To be fair the food was good. It was hot, tasty and there was plenty to choose from on the menu. The drinks were also good value. The downside however is that it felt like a canteen and a cold one at that. Even though we were sat right in front of the kitchen it was freezing! There was a draught blowing through from the kitchen and it just added to the somewhat miserable and disappointing atmosphere in the restaurant. Staff weren’t overly friendly or helpful and the whole experience was just a bit rubbish and not one we’d want to try again anytime soon.

Came here with my mum just a few minutes ago, we wanted a bite to eat before going to see Jack Whitehall. Decided to try Nando's as the menu sounded good and it did not disappoint! We got the cheesy chips sharing plate and it was really tasty! (my mum knocked a mark off as she wasn't a fan of the drink options, but other than that she really liked it), great atmosphere too, wasn't too busy and the staff we interacted with were great.

Friendly reception, speedy and accurate order. Food is nicely cooked and hot. Bottomless drinks, spicy chicken, what more could you want.

Absolutely faultless, wonderful staff, great vibes and delicious food. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian choices. Chilled out place to dine with the most welcoming staff.

Called in one Friday teatime for a family meal. Warm welcome, friendly helpful staff and tasty food that arrived promptly.

The place was busy but I found the staff a bit abrupt. We were told we had to scan a QR code to joint the queue for a table, you weren’t allowed to wait inside. When we got our table we were told to use the QR code to access the menu and order which is fine but it’s all a bit too much effort for a meal out. Once we had ordered we were sat for a while before the glasses arrived for our drinks and quite a wait for the food. We had a desert for kids which we had to ask for having been sat with empty plates on the table for quite a while. The staff just didn’t seem very bothered. The food was ok but I won’t be rushing back to this Nando’s.

Haven’t been to Halifax Nando’s in so long and just remembered why it’s been so long. Walked in and was shown to a table but the staff member just said to scan the table and order via the website which is fine, but forgot to mention they had 0 stock? After a couple of attempts we only went because the fino pitta was back, no sign on the website and they said oh yeah that’s because we don’t have it in stock. So we both picked something else from the website and it wouldn’t let us go any further as these has been taken off the menu we asked a member of staff and she told us a lot of the stuff wasn’t in stock and she said to refresh it and it should come back - did that finally added the burger and it wouldn’t let us add a side? No medium chips in stock but could order large?? Make it make sense!! Poor service so after 20 mins of looking we decided to leave, could have saved us some time by telling us the second we was seated! Don’t understand why all the chicken vanished from the website and only came back once we asked!? Maybe wanted to finish the shift abit earlier so was removing not to sure but not was you’d expect from a chain!

I found the ordering procedure a bit of a faff. Having to set up an account for a one off visit seemed over the top. My chicken wasn’t as juicy as usual but was tasty. I went for heat level 3 and found it very mild. The chips were ok. I really enjoyed the mixed olives.

they ran out of bread, so I couldn’t get my burger or garlic bread. They didn’t bring me my glass for my bottomless drink until half way through my meal. Service was good and food was delicious though

Had a lovey lunch at Nandos never been before and was a bit worried about places being too busy but we had to scan a code and then get a text to say table was ready, once in they explained that it was table service and to order on the app with bar code and they would bring food to table so it felt very safe and the staff were very friendly.

Took the opportunity to support restaurants after hospitality restrictions were lifted by going to Nandos in Halifax for Lunch. I had a grilled chicken burger with their new peri-salted chips and a brownie to finish it off. Found the ordering to be a bidd as I had to use my phone for QR codes and order the meal which I wasn't really fullt prepared for, so when I gave up. The staff were very helpful and took my order the traditional way, Thanks.

We went for tea last night as our first visit since lockdown. The guy on the door explained all the new rules and showed us to our table. We had some vouchers that we weren’t able to use with the QR ordering thing and so our order was taken manually instead. The staff were really welcoming and friendly, quickly replacing our refillable drinks. The manager was also really nice and sorted out adding my rewards card to the order. Was a little bit cold in there and the menu was (understandably) limited but other than that was a great visit and I’m looking forwards to the full menu hopefully coming back soon!

I love Nandos and live near one but cannot eat it since it isn’t halal which is soo disappointing. I know the branch near me would get a lot of customers if they were to make it halal. It’s a smart business move considering a lot of people in the town prefer to eat Halal meat.

We were greeted by a very nice man who immediately showed it to our table. Ordered hummus for starter which was to die for with the peri drizzle and hot triangles of bread, then chicken wings, mash and garlic bread, all very nice the chicken is cooked well and the food was really lovely. staff attentive and the restaurant was clean, thoroughly enjoyed thanks for the experience

Very nice place with very friendly and helpful staff. You can order your food to match your taste which is good. You can have your chicken cooked just plain or super spicy depending on you mood.

What to do on a Monday night in Halifax? I didn't fancy the hotel food so went for a wander and found Nandos. They weren't busy so i was seated straight away. Very nice and pleasant server. Food arrived in less than 10 minutes and tasted great. Great service and food.

To be honest didn’t rate this place much. Yes it was clean , staff were friendly, but wasn’t that impressed with the food. Wouldn’t eat at this place again.

We attended Halifax Nando’s after visiting the children’s museum Eureka on a rainy Sunday afternoon as a group of 7. We were greeted by Ellie who went above and beyond to make sure my daughters birthday cake was kept cool and then brought out with candles when we finished our meal.Food was the usual Nando’s standard but the service made this visit.Baby change could have done with a deep clean but apart from that all good.If the Nando’s management are reading this then Ellie is a service star that you need to retain

I just don’t get the hype with Nando’s. the chicken is dry,bland and overpriced. The portions are child sized (whether you like it or not) the place looks like it’s been decorated by a child on speed,the staff aren’t particularly friendly,the drinks glasses look like they’ve been stolen from a school and the menu has about as much variety as an Afghan comedy club. Thanks but I’ll stick to pub food.

Very friendly efficient staff who were eager to help when we had a few queries. Was very busy for early evening with the usual nandos crowd.

We waited 35 minutes for our order to arrive, when it did it was cold. Will I go again, I don’t think so We were offered a refund which we took and left.

Staff were fine, checked back on our table and everything. However the food was not brilliant. Houmous wasn’t very nice and the chips were absolutely covered in peri salt had to scrape it off. The wraps were also filled in a strange way. One side full of chicken other with lettuce so it’s as if it was rolled and cut wrong. Atmosphere is okay but we probably won’t be back to this particular Nandos

Absolutely shocking customer service, I will not be returning to the Halifax restaurant. The food was lovely as always, however the service was completely unacceptable. The man at the till lacked enthusiasm, didn’t once see him crack a smile while in the long wait to order and then muttered our order back to us. My friend ordered extra sauce which never arrived at our table. There was rarely a member of staff on the floor and when there was they avoided eye contact with us. Nobody came to check if we were happy with our meals, yet we could see all the staff hiding in the kitchen despite the fact there were plenty of tables full of unhappy looking customers and empty plates. We wanted to order deserts but as no one had even bothered to come and see if we were enjoying the food we didn’t hold out much hope of someone coming to us. After 10 minutes of waiting we left disappointed and disgusted.

The guy who seated us made it easy for us to choose whichever table we wanted, and when there was a slight delay on the food, the woman who seemed to be managing gave us drinks and desserts on the house. Absolutely lovely staff and a very comfortable environment, so overall had a very pleasant evening, thank you!

Nice food and friendly staff good visit only issue I found was rude is staff behind the counter on their phones in full view of customers this happened about 1pm in the 1st July so not good for customers to see

I believe this chain is way over priced what essential chicken and chips. I’m always a little disappointed with the portion sizes. It’s always cooked well. I like the theme of the restaurant. Wish the waiters came to the table to take your order.

I very rarely in any event come to Halifax let alone come to Nando’s but the service here was beyond excellent and very friendly staff. even though I mentioned I had my own water bowl for the dog they still brought some out and left it out for us! Deffo recommend coming here

Food is always really nice, I love it, the service is good fast and reliable, but the blonde waitress was so rude, she started at me when I ordered and had a moody face! And when I was ordering she didn’t ask me if I wanted anything and gave me dirty looks!

Went for food before cinema this evening, order fillet steak pitta.... 2 mins later the cashier told me they had run out... as i don't eat chicken not much else i could have! The manager/assistant asked if i wanted something different but i am a very fussy eater so i declined... so i ordered chips... she gave me a full refund and then had the staff make me one of each vegetable dish to try... she was so nice and i actually tried the sweet potato pitta the rice and mushrooms... Really good food and really made my night... Thankyou so much... to you and your team at Nandos... will defo be back....

Clean and helpful staff, food as expected. Drinks machine not working but free drinks when fixed which was a good touch. Just lacks the usual nandos vibe.

Usually Nando’s is a fun family experience for us as a family. This time was a completely different story. Some of the food was missing like the perinaise and the spicy rice. Also the delicious houloumi in my pitta was M.I.A. The drinks machine was broken but the staff were quick to fix it and gave us free drinks for our inconvenience. Overall would go every day for the rest of my life.

We visited after visiting Vue at around 9.15 pm. Still open when asked but had to turn grill on so after ordering the wait was around 25 mins. Friendly staff but did not explain ordering and it was only because i had visited Nandos before that i knew what to do unlike one of our party who was waiting for a waitress until we explained. We had some spiced nuts to put us on until the food arrived. Ordered butterfly chicken with spicy rice and coleslaw after the waitress went to check what they had left. All enjoyed their food but please explain the method of ordering when seating customers otherwise you may have complaints if you are busy.

Went for a meal and a social catch up was very nice food quick service and friendly staff the restaurant was very clean as well and was regular cleaned by staff well done Nando’s will be back

Firstly shown to table and wasn't advised how to order so sat there half an hour. Staff not overly friendly . Just did their job to the minimum effort. Booth could do with a good clean. General decor interesting and funky. Advised food would be about 20 minutes and when arrived one main came plain after ordering medium and hot spice. Staff took plate back with no apology, shook some spice on the chicken and returned it to the grill hence dry chicken and cold sides. Rest of our party half eaten their food so just got on with it in best British fashion. Not what I remember from previous excellent Nandos experience in other cities.

Its okay, nothing special. Only came to see whats so cheeky about it and because i saw a rap video with ed sheeran and example.

We have a Nando’s take away every Friday, normally use Leeds but tonight they were not taking bookings so we used Halifax, dreadful experience, takeaway was booked for 7-05 actually got my food at 7-30 complained to the manager but she wouldn’t even look at let alone apologise just thrust the bag at me. On getting the food both mine and my partners chicken was in inedible, so dry and tough and tasteless, I ordered extra hot and couldn’t taste it, all went In the bin we will use any other Nando’s rather than this one again. Utter rubbish, this manager needs a career reassignment to something that doesn’t involve dealing with the public

We turned up around 6:30pm as a table of 8 without previously booking,all the staff made no fuss at all of having to cater for a larger table with complex orders. The food arrived hot, fresh and with all our meals at the same time. Everything was spot on. The restaurant was clean and cutlery and condiments fully stocked. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed.Thank you Tamara & team!

We recently visited this Nandos during a family stay in Halifax and we were very impressed by the service that we received during our visit. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. The customer service was exemplary and the restaurant manager should commend the staff as everyone was working very hard during the time we spent there. The food was very promptly brought to our table and as soon as any customer left the staff made sure everything was cleared away very quickly. Well done Nandos Halifax.

Came with friends food was good however drinka were flat when i informed a member of staff sophie she said she would look into this and came back five minutes later to basically say there was nothing wrong with it and went to get my friend a new drink very stroppily. Basically telling us it wouldnt be as fizzy as a can of pop as its postmix asif we were stupid and had never had postmix before. Again the drink was flat and when she was told was very moody and said she would have another look but there was nothing wrong with it then didnt come back to us for over twenty minutes constantly walking past us then the resr of the customers started to complain. Eventually she came back to us and said there had been a problem with the gas in the cellar no apology whatsoever asked if we wanted a new drink however we had long finished our meals and offered a refund for drinks however only brought one person a refund so when i told her my friend also would like a refund she went and got it but was very moody and rude and no apology at all for leaving us so long and basically calling us a liar. Also my friend got a take out for her husband which he then found a fingernail in absolutley disgusting!!!

This is the second time I have ever visited Nando's; the first being several years ago and it was the same restaurant. I really quite like this restaurant, although possibly is not to everyone's taste. The atmosphere is quite vibrant and there is a lot of activity. The service is very good and you are not kept waiting long before you are eating; great if you are in a rush and just want something good to eat really quickly.I like a little bit of flavour with my meal and their menu caters to that. The middle of the row has enough spice to taste good, without melting the taste buds off your tongue. All-in-all, I'd recommend trying it at least once and make your own decisions...

When we go to Nando's we know we are going to have a quick tasty meal with no frills and sometimes that's what you want. Hummus with warm pita bread , red pepper dip with pita bread, tasty enough. Butterfly Chicken breast with medium piri piri, piri salted chips, spicey rice and coleslaw, very nice. In and out in 50 minutes , all done.

Feel ripped off for bellow average food. over priced and part of the 3 meals were cold or dry. Kids re-heating food not very well.

Not that hard really - made an order at 18:30 to be ready for 19:20 which was a time I chose to ensure I would get my food when I thought I would, WRONG 1 wrap and 1 burger with 2 sides each of chips and garlic bread were ready at 19:45 ...... 25 minutes late and when I rang the manager to ask why it wasn't ready he was "too busy"? It was a five minute phone call! Bad service!

I used to be a massive fan of Nandos...unfortunately most seem to have kids following work instructions doing the cooking. The chicken was precooked then done for a minimal time on the grill ...perfectly sage and heated, but hardly chargrilled. The place itself is clean and atmospheric and the staff friendly, but the prices are too high for oven cooked chicken with french fries.

This restaurant is located in the food quarter of broad place directly under the car park . It look fine when it had opened a few years ago and desperate for a facelift . The full platter I ordered came very dry and looked shrunk ( the same as the the take out I had a few weeks a go too ) you have a right to expect a fresh chicken for the price that you pay for an piece of chicken . I do like the Peri peri chicken but won't be rushing back to this one until it has got its act to gather !

I was amazed how grubby the place was and I really think it could do with an update and a good scrub everywhere. The prices are quite high for what you get but the food here is really tasty and there are unusual dishes to try but I won't be rushing back unless the place has a total facelift.

Nice for a reasonably priced family get together. Staff really good, chicken nice and tasty. The Halifax one is located directly below a multi storey car park which is useful.

The chicken legs were nicely cooked but the breasts were dry and could have been marinated longer. The chips and coleslaw were fresh. The sink next to the drinks machine should have been quarantined-absolutely filthy which was not just one days worth of filth. There was no hygiene rating displayed but it felt dirty. The plates smelt and the cutlery was dirty too. Nando's always have a strange smell in the toilets, I couldn't stand it! All of that said, the staff were great and attentive and we enjoyed the food. Also NHS staff get 20% off if you show your ID. I won't go back to this Nando's because of the hygiene-Eugh!!

As I've visited a lot of nandos restaurants this is quiete small building crammed together but that wasn't much bother the only thing is when I ordered wings roulette they came on a standard plate and looked unemic And they all tasted same lol I'm used too really well done wings and scared who is going to get the hot one the service was brill tho and drinks cheers

Visited with my daughter following her return from holiday. Ordering is simple and quick and staff really friendly ! Shortly after the order was placed a young man came over to explain our order would be delayed and would we like a free starter - we of course said yes and received 2 plates of olives !! Not too long after I did notice other tables were being served before us but was aware of our delay, another staff member came over and apologised offering us a free dessert, bearing in mind we hadn't been waiting too long anyway! The young man then returned with 2 bottles of the drink we were having apologising again!! Our dinner did arrive and was lovely I ordered the chicken butterfly burger which was so filling and tasty and my daughter the quinoa salad with chicken. Before we had finished one of the young girls who had served us came over to apologise again and ask what dessert we would like, we where both full and said it was ok! All I can say is from entering to leaving we where in one and half hours so not any large delay at all and the service received by the staff that evening was fantastic!!

Staff fantastic, seated us very quickly. Good order taken in timely manner. Food gorheous and even a doggie bag for home. Nhs discount even better whooooo :) nurse enjoy the discount.

My husband and myself had the Peri Peri butterfly Chicken breast plus 2 sides each, salted chips, Rice, Coleslaw and salad. Great for me as I'm watching my weight. Lovely Chicken. We had refillable sodas plus I had a refillable frozen fat free yogurt and my husband had gooey toffee cheesecake, they were really nice. Good service, Just over £30, we really enjoyed it.

nandos is a great concept and brand and delivers in each restaurant. Been many times here and friendly staff and well delivered food. Cara viva wine is always smooth and enjoyable. Last visit service was slow and a little slapdash as compared with other visits but felt this was just a little out of character.

It was very quiet as it was a Wednesday afternoon, the service was fine but the was not..... dry almost inedible chicken, won't be going back.

My last two visits to Nando's in Halifax have been extremely disappointing experience. My first visit we had to wait an hour for the chicken to cook, upon arrival of this great event, the chicken was dry as a bone. We were all starving by this time so we ate this dry bird. Having complained about this to the girl who kindly asked if our meal was OK, we got no response. Now this is unusual for Nando's as they normally try to put right their mistakes, not in Halifax.Last night, we tried again, the restaurant was quiet and so we ordered quickly, after waiting half an hour and watching the guy clean the grill down for five minutes, with no chicken on it, and no explanation we ventured up to complain. We were greeted with a young lad who stated ill sort that straight away for you, who immediately put the chicken on the grill which we then received our meal in minutes. When we complained to the girl about the poor service, she stated it was their fault for not telling us they were waiting for the chicken to cook, which did not add up at all. If the staff had apologised to us and treated us with the respect we deserved i wouldn't be writing this at all, BUT two weeks running with no apology adds up to pretty poor service in my books. I can however recommend the Bradford Showcase Nando's who seem to always keep it together no matter how busy they get.

We went before the pictures on Saturday - early evening - not too busy. The service was fine, the starter was fine but the chicken - we had both ordered 1/2 chicken with 2 regular sides. The chicken was overcooked, burnt & dry. The chips were ok but a very small portion up to other Nando's we have visited.

It's always going to be a Nandos but this one is really friendly. It's a great place to meet colleagues for a reasonably priced healthy lunch.

11 dishes sat on the runner for ten minutes with no waiter to take them out. One guy was nice and a little ray of sunshine but other service was naff.

I'd only ever been to Nandos once before this and so u couldn't get my bed round the menu to begin with, but I got there, chicken wrap with coleslaw and chips, £11. Which isn't that expensive for a meal I know, but when you think what the food is I just don't think it's value for money, don't get me wrong the food was absolutely fine, nothing wrong with it at all. And there was 16 of us and it all came out quickly and with no mistakes, I'm not faulting the place itself I just don't think I understand Nandos as a thing! But as far as chicken goes it was fine

Had my sons twenty first here .staff looked after us well and joined in singing happy birthday and had a good laugh with us bring out the bat man cake .our party of 10 ranged from 5-75 and we all found something on the menu we liked .food was good service good restraunt clean .would have scored more than average if there was a proper bar and not just bottled beer .

Walking around on my lunch I stumbled upon Nando's and dived right inside. I found the staff to be polite and knowledgeable and quick service at about 12.45pm on a Monday lunch time.I had the butterfly chicken with two sides. I can't say much else other than if you have never visited a Nandos, Halifax is a good place to start widening your eating choices

Arriving at 6 30pm on a Friday not the best idea as not enough room left to sit 5 of us so had to wait for a table to become free. Been a few times now and the staff are always up-beat and welcoming and the food standard Nando's fair and much the same as in other outlets. As it is a new'ish restaurant it's clean and the interior has been laid out well with some style and a nice level of light in the place. Cosy places to sit at the back. Never have to wait too long for food and reasonable value.

Visited today, the customer service was amazing, even the trainee. Went out of their way to make sure everyone was happy with the service.Cutlery could of been cleaner and free water is cloudy.

Fantastic service, we got to try chicken wings before placing an order, one of our party doesn't like spicy food so we got to check if she'd be happy with the mildest on offer. Delicious meal, all agreed, definitely converts and WILL be back :-)

Amazing Food! Amazing Service! I have visited this Nandos many times and it just gets better every time!! The staff are attentive and will help you choose your food if your not sure what to get. And the food is always delicious!! Get yourself down there!

Tasty Portuguese chicken. You can choose the spiciness of the chicken too. Good selection of appetisers and sides. Compared to nearby restaurants I think the prices are't high, though portions aren't that large. Depends on how hungry you are.

When you go here, you need to understand its basically slightly better fastfood. Have been to a few and this one is pretty good, mainly as service was slightly better than others I've been too. First time i've felt the need to tip here.

My first and last visit to this god awful place! New lad tried over charging me at the bar, after ordering a bottle of wine to go with our 'meal' he tried to give me an already opened bottle. The meal was overpriced and overcooked. Myself and my partner ordered a sharing platter for twice the price it was worth. I've not gagged on chicken like that, ever! ! Extremely dry. The staff are constantly hovering around your table, doing nothing but bragging to each other about the birds they pulled the night before (classy). Certainly won't be returning here!

Very small portions for large prices. The food you get is in basic and not top quality, which is not what you expect when your paying the prices there asking. Also for the price the service is poor, you have to go and order your self. Won't be back again!

Nice and clean, staff service was very good and friendly. Food was....well tbh, food was good but dry. Not overcooked dry but no sauce dry! We got the sharing platter and although tasty, doesn't exactly fill you. If you love chicken, THIS is the place for you, just make sure you order a large drink as well!!...

Nandos is fantastic wherever you go but i feel this one has something special about it! The food is to die for and the restaurant itself is stunning. Coming back very very soon!

Had a lovely visit the other evening, very busy, the staff were chatty and smiling, the till people and waiters were friendly and went out of their way for us - the manager (again a lovely gent) spoke with us about our cinema show. Food was tasty and fresh - and the place was very clean! Certainly recommend for a pre-cinema meal!

Birthday lunch for my 25 year old son. This is his favourite place but my first visit. The staff were great so friendly and helpful. My young granddaughters made light work of their lunch, and the rest of us had lovely time. Not bad value for money. I will definitely return

First visit. Restaurant itself was very nice. The staff very friendly and helpful. 20 minute wait for the food which isn't bad for a lunchtime. The food was nice but nothing special. Would I return? Possibly yes.
