MUSE Brasserie - Bristol in Bristol, City of

Came for my 49th birthday with my wife. Waiter was kind but got confused with our order. Mocktails were delicious. Menu reasonably priced. I ordered pigeon breast with polenta starter, and my wife ordered scallops. Neither were cooked properly, unfortunately I swallowed some raw bloody meat before realising. I felt sick within 5 minutes. We sent both dishes back, and I was so ill that we left before the main courses arrived. The manager came and fussed over us, and I saw another waiter's face when they saw what we'd been served, but it was too late. My birthday was ruined and I had severe nausea all evening. They didn't attempt to ask for payment. I leave this review not to warn you off, but to ensure the restaurant improves it's practices. It looked like we missed out on a lovely meal, and even good places get it wrong sometimes.

Great meal and experience! We went for out work Xmas meal and they were attentive to so many of us, the starts, mains and dessert came out in a good pace. They also have complimentary bread and a small soup which was so tasty. The restaurant is beautifully decorated for Xmas too. Hopefully I get to visit with my partner to try other things.

At the heart of our Bristol a new gem appeared. From the bottom of my heart is going appreciated feeling. Highly Satisfied and I Recommend Honestly this lovely place. Huge Compliments to the Chefs.

I had a fantastic evening out with friends and family at Muse Bristol. The service was impeccable. I hosted a large birthday party for around 60 guests. Staff were hands on and responsive from making to booking to settling the bill at the end. They supported with seating and menu arrangements and ensuring the flow of the evening was enjoyable and everyone was looked after. The food itself was fantastic. All the guests commented that they really enjoyed the food, and that they ate their fill. Personally I had the daube de boef and I was blown away by how tender the meat was. To top it off, the venue also provided us with a cake to celebrate while we were singing happy birthday, which was really the icing on the proverbial cake. I would advise for both group bookings or something more small and intimate - the space is well decorated with a great atmosphere.

Good broad menu with option or all diets

Food was fine but not mind blowing, given the price and the small portions! However we had fantastic service from a good humoured young waiter who was very patient with our indecisiveness - thank you!

If you are looking for an unforgettable dining experience then Muse is the place to go. The atmosphere is relaxed and elegant. The service by Kabitha is also uncomfortable she is very kind and energetic and she gives the best suggestions for food each dish has its own taste and keeps its uniqueness. Some of the dishes have a flavour to Kerala food. I have no words to explain about their food…. Thanks, Kabitha.

Lovely place beautiful for date night or evening going out with friends and family. The food was beautiful i had a crab curry so fresh and not to heavy just the perfect size for me and tasted amazing. The waiters were so friendly made it even better, had such a warm welcome and very professional. I never took his name but there was a young boy blonde hair who sat us down explained the menu and told us what the popular dishes were and specials made conversation with us but also kept it the vibe really well. Just over all a great vibe and all the staff and bar staff were really friendly would definitely recommend if you live in Bristol or just visting

2nd visit to Muse this evening, where we invited some friends before attending a show in town. Once again the food was fantastic as was the service & atmosphere. Can’t wait for our next visit. Thanks to you all 👌

Restaurant tour. Nice place. It looks like really geared up for daytime office people on a tight time limit. Fare is as expected, good.

Customer service was poor when I visited, however the food was okay. I won’t be visiting ever again, & it was my partner birthday, shame I went there. Thankfully we left, & went to a better location. However, most of the staff seemed friendly, it was just one particular staff, who kept serving us that was awful, he needs to do better

I love Muse both in Cheltenham and today Bristol. Just lunch today one course so had the Tiffin which is fun in its tin tower. Had this twice before and this one less flavoursome than before, maybe it was a butter chicken. Needed some more ginger and coriander Wife had the bass very tasty. Overall a nice experience always enjoy the warm bread roll whilst waiting.

This was probably one of the most delicious encounters with food in my life. The photos don’t capture the true colors of the appetizers or main dishes. You look at the fish and chips and think, 'it looks like fish and chips,' but the devil is in the details, and that’s the magic of this restaurant. Whatever you take a bite of, you’re first surprised, and then delighted by the taste. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, clean, and has a great atmosphere. I was here with my girlfriend to celebrate another anniversary of us being together. Absolute deliciousness and unforgettable moments! Now someone might think, 'Sounds nice, but the prices must be...' I got the bill and... again, I was pleasantly surprised :). I recommend this place without a shadow of a doubt to anyone who loves to eat tasty food. I emphasize... TASTY. Thank you to all the chefs and waitstaff for this evening!!! AMAZING!!!

Really nice restaurant. We had some ravioli of pumping filling and one risotto of mushrooms and truffle oil. They give you some bread at the beginning with butter as a gift. Staff nice and efficient. Place is cozy and good atmosphere.

Everything was perfect and couldn't fault anything. Food was exceptional, the waiter was professional yet friendly and the ambience was sublime. Everything was 10/10.

The service was ok and the atmosphere pleasant. The amuse bouche was possibly the best part of the meal. The scallop starter had 1 scallop and 1 prawn and the fusion with Indian flavours just didn’t work. The main cauliflower dish was lacking flavour and complexity and tasted bland. There was a noticeable absence of the rich layering of spices making the meal feel one dimensional and unsophisticated. The chicken tikka was served in elaborate style but arrived cold, overcooked and dry. It seemed in the same sauce again as the starter and cauliflower main and similarly unsophisticated. More supermarket flavours than restaurant. Such a shame given their efforts to make it a nice experience.

Excellent. Outstanding impeccable service from all staff. The best service I have experience since ever. And it really makes a difference. You feel like you are somewhere really special. The food quality and drinks also excellent. A very good drinks menu that does not try and cover low quality local ales and pseudo lagers etc etc. Very very good all round from start to finish. Lovely place. Highly recommended and very easy.

I booked a table for my wedding anniversary. Our experience from the moment we walked in was great. The food was impressive and we would definitely come back here again.

The food here is sublime, flavour combinations are spot on, service and presentation also. The atmosphere was good, drinks were nice too, but the food made it really special, and its reasonably priced - highly recommend 👌

The service, the welcome are very good, the ceviche starter was very good, with the particular name of the eggplant and zucchini gratin I was expecting something special but in fact no, it was good, no different flavor, the gourmet coffee is very disappointing, offering frozen at this price is a shame, a decent coffee, a coffee whose glass is coated with flavorless grated coconut also a shame compared to the price. The red wine was a nice discovery but not sure the price matched what was in the glass. In relation to the desired standard of the restaurant, the waiter should make progress in the way he places a “hot” plate or not on the table. Frankly, for the presentation that is made on the front of the restaurant it can seem a bit pretentious, a little pompous compared to what is actually on the plate but hey given that it is well placed in the neighborhood I suppose that's why. It's a charming, warm restaurant, the waitress was adorable, the barmaid was friendly, we go there for the deco for the atmosphere but not necessarily for the culinary journey. Correct restaurant. Went in with a group from work and we were pushed for time, the staff responded to our request to allow us to have a main course in double quick time and I have to say it was cooked to perfection. I had the fillet steak and pepper corn sauce and it was superb, I am just disappointed that I didn't get to enjoy a starter and desert.

Cannot fault this place. A fusion of french/indian with a twist. Great service, quality food, almost don't want to tell everyone!! Will definitely return.

17 of us came here on a hen do. We booked in advance and sent in pre-orders which meant the service was smooth and easy. The staff were lovely and attentive and the foot was delicious! Would definitely recommend, especially for a large group.

We’ve always been huge fans of the Muse evening offering, but decided to try the Sunday roast. Absolutely blown away by the quality of the food, coupled with the usual Muse fantastic customer service and drinks menu. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed

Environment itself is wonderful, well kept, and clean from the table to the toilets. Very attentive servers and cuisine was lovely with Indian inspiration, reflecting the chefs' backgrounds and culinary expertise. Overall, a wonderful place for fine-dining.

Really enjoyed my meal at Muse. Every single dish was lovely. Star of the show for us definitely was salmon and that strawberry daiquiri that waiter made for us. Unfortunately i don't remember his name ,you can only see his hands on the video,but he was mega professional, welcoming and just great all around !

We were so impressed with the presentation of the food, the attention to detail to the appearance and decor of the restaurant. As a vegetarian I was impressed with the variety of options, the jackfruit sausages were delicious. If you are looking for a beautiful restaurant, with amazing food, and instagramable picture, Muse is the perfect spot!

I visited Muse Brasserie with my girlfriends and there isn’t a single thing to fault. The ambience, the service, the team, the food…EVERYTHING! The soft shell crab was so fresh and magically paired with the MOST delicious mango sauce. The beef fillet was super tender and melted in my mouth. I also highly recommend the Limoncello and Espresso Martini cocktail deserts, they were to die for! To be in Bristol and not visit Muse Brasserie is edging on sinful. P.s - the interior is BEAUTIFUL (perfect for those girlie insta selfies!)

We celebrated our wedding anniversary by visiting Muse. Recommend to me by my sister, it was an excellent choice. Staff were very attentive providing recommendations. Kavitha our hostess was lovely and sweet. The food was excellent quality. Amuse bouche and baked bread where tasty. We ordered duck which was succulent and cooked perfectly. My husbands butter chicken was tasteful and chicken was moist. They had amazing cocktails. The staff suprised us with a small dessert with anniversary written on it. Will definitely visit again

My new favourite place to eat, cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The atmosphere and decoration of the restaurant is absolutely stunning, down to the last detail. The service was impeccable and appreciated their recommendations. The food was delicious and paired with a lovely wine. You must give this place a visit!

Have been several times and always excellent good and service - went today for Sunday lunch which was really good - several slices of excellent beef with all the trimmings - wine list is very good and excellent value. As usual staff are friendly attentive and professional- a restaurant to savour

First time visiting this lovely restaurant and certainly won’t be the last. I was treating an elderly friend for her birthday and the staff were really lovely even bringing a cushion for my friends back and other members of staff really friendly. The duck terrine was the best I’ve ever had and the fish of the day gorgeous. We couldn’t manage a dessert, but they came out with a chocolate dessert and candle and sang happy bIrthday. Making my friend feel very special. Thank you very much x

We stayed in Bristol for a few days to celebrate our birthdays, and we were so glad we chose Muse for our 'special celebration'. The professionalism and friendliness of the staff was exceptional. The food was well cooked with a lovely hint of spice. The complimentary starter and birthday desert were unexpected and delightful. The ambience and decoration were perfect, and we did not feel that the price was unrealistic to a lot of restaurants we go to currently. Thank you, you are a credit to Bristol

OUTSTANDING! We were trying to choose a restaurant for a special birthday occasion and Muse Brasserie firstly caught my eye with the amazing decor that with colours coordinates with any occasion, and then I check the menu and the reviews that all sounded and looked inviting..... So we booked it! Firstly to get there if you can't drive or don't want to drive.... there's a bus stop directly outside and very convenient. On arrival, you step through the door and take that turning and it's that wow factor and we were pleasantly greeted at the reception by a gentleman who instantly made us feel welcomed ... greeted and seated. Everything was explained from the menu and anything we didn't know or wanted to know... someone was to hand and to happy to help. The restaurant had an awesome feel and atmosphere about it that we just loved and knew it was top choice. We started to make our choice from Starters, main and dessert..... rewind back abit.... as inbetween that, we were pleasantly served a courtesy start of fresh tomato soup served delicately with a fresh homemade onion bhaji and fresh roll or your choice seeded or non-seeded. Then it was the serving and presentation of the starters and main..... which was second to none and the taste was spot on to the taste buds and meats of our choice were so succulent. To complete our meals we ordered our desserts ... inwhich then a surprise chocolate mousse style cake slice with a lighted candle was served to the birthday Girl and we sang Happy Birthday. Our evening was truly complimented in every way possible there with an awesome venue, the top staff and the truly divine meal, not forgetting the fab drinks too.... we were happily snapping, capturing from every angle we could of this special occasion & restaurant. 📸 Muse Brassiere - Bristol ..... we THANK YOU ALL EVER SO MUCH for making all of us feel special in such a beautiful and uplifting venue, that I would truly recommend to go for any occasion and at any time.... as the place will truly accommodate you and for sure we will return again. 🙏🏼🙌🍽🍹😋👌🎉🥂🍾💝 Personally.... we all partly ordered different meals and everything was truly delicious, fresh and presentation was top... to the point, I didn't want to cut into it! 😁 They also ensure that they accommodate you with any dietary requirements where ever they possibly can by checking first off. We came from out of town looking for somewhere special to have dinner - then we found Muse. The service was fantastic and the staff couldn’t do enough to help us! The owner Frank came to talk to us and really made us feel welcome. Their cheese soufflé was served in 15 minutes and was the best I’ve ever had. The French-Indian fusion means if you are vegetarian, pescatarian or anything else this restaurant is for you. If we are back in town this will be top of our list to return to. Thank you!

Superb food and great service in luxury surroundings

I went here with a large group for a business dinner and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The food was great and the staff was very attentive, especially when managing several large parties all at once. Would recommend!

I went yesterday evening for a dinner and I was impressed by the service and the quality of the food. We arrived late in the evening as we came to Bristol from London and they didn’t have any problem serving us that late. French Indian fusion meals with amazing staffs. One of the best chicken I ever ate! Hardly recommend and if I’m back to Bristol I’m sure I’ll come back again! Keep the good work!

Wonderful dining experience at Muse Brasserie! I came with my family and we ordered drinks, starters (entrees), mains (plats), and dessert. Every single dish was delicious, with the freshest ingredients and vibrant flavours. Many great vegetarian/vegan options. A little pricey, but absolutely worth it. We came right when they opened so it was very quiet and the service was excellent. The design of the restaurant is also amazing, like something out of a storybook! Cannot recommend this spot enough.

Food was delicious and extremely filling, perfect combo between artsy and fine dining as well as going home stuffed! Wonderful decorations and overall extremely happy for my 30th birthday dinner! This is a beautiful, clean and tastefully decorated restaurant with such friendly, efficient staff. The food is presented very attractively and is very tasty. I completed a satisfaction card on conclusion of the meal mentioning that we were there celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and within minutes we were delivered a complimentary dessert which was a nice touch. A lovely experience from start to finish and a place I would definately recommend.

Came here at the weekend and had the roasted aubergine and was highly disappointed. I was expecting much more from the dish than what was given. The sauce was an interesting take on bolognaise.

Polite staff, reasonably priced, decent portions. I had the goats cheese for the starter. Had an interesting crisp lotus thing on top. Came with two sauces. I like how they provided free bread and an appetiser, I've never gotten free bread before from a fancy restaurant. I had the Le tiffin for the main. I'm not sure how they made the chicken but it was quite tender with a nice texture and had like a kind of char to it. I enjoyed the chicken tikka sauce. I could have made superior and more flavourful rice though. I was worried about the portion size initially but ultimately it was fine. My friend had the mushroom pastry thing, he liked it.

Actually went twice in 3 weeks the first time was so good. Staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, decor is fun and whilst the tables are closely situated it still feels like you have some intimacy. The viognier here is gorgeous. Had the special starter and main - deep fried soft shell crab and stone bass with polenta chips. Both incredible. All the little sauces and additional flavours just bring the dishes into 4D. Complimentary warm sourdough bread roll and vegan friendly amuse bouche are touches which ensure this won't be the last time I visit.

Had an absolutely beautiful dinner here on Thursday evening. Food and cocktails were beautiful but honestly I think he staff made this place! They were so welcoming, friendly and so knowledgeable when it came to drinks pairings and the menu. I will be sure to visit again when I’m back in the city and would highly recommend visiting.

Delightful vibe in this restaurant. Great attention to detail for us as vegetarians. Good advice from Deepak about what we could and should eat. Service was attentive without being in your face. We were celebrating 10 years since we met. A celebratory cake was unexpectedly served to us. We appreciated that touch. Would definitely visit again.

Deepak the manager warmly greeted us and explained the menu when my friend and I visited on Saturday for a birthday lunch. Everything was so special - such a pretty, vintage inspired restaurant offering an exciting array of dishes and perfect cocktails. The lemon meringue one was divine - topped with blow torched meringue. Peppercorn sauce for the steak and sorbets were home made and delicious. They have an incredible chef here. A few little suggestions to create perfection. 1. ditch the frozen chips Although they are quite nice (as far as frozen chips go) they are still frozen chips. 2. Double the size of your cocktails. 3. Ditto the sorbet! Highly recommend Well worth a visit. You’ll need to book though.

My partner and I went here to celebrate my graduation and the whole experience was honestly perfect. The food was absolutely delicious (and very adaptable to dietary requirements). The service was so friendly and accommodating regarding special requests. The atmosphere was lovely. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. I really could not fault any part of the experience. The attention to detail was really impressive and it really felt like everyone was happy to be there and cared about the service being provided. I highly highly recommend!

Great food and service at Muse. Had a meal to celebrate my wife's birthday. My wife had crispy pork belly followed by braised beef blade and I had fried goats cheese followed by rib-eye steak. No room for dessert. Food was first class other than the chips with the steak which seemed like the frozen type. Bill was reasonable and service great
