Nando's in Reading

Muy decepcionado con el tamaño de las porciones teniendo en cuenta la gestión de precios donde no era nada útil y la comida no estaba caliente estropeado la noche

Ni una sola palabra de elogio sobre este lugar la comida es absolutamente terrible, el servicio al cliente fue grosero, me tomó 45 minutos para poder ordenar incluso después de que ya me había sentado. Impactante El envoltorio no tenía más de 50 gramos de pollo aunque pedí un doble, lleno hasta el borde de lechuga, lo único bueno fue que obtuve las recompensas de mi Nando a la naranja.

Vine a la sucursal del restaurante para una cena encantadora. Simplemente pregunté si un miembro del personal podría ayudar a sacar el ketchup de tomate de una botella, ya que las salsas no se almacenaron a la temperatura correcta, y las salsas en las nuevas botellas, eran sólidas como una roca. Experimenté que los miembros del equipo eran desagradables conmigo, la mitad de la botella de ketchup de tomate terminó en toda mi ropa, el miembro del personal la tiró por toda mi ropa, cayó en mis zapatos de trabajo, mi top favorito que tenía un animal impreso en él, la parte superior es sí mismo que discontinuó tan difícil de reemplazar. Y la salsa me cubrió todo el top y los jeans y me limpiaron con un paño azul. El gerente se disculpó y dijo que podía limpiarlo en seco. También tenía problemas de pérdida de peso, había ganado 50. 2 kg de peso antes del incidente después del incidente perdí peso significativo ahora estoy en 49. 2 kg (7 piedras 13 ) Ahora tengo que trabajar duro para volver a subir de peso. El gerente dijo que no podía tener comida y bebida gratis y postres hasta que mi peso volviera a subir. También me dijeron que no podía hacerme una selfie con la gorra Nandos. El equipo también dijo que no podía cargar mi teléfono ya que estaba al 6 % y luego me dijo que tenía que pagar por bollos de hamburguesa como el artículo de comida original que mi favorito en el menú que realmente me gustaría es la hamburguesa de pollo mariposa, pero terminó con algo más. También eligen no poner la salsa de tomate en una olla de oro / plata. Me decepcionó la experiencia, ya que no solo tuvo un impacto emocional en mí, sino que también tuvo un impacto en el problema de salud. Los miembros del equipo de la sucursal comenzaron a reírse durante 5 minutos cuando ocurrió el incidente y me molestaron ya que pensaron que era una broma. Llevaba una gorra en ese momento si la tenían, habría sido horrible. Mi ropa es difícil de reemplazar. También dijeron que no podía dejar de hacerme una selfie con la gorra de béisbol Nandos, sentada en la mesa 1. Divulgué que era autista y tenía problemas de salud y empezaron a reírse de mí como riéndose de las hienas durante 5 minutos

We were served by very friendly staff name Sapana. She gave very quick and amazing service even in super busy times. The food was good as aways and service by her made it even better!

Food as always is 5/5 as is the service and atmosphere. Very friendly and personal service from all the staff and especially the manager, Lucasz. His primary concern is obsessing over customer excellence and his enthusiasm shines through in abundance. He is an asset to Nando’s. We will definitely visit again.

We ate here after going to the Cinema and it was really good. Value for money and great qiuick service. Food is exactly what you expect from Nando's but the service and the staff I thought were particularly good, very pleasant and friendly and really marking the place as a little bit above the rest.

We came here for an early dinner. It was our first experience of Nanbo's, and once we got the hang of the online ordering, we got two lovely meals, with chicken in pitta and some extras. The service was quick, we only waited about ten minutes before the food arrived. My only negative comment is the loud thumping music which made it difficult to have a quiet conversation. I found the prices quite reasonable, and we may well come back here.

Why is there no vinegar for chips? None at all in the restaurant, for a restaurant that regularly serves chips I feel this is a pretty basic request. I asked a member of staff and they said there was only balsamic vinegar. I pointed to the counter that had no vinegar, balsamic or otherwise (it wasn't busy, so I could see that no other tables were using any type of vinegar). When I pressed further I was offered balsamic vinegette salad dressing. Salad dressing to go on chips? Is this just a Reading thing? I am sure I have been able to have vinegar at other restaurants.

Absolute chaos. Several empty tables but the waiting area was very busy. The person on the door was giving people very inconsistent expected waiting times We were promised 10 mins but after 20 and total chaos we had to leave

Amazing experience! The staff were very friendly. Special thanks to Kris the Restaurant Manager as he went over and beyond to make an extraordinary experience for us. We will definitely return.

Lovely food and atmosphere. Food is served quickly and tastes good. Good variety of options and great value for money.

Terrible service manager, not very helpful ordered food, doublechecked and asked to go back up to the counter to order again, waited a lot longer than people that was behind us no reason other than the manager taken the order correctly three times

We came here to see the new revamp which looks great but the manager here, he was a wearing a red funky shirt is very rude, shouting to his staff members on the floor, clicking his fingers, flirting with customers where you can clearly see they are uncomfortable and not being nice at all. Me and friend who both come from a retail background think this is really unprofessional and horrendous customer service. You need to speak to him as soon as possible and we won’t be coming back here again.

Delicious food, excellent service. Nando’s always a favourite. First time at the Reading branch. Had a great time and will be back.

I have been to Nandos like lots and lots of times and i will keep going there. I had a wrap and it was amazing and the service is outstanding.

Staff are lifeless with no vibrancy, and are apparently allowed to just relax when the restaurant is quiet and have a chat with friends. Chefs can be seen quite clearly biting his nails and touching food which was lovely, standards has slipped for sure. The staff don’t even acknowledge your existence as if they’re robots designed to bring your food. And that’s it. No conversation unless they come over to ask whether my food is good 5 seconds after it arrives. The decor is becoming tacky and seems to have not been changed in years, the floor looks like it needs a good varnish, foods alright but again it’s microwaved and not fresh, never order the rice comes piping hot because it’s baby food put in a microwave. And I thought everything was fresh, sometimes I think they use chicken from the day before. Dry and flavourless. Also never cleared up my starter plate, I don’t want to sit in front of it for my whole meal thank you very much. Only eat here if you’re desperate, much more to choose from in Reading that this below standard eatery

I came with my girlfriend to have a dinner and it was 30 minutes wait to have a table but that is fine. What is unacceptable is because the manager (Lolo) told me if I pay him with a kind of tip we could get a table faster than 30 minutes. Never in my life I pay for a table at Nando's, if they are doing this cheats to his customer that's really disgusting.

We were ‘welcomed’ by a member of staff who looked and sounded like he didn’t want to be there, his manner was not warm at all. Once at the table we tried to use our phone to order, but couldn’t? We asked a server for assistance and although he was not able to help, he went to get someone else. Both these gents were lovely and extremely helpful. The food came fairly quickly, and the new BBQ spice was nice, but the food was a tepid temperature. The wraps are big and packed full of filling. It was okay for a one off visit whilst out shopping, but I wouldn’t rush to one of these again in the future.

That’s it for this Nandos, don’t understand why we had to wait half an hour when the restaurant was empty, then told it would take another half an hour for food!

Myself and 3 other people visited Nandos and loved it! After such a long time without Nandos due to lockdown, it was great to finally have their food. The service was excellent and attentive. The new way of ordering through the QR code is also seamless and great

Service was terrible. We couldn’t log on to the track and trace due to connection issues. The staff treated us like we were stupid, and made it a very long process. After we finally got seated, the app wouldn’t work to order our food either. We also asked the staff to help us, the man let us write our order, but kept coming back asking stupid questions after i wrote our order very clearly. After he took our order after about 25 minutes, the cover that was keeping us dry in the heavy rain was taken down, leaving us in the soaking wet rain. We got up and left. The service was terrible and so was the staff. Would not recommend at all. Go somewhere better, like mcdonald’s!!!

Received my order today. Two items missing and then the wrong type of chicken spice. Basically told me I was lying and they had packed the correct items. The man that answered the call said I was rude because I disagreed with his version of events. Lesson learned they have now lost a weekly customer.

an employee named Gabriela Andre was very rude gave me attitude when she gave m e the wrong order and i asked to return it also she was being petty over small thing like when i accidently dropped something. i wouldn't recommend the food is bad but the service is more worse id rather go to an Indian corner takeaway then here

Terrible service at the Reading Oracle restaurant if you need to collect because deliveroo won't serve your area. Just been told to wait 50 mins past allocated pick up time outside the restaurant whilst they prioritise deliveroo collections. Had to ask for refund, what a waste of an evening won't be doing that again!

Good service. They are doing it all safely and doing it well. Loved the chicken thighs and the rice and corn. Enjoy.

Dos gerentes estaban a corta distancia y ninguno de los dos hizo contacto visual. Después de unos 10 minutos más, otro camarero que no se cubrió la nariz ni la boca con una máscara, dijo algo tan amortiguado como el primer camarero. Luego nos dijeron que no podíamos estar sentados sin mascarillas. Furiosos, ni siquiera nos habían dicho eso antes, y con la naturaleza hosca y complaciente del personal, nos fuimos realmente enojados, especialmente porque el personal no usó sus mascarillas correctamente. Este fue un servicio muy pobre dada la cantidad de personal de guardia y lo tranquilo que era el restaurante.Para mejorar, los gerentes podrían habernos reconocido de inmediato a nuestra llegada y asegurarse de que el personal siguiera los procedimientos de covid; el personal podría haber estado despierto / alerta y hablándonos de manera audible sin tener que ser llamado primero, el personal podría responder a los clientes que estaban en la entrada.

This restaurant made an excellent effort post lockdown. Smooth ordering online, amended custom order that was correctly met and perfectly cooked chicken. Really enjoyed our Nando's and sitting by the river on a hot Saturday.

No podemos resaltar una falla en nuestra visita a Nando de The Oracle. Experimentamos un servicio de mesa rápido, comida caliente bien preparada y nada salió mal en el orden o la calidad general. También nos sentamos inmediatamente en una cabina.Al revisar la comida, la hamburguesa de batata estaba en punto y soy un gran admirador de la inclusión de los frijoles edamame.

Monday night at 7pm, we were offered a table and seated straight away. Chap that took my order was very polite. Food was 100% as expected. Thanks

Food was very nice and authentic. however service was very slow. Staff were nice and apologetic. Need to speed up the service and reduce the waiting time. Area was very welcoming.

Nando’s is Nando’s- nice enough food for the price, don’t go here for takeaway, I waited nearly 40 mins for my order, people were seated and served quicker! Staff are unprofessional but again I don’t expect too much. And don’t look too closely at the kitchen. Some funny reviews- clearly from employees- Come on trip advisor!

Haven’t been for years but at the cinema and thought we would pop in. I was looking forward to crisp barbecued chicken and chips. What we got were cold chips and chicken smothered in cold sauce. Went home for cheese and crackers. Come on. You can do better than this

What a great restaurant!!! Especially when I went on the phone and was kindly assisted by a staff member called Anna. What a brilliant person and a wonderful restaurant. I would recommend everyone trying nandos

Arrived, sat down and ordered. Our food was served by Martin, who was extremely rude and fairly ignorant. He failed to accommodate my needs with good will when I asked for some condiments that weren’t readily available at the counter. He wandered off without confirming whether he was bringing it or not and returned a few minutes later, slammed them on the table and angrily stormed away. This made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unsatisfied with the service provided at this Nando’s restaurant.

Nadie nos dijo que tenía que ir a un mostrador, ordenar y pagar el plato compartido y luego regresar a nuestro stand. Pollo (fácil para las especias para nosotros), ensalada de repollo y arroz. Había mucho para 2 con respecto al pollo, y estaba perfectamente preparado, tierno y no rojo. Los lados podrían haber sido un poco más grandes. ¡Los refrescos ilimitados son un buen atractivo! Este Nando está en la orilla del río y es parte del Oracle Mall, definitivamente preferible al de la calle Friar, ¡un área menos sabrosa!

Had a meal with two other friends, service was good. Staff friendly enough. Food never lets me down. All around good.

Con la mia famiglia, abbiamo voluto provare questo locale posto sul ponte del centro commerciale Oracle di Reading, dopo aver atteso circa 15 minuti ci siamo accomodati in un tavolo da 4. Qui si ordina, si paga alla cassa e poi te lo portano al tavolo. Abbiamo ordinato un butterfly Burger con limone e erbette con patate fritte regolari, poi 3 doppi chicken burger con patatine fritte anch'esse regolari (ma poche per la verità) poi ancora 1 chicken pitta (pollo alla piastra) Da bere coca cola a volontà. Il pollo è buono ma ci vogliono varie porzioni per saziarti. Il locale è carino e particolare. Il rapporto qualità prezzo non è delle migliori un po' caro...ma sono inglesi e spennano i polli........Effettuano anche servizio da asporto.

Recibimos nuestros entrantes, excepto el mío que olvidaron, 2 minutos después llegaron nuestros platos principales, antes que mi entrante. El entrante llegó 10 minutos después. Tuve que preguntar 6 veces dónde estaba mi principal y pedirle un gerente a 3 personas, finalmente, 20 minutos DESPUÉS de que todos los demás hubieran terminado sus platos principales, llegó mi principal. 10 minutos después se acercó el gerente. Estaba ocupado, pero teniendo en cuenta que los platos principales y entrantes de todos los demás llegaron en 10 minutos, no tengo idea de por qué tardé tanto en obtener mi principal.

A good menue of spicy chiken, portogues style with different levels of spicy sauces to choose from. you've to order your food, pay for it and sit down and it will be delivered to your table.

We didn't book but only had to wait 10 minutes when arriving at peak evening time if 7:30pm. All the food is good, exactly what you expect from any Nando's, so we were very happy with this.

I would never go to this branch again. The staff were rude and dismissive. They were obviously not interested in serving customers! AWFUL!

No es un mal Nando, pero el personal es lo más cercano a Baby Groot que he encontrado.

Pedí una hamburguesa de pollo y medio pollo, dije que quería una porción de papas fritas con cada uno. De alguna manera, la señora que tomó mi pedido me cobró por 3 porciones de papas fritas (solo se dio cuenta cuando fueron servidas), no me impresionó.

I do love a Nando's, but I do try to account for my taste preferences that in my reviews so that my advice can be useful across the board, rather than just to people who like the same food as I do. Taking that on board, even though I've had a few really good meals here, the assembly often doesn't qutie seem up to the standard of the Friar Street Nando's just a few minutes ago, and it seems like one's more likely to get a dry bit of chicken or a wrap where all the sauce is bunched up in one end here. The room is also a bit louder and less pleasant an environment than the nearby Friar Street Nando's and the service there tends to be a little friendlier (Helmut is a don). There's nothing really wrong wtih this Nando's, and a Nando's is a Nando's - it's never going to be that bad and it's never going to absolutely blow my mind, but when given the choice between this and getting a slightly better (on average) example of the same food just up the road, I'd always do the latter. This Nando's can't rate above a 3/5.

Went here on Saturday 19th January very buy so at wait for a table not to long food was excellent service was very good will definitely return again soon

Vibrant atmosphere, wonderful service, ethereal food quality, NANDOs offered us a really grand experience, not so commonly available everywhere.

While visiting reading for Christmas I went to Nando’s on the riverside at the Oracle shopping centre its a great venue a perfect place to eat with a lovely view with outside dining as always Nando’ served up a great meal with plenty of choice from medium to super hot how ever you like it a great place for family and friends to eat out

Haven’t been to Nando’s in a few years, and this venue for about seven years. The food as always is great. The service was really average, apart from the friendly host who did go out of her way to chat while we waited to be seated.

Having worked at Nandos somewhere else in England, I expected the same level of service which I had to deliver when I was a Nandoca. Sadly, this wasn't the case. When I walked in the host wasn't in the greatest of moods and seated me without even asking if I'd been to Nandos before, and important aspect for new customers. Delivering my order was quick and easy. However, the guy who delivered my food simply just said "fino pitta" and walked off without asking if I wanted anything else at all. I saw him do this to a few tables and actually deliver to a wrong table because he placed down the food and walked off, so the customers had to call him back and say the food wasn't theirs.

Ive always been a great fan of nando's peri-peri but tonight was a massive let down, food took ages to come out, drink dispenser is out of order, the neighbouring table whom came way after us were finished when food came and it was the wrong order with bits missing, itll be awhile till i come back again.

As a lover of Peri Peri chicken I was over the moon when Nandos opened in Reading all those years ago.

I have been to this Nandos a few times, but out of all the Nando's i've been to - this is probably the second worst. The food is amazing, you can never beat that. This Nando's is always busy because of it's location, and you can't book a table so it's a first in, first serve. Myself and my partner had an incident previously where we were not allowed in and not given a reason why, so we went to get food elsewhere (at the time the restaurant was half empty), and on the walk back to the car park people were going inside to eat and not being turned away without an explanation. Nando's is cheap and cheerful, but would recommend going to a different one and not the Oracle one.

Tardamos 45 minutos para que obtuviéramos nuestro pedido de una fuente y alas. Eso fue tan sorprendente para mí ya que normalmente Nandos era rápido. El mostrador de cubiertos no tenía tenedores y tuvimos que esperar más tiempo para obtenerlos. En general, la experiencia no fue según las expectativas.

It was mine and my sons first time eating in nandos and I'm not quite sure what all the fuss is about, it's just chicken and quite over priced chicken at that, wont be going back.

Honestly can’t beat a nandos. Went here the other day and was not let down at all. Fabulous!! Can’t wait to have another visit

Tengo poca tolerancia a las especias, pero solía ir a Nando hace unos años y disfrutar del pollo al limón y la hierba sin problemas. Hoy regresé y encontré un nuevo sistema de clasificación con una categoría "muy suave" que era incluso más baja que el limón y la hierba. Lamentablemente es una mentira. Todo el pollo está en una salsa peri peri algo picante, simplemente no le agregan más sabor. También había especias en el chutney y la mayonesa que era parte de mi comida. No pude comerlo y me fui muy decepcionado.

Thought I would try as everyone seems to rave about the place. The food was poor and the portion sizes too small.

Ordered through 'Deliveroo' and recieved exactly as expected! Delicious... on time... what more could you ask for... will definitely order again, thank you <3

Chips cooked from frozen and sides microwaved now the chicken is only cooked for few minutes on grill and is not in marinade that's why is tasteless and without spicy sauce inedible on par with chain supermarket chicken which costs 10th of the price.

Used to love Nando’s for good value, quick service and great food. Was really disappointed tonight. Waited ages for the food and it arrived slightly warm. It was taken back and a new meal cooked and had to wait even longer.

A quick lunch whilst shopping with the family in Reading. It was extremely busy. Food was ok - in that the chicken was pretty good and everything else (i.e. the sides - chips, coleslaw, etc) wasn't great. Certainly not terrible but there are better options in Reading.

The chicken is good, but not as good as it was in Beira, Mozambique in the day. The place is always very noisy so if you want a quite supper don't go here.

First of all i love nandos as a brand. But on this visit very disapointed. Was so busy, the que to order was ridiculous and staff looked very much fed up. I wouldnt of left a review if the food was up to its usual high standards but they got my order wrong!!!!

This restaurant gets very busy, I’m pretty sure the staff were struggling due to how busy it was so I won’t be too hard, however an honest review would be the food came out at different times, one person had there starter and main before anyone else had there starter. When the food came out the chicken was a bit dry, I still ate it and when the waitress asked if everything was okay I mentioned it was dry, she brought me another meal.

We went with 2 children and one of the children's meals didn't arrive until 10 minutes after the rest of the order

Food was good and staff friendly. My review would have been 5 stars however and through no fault of the staff or restaurant, this is probably the busiest restaurant I’ve ever been in. We arrived around 15 mins after it opened and struggled to get a table. When we left customers were queued out of the door waiting for a table !!

Nandos is the best. Never disapouints. I love chicken more than your mum does. Love that hot sauce. #mouthburning

My fav place. 1/2 chicken, chips and Garlic bread. Cannot go wrong. Very reasonably priced and make sure you pick up a loyalty card!!

I made my fist visit to Nando's, heard that it had great chicken, all I can say is avoid the sharing platter of a spatchcock chicken. It looked like road kill, was all bone and no meat! A large rice is barely enough for one and the grains and greens was a couple of mouthfuls. Can't even say that the meat was cooked well, what there was of it, certainly not soft or fell off the bone. It was just about ok, that's it. Shish kebab is better than this. Don't know what all the fuss is about.

Over the years it seams Nando’s is slipping on its standards continuously !!!!

If you want to eat chicken - their chicken is above and beyond in flavour. The Mozambique beer was not bad either. All in all we had a relaxed evening

My son aged 13 wanted go for his birthday so we did, got there at about 1815 and found it to be full and were asked to wait 10 minutes which is perfectly acceptable, small seating area and the Reading Plage outside to look at which was fun. We were taken to the table, clean and tidy and was asked if I had eaten there before, replied no so they explained the procedure this was where, for me, it goes downhill a bit, I don't like standing in a queue to order food , I sort of expect waiters to take the order. That said the server was very nice, explained everything to my son who was ordering for us all and was very efficient, I was surprised I was asked to pay there and then and said what if I want another drink? queue up get it and pay again, OK in a pub, not so much in a restaurant, just my opinion. The food when it arrived was OK, a chicken and two sides to share and the boys had the chicken fillet burgers, the chicken was OK, breast a bit dry but when they are doing so many difficult to do other wise I guess, Nevertheless, very tasty as were the peri salted chips and coleslaw both generous portions, the burgers were very good and moister than the whole chicken, Nothing was left on the plates bar bones so you can tell we hated it!. Overall a good experience, clean, friendly, fairly quick and good food with adequate portions. For me the music was too loud but I am old, also I expect waiter service for the price but again, showing my age. Nandos formula works but I think for the younger end of the market, not mine. Would I eat there again, if asked definitely, would I ever say, "I know, lets go to Nandos", probably not. Nothing wrong, it is good but not to my taste which is a shame because the food is.

I went with the family for lunch and have to say it was really very good indeed. I like it seriously hot my daughter likes tomato sauce so it caters for everyone.

I called to try to book a table (as I can't stand up to wait over half an hour to be seated) and got the response "Sorry we don't do bookings, bye" before hanging up on me. Good way to drum up business..

It took almost a hour and a half for my mates to finally receive there meals, and along with no apologies from the staff I had not received my chicken wings so I’ll be Eating on my own, my mates will also have to withstand and wait for me to finish due to poor work rates.

Quite small and cosy, situated in central Reading just off the shops. It does get quite busy so sometimes its not the best place to visit. However, food is good, staff is nice, chicken is hot !

What fabulous food! As well as in-store food being excellent the takeaway is also very tasty. Starting with a very satisfying self-order, you get your food quickly. With a wide range of sauces and spices, as well as very friendly staff, Nando's is the full package!

Came with family. We enjoyed our food as adults but the children found even the mildest of food for them was too spicy. Shame they don’t offer a children’s completely plain chicken option. Prices have risen over the years but quality of food lovely. Staff nice. Restaurant in good location at the oracle.

I will never eat there again. Food was ok the stuff awfully awful and the prices sucked. im so sorry.

I visited Nandoes yesterday at 7.30pm for a friends birthday. I went to place my order at the till and was served by someone that clearly did not have any idea what he was doing. Firstly when i went to order a glass of red wine with my meal I got told that all of the wine glasses had been smashed earlier that day. I then went to ask so can I not have a glass of wine, he said yeah but it will be have to be in a normal glass. I said that is fine.

Food was an hour late, and the staff were pretty unwelcoming when we got there. Ended up having to ask again as they then forgot half the meal. Manager was very polite and gave us a refund. I still love nandos it was just the staff.

This was a good lunchtime experience. Great value, delicious food and quick service - can't really be beaten. We were seated immediately, we ordered and our food was with us very quickly. Excellent value for money. Will return.

Great food fast service and plenty of large tables for families. Staff are also very helpful and friendly.

Like most Nando's, this one serves brilliant chicken and offers good service. Its bound to be busy and we get to wait nearly everytime we visit. But worth the wait, every single time.
