We went for breakfast on a Thursday morning. We both had savoury galettes which were excellent, we were also cheeky and ordered a dessert crepe which was just as good. Would definitely go back.

Absolutely delicious Breton food and cider, lovely to sit outside in the sunshine, and great staff. What more could you want?!

What a find! Delicious crepes, perfect outdoor seating for a sunny day, & affordable prices. We ordered two savoury, and a sweet, with a drink each. My fav was lotus. Its a shame my iphone’s camera malfunctioned so you can’t see the beauty that it truly was. We paid a total of 20£ each!

We stopped here for crepes and coffee for breakfast. Both were fantastic and the place feels very French and authentic. The staff were also very friendly.

French waiter not welcoming! We felt like we were in the way! We even had to count our bill because we were several couples. To flee!

What can I say, the welcome is far from pleasant, even optional. Very unfortunate. Move on, Bristol is full of places where the waiters have a smile and the desire to serve customers.

If you are bored with pubs and fish and chip. Here you find a good taste of France.

Authentic galette I’ve dreamt of since I come back from France💯 I went for late lunch around 14:00 on Friday by my own. Excellent customer service made me feel welcomed instantly. There were a group of grown ups enjoying wine, two girls catching up, a first date (I believe) happening and a solo man smashing both galette and crepes. Chez Marcel is perfect for any occasion and I’m definitely taking my family and friends with me next time!

Muy promedio. Masa dura, crepes salados. ¿Sólo se cocinaron por un lado? Todos nos sentimos un poco mal después de la comida. Si esta crêperie se abriera en Bretaña (de donde soy) cerraría dentro de 2 semanas. ¿Y por qué la puerta tiene que permanecer abierta todo el tiempo? Hace frío en febrero. Yo no recomendaría.

Small cozy little French Crepes/pancake place. Had to savory LA BEC “ butter, egg, and cheese” which was quite nice. The coffee was amazing. The staff were nice and welcoming.

The galettes were the best I've eaten in years. All of them are gluten-free too! The crepes were also amazing. It's such an attractive little place, and with the staff apparently all being French you can kind of imagine you're in France - the food is certainly good enough. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful hidden gem. I love sitting somewhere and feeling like I'm not just another customer, very nice staff and what I presume was the owner seemed passionate. The food wasn't served with fancy plates or cutlery, it doesn't need it! Delicious honest food. Please try this spot.

We have eaten at Chez Marcel several time now and love it. We have a galette each, this time we chose "La Bergère" and "La Farick" Both really delicious, accompanied by a lovely cup of tea. Always a great welcome and perfect galettes. We will return!

This place gets a glorious thumbs up from us; only popped in for a coffee but the service, attitude and style was spot on and the young lady made the coffee really well. Chef seems like a real Don too. Looking forward to coming back here for food. Nice🎩 💜💫💜

I tried the Nordic galette (with smoked salmon) and it was delicious. We arrived just after 9am on a Tuesday and we were the only customers so there's very convenient times in terms of avoiding the crowds: however on the flipside, it seemed the two staff were still busy cleaning the restaurant as I had to walk in to place the order rather than expecting table service. Their coffee was decent (lacking the modern latte art of many espresso-serving establishments) and their al fresco seating was refreshing even though it's close to vehicles.

Espolón del momento visita. Había pasado antes y decidió darle una oportunidad. El restaurante parece auténtico desde el exterior y hace honor a eso cuando entras. Bienvenida amable y un menú que ofrece un montón de opciones sin ser abrumador. Fuimos por una galette salada con queso y salchicha picante y un par de dulces. Todos fueron servidos calientes, eran de un tamaño decente y absolutamente delicioso. El café era bueno también. El servicio fue amable sin ser demasiado intrusivo y tuvo una buena charla con nuestro servidor sobre Normandía después. Realmente lo disfrutamos y volveremos

Tasty food, and surprisingly filling. It's a small place but there is also some outdoor seating. The staff were chatty and friendly. Unfortunately there were building works going on in the street outside when we visited.

I recently visited this charming shop that offers both sweet and savoury crepes. I chose for the savoury crepe and it was delicious. The feeling was favourable and perfectly balanced the ambulance. The vibes of the shop is cozy and comfortable, I’m looking forward to try another one of their sweet crepes next time! Highly recommended.

Lovely little Creperie in Bristol. Not sure how I haven't found this place sooner, but will definitely be going back for my pancake fix. Not having a sweet tooth I went for one of the savoury pancakes - 'La Complete' (ham, emmental and egg) and a mug of dry cider.

Such a cute spot, visited in the afternoon. We got one sweet crepe and one savoury, both were lovely :) The service was really good and speedy! Sat by the window - we almost felt like we were in France!

What a great find - Galettes were delicious and transported us back to French holidays. I had the spinach and goats cheese - delicious. We have been searching for a brunch spot in Bristol Centre for a long time. Most have been disappointing and often trying too hard to be trendy - in our experience this means expensive. We received a friendly welcome and our food arrived quickly - all freshly made - superb. We will most definitely return when we are next visiting Bristol.

Lured in by the irresistible smell, my daughter and I had gorgeous crepe breakfast (mine, savoury; daughter’s, sweet). If we hadn’t been leaving Bristol later that day, we would have definitely come back to sample more of the menu. Reminded me of France and staff were lovely.

Been there a couple of times and the food is really good! Just this one time, one of the crepes we ordered was extra salty, and tried to tell the server about it, but they were kinda rude and refused to do anything about it, saying it's the same batter, just one can't be extra salty :/

Blimey what a treat. I had L'Andalouse (chorizo, Emmenthal, egg), she had la Forestiere (Jambo , Emmenthal, egg). Cooked great. Coffee is also bang on. Cosy, nice atmosphere, decor, music, people. Clean toilets. Vive la France.

Chez Marcel is an authentic french creperie in Bristol. Their crepes taste the same as the ones you could eat in France; both savory and sweet crepes are good, prices are decent too. The service is efficient, the atmosphere is friendly, there are tables outside but you can also seat inside. There’s no other creperie in town so it’s a popular spot, but we never had to wait for too long to get a table. I’d surely recommend if you like french crepes.

Food was nothing special and it was overpriced. Service was sloppy - they never brought out my drink and they kind of threw the cutlery onto my table instead of placing it gently like normal. At least they don't auto add service charge to your bill.

I think the price is a bit expensive for what you get, but I really love the atmosphere in here, the decor is appealing & it's tasty.

I arrived at 3:15 pm and was waiting outside by the door for my friend to arrive so we can be seated, meanwhile people were entering the restaurant and just sat down they didn’t even order. My friend arrived at 3:20 and we came into the place as the guy was taking some people’s orders then he came to us and we asked for a table for 2, he said sorry you can’t sit you can just get takeaway and some people literally just ordered. The restaurant says it closes at 4 pm on google maps and on the sign outside the restaurant so if its 3:20 it’s supposed to be still open. VERY DISAPPOINTING

I went for breakfast, the venue is small but cosy, I also appreciated the background music and the atmosphere in general. I took a crêpe with chocolate sauce and orange marmalade. It was good but not very balanced. The marmalade bitterness covered almost completely the taste of the chocolate. That was also because the chocolate sauce has a very mild taste and remains too "neutral". The hot chocolate wasn't hot, unfortunately. Globally it was an ok experience, hence the three stars.

Girlfriend and I went for a Crêpe and a beer here for brunch on the weekend and enjoyed the welcome, the food and the peaceful location very much.

I had no idea crepes could taste this good. Mine was a savoury with ham, eggs, mushrooms and gruyere - delicious and not too heavy compared with a trad English breakfast. Had to wait a bit for them to arrive being a busy Saturday morning but well worth it.

Written work from 9:00 to 16:00. As a result, they open late and close earlier. The attitude towards customers is terrible, the service leaves much to be desired. Tried to make the delivery was refused. Expect something big from the service is not worth it. Because they don't care about you. According to the rest of the reviews, I can see it too. This is the only place where the service is poor. The only thing that pleases is only the food and sometimes the products are not super fresh, that's all. It's best to go to “Creams Cafe” (sweet crepes) or to “Quick Crepes” (with sweet and meat crepes). They are located nearby.

The crepes here is FANTASTIC!! They got a full range of savoury and sweet crepes and We just one of them each! We both loved the savoury one so much, it is pretty much a breakfast with the crispy crepes! Also do love the Nutella one as well with nuts! Definitely going to try the sweet one with ice cream next time!

Probably the best crepe and galette I have ever had so far. We ordered La Speisse and La Nordique. The chocolate sauce on La Speisse was so addicting, combined with orange jam, very classic really, what's not to like? La Nordique was kind of fancy, with the salmon and the caviar. You should eat every component together in one bite to really appreciate the harmony: saltiness from the salmon and caviar, creaminess of the cottage cheese, and a hint of sourness from the lemon. Both were huge in size and we had just eaten something filling right before coming here but we managed to finish everything off since it was that good.

It took an hour and a half for us to get our food . It was nice and all but not worth the wait

Service is so bad. Never experienced such a bad service like that in bristol . I’ve lived in bristol for 4years and never been treated in that way in a restaurant. I came with my family and there were 2 empty tables . No one welcomed us so we sat and we suddenly hear “ hay hay hay” what are you doing. I politely replied that we are looking for a table for 4 and he said “ no no no” you need to wait. I again politely replied” how much is the waiting time” he said I don’t know and I can’t tell you but in a way that he seemed he didn’t want to welcome us or that he didn’t even want us to wait. I told him there is an empty table and he replied” yes there is an empty table , I am very busy , I cannot serve you” . I was not upset by the words he used but his tone was discussing. I’ve tried the restaurants 3 months ago , the food was amazing , but I think if they keep on treating some guests that way, they would loose them
