Muse Coffee Co. in Southampton

Mi primera visita a Muse café en Portswood fue una experiencia muy positiva. La zona de estar es amplia y cómoda. Es un gran café para el trabajo y el estudio porque es tranquilo! ¡Estoy tan feliz de haber encontrado finalmente un café en Southampton que no sobreestimule los oídos de los clientes con música alta y hortera! Incluso tienen un bonito rincón "sagrado" en la parte posterior para el tiempo de estudio tranquilo. La selección de bebidas es genial y la comida parece agradable también. El personal es muy amable y servicial. Lugar encantador para relajarse, leer un libro o trabajar en sus proyectos.

Este lugar tenía algunos de los mejores cafés que he tomado, pero el servicio al cliente fue atroz. Pedí un simple café con leche helado con caramelo y el hombre que me servía me preguntó mi edad y si era demasiado joven para estar bebiendo café (no lo bebo regularmente). Entonces su colega se acercó a mi mesa y me dijo en voz alta que si estaba tomando la decisión correcta y si debía cambiar mi orden en voz muy alta indicando mi edad frente a todo el café lleno no volvería a ir.

El café era muy bueno, pero las mesas se dejaron sin despejar y sucio. Los servidores no estaban ocupados. Lo peor fue ir al baño, estaba tan sucio cubierto de excrementos. No hay jabón para limpiar las manos. Asquerosa alfombra. Realmente debe ser reportado a la agencia ambiental como si el personal lo estuviera usando y luego tocando la comida realmente podría ser un problema

Fuimos a la sucursal de Portswood en Southampton. Tenía un gran menú y comida encantadora! El interior era muy cálido y el servicio era eficiente y rápido! ¡Las bebidas Matcha y Cúrcuma eran increíbles! Sin duda me gustaría ir de nuevo por estas dos bebidas. ¡No he tomado bebidas calientes sin azúcar tan encantadoras en años! Una experiencia fantástica en general 😊

Visiting my daughter at Southampton Uni, popped in for tea, friendly staff, nice surroundings, two pots of tea, brownie and the most amazing raspberry croissant.

Great atmosphere. Great coffee and muffins. Excellent location. Would highly recommend. 5 out of 5!!

This is a special place to have coffee. It is always full of learning as Students gravitate here to sit with their phones and their laptops enjoying the beautifully made drinks, cakes and sandwiches etc. The staff are friendly and helpful and a credit to the owner. He himself is caring about his customers and staff and always greet us with a friendly smile and a few words of welcome. There are several coffee shops in Portswood but this is by far the best.

Never been in this coffee shop before and was more than pleasantly surprised. Not only did I get a loyalty card (which I will be using again) but I also had the best hot chocolate I have ever had. The shop was nice and clean and today. Very warm and friendly vibe. I will be back very soon. All staff were great at their job and made us very welcome. I’ll be seeing them soon.

I've got through three loyalty cards so far- there are two Muses in Southampton with a corporate theme but distinct personalities. Table service a nice touch, but crucial with a bag full of shopping, Very good coffee, nice cake, probably not slimming but what the ...

Very average quality made worse by the toxic feminist staff who need to grow up and stop pretending the world owes them something

I live in Portswood and only came in once when the pandemic was happening and you could only sit outside. Ever since I walk passed every day and not been in. Today I came in for a pot of tea and breakfast as not going to lie, went to Coffee #1 first but the service was so slow, I walked out and walked across the road to Muse. So happy I did as the food and service was excellent. The young lady who served me was smiley, friendly and polite. Definitely will be coming here on a regular basis now.

The best flat white in Southampton. Lovely coffee reasonably priced. Waffles also amazing. Service always very good.

Excellent cafe with a great selection of fresh pastries and cakes. Warm environment, friendly staff. My little daughter loved it too! Highly recommended.

After following their Instagram and wanting to visit for months, my husband and I finally got the chance to go to MUSE today. There were only two sandwiches available, which we went for and had toasted, but really didn't enjoy at all, they were tasteless and cheap ingredients (not real cheese used for example, it was burger cheese). The coffee was okay but not even hot. The decor looked cute, but as my husband sat down,noticed his chair was broken, the back and arms completely flopped,which is so dangerous,and a good job it wasn't the chair I chose,as I'm currently on crutches after orthopaedic surgery...! The tables were dirty, the staff disinterested & after seeing other customers reactions,we decided not to risk using the toilets. It's a real shame as I had high hopes for this visit, and it seems that this place used to be amazing so I'm not sure what's happened.

Above average Americano. Desserts all appeared dried out to me and did not seem appealing so we did not order one. Interior was nice, felt like a quaint coffee cafe. Exterior tables were filthy.

Lovely coffee shop, good coffees and teas and some sandwiches, quirky sofas and tables. Tables for 2 and also large ones for bigger groups. Reasonably priced.

Coffee was nice, they offered dairy-free milks which suited us very well. We planned to eat there, however upon using the toilets on arrival we decided against it. The stairs leading to the toilets were filthy - carpet had not been vacuumed in weeks, stair bannisters were covered in filth and dust, windowsill the same. The toilet itself was foul - no toilet paper (had to get tissue from next to the sink!) and had not been cleaned in weeks either. The food prep area was opposite the loos and sported a chipboard floor (again, filthy), and was very drab. Had we not already ordered a coffee, we would have left there and then. Rank, rank, rank!

Visited while visiting my uni student daughter. Such a cute coffee shop. Sustainable food and drink, nice staff, great vibe. Well worth a visit.

Had a great coffee a few weeks ago, so I took some mates today and what a difference. The coffee took ages, and one of them them was wrong. 🙄

popped in for a coffee last sunday afternoon. staff took ages to serve us as were more interested in talking to each other. One of the staff members making the coffee coughed all over hands whilst making our drinks and didn't wash them which immediately put us off. My other half had a hot chocolate which was cold and not very chocolatey. My cappuccino was wasn't very good either and i've definitely had better in the past in the cafe. We were really disappointed!
