Beautiful seafood in a fresh and modern restaurant. Very accommodating to us and our baby, so much so we visited for lunch two days in a row. Just what Sidmouth needed. Will definitely be returning!

Lovely, fresh food and good service. We are local and this is one of our favourite places to visit. Seafood is wonderful and we always enjoy our visits here

Very fair. Excellent service, but food very indifferent and not much atmosphere. Used to be so lovely as the blues bar. What else can I say?

Really good chowder and mixed grill Chips not great not needed don’t bother serving them! Just like McDonald’s there’s plenty enough food without them

Outstanding restaurant. We didn’t book and went on a Tuesday night for our wedding anniversary. We are so glad we didn’t eat in the hotel but here instead. Lovely fresh food/ingredients. . Best meal I ve had in a very long time, the restaurant also had a very relaxing and welcoming vibe. Waitress was friendly and attentive. To see others enjoying the food midweek as much as us is a testament to how good this place is (we had the fish options / delicious)

Recommended by a friend but very disappointed. The battered fish was very soggy and the portions of chips pretty stingy, although I was given more when requested. And why is there gluten in the seafood chowder?! We shall not return

We really enjoyed eating at Myca’s. The service is welcoming, efficient and good humoured. Expect beautifully presented and tasty fish, with an extensive selection. Highly recommended.

I savoured the mid-day delights of Myca's during my last visit to Sidmouth last November, when I tried their grilled Halibut which was delicious! This time, (Thursday 11th January) we decided to try the Misto which consisted of 3 different fish, Tuna, Salmon and Sardine and which was served with sauté potatoes and a beautifully prepared salad plus some sauce Tartare. We are both gluten and dairy free and Myca's just took it in their stride....no fuss! The Misto is really to be recommended with its delicate use of garlic, chilli and herbs and its beautiful presentation......ten out of ten !! The lady who served us was very welcoming and attentive and was particularly helpful regarding our allergies. Also the latin jazz background music was just right for the atmosphere without being intrusive or irritating like pop music so often is..... A lunch to really remember.......we'll be back!!

Visited with family for catch up. We had starters to share between 4 and they were lovely, seabream was lush and salmon. Mains were good and catered for allergies without any fuss what so ever. Not rushed. Doh friendly. We will be returning. Nice to see a new place to eat in Sidmoutj.

After reading the glowing reviews I found the food to be very disappointing. In the Seafood Misto (£22, so not cheap) the frozen catering chips were bland; the salad soggy and under-dressed; the monkfish dry, overcooked (or reheated) and tasteless; the swordfish ditto; the seabreem (sic) was OK. The Eton Mess seemed to have been made by someone who had lost the recipe and, despite assurances otherwise, the 2-3 small pieces of crunchy meringue were more likely commercial than homemade. I ate it all because I had paid for it but it wasn't very good. I never complain in a restaurant: either they have done their best but it's just not good enough or they have deliberately served sub-standard food. Either way complaining doesn't do me any good...I just don't go back. I've gone with a generous 3 stars because the staff were nice.

Being a head chef for over 30 years I often find it hard to find places to eat. I live in Sidmouth and work at one of the Hotels. Mycas has been my go to place on days off to eat. The mixed grill was amazing and all the meat was cooked to perfection!. The fish and chips is of good quality and also worth trying. The menu is good and has something for everyone.

Really nice and friendly service but the food doesn't match the price tag. Had a fish platter for £27, really average, looked and tasted like a M&S meal deal, wouldn't recommend this as place to eat.

Simple food, done really well! For years Sidmouth has needed a good restaurant in the heart of town , and finally there is one. Great attentive service, super quantity and quality of the fish and a great price ! All round really good, this was my second visit and every time I visit Sidmouth I will come back ! Keep it up, just great!

Fantastic dinner at Mycas. There were 5 of us and we all had different things, Misto, monkfish curry, carbonara, lamb… all plentiful and delicious. Puddings were fab too. Waitresses kind and friendly. Music ambient and it was nicely busy for a Wednesday. Look forward to returning soon!

Recently opened but already popular I suggest you book in advance. Very informal with friendly chatty waitresses. We enjoyed Prawn Cocktail and Scallops with Prawns for starters. This was followed by Chicken Burger and Carbonara. Be warned helpings are huge. Slightly dissapointing I had the added chicken version of the Carbonara but the chicken was just overlaid on the dish and was therefore slightly dry rather than being cooked in the creamy sauce. I would however return to this restaurant.

A really lovely restaurant with a Mediterranean feel! The service was excellent and the food was sublime! We cannot wait to eat here again to experience more of the same - thank you!

The food was good, but there seems to be something of an emphasis on garlic. Most of the fish is cooked or served with garlic butter, you can choose to have it without the garlic, which two of our party did. They also chose to...

First class experience at this relatively new addition to Sidmouth dining. Chowder as starter or main is highly recommended, as is the Scallop and Prawn combo starter. The table service was pleasant, speedy and made for a very pleasant evening at a reasonable price.

We were staying in the area and after asking a taxi driver which was the best place for fish & chips, we were told here. On arrival (we drove there) the shop looks very modern, clean and like the pictures. There were a few people already waiting but we were quickly served, everyone seemed friendly and they appeared to have a good system in place! Considering the people before us and the selection we ordered, the wait wasn't too long. There were more people coming in and looked like collecting orders. The menu has a good variety & we went for a selection of bits to make up a meal. To feed a group of 3 with (I think!) 8 different options is was around £26 which isn't bad at all- they had a F&C meal offer which I think was about £10 also. The homemade onion rings were SO good! I'm guessing it would be a 5+ min drive to the beach from here, not sure walking distances as we were only in the area for a few days. We were happy and would go again if visiting again! Thank You :)

This is a good fish restaurant situated on the quayside in Exmouth. It is part of a small chain of Devon restaurants and you will not go far wrong if you are looking for a casual night out with good local produce. There is a good selection on the menu and features fresh options on a daily basis. The staff are friendly and efficient which makes for a good night out. Not cheap! We also use their online fishmonger who are excellent & worth trying.

My wife and I have been enjoying this outstanding Fish Bar for over eight years now and have loved every bit of their consistently excellent products, thoughtful service and original atmosphere. We rate them as certainly the best locally and up there in the top three in the country.

I visited the restaurant alone and enjoyed cod, chips, peas, and curry sauce. The cod and chips were freshly made, crispy, and great quality. The curry sauce was spicy and the peas tasty. The service was attentive and courteous. All in all, a really good experience, and from observation, well supported and appreciated by a steady flow of local customers.
