english students who clearly enjoyed it. Nando's gets a thumbs down from me.

Standard Nando's so food at a consistent standard but I'm sorry to say, the service was lacking. This was a lunch hour, not a lunch afternoon.Took nearly 40 minutes for food to come out.Everything else was fine though.

This aplies to the Nando's restaurants as a whole, not particularly the one in this location.I have been to Nandos once and it'll surely be my last time. I would not eat there even if I could do it for FREE! It is basically a rip off and no value for your money.1) It is marketed as a portuguese restaurant. For someone who has lived in Lisbon for a few years I feel insulted to be sold that as portuguese food! Ladies an gentlemen, that's AFRICAN food. Period.2) Nando's is a fast food venue. It is closer to McDonald's than an entry-level restaurant (like pizza express, for instance). However prices are far away from MacDonald's3) Food is very pricey for what it is. Let's not forget they mainly sell chicken! The cheapest and most affordable food one can buy!4) There's virtually no service, as you have to go to the counter to order your food.I can see how this happened. Some greedy guy a few years ago wanted to make lots of money quickly and decided to start a food venue. He wanted to maximise its profit, so obviously he decided to base his menu on the cheapest of the cheapest...chicken (the cheapest meat ingredient). He had a dilema, since "how can you differentiate selling chicken, from say, KFC?". Simple, he branded it as portuguese (a country that most people know little about but sounds "mediterranean" and is usually associated with good food. Nevermind the menu has nothing to do with Portugal. Starting from Peri-Peri (which portuguese write as piri-piri), and the massive use of spices, never seen in portuguese cuisine before (as said before, this is African food)...this man then decides to serve whole or 1/2 chickens, so you feel as if you're getting a lot for your money, when in fact you're mostly paying for bones.Nando's is, all in all, another UK-based rip off restaurant concept.
