Nando's in Leicester

Dear Nando’s Customer Service Team, I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding an incident that occurred during my visit to your nando’s Granby Street branch on 13/11/24 in the afternoon. I believe the experience I encountered with one of your staff members does not reflect the high standard of customer service I have come to expect from Nando’s. On this visit, I had ordered a meal, which entitles customers to a beverage with their order. Initially, I took a glass of water but decided not to use it and instead chose a Fanta. Shortly after making this change, a lady staff member with blonde hair tied up approached me. Without any attempt to clarify the situation, she abruptly removed the glass from me and, in an unprofessional tone, reprimanded me by saying, “Don’t do it again. I will charge you.” I was taken aback by her approach, as I had not acted improperly. My order included a meal, entitling me to a drink, and I had not consumed any water before choosing the Fanta. Therefore, her behavior felt unjustified and unreasonably harsh. Additionally, the manner in which she spoke to me was unnecessarily confrontational and left me feeling humiliated in front of other patrons. I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter further and consider providing additional training to staff on how to handle customer interactions respectfully and professionally. Nando’s has always been a brand I admire for its quality and customer service, and I hope this was an isolated incident that does not reflect your overall values. Thank you for taking the time to consider my feedback. I look forward to hearing from you soon and hope to see improvements that ensure a welcoming and respectful atmosphere for all Nando’s patrons.

I recently visited Nando's on Granby Street, Leicester, and while the food was enjoyable, the overall experience could use improvement. Firstly, there was a 30-minute wait for seating, even though plenty of tables were visibly vacant. It's always frustrating to wait when it feels like the restaurant has capacity. The service was okay, but it definitely lacked the attentiveness I’d expect, especially when simple issues could have been easily resolved. On top of that, the washroom facilities were disappointing. The sink area wasn't clean, with visible dirt and residue left behind, which didn’t give a great impression of their hygiene standards. While the food was tasty, the experience could be so much better with improvements in service and cleanliness.

Went 2 Nov, we stood there for ages waiting for the host to attend yet there were empty tables. Had to approach them. They didn’t bother to clean the table and told us the food would take 45 minutes as if they were hoping we would leave. They didn't allow us to order starters and said it would take too long. But they Brought half the order in 20 minutes, thought they were bringing the rest but no…. I Had to go and ask them to reprint the receipt so they could see that they only gave us half the order. Finally Brought the remaining order when half of us had finished eating. The peri salted chips were plain then they just gave us the sachet to sprinkle ourselves. Never had such a negative Nando’s experience. Won’t return.

Very good service goid help with deaf people

Worst Nando’s ever. Needs a big clean/refurnishmemt. Really dirty. No pittas. Had wrap instead - few tiny bits of chicken - 1/4 to half a breast at most.

Ordered a takeaway for pickup, for a birthday. The food was terrible, dry and no sauces that were specifically ordered and charged for. Nothing in the order was correct. A lot of the mains were completely forgotten. So some people at the party table didn’t have a meal. The attitude that followed was shocking. Very unprofessional, disrespectful and very disappointing to have food given to you in such a poor manner. Rachael served us and refused to give us the managers name. Furthermore, the person waiting before us was handed his food parcel and apologised to for having to wait whereas our parcel was dumped on the chair in front of me with no apology for the wait and the food was over 20 minutes late.

I was all caught up in the hype around nandos so I decided to try it and I must say I am not disappointed,the chicken was tasty and juicy and everything was just perfect.

Can't really say much about the food because I never got it! Ordered a starter, main and drink at the same time as a colleague. My food never arrived. When I complained and asked for a refund I was given a refund in cash minus the cost of the drink I'd had, (a bottomless coke @ £3.95!). When I asked to see the manager to complain about that I was told he wouldn't speak to me because he was now on his break, (he was sat at a table drinking by now). All in all a very disappointing experience and one which has convinced me not to go again. This was the one in Leicester btw!

Internet down and manager handled it perfectly didn’t wait long and got our food as fast as we can. Thank you kind manager! 🫶 Food was delicious

Nice place! We go there with friends! They cook well and deliciously.

Food took a while to be served but was good when it came out, service was not as good as usual. Ordered from the table and the drinks were not brought over until we prompted the staff to do so. A loud obnoxious male staff member shouting out with excitement and was spoken to by a female manager near our table. Love Nando's and not my usual experience but was creating an unusual atmosphere in this branch. The female who brought our food out was really nice.

One of the members of staff called Dami was incredible. He was polite, and made the experience in Nandos wonderful. He also said he cooked the food too, and that food was done well too. Nothing but a great time at Nandos thanks to Dami😊

Junk food, wrap was horrible, they don't even cater wholemeal wraps

I feel bad leaving a negative review on here but, I had no choice.. I think 💭 they’re not using clean oil that’s why I had to make a complaint twice to change the chips 🍟 At third time, I replaced the side with rice 🍚 instead. Chicken 🐔 was fine. Anne ♥️ who may have been one of the managers is special to Nando’s & she dealt with it fast.. Customer service is good.

the manager was very rude and disrespectful and told his workers not to conversate with the customer (me) as if it’s not part of the service anyways. how rude!

Had a works meal, no straws despite just opening, flys swarming around whilst eating, cutlery was filthy and most annoyingly manger was rude, refused to make any amendments to meal was blunt and patronising when questioned. After that things only got worse. All the food came out separately with added sources missing.

Nandos is a restaurant which is fast and efficient when you place an order.I would recommend anyone else to buy from nandos.

Won’t lie most of the food was cold and dry especially the chicken and chips , didn’t even have any one ask later if everythjng was okay. considering how much i paid i was not happy at all.

i kid you NOT yall, i ate at nandos on monday and when i tell yall i started feeling quite unwell right after. i thought i was getting sick bcs the weather keeps changing but today, TODAY i’ve had the worst stomach aches of my LIFE and realised sth wrong bcs the last time i ate at nandos the same thing happened and back then i went to the gp and they told me i had a stomach bug. i swear i wish i was making it up but ive been crying on the toilet from 9pm and its legit 00:31 right now. i genuinely cannot function anymore ive been feeling so unwell for the part few days with fevers and nausea and now the stomach aches

Nando's at town area disappointed me. When you enter, there is a certain smell of something which makes you turn off from the place of eating. Furniture is old and worn out, no proper cleaning of place. It looks more like a dungeon than a restaurant. My son went to the toilet and he didn't want to describe his experience it was horrendous. Nothing attracted me here. Food is, as usual, Nando's. So if you are Nando's fan, there is no place to complain here. Service was very prompt, and I could see the staff was very welcoming. Even saw the manager interacting with guests and making them feel comfortable. I have been to many Nando's before, and this was the awful experience I ever had because of that smell and old furniture. I think management needs to close this place and do the thorough makeover of this place.

Appalling and disgraceful… flavours are not even coming through even after selecting “hot”. Burger is a joke mouthful of dried bread, dry chicken. Wings even dry. Worst grilled selection to try and the prices are far fetching for a place like this. Maybe 10 years ago. Far better reasonable grilled options available in city centre. I might go vegan after experiencing such unpalatable abomination. £40 for a burger wings and chips and they missed an order off!

This has to be the worse Nandos I've been to!!! Half the food wasn't available, the staff were miserable, and the restaurant looked as if was falling apart... just look at the ceilings, I was scared that my food might get contaminated with something from the crumbling ceiling.

We ordered for 4 people to takeaway on the app and it was all ready in 10 mins just as we arrived! Team were very friendly and helpful!

Had an amazing experience at Nando’s yesterday, the manager Ashley was extremely helpful and went out of her way to make sure we had the best experience thank you.

Been a while since last been in a Nando's but we needed a quick bite before going to de Montfort Hall, so Nand's fitted the bill, ordered two Gingerella to drink, and both had the mushroom and halloumi pitta with a side of chips, food arrived quickly and was decent, service was ok, must admit I found the constant collection of takeaways a bit off putting as we were fairly near the door. It was ok but not sure if I will rush to return to any Nando's

we went on Tuesday and were served by Amy - she was amazing! so attentive and friendly. really enjoyed our visit. would recommend

I have ordered delivery and they go my order wrong I ordered chips they delivered rice, I ordered corn on the com it was old deflated, I ordered chicken it was very nice - delivery is not for nandos they keep getting it wrong

Recently visited to celebrate a friends birthday- they were quite welcoming to accommodate 20+ guests in a very short time. Literally on a phone call while we were walking towards the store from high cross on a busy Saturday. Great service, fresh food. All sauces were available!

Very disappointed service absolutely shocked with behaviour of manager who served us her name was steff and the other was beth the body language was very dis respectful we asked to cooked the chicken well done but was advised it is not possible as they are busy are you serious? Also asked to cut the burger in half and she advised we cant do that due to us being busy they did not look overly busy and we have been going nandos for years and we came for a birthday celebration and was left really disappointed and the way me and my partner we were spoken to unbelievable service felt very let down as a nandos brand and as a business owner i would never treat my customers like the way we got treated if you can please get me to me on who i can speak to about this as i am really disappointed would never go to this branch again

Woowwww!! What an absolute amazing experience. From the food to the service everything was excellent and spot on 10/10! I recommend for everyone in Leicester to check out the Nando’s on Granby Street. Amazing food, amazing service and amazing staff 👌🏽

Great experience with extraordinary customer service! Came here tonight with my daughter and her friends to celebrate her 15th birthday. As soon as we came, we’ve been offered a FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE by very friendly and welcoming staff. One particular member of staff was AMAZING a lovely lady called BETH!!! working as front of house staff, not only she delivered great customer service helping with food order for nuts allergic daughter’s friend friend but she also went extra mile with offering on house b-day drinks and cake slices to made Nando’s visit experience even more special. The food was fresh and well seasoned. The cakes were delicious: chocolate cake was rich with wonderful flavour and cheesecake was creamy and fresh. The interior design with discrete lighting and nice decorations added to this unforgettable experience. I definitely recommend Nando’s Granby Street if you’re looking for a nice time with friends and family! Definitely will come back 😊

Can't really go that wrong with a Nando's. Although the chicken was dry and they didn't have the salad I wanted.

The peri-peri chicken is delicious, with a good selection of sides. A great spot for a casual meal, though it can get quite busy during peak hours. Overall, a solid choice for tasty, spicy food.

From the start service was bad, took long to seat us even though there were empty tables, first time in my life nandos have said they ran out of chicken thigh and leg, the peri peri fries were hard, the garlic bread was hard with little taste, the chicken breast they served was very dry, the chicken burgers buns were very hard and chewy, the chicken wrap was tasteless, I can’t believe how nothing was good, no one even came to check if everything was okay

Return visit after not being here for some time now. We, my wife and daughter, and I, of course, this Nando's is my favourite one of all others in Leicester. Overall, it's good to return and enjoy the food.

Food was okay but The staff behaviour was the worst .They are not friendly at all. At first they said we have to order on the counter when we can literally saw that some people was ordering there food from their table. Then they give us wrong side which is so disappointing. Not gonna go ever again.👎🏻👎🏻

Just wanted to leave a review as the supervisor on duty on Friday evening was so lovely and apologetic for our food being only slightly late (one of us got our food a few minutes before the other). We honestly were not fussed at all and know how these things can happen but she noticed. She offered us a free desert for our troubles and went out of her way to apologise but the fact she noticed and took the time was really kind. You don’t get this very often and I know it probably seems small but it really made our evening. We go to this Nando’s semi regularly and we always get a seat quickly and the food is always good as you’d expect from Nando’s. Thanks again!

Was approached on a lovely welcome to nandos. Place was empty as they had just opened. We had a choice of where to sit and the waitress who served us gave us a wonderful recommendation to try their new sauce. Can't beat a cheeky nandos!!!.

So I ordered my food at the same time as my friends. I was really annoyed as I was extremely hungry at the time and hadn’t eaten all day. My friends’ food came at the same time and they all ate. I kept asking them for an update but they kept Saying “there’s nothing we can do about it.” My food finally came after all of my friends finished eating. Rather than eating with them, they had to watch me eat when we should have been eating together. This ruined my experience and I won’t be coming here again. On top of that, they did not apologise for this delay. Will not be coming here again!

Chicken was overcooked and burnt with zero taste. Burnt chicken was bitter so money was wasted. Won't try again here. Atmosphere is good. Even the receptionist hesitate to provide NHS discount.

Lovely staff lovely food, excellent choice too, my partners first time at nandoes, shame a family and freinds nearby on 4 tables had a ferrel child. Omfg they didnt care, he was Running around and generally loud and obnoxious. Al the other kids OK,sat and ate, this one up down running around, parents all single couldn't give a flying fig, as usual. Next time I'll ask to be sat elsewhere like in the window seats, they where in the queue behind us too totally oblivious to anyone else. Spoilt a nice evening.

I introduced Nandos to a friend who is celiac, and the staff took very good care of him he loved the food as well as the rest of us.

The food here was delicious. Thanks to Bisharo for making it good experience as it’s my first time trying Nando’s. The ambiance was great. I will be visiting again.

Attended on Saturday afternoon, it was busy but we were welcomed by Harrison, he was kind and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was prompt and delicious, thank you for a great experience.

We visited after my sisters graduation from the local university the restaurant was able to accommodate for a walk in of 14 people. Service was reasonable the order came out quick for a large order and all together which was great.

The wings seemed to be way too heavily charred, they were bitter and ruined. I've had Nandos wings many times (but not from here) and they weren't like this.

Worst branch, only the atmosphere is nice but the staff uff, terrible. Service is minus 5, prices are to much high, it doesn't make sense to go there. Staff behind the counter don't even bother to look at you, ignoring and laughing at you. If you are leaving the restaurant, they want to leave. Never ever recommend and never will go there again.

The staff are really friendly we were seated and served by Bisharo she was really nice and made sure that we had everything and kept checking up on us. The service and food was amazing.

Trying to order through Deliveroo only to be told they've switched it off because they're busy. I worked at a restaurant with 300 seats and we always full capacity on weekends but we were NEVER allowed to switch it off no matter how busy we were. It's highly unprofessional.

Always fresh compared to other nandos

My experience at Nando's in Leicester city center was fairly average. The restaurant had a casual and comfortable ambiance, which was nice for a relaxed meal. The menu offered a good selection of grilled chicken dishes, but I found the overall variety to be somewhat limited. The service was decent, although there were moments when it seemed a bit slow, especially during peak hours. The food quality was consistent with what I've come to expect from Nando's, but it didn't particularly stand out during this visit. While it was a decent dining experience overall, I wouldn't say it was anything extraordinary. If you're in the mood for some grilled chicken and a familiar dining setting, Nando's in Leicester city center could be a suitable choice.

nice place to eat not so busy during the day, but still make nice food and staff are always friendly and happy yo help. This nandos is the best in Leicester I have been to a few but this one is best.

Food was tasted fine, corn on the cob was a bit dry Was told they had a sauce and the kitchen confirmed but then realised they didn't when the rest of the tables plates came out. We agreed a different sauce and this was corrected within a couple of minutes Wild herb was a nice sauce

Excellent taste of food. Good portions. Good to visit when it's not busy... You can get time to relax and eat. It's always a favourite. You can always take your food if you can't finish at the table.

Was seated quickly and pleased that the layout meant you had space to move and talk. Some nandos have limited space and you are piled on top of each other which is uncomfortable for me (autistic) Granby street nandos is perfectly spaced out and lighting adds to an intimate atmosphere. I am gluten intolerant so advised the server. Policy is for the manager to take orders where there's allergies. She came over very quickly and took our order. All staff were polite. Our food came reasonably quickly and was hot, well cooked and delicious!! Nandos is my favourite place to eat. It doesn't have gluten free wraps or buns yet but I'm ok with that.

Extremely small piece of butterfly chicken for £9.50. I have seen more meat on an actual butterfly.

In a month I ordered 3 takeaways from this place and on all three occasions there was something missing. Ended up getting refunds from Deliveroo. Contacted the store and spoke to the manager on the third occasion who couldn’t care less. It’s a shame how this store is taking a nose dive like this, I wish they could just put one of the other Nando’s in Leicester to do the Deliveroo orders in my area coz Granby Nando’s is just damaging the brands reputation. Now when I tell my kids we’re ordering Nando’s today they get disappointed, my youngest even cries coz he thinks his order won’t arrive. It’s a shame what’s happening to this restaurant

They made sure our chicken was made fresh , wel worth the wait for quality.

Amazing customer Service from Latisha. Warm welcome, very helpful and polite. We was a large table with kids and she was very friendly, patient, kind and professional. A very rare gem hidden away as with some restaurants they have lost the personal touch.

Friendly staff and tasty food. The food was fresh and was prepared quickly. One of my friends' orders was wrong, and the staff made sure to fix it.

I love chicken so I love having the whole chicken to share. Wine selection wasn't too good - who wants wine out of a tin? But then I didn't go for the wine.
