We booked an area for drinks as part of our office Christmas party - we had pre-ordered drinks to be ready when we arrived, but when we turned up to the empty bar, the drinks were nowhere to be seen, and when we asked the bar staff, they just shrugged and said the manager wasn’t there (no idea why they needed a manager to be there; to show them how to open beer bottles perhaps?) Twice we ordered some gin and sodas, and were actually served sugar syrup and soda both times - completely mind-blowing that you could confuse the two. We eventually got an almost sarcastic apology when we realised what they’d served us, but the bar staff we just incredibly rude the entire time we were there.Considering it was only 17.30 when we got there, the toilets were absolutely disgusting and we just had to kept telling people to wait until we got to the next place - not the kind of conversation you want to be having with your CEO...Utterly utterly dreadful - Shoreditch is full of great bars, go to ANY of the others and save yourself from the awful start to your night like we had!

This place was great a few years ago, but it’s now dreadful, on the fri night before Xmas it was almost deserted. There was one barman working who refused to serve us cocktails as he was alone behind the bar (nobody else was waiting), the downstairs is now closed (used to be a disco type place). Dreadful, bring back the old place. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

We arranged our department (not full company) Christmas meal at this location....The food, was truly terrible. Freezing cold (no matter which pre-ordered option) and the sauces served smelled like cigarette butts!The group size was 60-70, but as mentioned we pre-ordered so there should have been no issues!The telling point was hot bread being brought out in request after the main - which there was practically a fight over!!Do not come here!

Called in for a drink on Sunday night while on our way for food. Very strong smell of grass at the front door. Girl behind the bar was friendly however upon taking a seat the table was dirty, interior was drab and there was a strong smell of urine. Was it incense? Was it actually piss? Really not sure but elected not to hang around and find out. We’ll not be back.

Bonny makes the best Caipirinha ever! Went there on a Tuesday night, super chilled and comfortable, good for friends and dates as you can talk without the place being crowded.

Came here on a saturday night at about 10, the bar staff refused to serve drinks that were on the menu. 4 single drinks then amounted to £40. Will not be returning.

Seriously understaffed means that the service here is appalling. Waited forever to get served at the bar. Credit card machine was down so we had to pay with cash and then they had no change. Barman forgot the water as part of our order and there’s no water available to serve yourself. We ended up cancelling our food order as it was taking so long. This is the second time we’ve been here - last time over a year ago and we vowed never to come back but a talk we’d signed up to was being held here. Definitely wouldn’t come back - honestly find anywhere else but here!

Apareció para la cena de las 6 pm en el Soultown Mansion, ya que mi hija la había reservado para nuestro aniversario a través de Wowcher y el personal nos dijo que había sido cancelada la noche anterior. ¿Por qué no nos lo dijo la empresa que organiza el lugar? Nos enviaron un correo electrónico el jueves para decir que todo estaba bien y esperando la experiencia. Una señora dijo que en realidad tenía contacto con el gerente del evento el sábado por la mañana alrededor de las 11 am para decir que todo estaba bien. Cuando subimos el lugar, el panorama era muy triste y necesitaba una renovación completa. La pintura se estaba pelando de las paredes y había numerosas bombillas que daban al lugar una imagen muy mala. El personal estaba totalmente perdido y en un momento el chef dijo que él era el gerente y luego un camarero dijo que él era el gerente, pero aparentemente no había ningún gerente en el lugar. Seguramente sabiendo que un evento fue cancelado, debería haber habido un gerente para explicar la situación en lugar de confiar en el personal del bar para explicar el problema. Había una hija y su mamá y papá que se habían presentado de Cheshire para asistir al lugar. No reservaría un evento futuro en este lugar. Tal vez fue un regalo de Dios que este evento haya sido cancelado ya que el lugar era una inmersión total, especialmente cuando hay otros lugares en esta área que brindan un mejor servicio. We visited this establishment for drinks at a gathering if friends. From outside it looks a lovely place, but staff were found to be struggling with workload, unhelpful, and after waiting st the bar for almost 10 minutes without any recognition from bar staff, we chose to leave....as had others we observed who had been waiting.

If I could give this restaurant no stars I would. A table for 6 had been booked weeks in advance for my birthday and a £50 deposit paid. My friends and I turned up, the restaurant was shut. It had been closed for a private event and they had not had the decency to call and tell us. My friend called and spoke to the manager and as soon as she mentioned the £50 she had paid, he put the phone down. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. I will never go back and everyone should AVOID!

Desperate for a cocktail this was our first stop in shoreditch off the train & on an extremely busy Saturday night. Managed to get a spot at the bar but service was very slow and they’d run out of the special cocktail they were still advertising on the chalk board. Cocktails were good however and considering how busy it was I guess the wait couldn’t be helped. Had a couple and enjoyed our time there watching the comings and goings of a busy bar.

The service we received was the worst service I’ve ever had in a restaurant! We went here for my sisters birthday, we booked for 7:30pm.. on arrival they said we can’t serve food until 8:30pm so you can have a free round of drinks (at this point thought, ok fair enough). Sat at our table, 20 mins later nobody had come to take drink orders so had to ask someone! Got to 8:45, still nobody had come to take food orders or let us know what was happening.. so had to ask again.. they said will be another half hour! So we asked to speak to the manager (a man with long blonde hair, who couldn’t care less!) the waiter came back and said the manager is too busy to come over and will be 10 mins! He eventually came over and really had nothing to say.. it was like we were just an inconvenience to him! Needless to say we left and went elsewhere.

Ordered the seafood linguine- pasta was soft and I ate it only because I was hungry.. the food tasted gross-had to add salt to be able to down it by force.

The toilets are gross. The whole place stinks of urine . The bar tenders have dead eyes and are not friendly. Give this place a miss . The venue by westbourne grove is much nicer

Don't mind paying more for drinks in London but for 3 vodka and cokes £32!!! The Pepsi was from a plastic bottle for which we were charged £7.50! Complete joke of a place, will never return.

My boyfriend and I visited lastnight with another couple and were initially impressed with the decor and music playing.

A mon souvenir c’était un bel endroit, sympa mais ce soir je me rend compte que nombreuses choses ont changés. Staff très jeunes, impolies, nonchalants. Je suis restée choqué lorsque la jeune fille nous a amené la note puis directement est parti prendre la machine à carte et nous la met sous notre nez du genre “allez payez maintenant” au lieu d’attendre qu’on puisse regarder la note avant de poser notre carte sur le contact. Aucun merci, aucun sourire rien. Je n’ai jamais vu cela auparavant. La propreté de l’établissement reste à désirer toilettes sales, tables collantes, mais le comble c’est le personnel, très jeune et incompétent malheureusement. Seule point positif: la musique. Je suis très déçue.

This place can get very busy on the weekends I went on a Wednesday evening and the place was not very busy. Only popped in for cocktails and the barman with very friendly. Loving the interior its very beautiful and a great place to hang out . Did start today at 2pm getting busy from about 8 pm onwards.

My wife and I went to BBB in Notting Hill and had an amazing time so we thought to come to BBB-Shoreditch. We were very happy we came, the food was incredible and the staff were lovely. Both restaurants are great and we recommend highly.

I reserved a table for my sister’s birthday, I have previously visited BBB and was impressed however, was surprised that this time, it had completely gone downhill. When we arrived, the restaurant/bar was fairly empty which was unusual for somewhere in the heart of Shoreditch (for a Thursday night).

I was super excited to try BBB Shoreditch on Saturday evening and was very disappointed. We made a reservation in advance and had to wait at the bar to be seated despite the fact the restaurant appeared empty. We were then sat in a stuffy little table right on top of the couple next to us. This was all forgiveable as, I guess, it is more of a bar than a restaurant. The menu did not watch the one we found online. It's basically just burgers and fries. It was not expensive so this was also ok, though a little misleading. We ordered and the food was decent, nothing special but tasty enough. I had the tomato linguine and the portion was massive. The service was absolutely appalling. When the wine arrived, it was dumped on our table with the lid still on, when my friends burger arrived it was dropped so fast she she didn't have time to ask the waiter for mayo - he didn't ask, we had to wait again to request a bottle of water. Half way through our meal a spotlight came on and moved around the area we were sitting. I imagine it looked cool for the people on the lower level, but I was blinded constantly. The music increased in volume so we had simply had enough. We downed our wine in an effort to move on quickly. We requested the bill THREE times before we actually received it. It was a very disappointing experience. I don't understand the hype. It is a cool bar though so I would go back for a drink before dinner somewhere else. Worth noting also that the decor is not as nice in reality as it is in pictures online.

Wir hatten uns schon gewundert, warum die Damen uns gegenüber alle nur die Fritten zu ihren Burgern essen und den Burger nach drei Bissen liegen lassen. Als wir selbst unser Essen bekamen haben wir es verstanden. Die Musik war aber nett und die Kellner bemüht es wieder gut zumachen. Aber für den Preis wirklich nicht angemessen... Geht lieber woanders essen.

This used to be one of my favourite restaurants, but went last night for dinner and was so disappointed. The menu has totally changed and now only offers a short list of what is essentially pub food, and if you are vegetarian you are limited to houmous, tomato soup or linguine with tomato sauce - not exactly inspired cooking!

We came here for my fiances birthday and could not believe how bad the service was! We had ton keep asking where our drinks were throughout the evening. It was like a comedy of errors. It seemed like the orders which were the easiest to bring took the longest! The houmous was the last out... i mean how difficult could it be to put houmous in a bowel? We asked for it 3 times! Each time we ordered a round of drinks we had to wait for ages and kept asking where they were. The beers would come last?! It just didn't make sense. The food itself was nice which is why I gave it 2 out of 5. The seafood linguine was delicious. The decor and ambience is lovely. The service really let it down for me. Big time. Then to add insult to injury they charged us £30 service charge at the end of the night! Laughable. Staff training is definitely needed as they are letting this place down.

Staff and service really poor, place was so disorganised, really disappointed. Food took ages to come, when it did some dishes were missing. Had to chase up staff for cutlery which was slammed down. Place was chaos on the night we went, would never go back nor recommend

I haven’t been for years to be fair, so things do change over time of course. It used to be quite a nice place to go for cocktails and dinner, with a good atmosphere and great decor.

A disappointing end to what had a been a great day to celebrate a friend's hen do. We were a group booking and were charged £45 per person for (in my case) overly salty calamari, overcooked aubergine pasta with plastic mozzarella sprinkled on, rocket and parmesan salad with fake parmesan and no dressing, and a very bland un-chocolatey chocolate brownie. The waitress was incapable of even attempting to smile and they insisted on keeping the restaurant in so much darkness that you could barely see the wine list. We were also sat next to a very hot gas fire which when we requested that it be turned off were told that wasn't possible and they were also unwilling to move us even though the restaurant was empty.

Much like BBB Notting Hill great cocktails and cool and relaxed vibe with cool beats making it a perfect pre dinner spot.

Went on a Saturday night to have dinner with a big group of friends, the atmosphere was great, there was a DJ playing funky and soulf music. The food and drinks were really nice.

Came in for one drink with my boyfriend which turned into, quite a lot more than just one! The staff were so welcomeing, and the cocktails were the some of the best in shorditch, might even book my birthday reservation here.

we popped in for a quick drink before meeting friends... the bar was almost empty which we found strange given it was a saturday night... My friend ordered 2 drinks and we took them outside. A little later I ordered the same drinks again and was charged 3pounds less for exactly the same two drinks.... some strange till work going in in that bar I think. Perhaps the owners should take a look.

So why did the 2nd bar staff ask if its policy to serve doubles. There is obviously a scam going on. So beware!

So where do I begin! Bollocks first I think. The party of 15 that I was with had pre booked for this number of people and when we arrived we were shown to a booth no bigger than a photo booth! Secondly when we politely mentioned to a member of staff that it is impossible to fit 15 people at the table he bluntly said we always fit 15 in this booth we just get more chairs, fyi unless you are a group of size 6 models you aren't all fitting in. We ordeded a bottle of prosecco and when a member of the group went to the bar and asked for another one the same guy ( long blond hair and long finger nails ) said they had run out but when a new member of our party joined us and asked for a bottle of prosecco it magically appeared. In my honest opinion the place has a good vibe, pizzas a great but that one member of staff that is too interested in running his fingers through his hair and looking like he constantly gets a wiff of a bad smell, let's the place down.

I booked Beach Blanket Babylon on a Saturday evening for a big birthday dinner. I booked here because I wanted somewhere cool with music, cocktails and in the heart of Shoreditch. Disappointed in one word. As there was over 10 of us we had to pre order our meals so there would be a faster service on night.

Met with some friends for drinks last week and had an amazing time! Gabriel was great and very polite! Highly recommend it!

Met some friends in here just for cocktails. An eclectic selection fairly well executed. The bar staff were friendly and efficient. My wife was disappointed that the pornstar martini did not have a slice of passion fruit in it, but it still tasted good.. We didn't eat here but the food looked good!

Seriously, I have not posted a bad review on here about anywhere, but this place is overrated, food inedible, service at bar really poor, to the point that the waitress had to use 4 glasses to prepare a cocktail! She broke 2, as so engrossed in her conversation with other members of staff, we arrived at 8pm and place was dead. We asked for a booth and were told they for for 3-5 persons only, only to watch two women get seated 5 minutes later and then by the end of our meal all booths were taken up by couples only, i.e. No more than 2 people!! Very Overpriced, I've had much better burgers in gourmet burger!! Squid was of the frozen deep fried variety at the fresh fried variety price!!

Not worth the price and the service is terrible. Basic drinks like G&T; were served without any garnish and the cocktails were overpriced for what they were. Definitely one to avoid.

Visited with friends recently, never been before but thought it looked interesting and the menu looked tempting. Glad we decided to try it as the food was amazing as was the atmosphere and the staff were friendly. I will be recommending to friends and will go back again very soon.

This was my first visit here. Looking for good food and drink, with a good but safe atmosphere. It did not disappoint in any way. Could have stayed all night. Efficient management with really attentive staff. Food was amazing. The best I've tasted in a long time. The layout is so relaxing and fresh. Everyone seemed to be having a great time, which added to a great time for all of us. So sorry when the evening for us ended. However, the night continues for those who are looking to extending their experience into the small hours. It's well equipped for functions and parties, and we look forward to returning soon. It was our second time going to Beach Blanket Babylon last night. The food was great, freshly cooked and professionally presented. The staff were attentive and the service was excellent. The bar/restaurant area was beautifully decorated. The Bar Manager Chris has definitely set my mind on going back!

I am very pleased that finally I found the place where i can enjoy a lovely dinner with my colleagues .We enjoyed it a lot and we will definitely come back and recommend it to all our friends .

Last week I went there with some friends for dinner and we really enjoyed it! The place is amazing with great atmosphere!! We start with small dishes to share that was delicious and then as a main course I had the sirloin steak wich I highly recommend! Also the pasta was very nice. For sure we will go back...

I have been with some of my friends there for dinner and it was just amazing,the food was great ,the place is really nice .I had sirlion steak with mushroom sauce and it was very tasty .As desert i had panna cota home made .Everything was just delicous .For sure we 'll come bk to this place .

Plats corrects, classique d'une brasserie !Bon service et personnel sympa sauf le boss.Musique terriblement forte et refus de la baisser ...même un peu !!!Bref, une seule envie, quitter le restaurant et ne plus revenir !!! Dommage car le cadre est sympa !

Been there few times with some friends in the last months, it was going deep down, to be honest.But then suddenly from nowhere, NEW MANAGEMENT AND NEW STAFF, make things better!!!The venue is unique and probably no one in East London has a place so big and so eccentric like this!!Foodwise chefs are doing a great job and cannot complain at all, also the cocktails are amazing and bar staff really helpful to choose the right cocktail for my special night!!Thanks a lot to all the members of staff, especially to GABRIEL and CHRISTIAN!! They're really hard worker and giving an extra efforts every day are getting better and better this place!!I'll definitely be back to enjoy my weekend @ BBB Shoreditch!!

Great cocktails, lovely bar, nice place and staff were hospitable. Met Christian there who made us a quality cocktail and made us feel very welcome!

I went to BBB on Saturday night with friend. We had great time at the lounge, really nice atmosphere. Definitely we will go again.

Me And my girlfriend had an amazing time , bartenders was nice and professional , general manager was very friendly as we had a chance to meet him , also very professional person. Good cocktails and nice atmosphere. :)Recommend.

Everything up until now has been a total failure. But my last week's visit, under new management, showed me a glimpse of hope and that my fave local can be saved. He definitely has his work cut out since the owners are totally clueless but good luck to the new team. They made me feel very welcome so 5 stars for the team. Just ignore the waste of space owner.

Pude visitar el local hará apenas unas semanas y realmente me pareció un excelente lugar para relajarse.. Tomé unas copas con amigos, pude escuchar buena música e incluso bailar por la noche en un pequeño apartado También se disfrutó de una rica comida y en general, recibimos una buena atención. It had a great bar- serving lovely cocktails then we moved to the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. After dinner we moved to the downstairs nightclub which was a lot of fun.

Visited tonight with 11 friends. Waited 30 minutes for drinks, order incorrect when it came and most people had finished drinks when last two had arrived. 9pm when we visit and one useable toilet in ladies loos, no toilet roll in any, sick in one, bottle of hand wash in other. As for staff no one bothered about drinks or state of place when you speak to them. Won't be going back!
